1. നിന്റെ പിതാക്കന്മാരുടെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവ നിനക്കു അവകാശമായി തരുന്ന ദേശത്തു നിങ്ങള് ഭൂമിയില് ജീവിച്ചിരിക്കുന്ന നാളെല്ലാം പ്രമാണിച്ചു നടക്കേണ്ടുന്ന ചട്ടങ്ങളും വിധികളും ആവിതു

1. 'Here are the laws that you are to obey as long as you live in the land that the LORD, the God of your ancestors, is giving you. Listen to them!

2. നിങ്ങള് ദേശം കൈവശമാക്കുവാന് പോകുന്ന ജാതികള് ഉയര്ന്ന പര്വ്വതങ്ങളിന് മേലും കുന്നുകളിന് മേലും എല്ലാപച്ചമരത്തിന് കീഴിലും തങ്ങളുടെ ദേവന്മാരെ സേവിച്ച സ്ഥലങ്ങളൊക്കെയും നിങ്ങള് അശേഷം നശിപ്പിക്കേണം.

2. In the land that you are taking, destroy all the places where the people worship their gods on high mountains, on hills, and under green trees.

3. Tear down their altars and smash their sacred stone pillars to pieces. Burn their symbols of the goddess Asherah and chop down their idols, so that they will never again be worshiped at those places.

4. നിങ്ങളുടെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവയെ ആ വിധത്തില് സേവിക്കേണ്ടതല്ല.

4. 'Do not worship the LORD your God in the way that these people worship their gods.

5. നിങ്ങളുടെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവ തന്റെ നാമം സ്ഥാപിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു നിങ്ങളുടെ സകലഗോത്രങ്ങളിലുംവെച്ചു തിരഞ്ഞെടുക്കുന്ന സ്ഥലത്തു നിങ്ങള് തിരുനിവാസദര്ശനത്തിന്നായി ചെല്ലേണം.

5. Out of the territory of all your tribes the LORD will choose the one place where the people are to come into his presence and worship him.

6. അവിടെ തന്നേ നിങ്ങളുടെ ഹോമയാഗങ്ങള്, ഹനന യാഗങ്ങള്, ദശാംശങ്ങള്, നിങ്ങളുടെ കയ്യിലെ ഉദര്ച്ചാര്പ്പണങ്ങള്, നിങ്ങളുടെ നേര്ച്ചകള്, സ്വമേധാദാനങ്ങള്, നിങ്ങളുടെ ആടുമാടുകളുടെ കടിഞ്ഞൂലുകള് എന്നിവയെ നിങ്ങള് കൊണ്ടുചെല്ലേണം.

6. There you are to offer your sacrifices that are to be burned and your other sacrifices, your tithes and your offerings, the gifts that you promise to the LORD, your freewill offerings, and the first-born of your cattle and sheep.

7. അവിടെ നിങ്ങളുടെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവയുടെ സന്നിധിയില്വെച്ചു നിങ്ങള് ഭക്ഷിക്കയും നിങ്ങളുടെ സകലപ്രവൃത്തിയിലും നിന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവ നിന്നെ അനുഗ്രഹിച്ചതിനെക്കുറിച്ചു നിങ്ങളും നിങ്ങളുടെ കടുംബങ്ങളും സന്തോഷിക്കയുംവേണം.

7. There, in the presence of the LORD your God, who has blessed you, you and your families will eat and enjoy the good things that you have worked for.

8. നാം ഇന്നു ഇവിടെ ഔരോരുത്തന് താന്താന്നു ബോധിച്ചപ്രകാരം ഒക്കെയും ചെയ്യുന്നതുപോലെ നിങ്ങള് ചെയ്യരുതു.

8. 'When that time comes, you must not do as you have been doing. Until now you have all been worshiping as you please,

9. നിങ്ങളുടെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവ നിങ്ങള്ക്കു തരുന്ന സ്വസ്ഥതെക്കും അവകാശത്തിന്നും നിങ്ങള് ഇതുവരെ എത്തീട്ടില്ലല്ലോ.

