1. നീയോ പത്ഥ്യോപദേശത്തിന്നു ചേരുന്നതു പ്രസ്താവിക്ക.

1. You, however, must tell everyone how to live in a way that agrees with the true teaching.

2. വൃദ്ധന്മാര് നിര്മ്മദവും ഗൌരവവും സുബോധവും ഉള്ളവരും വിശ്വാസത്തിലും സ്നേഹത്തിലും സഹിഷ്ണുതയിലും ആരോഗ്യമുള്ളവരും ആയിരിക്കേണം എന്നും

2. Teach the older men to have self-control, to be serious, and to be wise. They must be strong in faith, in love, and in patience.

3. വൃദ്ധന്മാരും അങ്ങനെ തന്നേ നടപ്പില് പവിത്രയോഗ്യമാരും ഏഷണി പറയാത്തവരും വീഞ്ഞിന്നു അടിമപ്പെടാത്തവരുമായിരിക്കേണം എന്നും

3. Also, teach the older women to live the way those who serve the Lord should live. They should not go around saying bad things about others or be in the habit of drinking too much. They should teach what is good.

4. ദൈവവചനം ദുഷിക്കപ്പെടാതിരിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു യൌവനക്കാരത്തികളെ ഭര്ത്തൃപ്രിയമാരും

4. By doing this they will teach the younger women to love their husbands and children.

5. പുത്രപ്രിയമാരും സുബോധവും പാതിവ്രത്യമുള്ളവരും വീട്ടുകാര്യം നോക്കുന്നവരും ദയയുള്ളവരും ഭര്ത്താക്കാന്മാര്ക്കും കീഴ്പെടുന്നവരും ആയിരിപ്പിാന് ശീലിപ്പിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു നന്മ ഉപദേശിക്കുന്നവരായിരിക്കേണം എന്നും പ്രബോധിപ്പിക്ക.

5. They will teach them to be wise and pure, to take care of their homes, to be kind, and to be willing to serve their husbands. Then no one will be able to criticize the teaching God gave us.

6. അവ്വണ്ണം യൌവനക്കാരെയും സുബോധമുള്ളവരായിരിപ്പാന് പ്രബോധിപ്പിക്ക.

6. In the same way, tell the young men to be wise.

7. വിരോധി നമ്മെക്കൊണ്ടു ഒരു തിന്മയും പറവാന് വകയില്ലാതെ ലജ്ജിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു സകലത്തിലും നിന്നെത്തന്നേ സല്പ്രവൃത്തികള്ക്കു മാതൃകയാക്കി കാണിക്ക.

7. You should be an example for them in every way by the good things you do. When you teach, be honest and serious.

8. ഉപദേശത്തില് നിര്മ്മലതയും ഗൌരവവും ആക്ഷേപിച്ചു കൂടാത്ത പതഥ്യവചനവും ഉള്ളവന് ആയിരിക്ക.

8. And your teaching should be clearly right so that you cannot be criticized. Then anyone who is against you will be ashamed. There will not be anything bad they can say about us.

9. ദാസന്മാര് നമ്മുടെ രക്ഷിതാവായ ദൈവത്തിന്റെ ഉപദേശത്തെ സകലത്തിലും അലങ്കരിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു യജമാനന്മാര്ക്കും കീഴടങ്ങി സകലവിധത്തിലും പ്രസാദം വരുത്തുന്നവരും

9. And tell this to those who are slaves: They should be willing to serve their masters at all times; they should try to please them, not argue with them;

10. എതിര്പറകയോ വഞ്ചിച്ചെടുക്കയോ ചെയ്യാതെ സകലത്തിലും നല്ല വിശ്വസ്തത കാണിക്കുന്നവരുംമായി ഇരിപ്പാന് (കല്പിക്ക).

10. they should not steal from them; and they should show their masters that they can be trusted. Then, in everything they do, they will show that the teaching of God our Savior is good.

11. സകലമനുഷ്യര്ക്കും രക്ഷാകരമായ ദൈവകൃപ ഉദിച്ചുവല്ലോ;

11. That is the way we should live, because God's grace has come. That grace can save everyone.

12. നാം ഭാഗ്യകരമായ പ്രത്യാശെക്കായിട്ടും മഹാദൈവവും നമ്മുടെ രക്ഷിതാവുമായ യേശുക്രിസ്തുവിന്റെ തേജസ്സിന്റെ പ്രത്യക്ഷതെക്കായിട്ടും

12. It teaches us not to live against God and not to do the bad things the world wants to do. It teaches us to live on earth now in a wise and right way�a way that shows true devotion to God.

13. കാത്തുകൊണ്ടു ഭക്തിയോടും പ്രപഞ്ചമോഹങ്ങളും വര്ജ്ജിച്ചിട്ടു ഈ ലോകത്തില് സുബോധത്തോടും നീതിയോടും ദൈവഭക്തിയോടുംകൂടെ ജീവിച്ചുപോരേണ്ടതിന്നു അതു നമ്മെ ശിക്ഷിച്ചുവളര്ത്തുന്നു.

13. We should live like that while we are waiting for the coming of our great God and Savior Jesus Christ. He is our great hope, and he will come with glory.

14. അവന് നമ്മെ സകല അധര്മ്മത്തില്നിന്നും വീണ്ടെടുത്തു സല്പ്രവൃത്തികളില് ശുഷ്കാന്തിയുള്ളോരു സ്വന്തജനമായി തനിക്കു ശുദ്ധീകരിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു തന്നെത്താന് നമുക്കുവേണ്ടി കൊടുത്തു.

14. He gave himself for us. He died to free us from all evil. He died to make us pure�people who belong only to him and who always want to do good.

15. ഇതു പൂര്ണ്ണഗൌരവത്തോടെ പ്രസംഗിക്കയും പ്രബോധിപ്പിക്കയും ശാസിക്കയും ചെയ്ക. ആരും നിന്നെ തുച്ഛീകരിക്കരുതു.

15. These are the things you should tell people. Encourage them, and when they are wrong, correct them. You have full authority to do this, so don't let anyone think they can ignore you.
