1. അക്കാലത്തു യഹോവ എന്നോടുനീ മുമ്പിലത്തെപോലെ രണ്ടു കല്പലക വെട്ടിയെടുത്തു എന്റെ അടുക്കല് പര്വ്വതത്തില് കയറിവരിക; മരംകൊണ്ടു ഒരു പെട്ടകവും ഉണ്ടാക്കുക.

1. In the same time the Lord said vnto me, Hewe thee two Tables of stone like vnto the first, and come vp vnto me into the Mount, and make thee an Arke of wood,

2. നീ ഉടെച്ചുകളഞ്ഞ മുമ്പിലത്തെ പലകകളില് ഉണ്ടായിരുന്ന വചനങ്ങള് ഞാന് ആ പലകകളില് എഴുതും; നീ അവയെ ആ പെട്ടകത്തില് വെക്കേണം എന്നു കല്പിച്ചു.

2. And I will write vpon the Tables ye wordes that were vpon the first Tables, which thou brakest, and thou shalt put them in the Arke.

3. അങ്ങനെ ഞാന് ഖദിരമരംകൊണ്ടു ഒരു പെട്ടകം ഉണ്ടാക്കി മുമ്പിലത്തേവ പോലെ രണ്ടു കല്പലക വെട്ടിയെടുത്തു കയ്യില് ആ പലകയുമായി പര്വ്വതത്തില് കയറി.

3. And I made an Arke of Shittim wood, and hewed two Tables of stone like vnto the first, and went vp into the Mountaine, and the two Tables in mine hand.

4. മഹായോഗം ഉണ്ടായിരുന്ന നാളില് യഹോവ പര്വ്വതത്തില് തീയുടെ നടുവില്നിന്നു നിങ്ങളോടു അരുളിച്ചെയ്ത പത്തു കല്പനയും യഹോവ മുമ്പിലത്തെ എഴുത്തുപോലെ പലകകളില് എഴുതി, അവയെ എന്റെ പക്കല് തന്നു.

4. Then he wrote vpon the Tables according to the first writing (the tenne commandements, which the Lord spake vnto you in the Mount out of the middes of the fire, in the day of the assemblie) and the Lord gaue them vnto me.

5. അനന്തരം ഞാന് തിരിഞ്ഞു പര്വ്വതത്തില് നിന്നു ഇറങ്ങി ഞാന് ഉണ്ടാക്കിയിരുന്ന പെട്ടകത്തില് പലക വെച്ചു; യഹോവ എന്നോടു കല്പിച്ചതുപോലെ അവ അവിടെത്തന്നേ ഉണ്ടു. -

5. And I departed, and came downe from the Mount, and put the Tables in the Arke which I had made: and there they be, as the Lord commanded me.

6. യിസ്രായേല്മക്കള് ബെനേ-ആക്കാന് എന്ന ബേരോത്തില്നിന്നു മോസരയിലേക്കു യാത്രചെയ്തു. അവിടെവെച്ചു അഹരോന് മരിച്ചു; അവിടെ അവനെ അടക്കംചെയ്തു; അവന്റെ മകന് എലെയാസാര് അവന്നു പകരം പുരോഹിതനായി.

6. And ye children of Israel tooke their iourney from Beeroth of the children of Iaakan to Mosera, where Aaron dyed, and was buried, and Eleazar his sonne became Priest in his steade.

7. അവിടെനിന്നു അവര് ഗുദ്ഗോദെക്കും ഗുദ്ഗോദയില് നിന്നു നീരൊഴുകൂള്ള ദേശമായ യൊത്-ബത്തെക്കും യാത്രചെയ്തു.

7. From thence they departed vnto Gudgodah, and from Gudgodah to Iotbath a land of running waters.

8. അക്കാലത്തു യഹോവ ലേവിഗോത്രത്തെ യഹോവയുടെ നിയമ പെട്ടകം ചുമപ്പാനും ഇന്നുവരെ നടന്നുവരുന്നതുപോലെ യഹോവയുടെ സന്നിധിയില് നിന്നു ശുശ്രൂഷചെയ്വാനും അവന്റെ നാമത്തില് അനുഗ്രഹിപ്പാനും വേറുതിരിച്ചു.

8. The same time ye Lord separated the tribe of Leui to beare the Arke of the couenant of the Lord, and to stand before ye Lord, to minister vnto him, and to blesse in his Name vnto this day.

9. അതുകൊണ്ടു ലേവിക്കു അവന്റെ സഹോദരന്മാരോടുകൂടെ ഔഹരിയും അവകാശവും ഇല്ല; നിന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവ അവന്നു വാഗ്ദത്തം ചെയ്തതുപോലെ യഹോവ തന്നേ അവന്റെ അവകാശം. -

9. Wherefore Leui hath no part nor inheritance with his brethren: for the Lord is his inheritance, as the Lord thy God hath promised him.

10. ഞാന് മുമ്പിലത്തെപ്പോലെ നാല്പതു രാവും നാല്പതു പകലും പര്വ്വതത്തില് താമസിച്ചു; ആ പ്രാവശ്യവും യഹോവ എന്റെ അപേക്ഷ കേട്ടു; നിന്നെ നശിപ്പിക്കാതിരിപ്പാന് യഹോവേക്കു സമ്മതമായി.

10. And I taried in the mount, as at ye first time, fourtie dayes and fourtie nightes, and the Lord heard me at that time also, and the Lord would not destroy thee.

