1. യോശുവ വയസ്സുചെന്നു വൃദ്ധനായപ്പോള് യഹോവ അവനോടു അരുളിച്ചെയ്തതുനീ വയസ്സുചെന്നു വൃദ്ധനായിരിക്കുന്നു; ഇനി ഏറ്റവും വളരെ ദേശം കൈവശമാക്കുവാനുണ്ടു.

1. And Joshua [was] old and very advanced in years; and the Lord said to Joshua, You are advanced in years, and there is much land left to inherit.

2. ഇനിയും ശേഷിച്ചിരിക്കുന്ന ദേശം ഏതെന്നാല്മിസ്രയീമിന്റെ കിഴക്കുള്ള സീഹോര്മുതല് വടക്കോട്ടു കനാന്യര്ക്കുംള്ളതെന്നു എണ്ണിവരുന്ന എക്രോന്റെ അതിര്വരെയുള്ള ഫെലിസ്ത്യദേശങ്ങള് ഒക്കെയും ഗെശൂര്യ്യരും;

2. And this [is] the land that is left: the borders of the Philistines, the Geshurites, and the Canaanites,

3. ഗസ്സാത്യന് , അസ്തോദ്യന് , അസ്കലോന്യന് , ഗിത്ത്യന് , എക്രോന്യന് എന്നീ അഞ്ചു ഫെലിസ്ത്യ പ്രഭുക്കന്മാരും;

3. from the wilderness before Egypt, as far as the borders of Ekron on the left of the Canaanites; [the land] is reckoned to the five principalities of the Philistines, to the inhabitants of Gaza, and of Azotus, and of Ashkelon, and of Gath, and of Ekron, and to the Hivite;

4. തെക്കുള്ള അവ്യരും അഫേക്വരെയും അമോര്യ്യരുടെ അതിര്വരെയുമുള്ള കനാന്യരുടെ ദേശം ഒക്കെയും

4. from Taman even to all the land of Canaan before Gaza, and the Sidonians as far as Aphek, as far as the borders of the Amorites.

5. സീദോന്യര്ക്കുംള്ള മെയാരയും ഗിബെല്യരുടെ ദേശവും കിഴക്കു ഹെര്മ്മോന് പര്വ്വതത്തിന്റെ അടിവരാത്തിലെ ബാല്-ഗാദ് മുതല് ഹമാത്തിലേക്കു തിരിയുന്ന സ്ഥലംവരെയുള്ള ലെബാനോന് ഒക്കെയും;

5. And all the land of Gebalites of the Philistines, and all Lebanon eastward from Gilgal, under Mount Hermon as far as the entering in of Hamath;

6. ലെബാനോന് മുതല് മിസ്രെഫോത്ത് മയീംവരെയുള്ള പര്വ്വതവാസികള് ഒക്കെയും എല്ലാസീദോന്യരും തന്നേ; ഇവരെ ഞാന് യിസ്രായേല്മക്കളുടെ മുമ്പില്നിന്നു നീക്കിക്കളയും; ഞാന് നിന്നോടു കല്പിച്ചതുപോലെ നീ യിസ്രായേലിന്നു അതു അവകാശമായി വിഭാഗിച്ചാല് മതി.

6. everyone that inhabits the hill country from Lebanon as far as the Brook Misrephoth. All the Sidonians, I will destroy them from before Israel; but give them by inheritance to Israel, as I commanded you.

7. ആകയാല് ഈ ദേശം ഒമ്പതു ഗോത്രങ്ങള്ക്കും മനശ്ശെയുടെ പാതിഗോത്രത്തിന്നും അവകാശമായി വിഭാഗിക്ക.

7. And now divide this land by lot to the nine tribes, and to the half-tribe of Manasseh.

8. അവനോടുകൂടെ രൂബേന്യരും ഗാദ്യരും മോശെ അവര്ക്കും യോര്ദ്ദാന്നക്കരെ കിഴക്കു കൊടുത്തിട്ടുള്ള അവകാശം യഹോവയുടെ ദാസനായ മോശെ കൊടുത്തതുപോലെ തന്നേ പ്രാപിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നുവല്ലോ.

8. From the Jordan to the Great Sea westward you shall give it [them.] The Great Sea shall be the boundary. [But] to the two tribes and to the half-tribe of Manasseh, to Reuben and to Gad, Moses gave [an inheritance] beyond the Jordan: Moses the servant of the Lord gave [it] to them eastward,

9. അര്ന്നോന് താഴ്വരയുടെ അറ്റത്തുള്ള അരോവേരും താഴ്വരയുടെ നടുവിലുള്ള പട്ടണംമുതല് ദീബോന് വരെയുള്ള മേദെബാസമഭൂമി മുഴുവനും;

9. from Aroer, which is on the bank of the Brook of Arnon, and the city in the midst of the valley, and all the plain of Medeba as far as Dibon.

