1. അനന്തരം ഹന്നാ പ്രാര്ത്ഥിച്ചു പറഞ്ഞതെന്തെന്നാല്എന്റെ ഹൃദയം യഹോവയില് ആനന്ദിക്കുന്നു; എന്റെ കൊമ്പു യഹോവയാല് ഉയര്ന്നിരിക്കുന്നു; എന്റെ വായ് ശത്രുക്കളുടെ നേരെ വിശാലമാകുന്നു; നിന്റെ രക്ഷയില് ഞാന് സന്തോഷിക്കുന്നു.
ലൂക്കോസ് 1:46-47

1. My heart is established in the Lord, my horn is exalted in my God; my mouth is enlarged over my enemies, I have rejoiced in Your salvation.

2. യഹോവയെപ്പോലെ പരിശുദ്ധന് ഇല്ല; നീ അല്ലാതെ ഒരുത്തനുമില്ലല്ലോ; നമ്മുടെ ദൈവത്തെപ്പോലെ ഒരു പാറയും ഇല്ല.

2. For there is none holy like the Lord, and there is none righteous as our God; there is none holy besides You.

3. ഡംഭിച്ചു ഡംഭിച്ചു ഇനി സംസാരിക്കരുതു; നിങ്ങളുടെ വായില്നിന്നു അഹങ്കാരം പുറപ്പെടരുതു. യഹോവ ജ്ഞാനമുള്ള ദൈവം; അവന് പ്രവൃത്തികളെ തൂക്കിനോക്കുന്നു.

3. Boast not, and utter not high things; let not high sounding words come out of your mouth, for the Lord is a God of knowledge, and God prepares His own designs.

4. വീരന്മാരുടെ വില്ലു ഒടിഞ്ഞുപോകുന്നു; ഇടറിയവരോ ബലം ധരിക്കുന്നു.

4. The bow of the mighty has grown feeble, and the weak have girded themselves with strength.

5. സമ്പന്നര് ആഹാരത്തിന്നായി കൂലിക്കു നിലക്കുന്നു; വിശന്നവര് വിശ്രമം പ്രാപിക്കുന്നു; മച്ചി ഏഴു പ്രസവിക്കുന്നു; പുത്രസമ്പന്നയോ ക്ഷയിച്ചു പോകുന്നു.

5. They that were full of bread are brought low; and the hungry have forsaken the land; for the barren has born seven, and she that abounded in children has grown feeble.

6. യഹോവ കൊല്ലുകയും ജീവിപ്പിക്കയും ചെയ്യുന്നു. പാതാളത്തില് ഇറക്കുകയും ഉദ്ധരിക്കയും ചെയ്യുന്നു;

6. The Lord kills and makes alive; He brings down to the grave, and brings up.

7. യഹോവ ദാരിദ്ര്യവും ഐശ്വര്യവും നലകുന്നു; അവന് താഴ്ത്തുകയും ഉയര്ത്തുകയും ചെയ്യുന്നു.

7. The Lord makes poor, and makes rich; He brings low, and lifts up.

8. He lifts up the poor from the earth, and raises the needy from the dunghill; to seat him with the princes of the people, and causing them to inherit the throne of glory;

9. തന്റെ വിശുദ്ധന്മാരുടെ കാലുകളെ അവന് കാക്കുന്നു; ദുഷ്ടന്മാര് അന്ധകാരത്തില് മിണ്ടാതെയാകുന്നു; സ്വശക്തിയാല് ഒരുത്തനും ജയിക്കയില്ല.

9. granting his petition to him that prays; and He blesses the years of the righteous, for by strength cannot man prevail.

10. യഹോവയോടു എതിര്ക്കുംന്നവന് തകര്ന്നുപോകുന്നു; അവന് ആകാശത്തുനിന്നു അവരുടെമേല് ഇടി വെട്ടിക്കുന്നു. യഹോവ ഭൂസീമാവാസികളെ വിധിക്കുന്നു; തന്റെ രാജാവിന്നു ശക്തി കൊടുക്കുന്നു; തന്റെ അഭിഷിക്തന്റെ കൊമ്പു ഉയര്ത്തുന്നു.

