1. നിങ്ങള് ജീവിച്ചിരിക്കയും വര്ദ്ധിക്കയും യഹോവ നിങ്ങളുടെ പിതാക്കന്മാരോടു സത്യം ചെയ്ത ദേശം ചെന്നു കൈവശമാക്കുകയും ചെയ്യേണ്ടതിന്നു ഞാന് ഇന്നു നിങ്ങളോടു കല്പിക്കുന്ന സകലകല്പനകളും നിങ്ങള് പ്രമാണിച്ചുനടക്കേണം.

1. You must obey all the commands that I give you today, because then you will live and grow to become a great nation. You will get the land that the Lord promised to your ancestors.

2. നിന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവ നിന്നെ താഴ്ത്തുവാനും തന്റെ കല്പനകള് പ്രമാണിക്കുമോ ഇല്ലയോ എന്നു നിന്നെ പരീക്ഷിച്ചു നിന്റെ ഹൃദയത്തില് ഇരിക്കുന്നതു അറിവാനുമായി നിന്നെ ഈ നാല്പതു സംവത്സരം മരുഭൂമിയില് നടത്തിയ വിധമൊക്കെയും നീ ഔര്ക്കേണം.

2. And you must remember the entire trip that the Lord your God has led you through these 40 years in the desert. He was testing you. He wanted to make you humble. He wanted to know what is in your heart. He wanted to know if you would obey his commands.

4. ഈ നാല്പതു സംവത്സരം നീ ധരിച്ചവസ്ത്രം ജീര്ണ്ണിച്ചുപോയില്ല; നിന്റെ കാല് വീങ്ങിയതുമില്ല.

4. These past 40 years, your clothes did not wear out, and your feet did not swell.

5. ഒരു മനുഷ്യന് തന്റെ മകനെ ശിക്ഷിച്ചുവളര്ത്തുന്നതു പോലെ നിന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവ നിന്നെ ശിക്ഷിച്ചുവളര്ത്തുന്നു എന്നു നീ മനസ്സില് ധ്യാനിച്ചുകൊള്ളേണം.

5. You must remember that the Lord your God teaches and corrects you as a father teaches and corrects his son.

6. ആകയാല് നിന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവയുടെ വഴികളില് നടന്നു അവനെ ഭയപ്പെട്ടു അവന്റെ കല്പനകള് പ്രമാണിക്കേണം.

6. 'You must obey the commands of the Lord your God. Follow him and respect him.

7. നിന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവ നല്ലോരു ദേശത്തേക്കല്ലോ നിന്നെ കൊണ്ടുപോകുന്നതു; അതു താഴ്വരയില്നിന്നും മലയില്നിന്നും പുറപ്പെടുന്ന നീരൊഴുക്കുകളും ഉറവുകളും തടാകങ്ങളും ഉള്ള ദേശം;

7. The Lord your God is bringing you into a good land�a land with rivers and pools of water. Water flows out of the ground in the valleys and hills.

8. കോതമ്പും യവവും മുന്തിരിവള്ളിയും അത്തിവൃക്ഷവും മാതളനാരകവും ഉള്ള ദേശം;

8. It is a land with wheat and barley, grapevines, fig trees, and pomegranates. It is a land with olive oil and honey.

9. ഒലിവുവൃക്ഷവും തേനും ഉള്ള ദേശം; സുഭിക്ഷമായി ഉപജീവനം കഴിയാകുന്നതും ഒന്നിന്നും കുറവില്ലാത്തതുമായ ദേശം; കല്ലു ഇരിമ്പായിരിക്കുന്നതും മലകളില് നിന്നു താമ്രം വെട്ടി എടുക്കുന്നതുമായ ദേശം.

9. There you will have plenty of food and everything you need. It is a land where the rocks are iron. You can dig copper out of the hills.

10. നീ ഭക്ഷിച്ചു തൃപ്തിപ്രാപിക്കുമ്പോള് നിന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവ നിനക്കു തന്നിരിക്കുന്ന നല്ല ദേശത്തെക്കുറിച്ചു നീ അവന്നു സ്തോത്രം ചെയ്യേണം.