10. അമ്മോന്യരുടെ അതിര്വരെ ഹെശ്ബോനില് വാണിരുന്ന അമോര്യ്യ രാജാവായ സീഹോന്റെ എല്ലാപട്ടണങ്ങളും;

10. All the cities of Sihon king of the Amorites, who reigned from Heshbon to the coasts of the children of Ammon;

11. ഗിലെയാദും ഗെശൂര്യ്യരുടെയും മാഖാത്യരുടെയും ദേശവും ഹെര്മ്മോന് പര്വ്വതം ഒക്കെയും സല്ക്കാവരെയുള്ള ബാശാന് മുഴുവനും;

11. and the region of Gilead, and the borders of the Geshirites and the Maachathites, and all Mount Hermon, and all the land of Bashan to Salcah.

12. അസ്താരോത്തിലും എദ്രെയിലും വാണവനും മല്ലന്മാരില് ശേഷിച്ചവനുമായ ബാശാനിലെ ഔഗിന്റെ രാജ്യം ഒക്കെയും തന്നേ; ഇവരെ മോശെ തോല്പിച്ചു നീക്കിക്കളഞ്ഞിരുന്നു.

12. All the kingdom of Og in the region of Bashan, who reigned in Ashtaroth and in Edrei- he was left of the giants; and Moses struck him, and destroyed him.

13. എന്നാല് യിസ്രായേല്മക്കള് ഗെശൂര്യ്യരെയും മാഖാത്യരെയും നീക്കിക്കളഞ്ഞില്ല; അവര് ഇന്നുവരെയും യിസ്രായേല്യരുടെ ഇടയില് പാര്ത്തുവരുന്നു.

13. But the children of Israel destroyed not the Geshurite and the Maachathite and the Canaanite; and the king of the Geshurite and the Maachathite dwelt among the children of Israel to this day.

14. ലേവിഗോത്രത്തിന്നു അവന് ഒരു അവകാശവും കൊടുത്തില്ല; യിസ്രായേലിന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവയുടെ ദഹനയാഗങ്ങള് താന് അവരോടു കല്പിച്ചതുപോലെ അവരുടെ അവകാശം ആകുന്നു.

14. Only no inheritance was given to the tribe of Levi: the Lord God of Israel, He [is] their inheritance, as the Lord said to them; and this [is] the division which Moses made to the children of Israel in Araboth Moab, on the other side of the Jordan, by Jericho.

15. എന്നാല് മോശെ രൂബേന് ഗോത്രത്തിന്നു കുടുംബംകുടുംബമായി അവകാശം കൊടുത്തു.

15. And Moses gave the land to the tribe of Reuben according to their families.

16. അവരുടെ ദേശം അര്ന്നോന് താഴ്വരയുടെ അറ്റത്തെ അരോവേരും താഴ്വരയുടെ നടുവിലെ പട്ടണവും മുതല് മേദബയോടു ചേര്ന്ന സമഭൂമി മുഴുവനും ഹെശ്ബോനും സമഭൂമിയിലുള്ള

16. And their borders were from Aroer, which is opposite the Brook of Arnon, and [theirs is] the city that is in the valley of Arnon; and all Misor,

17. അതിന്റെ എല്ലാപട്ടണങ്ങളും ദീബോനും ബാമോത്ത്-ബാലും ബേത്ത്-ബാല്-മേയോനും

17. to Heshbon, and all the cities in Misor, Dibon, Bamoth Baal, Beth Baal Meon,

18. യഹ്സയും കെദേമോത്തും മേഫാത്തും കിര്യ്യത്തയീമും

18. Bashan, Kedamoth, Mephaath,

19. സിബ്മയും സമഭൂമിയിലെ മലയിലുള്ള സേരെത്ത്-ശഹരും

19. Kirjathaim, Sibmah, Zereth, Shahar in Mount Enab,

20. ബേത്ത്-പെയോരും പിസ്ഗച്ചരിവുകളും ബേത്ത്-യെശീമോത്തും

20. Beth Peor, the slopes of Pisgah, Beth Jeshimoth-

21. സമഭൂമിയിലെ എല്ലാപട്ടണങ്ങളും ഹെശ്ബോനില് വാണിരുന്ന അമോര്യ്യരാജാവായ സീഹോന്റെ രാജ്യം ഒക്കെയും തന്നേ; അവനെയും സീഹോന്റെ പ്രഭുക്കന്മാരായി ദേശത്തു പാര്ത്തിരുന്ന ഏവി, രേക്കെം, സൂര്, ഹൂര്, രേബ എന്നീ മിദ്യാന്യ പ്രഭുക്കന്മാരെയും മോശെ സംഹരിച്ചു.

21. and all the cities of Misor, and all the kingdom of Sihon king of the Amorites, whom Moses struck, even him and the princes of Midian: Evi, Rekem, Zur, Hur, and Reba, prince of the spoils of Sihon, dwelling in the country.

22. യിസ്രായേല്മക്കള് കൊന്നവരുടെ കൂട്ടത്തില് ബെയോരിന്റെ മകനായ ബിലെയാം എന്ന പ്രശ്നക്കാരനെയും വാള്കൊണ്ടു കൊന്നു.