10. The Lord will weaken His adversary; the Lord is holy. Let not the wise man boast in his wisdom, nor let the mighty man boast in his strength, and let not the rich man boast in his wealth; but let him that boasts boast in this: to understand and know the Lord, and to execute judgment and justice in the midst of the earth. The Lord has gone up to the heavens, and has thundered: He will judge the extremities of the earth, and He gives strength to our kings, and will exalt the horn of His Christ. And she left him there before the Lord,

11. പിന്നെ എല്ക്കാനാ രാമയില് തന്റെ വീട്ടിലേക്കു പോയി. ബാലന് പുരോഹിതനായ ഏലിയുടെ മുമ്പില് യഹോവേക്കു ശുശ്രൂഷചെയ്തു പോന്നു.

11. and departed to Ramathaim. And the child ministered in the presence of the Lord before Eli the priest.

12. എന്നാല് ഏലിയുടെ പുത്രന്മാര് നീചന്മാരും യഹോവയെ ഔര്ക്കാത്തവരും ആയിരുന്നു.

12. And the sons of Eli the priest [were] evil sons, not knowing the Lord.

13. ഈ പുരോഹിതന്മാര് ജനത്തോടു ആചരിച്ച വിധം എങ്ങനെയെന്നാല്വല്ലവരും ഒരു യാഗം കഴിക്കുമ്പോള് മാംസം വേവിക്കുന്ന സമയത്തു പുരോഹിതന്റെ ബാല്യക്കാരന് കയ്യില് മുപ്പല്ലിയുമായി വന്നു

13. And the priest's claim from everyone of the people that sacrificed was this: the servant of the priest came when the flesh was in seething, and a flesh-hook of three teeth was in his hand.

14. കലത്തിലോ ഉരുളിയിലോ കുട്ടകത്തിലോ ചട്ടിയിലോ കുത്തും; മുപ്പല്ലിയില് പിടിച്ചതൊക്കെയും പുരോഹിതന് എടുത്തുകൊള്ളും. ശീലോവില് വരുന്ന എല്ലായിസ്രായേല്യരോടും അവര് അങ്ങനെ ചെയ്യും.

14. And he struck it into the great caldron, or into the bronze vessel, or into the pot, and whatever came up with the flesh-hook, the priest took for himself. So they did to all Israel that came to sacrifice to the Lord in Shiloh.

15. മേദസ്സു ദഹിപ്പിക്കുംമുമ്പെ പുരോഹിതന്റെ ബാല്യക്കാരന് വന്നു യാഗം കഴിക്കുന്നവനോടുപുരോഹിതന്നു വറുപ്പാന് മാംസം തരിക; പച്ചമാംസമല്ലാതെ വേവിച്ചതു അവന് വാങ്ങുകയില്ല എന്നു പറയും.

15. And before the fat was burnt for a sweet savor, the servant of the priest would come, and say to the man that sacrificed, Give flesh to roast for the priest, and I will by no means take from you boiled flesh out of the caldron.

16. മേദസ്സു ദഹിപ്പിച്ചുകഴിയട്ടെ; അതിന്റെ ശേഷം നീ ആഗ്രഹിക്കുന്നേടത്തോളം എടുത്തുകൊള്ക എന്നു അവനോടു പറഞ്ഞാല് അവന് അവനോടുഅല്ല, ഇപ്പോള് തന്നേ തരേണം; അല്ലെങ്കില് ഞാന് ബലാല്ക്കാരേണ എടുക്കും എന്നു പറയും.

16. And if the man that sacrificed said, First let the fat be burned, as it is fit, and take for yourself of all things which your soul desires. Then he would say, No, but you shall give it to me now; and if not I will take it by force.

