1. സഹോദരന്റെ കാളയോ ആടോ തെറ്റി ഉഴലുന്നതു നീ കണ്ടാല് അതിനെ വിട്ടു ഒഴിഞ്ഞുകളയാതെ സഹോദരന്റെ അടുക്കല് എത്തിച്ചുകൊടുക്കേണം.

1. Thou shalt not see thy brothers oxe or sheepe go astray, and withdrawe thy selfe from them: but shalt bryng them agayne vnto thy brother.

2. സഹോദരന് നിനക്കു സമീപസ്ഥനല്ല, നീ അവനെ അറികയുമില്ല എന്നുവരികില് അതിനെ നിന്റെ വീട്ടില് കൊണ്ടുപോകേണം; സഹോദരന് അതിനെ അന്വേഷിച്ചു വരുംവരെ അതു നിന്റെ അടുക്കല് ഇരിക്കേണം; പിന്നെ അവന്നു മടക്കിക്കൊടുക്കേണം.

2. And if thy brother be not nye vnto thee, or if thou knowe hym not, then bryng it vnto thine owne house, and it shall remayne with thee vntyll thy brother aske after them, and then deliuer hym them agayne.

3. അങ്ങനെ തന്നേ അവന്റെ കഴുതയുടെയും വസ്ത്രത്തിന്റെയും സഹോദരന്റെ പക്കല്നിന്നു കാണാതെ പോയിട്ടു നീ കണ്ടെത്തിയ ഏതൊരു വസ്തുവിന്റെയും കാര്യത്തില് ചെയ്യേണം; നീ ഒഴിഞ്ഞുകളയേണ്ടതല്ല.

3. In lyke maner shalt thou do with his asse, and so shalt thou do with his rayment: and with all lost thynges of thy brother, which he hath lost and thou hast found, shalt thou do likewise, and thou mayest not hide it from them.

4. സഹോദരന്റെ കഴുതയോ കാളയോ വഴിയില് വീണുകിടക്കുന്നതു നീ കണ്ടാല് വിട്ടു ഒഴിഞ്ഞുകളയാതെ അതിനെ എഴുന്നേല്പിപ്പാന് അവനെ സഹായിക്കേണം.

4. Thou shalt not see thy brothers asse or oxe fall downe by the way, and withdrawe thy selfe from them: but shalt helpe hym to heaue them vp againe.

5. പുരുഷന്റെ വസ്ത്രം സ്ത്രീയും സ്ത്രീയുടൈ വസ്ത്രം പുരുഷനും ധരിക്കരുതു; അങ്ങനെ ചെയ്യുന്നവരൊക്കെയും നിന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവേക്കു വെറുപ്പു ആകുന്നു.

5. The woman shall not weare that whiche parteyneth vnto the man, neither shall a man put on womans rayment: For all that do so, are abhomination vnto the Lorde thy God.

6. മരത്തിന്മേലെങ്കിലും നിലത്തെങ്കിലും കുഞ്ഞുങ്ങളോ മുട്ടകളോ ഉള്ള ഒരു പക്ഷിക്കൂടു നീ വഴിയില്വെച്ചു കണ്ടാല് തള്ള കുഞ്ഞുങ്ങളിന്മേലോ മുട്ടകളിന്മേലോ ഇരിക്കുന്നു എങ്കില് നീ കുഞ്ഞുങ്ങളോടുകൂടെ തള്ളയെ പിടിക്കരുതു.

6. If thou chaunce vpon a birdes nest by the way, in whatsoeuer tree it be, or on the grounde, whether they be young or egges, and the damme sittyng vpon the young, or on the egges: thou shalt not take the damme with the young:

7. നിനക്കു നന്നായിരിപ്പാനും ദീര്ഘായുസ്സുണ്ടാകുവാനും തള്ളയെ വിട്ടുകളയേണം; കുഞ്ഞുങ്ങളെ എടുത്തുകൊള്ളാം.

7. But shalt in any wyse let the damme go, & take the young to thee, that thou mayest prosper, and prolong thy dayes.

8. ഒരു പുതിയ വീടു പണിതാല് നിന്റെ വീട്ടിന്മുകളില്നിന്നു വല്ലവനും വീണിട്ടു വീട്ടിന്മേല് രക്തപാതകം വരാതിരിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു നീ അതിന്നു കൈമതില് ഉണ്ടാക്കേണം.

8. When thou buyldest a newe house, thou shalt make a battlement on the roofe, that thou lade not blood vpon thyne house if any man fal from thence.

9. നിന്റെ മുന്തിരിത്തോട്ടത്തില് വേറൊരു വക വിത്തും ഇടരുതു; അങ്ങനെ ചെയ്താല് നീ ഇട്ട വിത്തിന്റെ വിളവും മുന്തിരിത്തോട്ടത്തിന്റെ അനുഭവവും വിശുദ്ധമന്ദിരംവകെക്കു ചേര്ന്നുപോകും.

9. Thou shalt not sowe thy vineyarde with diuers seedes: lest the fruite of the seede which thou hast sowen, and the fruite of thy vineyarde, be defyled.