9. because you have not yet entered the land that the LORD your God is giving you, where you can live in peace.

10. എന്നാല് നിങ്ങള് യോര്ദ്ദാന് കടന്നു നിങ്ങളുടെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവ നിങ്ങള്ക്കു അവകാശമായി തരുന്ന ദേശത്തു വസിക്കയും ചുറ്റുമുള്ള നിങ്ങളുടെ സകലശത്രുക്കളെയും അവന് നീക്കി നിങ്ങള്ക്കു സ്വസ്ഥത തരികയും നിങ്ങള് നിര്ഭയമായി വസിക്കയും ചെയ്യുമ്പോള്

10. When you cross the Jordan River, the LORD will let you occupy the land and live there. He will keep you safe from all your enemies, and you will live in peace.

11. നിങ്ങളുടെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവ തന്റെ നാമം സ്ഥാപിപ്പാന് തിരഞ്ഞെടുക്കുന്ന സ്ഥലത്തു നിങ്ങളുടെ ഹോമയാഗങ്ങള്, ഹനനയാഗങ്ങള്, ദശാംശങ്ങള്, നിങ്ങളുടെ കയ്യിലെ ഉദര്ച്ചാര്പ്പണങ്ങള്, നിങ്ങള് യഹോവേക്കു നേരുന്ന വിശേഷമായ നേര്ച്ചകള് എല്ലാം എന്നിങ്ങനെ ഞാന് നിങ്ങളോടു ആജ്ഞാപിക്കുന്നതൊക്കെയും നിങ്ങള് കൊണ്ടുവരേണം.

11. The LORD will choose a single place where he is to be worshiped, and there you must bring to him everything that I have commanded: your sacrifices that are to be burned and your other sacrifices, your tithes and your offerings, and those special gifts that you have promised to the LORD.

12. നിങ്ങളുടെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവയുടെ സന്നിധിയില് നിങ്ങളും നിങ്ങളുടെ പുത്രന്മാരും പുത്രിമാരും നിങ്ങളുടെ ദാസന്മാരും ദാസിമാരും നിങ്ങളുടെ പട്ടണങ്ങളില് ഉള്ള ലേവ്യനും സന്തോഷിക്കേണം; അവന്നു നിങ്ങളോടുകൂടെ ഔഹരിയും അവകാശവും ഇല്ലല്ലോ.

12. Be joyful there in his presence, together with your children, your servants, and the Levites who live in your towns; remember that the Levites will have no land of their own.

13. നിനക്കു ബോധിക്കുന്നേടത്തൊക്കെയും നിന്റെ ഹോമയാഗങ്ങള് കഴിക്കാതിരിപ്പാന് സൂക്ഷിച്ചുകൊള്ക.

13. You are not to offer your sacrifices wherever you choose;

14. യഹോവ നിന്റെ ഗോത്രങ്ങളില് ഒന്നില് തിരഞ്ഞെടുക്കുന്ന സ്ഥലത്തു നീ നിന്റെ ഹോമയാഗങ്ങള് കഴിക്കേണം; ഞാന് നിന്നോടു ആജ്ഞാപിക്കുന്നതൊക്കെയും നീ ചെയ്യേണം.

14. you must offer them only in the one place that the LORD will choose in the territory of one of your tribes. Only there are you to offer your sacrifices that are to be burned and do all the other things that I have commanded you.

15. എന്നാല് നിന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവ നിനക്കു തന്നിരിക്കുന്ന അനുഗ്രഹത്തിന്നു തക്കവണ്ണം നിന്റെ ഏതു പട്ടണത്തില്വെച്ചും നിന്റെ മനസ്സിലെ ആഗ്രഹപ്രകാരമൊക്കെയും അറുത്തു മാംസം തിന്നാം; അതു കലമാനിനെയും പുള്ളിമാനിനെയും പോലെ ശുദ്ധന്നും അശുദ്ധന്നും തിന്നാം; രക്തം മാത്രം നിങ്ങള് തിന്നരുതു;

15. 'But you are free to kill and eat your animals wherever you live. You may eat as many as the LORD gives you. All of you, whether ritually clean or unclean, may eat them, just as you would eat the meat of deer or antelope.

