1. എന്നാല് ഭാവികാലത്തു ചിലര് വ്യാജാത്മാക്കളെയും ഭൂതങ്ങളുടെ ഉപദേശങ്ങളെയും ആശ്രയിച്ചു ഭോഷകു പറയുന്നവരുടെ കപടത്താല് വിശ്വാസം ത്യജിക്കും എന്നു ആത്മാവു തെളിവായി പറയുന്നു.

1. Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of demons;

2. അവര് സ്വന്തമനസ്സാക്ഷിയില് ചൂടുവെച്ചവരായി

2. Speaking lies in hypocrisy; having their conscience seared with a hot iron;

3. വിവാഹം വിലക്കുകയും സത്യത്തെ ഗ്രഹിച്ചിരിക്കുന്ന വിശ്വാസികള് സ്തോത്രത്തോടെ അനുഭവിപ്പാന് ദൈവം സൃഷ്ടിച്ച ഭോജ്യങ്ങളെ വര്ജ്ജിക്കേണം എന്നു കല്പിക്കയും ചെയ്യും.
ഉല്പത്തി 9:3

3. Forbidding to marry, [and commanding] to abstain from meats, which God hath created to be received with thanksgiving by them who believe and know the truth.

4. എന്നാല് ദൈവത്തിന്റെ സൃഷ്ടി എല്ലാം നല്ലതു; സ്തോത്രത്തോടെ അനുഭവിക്കുന്നു എങ്കില് ഒന്നും വര്ജ്ജിക്കേണ്ടതല്ല;
ഉല്പത്തി 1:31

4. For every creature of God [is] good, and nothing to be refused, if it is received with thanksgiving:

5. ദൈവവചനത്താലും പ്രാര്ത്ഥനയാലും വിശുദ്ധീകരിക്കപ്പെടുന്നുവല്ലോ.

5. For it is sanctified by the word of God and prayer.

6. ഇതു സഹോദരന്മാരേ ഗ്രഹിപ്പിച്ചാല് നീ അനുസരിച്ച വിശ്വാസത്തിന്റെയും സദുപദേശത്തിന്റെയും വചനത്താല് പോഷണം ലഭിച്ചു ക്രിസ്തുയേശുവിന്നു നല്ല ശുശ്രൂഷകന് ആകും.

6. If thou shalt put the brethren in remembrance of these things, thou shalt be a good minister of Jesus Christ, nourished by the words of faith and of good doctrine, to which thou hast attained.

7. ഭക്തി വിരുദ്ധമായ കിഴവിക്കഥകളെ ഒഴിച്ചു ദൈവഭക്തിക്കു തക്കവണ്ണം അഭ്യാസം ചെയ്ക.

7. But refuse profane and old wives ' fables, and exercise thyself [rather] to godliness.

8. ശരീരാഭ്യാസം അല്പപ്രയോജനമുള്ളതത്രേ; ദൈവഭക്തിയോ ഇപ്പോഴത്തെ ജീവന്റെയും വരുവാനിരിക്കുന്നതിന്റെയും വാഗ്ദത്തമുള്ളതാകയാല് സകലത്തിന്നും പ്രയോജനകരമാകുന്നു.

8. For bodily exercise profiteth little: but godliness is profitable to all things, having promise of the life that now is, and of that which is to come.

9. ഇതു വിശ്വാസ്യവും എല്ലാവരും അംഗീകരിപ്പാന് യോഗ്യവുമായ വചനം.

9. This [is] a faithful saying and worthy of all acceptation.

10. അതിന്നായിട്ടു തന്നേ നാം സകലമനുഷ്യരുടെയും പ്രത്യേകം വിശ്വസികളുടെയും രക്ഷിതാവായ ജീവനുള്ള ദൈവത്തില് ആശവെച്ചു അദ്ധ്വാനിച്ചും പോരാടിയും വരുന്നു.

10. For therefore we both labour and suffer reproach, because we trust in the living God, who is the Saviour of all men, especially of those that believe.

11. ഇതു നീ ആജ്ഞാപിക്കയും ഉപദേശിക്കയും ചെയ്ക.

11. These things command and teach.

12. ആരും നിന്റെ യൌവനം തുച്ഛീകരിക്കരുതു; വാക്കിലും നടപ്പിലും സ്നേഹത്തിലും വിശ്വാസത്തിലും നിര്മ്മലതയിലും വിശ്വാസികള്ക്കു മാതൃകയായിരിക്ക.

12. Let no man despise thy youth; but be thou an example of the believers, in word, in conduct, in charity, in spirit, in faith, in purity.

13. ഞാന് വരുവോളം വായന, പ്രബോധനം, ഉപദേശം എന്നിവയില് ശ്രദ്ധിച്ചരിക്ക.

13. Till I come, give attendance to reading, to exhortation, to doctrine.

14. മൂപ്പന്മാരുടെ കൈവെപ്പോടുകൂടെ പ്രവചനത്താല് നിനക്കു ലഭിച്ചതായി നിന്നിലുള്ള കൃപാവരം ഉപേക്ഷയായി വിചാരിക്കാതെ

14. Neglect not the gift that is in thee, which was given thee by prophecy, with the laying on of the hands of the presbytery.

15. നിന്റെ അഭിവൃദ്ധി എല്ലാവര്ക്കും പ്രസിദ്ധമായിത്തീരേണ്ടതിന്നു ഇതു കരുതുക, ഇതില് തന്നെ ഇരുന്നുകൊള്ക.

15. Meditate upon these things; give thyself wholly to them; that thy profiting may appear to all.

16. നിന്നെത്തന്നേയും ഉപദേശത്തെയും സൂക്ഷിച്ചുകൊള്ക; ഇതില് ഉറെച്ചുനില്ക്ക; അങ്ങനെ ചെയ്താല് നീ നിന്നെയും നിന്റെ പ്രസംഗം കേള്ക്കുന്നവരെയും രക്ഷിക്കും.

16. Take heed to thyself, and to thy doctrine; continue in them: for in doing this thou shalt both save thyself, and them that hear thee.