10. കാളയെയും കഴുതയെയും ഒന്നിച്ചു പൂട്ടി ഉഴരുതു.

10. Thou shalt not plowe with an oxe and an asse together.

11. ആട്ടുരോമവും ചണയും കൂടിക്കലര്ന്ന വസ്ത്രം ധരിക്കരുതു.

11. Thou shalt not weare a garment made of wool and linnen together.

12. നീ പുതെക്കുന്ന മേലാടയുടെ നാലു കോണിലും പൊടിപ്പുണ്ടാക്കേണം.

12. Thou shalt not make thee gardes vppon the foure quarters of thy vesture wherewith thou couerest thy selfe.

13. ഒരു പുരുഷന് ഒരു സ്ത്രീയെ പരിഗ്രഹിച്ചു അവളുടെ അടുക്കല് ചെന്നശേഷം അവളെ വെറുത്തു

13. If a man take a wyfe, and when he hath lyen with her, hate her,

14. ഞാന് ഈ സ്ത്രീയെ പരിഗ്രഹിച്ചു അവളുടെ അടുക്കല് ചെന്നാറെ അവളില് കന്യകാലക്ഷണം കണ്ടില്ല എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു അവളുടെ മേല് നാണക്കേടു ചുമത്തി അപവാദം പറഞ്ഞുണ്ടാക്കിയാല്

14. And lay shamefull thynges vnto her charge, and bryng vp an euyll name vpon her, and say, I toke this wyfe, and when I came to her I founde her not a mayde:

15. യുവതിയുടെ അമ്മയപ്പന്മാര് അവളുടെ കന്യകാലക്ഷണങ്ങളെടുത്തു പട്ടണത്തിലെ മൂപ്പന്മാരുടെ അടുക്കല് പട്ടണവാതില്ക്കല് കൊണ്ടുവരേണം.

15. Then shall the father of the damsell & the mother, bryng foorth the tokens of the damsels virginitie vnto the elders of the citie in the gate,

16. യുവതിയുടെ അപ്പന് മൂപ്പന്മാരോടുഞാന് എന്റെ മകളെ ഈ പുരുഷന്നു ഭാര്യയായി കൊടുത്തു; എന്നാല് അവന്നു അവളോടു അനിഷ്ടമായിരിക്കുന്നു.

16. And the damsels father shall say vnto the elders: I gaue my daughter vnto this man to wyfe, and he hateth her,

17. ഞാന് നിന്റെ മകളില് കന്യകാലക്ഷണം കണ്ടില്ല എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു അവളുടെമേല് നാണക്കേടു ചുമത്തുന്നു; എന്നാല് എന്റെ മകളുടെ കന്യകാലക്ഷണങ്ങള് ഇതാ എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു പട്ടണത്തിലെ മൂപ്പന്മാരുടെ മുമ്പില് ആ വസ്ത്രം വിടര്ക്കേണം.

17. And lo, he layeth shamefull thynges vnto her charge, saying, I founde not thy daughter a mayde: and yet these are the tokens of my daughters virginitie. And they shall spreade the vesture before the elders of the citie.

18. അപ്പോള് പട്ടണത്തിലെ മൂപ്പന്മാര് ആ പുരുഷനെ പിടിച്ചു ശിക്ഷിക്കേണം.

18. And the elders of that citie shall take that man, and chastise hym,

19. അവന് യിസ്രായേലില് ഒരു കന്യകയുടെമേല് അപവാദം പറഞ്ഞുണ്ടാക്കിയതിനാല് അവര് അവനെക്കൊണ്ടു നൂറു വെള്ളിക്കാശു പിഴ ചെയ്യിച്ചു യുവതിയുടെ അപ്പന്നു കൊടുക്കേണം; അവള് അവന്നു തന്നേ ഭാര്യയായിരിക്കേണം; അവന്നു തന്റെ ആയുഷ്കാലത്തൊരിക്കലും അവളെ ഉപേക്ഷിച്ചുകൂടാ.

19. And mearse hym in an hundred sides of syluer, and geue them vnto the father of the damsell, because he hath brought vp an euyl name vpon a mayde of Israel: And she shalbe his wyfe, and he may not put her away all his dayes.

20. എന്നാല് യുവതിയില് കന്യകാലക്ഷണം കണ്ടില്ല എന്നുള്ള വാക്കു സത്യം ആയിരുന്നാല്

20. But and yf the thyng be of a suretie that the damsell be not founde a virgin:

21. അവര് യുവതിയെ അവളുടെ അപ്പന്റെ വീട്ടുവാതില്ക്കല് കൊണ്ടുപോയി അവള് യിസ്രായേലില് വഷളത്വം പ്രവര്ത്തിച്ചു അപ്പന്റെ വീട്ടില്വെച്ചു വേശ്യാദോഷം ചെയ്കകൊണ്ടു അവളുടെ പട്ടണക്കാര് അവളെ കല്ലെറിഞ്ഞു കൊല്ലേണം; ഇങ്ങനെ നിങ്ങളുടെ ഇടയില്നിന്നു ദോഷം നീക്കിക്കളയേണം.