17. ഇങ്ങനെ ആ യൌവനക്കാര് യഹോവയുടെ വഴിപാടു നിന്ദിച്ചതുകൊണ്ടു അവരുടെ പാപം യഹോവയുടെ സന്നിധിയില് ഏറ്റവും വലിയതായിരുന്നു.

17. So the sin of the young men was very great before the Lord, for they despised the offering of the Lord.

18. ശമൂവേല് എന്ന ബാലനോ പഞ്ഞിനൂല്കൊണ്ടുള്ള അങ്കി ധരിച്ചു യഹോവയുടെ സന്നിധിയില് ശുശ്രൂഷ ചെയ്തുപോന്നു.

18. And Samuel ministered before the Lord, a child wearing a linen ephod.

19. അവന്റെ അമ്മ ആണ്ടുതോറും ഒരു ചെറിയ അങ്കി ഉണ്ടാക്കി തന്റെ ഭര്ത്താവിനോടുകൂടെ വര്ഷാന്തരയാഗം കഴിപ്പാന് വരുമ്പോള് അവന്നു കൊണ്ടുവന്നു കൊടുക്കും.

19. And his mother made him a little robe, and brought it to him from year to year, in her going up in company with her husband to offer the yearly sacrifice.

20. എന്നാല് ഏലി എല്ക്കാനയെയും അവന്റെ ഭാര്യയെയും അനുഗ്രഹിച്ചു; ഈ സ്ത്രീ യഹോവേക്കു കഴിച്ച നീവേദ്യത്തിന്നു പകരം യഹോവ അവളില് നിന്നു നിനക്കു സന്തതിയെ നലകുമാറാകട്ടെ എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു. പിന്നെ അവര് തങ്ങളുടെ വീട്ടിലേക്കു പോയി.

20. And Eli blessed Elkanah and his wife, saying The Lord recompense to you decendants from this woman, in return for the loan which you have lent to the Lord. And the man returned to his place.

21. യഹോവ ഹന്നയെ കടാക്ഷിച്ചു; അവള് ഗര്ഭംധരിച്ചു മൂന്നു പുത്രന്മാരെയും രണ്ടു പുത്രിമാരെയും പ്രസവിച്ചു. ശമൂവേല്ബാലനോ യഹോവയുടെ സന്നിധിയില് വളര്ന്നുവന്നു.

21. And the Lord visited Anna, and she bore yet three sons, and two daughters. And the child Samuel grew before the Lord.

22. ഏലി വൃദ്ധനായാറെ അവന്റെ പുത്രന്മാര് എല്ലായിസ്രായേലിനോടും ചെയ്യുന്നതൊക്കെയും സമാഗമനക്കുടാരത്തിന്റെ വാതില്ക്കല് സേവ ചെയ്യുന്ന സ്ത്രീകളോടുകൂടെ ശയിക്കുന്നതും അവന് കേട്ടു.

22. And Eli was very old, and he heard what his sons did to the children of Israel.

23. അവന് അവരോടുനിങ്ങള് ഈവക ചെയ്യുന്നതു എന്തു? നിങ്ങളുടെ ദുഷ്പ്രവൃത്തികളെക്കുറിച്ചു ഈ ജനമൊക്കെയും പറഞ്ഞു ഞാന് കേള്ക്കുന്നു.

23. And he said to them, Why do you do such things, which I hear from the mouth of all the people of the Lord?

24. അങ്ങനെ അരുതു, എന്റെ മക്കളേ, യഹോവയുടെ ജനം നിങ്ങളെക്കുറിച്ചു പരത്തുന്നതായി ഞാന് കേള്ക്കുന്ന കേള്വി നന്നല്ല.

24. No my sons! For the report which I hear is not good. Do not [do] so, for the reports which I hear are not good, so that the people do not serve God.