16. അതു വെള്ളംപോലെ നിറത്തു ഒഴിച്ചുകളയേണം.

16. But you must not eat their blood; you must pour it out on the ground like water.

17. എന്നാല് നിന്റെ ധാന്യം, വീഞ്ഞു, എണ്ണ എന്നിവയുടെ ദശാംശം, നിന്റെ ആടുമാടുകളുടെ കടിഞ്ഞൂലുകള്, നീ നേരുന്ന എല്ലാ നേര്ച്ചകള്, നിന്റെ സ്വമേധാദാനങ്ങള് നിന്റെ കയ്യിലെ ഉദര്ച്ചാര്പ്പണങ്ങള് എന്നിവയെ നിന്റെ പട്ടണങ്ങളില്വെച്ചു തിന്നുകൂടാ.

17. Nothing that you offer to the LORD is to be eaten in the places where you live: neither the tithes of your grain, your wine, or your olive oil, nor the first-born of your cattle and sheep, the gifts that you promise to the LORD, your freewill offerings, or any other offerings.

19. നീ ഭൂമിയില് ഇരിക്കുന്നേടത്തോളം ലേവ്യനെ ഉപേക്ഷിക്കാതിരിപ്പാന് സൂക്ഷിച്ചുകൊള്ക.

19. Be sure, also, not to neglect the Levites, as long as you live in your land.

20. നിന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവ നിനക്കു വാഗ്ദത്തം ചെയ്തതുപോലെ അവന് നിന്റെ അതിര് വിശാലമാക്കുമ്പോള് നീ മാംസം തിന്മാന് ആഗ്രഹിച്ചിട്ടുഎനിക്കു മാംസം തിന്നേണം എന്നു പറഞ്ഞാല് നിന്റെ ഇഷ്ടംപോലെ ഒക്കെയും നിനക്കു മാംസം തിന്നാം.

20. 'When the LORD your God enlarges your territory, as he has promised, you may eat meat whenever you want to.

21. നിന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവ തന്റെ നാമം സ്ഥാപിപ്പാന് തിരഞ്ഞെടുത്ത സ്ഥലം ഏറെ ദൂരത്താകുന്നു എങ്കില് യഹോവ നിനക്കു തന്നിട്ടുള്ള നിന്റെ ആടുമാടുകളില് ഏതിനെ എങ്കിലും ഞാന് നിന്നോടു കല്പിച്ചതുപോലെ അറുക്കുകയും നിന്റെ പട്ടണങ്ങളില്വെച്ചു നിന്റെ ഇഷ്ടംപോലെ ഒക്കെയും തിന്നുകയും ചെയ്യാം.

21. If the one place of worship is too far away, then, whenever you wish, you may kill any of the cattle or sheep that the LORD has given you, and you may eat the meat at home, as I have told you.

22. കലമാനിനെയും പുള്ളിമാനിനെയും തിന്നുന്നതുപോലെ നിനക്കു അവയെ തിന്നാം; ശുദ്ധന്നും അശുദ്ധന്നും ഒരുപോലെ തിന്നാം.

22. Anyone, ritually clean or unclean, may eat that meat, just as he would eat the meat of deer or antelope.

23. രക്തം മാത്രം തിന്നാതിരിപ്പാന് നിഷ്ഠയായിരിക്ക; രക്തം ജീവന് ആകുന്നുവല്ലോ; മാംസത്തോടുകൂടെ ജീവനെ തിന്നരുതു.

23. Only do not eat meat with blood still in it, for the life is in the blood, and you must not eat the life with the meat.