22. And Balaam the son of Beor the prophet they killed in the battle.

23. രൂബേന്യരുടെ അതിര് യോര്ദ്ദാന് ആയിരുന്നു; ഈ പട്ടണങ്ങള് അവയുടെ ഗ്രാമങ്ങളുള്പ്പെടെ രൂബേന്യര്ക്കും കുടുംബംകുടുംബമായി കിട്ടിയ അവകാശം.

23. And the borders of Reuben were the banks of the Jordan. This [is] the inheritance of the children of Reuben according to their families, the cities and their villages.

24. പിന്നെ മോശെ ഗാദ് ഗോത്രത്തിന്നു, കുടുംബംകുടുംബമായി ഗാദ്യര്ക്കും തന്നേ, അവകാശം കൊടുത്തു.

24. And Moses gave inheritance to the sons of Gad according to their families.

25. അവരുടെ ദേശം യസേരും ഗിലെയാദിലെ എല്ലാപട്ടണങ്ങളും രബ്ബയുടെ നേരെയുള്ള അരോവേര്വരെ അമ്മോന്യരുടെ പാതിദേശവും;

25. And their borders were Jazer, all the cities of Gilead, and half the land of the children of Ammon to the Arabah, which is before Arad.

26. ഹെശ്ബോന് മുതല് രാമത്ത്-മിസ്പെയും ബെതോനീമുംവരെയും മഹനയീംമുതല് ദെബീരിന്റെ അതിര്വരെയും;

26. And from Heshbon to Ramath by Mizpah, and Betonim, and from Mahanaim to the borders of Debir,

27. താഴ്വരയില് ഹെശ്ബോന് രാജാവായ സീഹോന്റെ രാജ്യത്തില് ശേഷിപ്പുള്ള ബേത്ത്-ഹാരാം, ബേത്ത്-നിമ്രാം, സുക്കോത്ത്, സാഫോന് എന്നിവയും തന്നേ; യോര്ദ്ദാന്നക്കരെ കിഴക്കു കിന്നെരോത്ത് തടാകത്തിന്റെ അറുതിവരെ യോര്ദ്ദാന് അതിന്നു അതിരായിരുന്നു.

27. and in the valley of Beth Haram, Beth Nimrah, Succoth, and Zaphon, and the rest of the kingdom of Sihon king of Heshbon; and the Jordan shall be the boundary as far as part of the Sea of Chinnereth beyond the Jordan eastward.

28. ഈ പട്ടണങ്ങള് അവയുടെ ഗ്രാമങ്ങളുള്പ്പെടെ കുടുംബംകുടുംബമായി ഗാദ്യര്ക്കും കിട്ടിയ അവകാശം.

28. This [is] the inheritance of the children of Gad according to their families and according to their cities; according to their families they will turn their backs before their enemies, because their cities and their villages were according to their families.

29. പിന്നെ മോശെ മനശ്ശെയുടെ പാതിഗോത്രത്തിന്നു അവകാശം കൊടുത്തു; കുടുംബംകുടുംബമായി മനശ്ശെയുടെ പാതിഗോത്രത്തിന്നുള്ള അവകാശം ഇതു

29. And Moses gave to half the tribe of Manasseh according to their families.

30. അവരുടെ ദേശം മഹനയീംമുതല് ബാശാന് മുഴുവനും ബാശാന് രാജാവായ ഔഗിന്റെ രാജ്യമൊക്കെയും ബാശാനില് യായീരിന്റെ ഊരുകള് എല്ലാംകൂടി അറുപതു പട്ടണങ്ങളും

30. And their borders were from Mahanaim, and all the kingdom of Bashan, and all the kingdom of Og king of Bashan, and all the villages of Jair, which are in the region of Bashan, sixty cities;

31. പാതിഗിലെയാദും ബാശാനിലെ ഔഗിന്റെ രാജ്യത്തിലെ പട്ടണങ്ങളായ അസ്തരോത്ത്, എദ്രെയി എന്നിവയും തന്നേ; ഇവ മനശ്ശെയുടെ മകനായ മാഖീരിന്റെ മക്കള്ക്കു, മാഖീരിന്റെ മക്കളില് പാതിപ്പേര്ക്കും തന്നേ, കുടുംബംകുടുംബമായി കിട്ടി.

31. half of Gilead, and in Ashtaroth, and in Edrei, royal cities of Og in the land of Bashan, [Moses gave] to the sons of Machir the sons of Manasseh, even to the half-tribe sons of Machir the sons of Manasseh, according to their families.

32. ഇതു മോശെ യെരീഹോവിന്നു കിഴക്കു യോര്ദ്ദാന്നക്കരെ മോവാബ് സമഭൂമിയില്വെച്ചു ഭാഗിച്ചുകൊടുത്ത അവകാശം ആകുന്നു.

32. These [are] they whom Moses caused to inherit beyond the Jordan in Araboth Moab, beyond the Jordan by Jericho, eastward.

33. ലേവിഗോത്രത്തിന്നോ മോശെ ഒരു അവകാശവും കൊടുത്തില്ല; യിസ്രായേലിന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവ അവരോടു കല്പിച്ചതുപോലെ താന് തന്നേ അവരുടെ അവകാശം ആകുന്നു.