10. You will have all you want to eat. Then you will praise the Lord your God for the good land he has given you.

11. നിന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവയെ നീ മറക്കാതിരിപ്പാനും, ഞാന് ഇന്നു നിന്നോടു കല്പിക്കുന്ന അവന്റെ കല്പനകളും വിധികളും ചട്ടങ്ങളും അലക്ഷ്യമാക്കാതിരിപ്പാനും,

11. Be careful. Don't forget the Lord your God! Be careful to obey the commands, laws, and rules that I give you today.

12. നീ ഭക്ഷിച്ചു തൃപ്തിപ്രാപിച്ചു നല്ല വീടുകള് പണിതു അവയില് പാര്ക്കുംമ്പോഴും

12. Then you will have plenty to eat, and you will build good houses and live in them.

13. നിന്റെ ആടുമാടുകള് പെരുകി നിനക്കു വെള്ളിയും പൊന്നും ഏറി നിനക്കുള്ളതു ഒക്കെയും വദ്ധിക്കുമ്പോഴും നിന്റെ ഹൃദയം നിഗളിക്കാതാരിപ്പാനും,

13. Your cattle, sheep, and goats will grow large. You will get plenty of gold and silver. You will have plenty of everything.

14. നിന്നെ അടിമവീടായ മിസ്രയീമില്നിന്നു പുറപ്പെടുവിക്കയും

14. When that happens, you must be careful not to become proud. You must not forget the Lord your God. You were slaves in Egypt, but he made you free and brought you out of that land.

15. അഗ്നിസര്പ്പവും തേളും വെള്ളമില്ലാതെ വരള്ച്ചയും ഉള്ള വലിയതും ഭയങ്കരവുമായ മരുഭൂമിയില് കൂടി നിന്നെ കൊണ്ടുവരികയും തീക്കല്പാറയില്നിന്നു നിനക്കു വെള്ളം പുറപ്പെടുവിക്കയും

15. He led you through that great and terrible desert where there were poisonous snakes and scorpions. The ground was dry, and there was no water anywhere. But he gave you water out of a solid rock.

16. നിന്നെ താഴ്ത്തി പരീക്ഷിച്ചു പിന് കാലത്തു നിനക്കു നന്മ ചെയ്യേണ്ടതിന്നു മരുഭൂമിയില് നിന്നെ നിന്റെ പിതാക്കന്മാര് അറിയാത്ത മന്നകൊണ്ടു പോഷിപ്പിക്കയും ചെയ്ത നിന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവയെ നീ മറന്നു

16. In the desert he fed you manna �something your ancestors had never seen. He tested you to make you humble so that everything would go well for you in the end.

17. എന്റെ ശക്തിയും എന്റെ കയ്യുടെ ബലവും ഈ സമ്പത്തുണ്ടാക്കി എന്നു നിന്റെ ഹൃദയത്തില് പറയാതിരിപ്പാനും സൂക്ഷിച്ചുകൊള്ളേണം.

17. Don't ever say to yourself, 'I got all this wealth by my own power and ability.'

18. നിന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവയെ നീ ഔര്ക്കേണം; നിന്റെ പിതാക്കന്മാരോടു സത്യം ചെയ്ത തന്റെ നിയമം ഇന്നുള്ളതുപോലെ ഉറപ്പിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു അവനല്ലോ നിനക്കു സമ്പത്തുണ്ടാക്കുവാന് ശക്തിതരുന്നതു.

18. Remember the Lord your God is the one who gives you power to do these things. He does this because he wants to keep the agreement that he made with your ancestors�as he is doing today!

19. നിന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവയെ നീ മറക്കയും അന്യദൈവങ്ങളെ പിന് തുടര്ന്നു അവയെ സേവിച്ചു നമസ്കരിക്കയും ചെയ്താല് നിങ്ങള് നശിച്ചുപോകും എന്നു ഞാന് ഇന്നു നിങ്ങളോടു സാക്ഷീകരിക്കുന്നു.

19. Don't ever forget the Lord your God. Don't ever follow other gods or worship and serve them. If you do that, I warn you today: You will surely be destroyed!

20. നിങ്ങളുടെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവയുടെ വാക്കു നിങ്ങള് കേള്ക്കാതിരുന്നതുകൊണ്ടു യഹോവ നിങ്ങളുടെ മുമ്പില് നിന്നു നശിപ്പിക്കുന്ന ജാതികളെപ്പോലെ തന്നേ നിങ്ങളും നശിച്ചുപോകും.

20. The Lord is destroying other nations for you. But if you stop listening to the Lord your God, you will be destroyed just like them!