25. മനുഷ്യന് മനുഷ്യനോടു പാപം ചെയ്താല് അവന്നു വേണ്ടി ദൈവത്തോടു അപേക്ഷിക്കാം; മനുഷ്യന് യഹോവയോടു പാപം ചെയ്താലോ അവന്നു വേണ്ടി ആര് അപേക്ഷിക്കും എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു. എങ്കിലും അവരെ കൊല്ലുവാന് യഹോവ നിശ്ചയിച്ചതുകൊണ്ടു അവര് അപ്പന്റെ വാക്കു കൂട്ടാക്കിയില്ല.

25. If a man should at all sin against another, then shall they pray for him to the Lord; but if a man sin against the Lord, who shall intercede for him? But they hearkened not to the voice of their father, because the Lord would by all means destroy them.

26. ശമൂവേല്ബാലനോ വളരുന്തോറും യഹോവേക്കും മനുഷ്യര്ക്കും പ്രീതിയുള്ളവനായി വളര്ന്നു.

26. And the child Samuel advanced, and was in favor with God and with men.

27. അനന്തരം ഒരു ദൈവപുരുഷന് ഏലിയുടെ അടുക്കല് വന്നു അവനോടു പറഞ്ഞതുയഹോവ ഇപ്രകാരം അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നുനിന്റെ പിതൃഭവനം മിസ്രയീമില് ഫറവോന്റെ ഗൃഹത്തിന്നു അടിമകളായിരുന്നപ്പോള് ഞാന് അവര്ക്കും വെളിപ്പെട്ടു നിശ്ചയം.

27. And a man of God came to Eli, and said, Thus says the Lord, I plainly revealed Myself to the house of your father, when they were servants in Egypt to the house of Pharaoh.

28. എന്റെ യാഗപീഠത്തിന്മേല് കയറുവാനും ധൂപം കാട്ടുവാനും എന്റെ സന്നിധിയില് ഏഫോദ് ധരിപ്പാനും ഞാന് അവനെ യിസ്രായേലിന്റെ സകലഗോത്രത്തില്നിന്നും എനിക്കു പുരോഹിതനായി തിരഞ്ഞെടുത്തു; യിസ്രായേല്മക്കളുടെ സകലദഹനയാഗങ്ങളെയും ഞാന് നിന്റെ പിതൃഭവനത്തിന്നു കൊടുത്തു.

28. And I chose the house of your father out of all the tribes of Israel to minister to Me in the priest's office, to go up to My altar, and to burn incense, and to wear an ephod. And I gave to the house of your father all the offerings by fire of the children of Israel for food.

29. തിരുനിവാസത്തില് അര്പ്പിപ്പാന് ഞാന് കല്പിച്ചിട്ടുള്ള എന്റെ യാഗവും വഴിപാടും നിങ്ങള് ചവിട്ടുകയും എന്റെ ജനമായ യിസ്രായേലിന്റെ എല്ലാവഴിപാടുകളിലും പ്രധാനഭാഗംകൊണ്ടു നിങ്ങളെത്തന്നേ കൊഴുപ്പിപ്പാന് തക്കവണ്ണം നീ നിന്റെ പുത്രന്മാരെ എന്നെക്കാള് ബഹുമാനിക്കയും ചെയ്യുന്നതു എന്തു?

29. Therefore why have you looked upon My incense offering and My grain offering with a shameless eye, and have honored your sons above Me, so that they should bless themselves with the firstfruits of every sacrifice of Israel before Me?

30. ആകയാല് യിസ്രായേലിന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവ ഇപ്രകാരം അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നുനിന്റെ ഭവനവും നിന്റെ പിതൃഭവനവും എന്റെ സന്നിധിയില് നിത്യം പരിചരിക്കുമെന്നു ഞാന് കല്പിച്ചിരുന്നു നിശ്ചയം; ഇപ്പോഴോ യഹോവ അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നതുഅങ്ങനെ ഒരിക്കലും ആകയില്ല; എന്നെ മാനിക്കുന്നവരെ ഞാന് മാനിക്കും; എന്നെ നിന്ദിക്കുന്നവര് നിന്ദിതരാകും.