11. പിന്നെ യഹോവ എന്നോടുനീ എഴുന്നേറ്റു യാത്രപുറപ്പെട്ടു ജനത്തിന്നു മുന്നടക്ക; അവര്ക്കും കൊടുക്കുമെന്നു ഞാന് അവരുടെ പിതാക്കന്മാരോടു സത്യംചെയ്ത ദേശം അവര് ചെന്നു കൈവശമാക്കട്ടെ എന്നു കല്പിച്ചു.

11. But the Lord said vnto me, Arise, goe forth in the iourney before the people, that they may goe in and possesse the land, which I sware vnto their fathers to giue vnto them.

12. ആകയാല് യിസ്രായേലേ, നിന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവയെ ഭയപ്പെടുകയും അവന്റെ എല്ലാവഴികളിലും നടക്കയും അവനെ സ്നേഹിക്കയും നിന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവയെ പൂര്ണ്ണഹൃദയത്തോടും പൂര്ണ്ണമനസ്സോടുംകൂടെ സേവിക്കയും

12. And nowe, Israel, what doth the Lord thy God require of thee, but to feare the Lord thy God, to walke in all his wayes, and to loue him, and to serue the Lord thy God, with all thine heart, and with all thy soule?

13. ഞാന് ഇന്നു നിന്നോടു ആജ്ഞാപിക്കുന്ന യഹോവയുടെ കല്പനകളും ചട്ടങ്ങളും നിന്റെ നന്മെക്കായി പ്രമാണിക്കയും വേണം എന്നല്ലാതെ നിന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവ നിന്നോടു ചോദിക്കുന്നതു എന്തു?

13. That thou keepe the commandements of the Lord, and his ordinances, which I commaund thee this day, for thy wealth?

14. ഇതാ, സ്വര്ഗ്ഗവും സ്വര്ഗ്ഗാധി സ്വര്ഗ്ഗവും ഭൂമിയും അതിലുള്ളതൊക്കെയും നിന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവേക്കുള്ളവ ആകുന്നു.

14. Beholde, heauen, and the heauen of heauens is the Lords thy God, and the earth, with all that therein is.

15. നിന്റെ പിതാക്കന്മാരോടു മാത്രം യഹോവേക്കു പ്രീതിതോന്നി അവരെ സ്നേഹിച്ചു; അവരുടെ ശേഷം അവരുടെ സന്തതിയായ നിങ്ങളെ ഇന്നുള്ളതുപോലെ അവന് സകലജാതികളിലും വെച്ചു തിരഞ്ഞെടുത്തു.

15. Notwithstanding, the Lord set his delite in thy fathers to loue them, and did choose their seede after them, euen you aboue all people, as appeareth this day.

16. ആകയാല് നിങ്ങള് നിങ്ങളുടെ ഹൃദയത്തിന്റെ അഗ്രചര്മ്മം പരിച്ഛേദന ചെയ്വിന് ; ഇനിമേല് ദുശ്ശാഠ്യമുള്ളവരാകരുതു.

16. Circumcise therefore the foreskin of your heart, and harden your neckes no more.

17. നിങ്ങളുടെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവ ദേവാധിദൈവവും കര്ത്താധികര്ത്താവുമായി വല്ലഭനും ഭയങ്കരനുമായ മഹാദൈവമല്ലോ; അവന് മുഖം നോക്കുന്നില്ല പ്രതിഫലം വാങ്ങുന്നതുമില്ല.

17. For the Lord your God is God of gods, and Lord of lordes, a great God, mightie and terrible, which accepteth no persons nor taketh reward:

18. അവന് അനാഥര്ക്കും വിധവമാര്ക്കും ന്യായം നടത്തിക്കൊടുക്കുന്നു; പരദേശിയെ സ്നേഹിച്ചു അവന്നു അന്നവും വസ്ത്രവും നലകുന്നു.

18. Who doeth right vnto the fatherlesse and widowe, and loueth the stranger, giuing him foode and rayment.

19. ആകയാല് നിങ്ങള് പരദേശിയെ സ്നേഹിപ്പിന് ; നിങ്ങളും മിസ്രയീംദേശത്തു പരദേശികളായിരുന്നുവല്ലോ.

19. Loue ye therefore the stranger: for ye were strangers in the land of Egypt.

20. നിന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവയെ നീ ഭയപ്പെടേണം; അവനെ സേവിക്കേണം; അവനോടു ചേര്ന്നിരിക്കേണം; അവന്റെ നാമത്തില് സത്യം ചെയ്യേണം.

20. Thou shalt feare the Lord thy God: thou shalt serue him, and thou shalt cleaue vnto him, and shalt sweare by his Name.

21. അവന് ആകുന്നു നിന്റെ പുകഴ്ച; അവന് ആകുന്നു നിന്റെ ദൈവം; നീ കണ്ണാലെ കണ്ടിട്ടുള്ള മഹത്തും ഭയങ്കരവുമായ കാര്യങ്ങളെ നിനക്കുവേണ്ടി ചെയ്തതു അവന് തന്നേ.

21. He is thy praise, and hee is thy God, that hath done for thee these great and terrible things, which thine eyes haue seene.

22. നിന്റെ പിതാക്കന്മാര് എഴുപതു ദേഹികളായി മിസ്രയീമിലേക്കു ഇറങ്ങിപ്പോയി; ഇപ്പോഴോ നിന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവ നിന്നെ പെരുക്കി ആകാശത്തിലെ നക്ഷത്രങ്ങളെപ്പോലെ ആക്കിയിരിക്കുന്നു.

22. Thy fathers went downe into Egypt with seuentie persons, and now the Lord thy God hath made thee, as ye starres of ye heauen in multitude.