24. അതിനെ നീ തിന്നാതെ വെള്ളംപോലെ നിലത്തു ഒഴിച്ചുകളയേണം.

24. Do not use the blood for food; instead, pour it out on the ground like water.

25. യഹോവേക്കു ഹിതമായുള്ളതു ചെയ്തിട്ടു നിനക്കും മക്കള്ക്കും നന്നായിരിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു നീ അതിനെ തിന്നരുതു.

25. If you obey this command, the LORD will be pleased, and all will go well for you and your descendants.

26. നിന്റെ പക്കലുള്ള വിശുദ്ധവസ്തുക്കളും നിന്റെ നേര്ച്ചകളും മാത്രം നീ എടുത്തുകൊണ്ടു യഹോവ തിരഞ്ഞെടുക്കുന്ന സ്ഥലത്തേക്കു പോകേണം.

26. Take to the one place of worship your offerings and the gifts that you have promised the LORD.

27. അവിടെ നിന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവയുടെ യാഗപീഠത്തിന്മേല് നിന്റെ ഹോമയാഗങ്ങള് മാംസത്തോടും രക്തത്തോടും കൂടെ അര്പ്പിക്കേണം; നിന്റെ ഹനനയാഗങ്ങളുടെ രക്തം നിന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവയുടെ യാഗപീഠത്തിന്മേല് ഒഴിക്കേണം; അതിന്റെ മാംസം നിനക്കു തിന്നാം.

27. Offer there the sacrifices which are to be completely burned on the LORD's altar. Also offer those sacrifices in which you eat the meat and pour the blood out on the altar.

28. നിന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവയുടെ മുമ്പാകെ ഹിതവും ഉത്തമവുമാക്കുന്ന ഈ സകലവചനങ്ങളും കേട്ടു പ്രമാണിക്ക.

28. Obey faithfully everything that I have commanded you, and all will go well for you and your descendants forever, because you will be doing what is right and what pleases the LORD your God.

29. നീ കൈവശമാക്കുവാന് ചെല്ലുന്ന ദേശത്തുള്ള ജാതികളെ നിന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവ നിന്റെ മുമ്പില്നിന്നു ഛേദിച്ചുകളയുമ്പോഴും നീ അവരെ നീക്കിക്കളഞ്ഞു അവരുടെ ദേശത്തു പാര്ക്കുംമ്പോഴും

29. 'The LORD your God will destroy the nations as you invade their land, and you will occupy it and settle there.

30. അവര് നിന്റെ മുമ്പില്നിന്നു നശിച്ചശേഷം നീ അവരുടെ നടപടി അനുസരിച്ചു കണിയില് അകപ്പെടുകയും ഈ ജാതികള് തങ്ങളുടെ ദേവന്മാരെ സേവിച്ചവിധം ഞാനും ചെയ്യുമെന്നു പറഞ്ഞു അവരുടെ ദേവന്മാരെക്കുറിച്ചു അന്വേഷിക്കയും ചെയ്യാതിരിപ്പാന് സൂക്ഷിച്ചുകൊള്ളേണം.

30. After the LORD destroys those nations, make sure that you don't follow their religious practices, because that would be fatal. Don't try to find out how they worship their gods, so that you can worship in the same way.

31. നിന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവയെ അങ്ങനെ സേവിക്കേണ്ടതല്ല; യഹോവ വെറുക്കുന്ന സകലമ്ളേച്ഛതയും അവര് തങ്ങളുടെ ദേവപൂജയില് ചെയ്തു തങ്ങളുടെ പുത്രിപുത്രന്മാരെപ്പോലും അവര് തങ്ങളുടെ ദേവന്മാര്ക്കും അഗ്നിപ്രവേശം ചെയ്യിച്ചു വല്ലോ.

31. Do not worship the LORD your God in the way they worship their gods, for in the worship of their gods they do all the disgusting things that the LORD hates. They even sacrifice their children in the fires on their altars.