30. Therefore thus says the Lord God of Israel: I said, Your house and the house of your father shall pass before Me forever: but now the Lord says, Far be it from Me; for I will only honor them that honor Me, and he that despises Me shall be despised.

31. നിന്റെ ഭവനത്തില് ഒരു വൃദ്ധനും ഉണ്ടാകാതവണ്ണം ഞാന് നിന്റെ ഭുജവും നിന്റെ പിതൃഭവനത്തിന്റെ ഭുജവും തകര്ത്തുകളയുന്ന നാളുകള് ഇതാ വരുന്നു.

31. Behold, the days come when I will destroy your seed, and the seed of your father's house.

32. യിസ്രായേലിന്നു ലഭിപ്പാനുള്ള എല്ലാനന്മകളുടെയും മദ്ധ്യേ നീ തിരുനിവാസത്തില് ഒരു പ്രതിയോഗിയെ കാണും; നിന്റെ ഭവനത്തില് ഒരുനാളും ഒരു വൃദ്ധന് ഉണ്ടാകയുമില്ല.

32. And you shall not have an old man in My house forever.

33. നിന്റെ കണ്ണു ക്ഷയിപ്പിപ്പാനും നിന്റെ ഹൃദയം വ്യസനിപ്പിപ്പാനും ഞാന് നിന്റെ ഭവനത്തില് ഒരുത്തനെ എന്റെ യാഗപീഠത്തില് നിന്നു ഛേദിച്ചുകളയാതെ വെച്ചേക്കും; നിന്റെ ഭവനത്തിലെ സന്താനമൊക്കെയും പുരുഷപ്രായത്തില് മരിക്കും.

33. And if I do not destroy a man of yours from My altar, [it shall be] that his eyes may fail and his soul may perish; and everyone that remains in your house shall fall by the sword of men.

34. നിന്റെ രണ്ടു പുത്രന്മാരായ ഹൊഫ്നിക്കും ഫീനെഹാസിന്നും ഭവിപ്പാനിരിക്കുന്നതു നിനക്കു ഒരു അടയാളം ആകും; അവര് ഇരുവരും ഒരു ദിവസത്തില് തന്നേ മരിക്കും.

34. And this which shall come upon your two sons Hophni and Phineas shall be a sign to you: in one day they shall both die.

35. എന്നാല് എന്റെ പ്രസാദവും ഹിതവും അനുഷ്ഠിക്കുന്ന ഒരു വിശ്വസ്തപുരോഹിതനെ ഞാന് എനിക്കു എഴുന്നേല്പിക്കും; അവന്നു ഞാന് സ്ഥിരമായോരു ഭവനം പണിയും; അവന് എന്റെ അഭിഷിക്തന്റെ മുമ്പാകെ നിത്യം പരിചരിക്കും.

35. And I will raise up to Myself a faithful priest, who shall do all that is in My heart and in My soul; and I will build him a sure house, and he shall walk before My Christ forever.

36. നിന്റെ ഭവനത്തില് ശേഷിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നവനെല്ലാം അവന്റെ അടുക്കല് വന്നു ഒരു വെള്ളിക്കാശിന്നും ഒരു അപ്പത്തിന്നുമായിട്ടു അവനെ കുമ്പിട്ടുഒരു കഷണം അപ്പം തിന്മാന് ഇടവരേണ്ടതിന്നു എന്നെ ഒരു പുരോഹിതന്റെ വേലെക്കാക്കേണമേ എന്നു അപേക്ഷിക്കും.

36. And it shall come to pass that he that survives in your house will come and bow down before him for a little piece of silver, saying, Put me into one of your priest's offices to eat bread.