21. They shall bryng the damsell to the doore of her fathers house, and the men of that citie shall stone her with stones to death, because she hath wrought folly in Israel to play the whore in her fathers house: And so thou shalt put euyl from among you.

22. ഒരു പുരുഷന്റെ ഭാര്യയായ സ്ത്രീയോടുകൂടെ ഒരുത്തന് ശയിക്കുന്നതു കണ്ടാല് സ്ത്രീയോടുകൂടെ ശയിച്ച പുരുഷനും സ്ത്രീയും ഇരുവരും മരണശിക്ഷ അനുഭവിക്കേണം; ഇങ്ങനെ യിസ്രായേലില്നിന്നു ദോഷം നീക്കിക്കളയേണം.

22. If a man be founde lying with a woman that hath a wedded husband, they shall both dye, both the man that laye with the wyfe, and also the wyfe: and so thou shalt put away euill from Israel.

23. വിവാഹനിശ്ചയം കഴിഞ്ഞിരിക്കുന്ന കന്യകയായ ഒരു യുവതിയെ ഒരുത്തന് പട്ടണത്തില്വെച്ചു കണ്ടു അവളോടുകൂടെ ശയിച്ചാല്

23. If a mayde be betrouthed vnto an husbande, and then a man finde her in the towne, and lye with her:

24. യുവതി പട്ടണത്തില് ആയിരുന്നിട്ടും നിലവിളിക്കായ്കകൊണ്ടും പുരുഷന് കൂട്ടുകാരന്റെ ഭാര്യെക്കു പോരായ്ക വരുത്തിയതുകൊണ്ടും നിങ്ങള് അവരെ ഇരുവരെയും പട്ടണവാതില്ക്കല് കൊണ്ടുവന്നു കല്ലെറിഞ്ഞു കൊല്ലേണം; ഇങ്ങനെ നിങ്ങളുടെ ഇടയില്നിന്നു ദോഷം നീക്കിക്കളയേണം.

24. Ye shall bring them both out vnto the gates of the same citie, and shall stone them with stones to death: The damsell, because she cryed not beyng in the citie: And the man, because he hath humbled his neighbours wife: and thou shalt put away euyll from thee.

25. എന്നാല് വിവാഹനിശ്ചയം കഴിഞ്ഞിരിക്കുന്ന ഒരു യുവതിയെ ഒരുത്തന് വയലില് വെച്ചു കണ്ടു ബലാല്ക്കാരംചെയ്തു അവളോടു കൂടെ ശയിച്ചാല് പുരുഷന് മാത്രം മരണശിക്ഷ അനുഭവിക്കേണം.

25. But if a man finde a betrouthed damsell in the fielde, and force her, and lye with her: then the man that lay with her, shall dye alone.

26. യുവതിയോടോ ഒന്നും ചെയ്യരുതു; അവള്ക്കു മരണയോഗ്യമായ പാപമില്ല. ഒരുത്തന് കൂട്ടുകാരന്റെ നേരെ കയര്ത്തു അവനെ കൊല്ലുന്നതുപോലെയത്രേ ഈ കാര്യം.

26. But vnto the damsell thou shalt do no harme, because there is in the damsell no cause of death: For as when a man ryseth against his neyghbour and slayeth hym: euen so is this matter.

27. വയലില്വെച്ചല്ലോ അവന് അവളെ കണ്ടെത്തിയതു; യുവതി നിലവിളിച്ചാലും അവളെ രക്ഷിപ്പാന് ആള് ഇല്ലായിരുന്നു.

27. For he found her in the fieldes: and the betrouthed damsell cryed, & there was no man to succour her.

28. വിവാഹനിശ്ചയം കഴിയാത്ത കന്യകയായ ഒരു യുവതിയെ ഒരുത്തന് കണ്ടു അവളെ പിടിച്ചു അവളോടുകൂടെ ശയിക്കയും അവരെ കണ്ടുപിടിക്കയും ചെയ്താല്

28. If a man finde a mayde that is not betrouthed, and take her, and lye with her, and they be founde:

29. അവളോടുകൂടെ ശയിച്ച പുരുഷന് യുവതിയുടെ അപ്പന്നു അമ്പതു വെള്ളിക്കാശു കൊടുക്കേണം; അവള് അവന്റെ ഭാര്യയാകയും വേണം. അവന് അവള്ക്കു പോരായ്കവരുത്തിയല്ലോ; അവന്നു തന്റെ ആയുഷ്കാലത്തൊരിക്കലും അവളെ ഉപേക്ഷിച്ചുകൂടാ.

29. Then the man that lay with her, shall geue vnto the damsels father fiftie sicles of siluer, and she shall be his wyfe, because he hath humbled her: and he may not put her away all his dayes.

30. അപ്പന്റെ ഭാര്യയെ ആരും പരിഗ്രഹിക്കരുതു; അപ്പന്റെ വസ്ത്രം നീക്കുകയും അരുതു.

30. No man shall take his fathers wife, nor vnheale his fathers couering.
