1. അബ്രാഹാം വയസ്സുചെന്നു വൃദ്ധനായി; യഹോവ അബ്രാഹാമിനെ സകലത്തിലും അനുഗ്രഹിച്ചിരുന്നു.

1. Now Abraham was old. He had lived many years. And the Lord had brought good to Abraham in every way.

2. തന്റെ വീട്ടില് മൂപ്പനും തനിക്കുള്ളതിന്നൊക്കെയും വിചാരകനുമായ ദാസനോടു അബ്രാഹാം പറഞ്ഞതുനിന്റെ കൈ എന്റെ തുടയിന് കീഴില് വെക്കുക;

2. Abraham said to the oldest servant in his house and the one who took care of all that he owned, 'Place your hand under my hip,

3. ചുറ്റും പാര്ക്കുംന്ന കനാന്യരുടെ കന്യകമാരില്നിന്നു നീ എന്റെ മകന്നു ഭാര്യയെ എടുക്കാതെ,

3. and I will have you promise by the Lord, the God of heaven and earth. Promise that you will not take a wife for my son from the daughters of the Canaanites, who live around me.

4. എന്റെ ദേശത്തും എന്റെ ചാര്ച്ചക്കാരുടെ അടുക്കലും ചെന്നു എന്റെ മകനായ യിസ്ഹാക്കിന്നു ഭാര്യയെ എടുക്കുമെന്നു സ്വര്ഗ്ഗത്തിന്നും ഭൂമിക്കും ദൈവമായ യഹോവയുടെ നാമത്തില് ഞാന് നിന്നെക്കൊണ്ടു സത്യം ചെയ്യിക്കും.

4. But go to my country and to those of my family. Take a wife for my son Isaac from there.'

5. ദാസന് അവനോടുപക്ഷേ സ്ത്രീക്കു എന്നോടുകൂടെ ഈ ദേശത്തേക്കു വരുവാന് മനസ്സില്ലെങ്കിലോ? നീ വിട്ടുപോന്ന ദേശത്തേക്കു ഞാന് നിന്റെ മകനെ മടക്കിക്കൊണ്ടുപോകേണമോ എന്നു ചോദിച്ചു.

5. The servant said to Abraham, 'What if the woman will not be willing to follow me to this land? Should I take your son to the land you came from?'

6. അബ്രാഹാം അവനോടു പറഞ്ഞതുഎന്റെ മകനെ അവിടെക്കു മടക്കിക്കൊണ്ടു പോകാതിരിപ്പാന് സൂക്ഷിച്ചുകൊള്ക.

6. Abraham said to him, 'Make sure that you do not take my son there.

7. എന്റെ പിതൃഭവനത്തില്നിന്നും ജന്മദേശത്തുനിന്നും എന്നെ കൊണ്ടുവന്നവനും എന്നോടു അരുളിച്ചെയ്തവനും നിന്റെ സന്തതിക്കു ഞാന് ഈ ദേശം കൊടുക്കുമെന്നു എന്നോടു സത്യം ചെയ്തവനുമായി സ്വര്ഗ്ഗത്തിന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവ എന്റെ മകന്നു നീ ഒരു ഭാര്യയെ അവിടെനിന്നു കൊണ്ടുവരുവാന് തക്കവണ്ണം നിനക്കു മുമ്പായി തന്റെ ദൂതനെ അയക്കും.

7. The Lord, the God of heaven, Who took me from my father's house and from the land of my birth, spoke to me and promised me. He said, 'I will give this land to your children and to their children's children.' He will send His angel in front of you. And you will take a wife for my son from there.

8. എന്നാല് സ്ത്രീക്കു നിന്നോടുകൂടെ വരുവാന് മനസ്സില്ലെങ്കില് നീ ഈ സത്യത്തില് നിന്നു ഒഴിഞ്ഞിരിക്കും; എന്റെ മകനെ അവിടേക്കു മടക്കിക്കൊണ്ടുപോക മാത്രം അരുതു.

8. But if the woman is not willing to follow you, then you will be free from this promise to me. Only do not take my son there.'

9. അപ്പോള് ദാസന് തന്റെ യജമാനനായ അബ്രാഹാമിന്റെ തുടയിന് കീഴില് കൈവെച്ചു അങ്ങനെ അവനോടു സത്യം ചെയ്തു.

9. So the servant placed his hand under the hip of Abraham, and he promised to do this.

10. അനന്തരം ആ ദാസന് തന്റെ യജമാനന്റെ ഒട്ടകങ്ങളില് പത്തു ഒട്ടകങ്ങളെയും യജമാനന്നുള്ള വിവിധമായ വിശേഷവസ്തുക്കളെയും കൊണ്ടു പുറപ്പെട്ടു മെസൊപ്പൊത്താമ്യയില് നാഹോരിന്റെ പട്ടണത്തില് ചെന്നു.

10. Then the servant took ten of Abraham's camels and left. He took with him all kinds of gifts from Abraham. Then he went to the city of Nahor in Mesopotamia.

11. വൈകുന്നേരം സ്ത്രീകള് വെള്ളം കോരുവാന് വരുന്ന സമയത്തു അവന് ഒട്ടകങ്ങളെ പട്ടണത്തിന്നു പുറത്തു ഒരു കിണറ്റിന്നരികെ നിറുത്തി പറഞ്ഞതെന്തെന്നാല്

11. He made the camels get down on their knees outside the city by the well of water in the evening. It was the time when women go out to get water.

12. എന്റെ യജമാനനായ അബ്രാഹാമിന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവേ, എന്റെ യജമാനനായ അബ്രാഹാമിനോടു കൃപചെയ്തു ഇന്നുതന്നെ കാര്യം സാധിപ്പിച്ചുതരേണമേ.

12. He said, 'O Lord, the God of my boss Abraham, let all go well for me today. Show loving-kindness to my boss Abraham.

13. ഇതാ, ഞാന് കിണറ്റിന്നരികെ നിലക്കുന്നു; ഈ പട്ടണക്കാരുടെ കന്യകമാര് വെള്ളം കോരുവാന് വരുന്നു.

13. See, I am standing here by the well of water. And the daughters of the men of the city are coming out to get water.

14. നിന്റെ പാത്രം ഇറക്കി എനിക്കു കുടിപ്പാന് തരേണം എന്നു ഞാന് പറയുമ്പോള്കുടിക്ക; നിന്റെ ഒട്ടകങ്ങള്ക്കും കുടിപ്പാന് കൊടുക്കാമെന്നു പറയുന്ന സ്ത്രീ തന്നേ നീ നിന്റെ ദാസനായ യിസ്ഹാക്കിന്നു നിയമിച്ചവളായിരിക്കട്ടെ; നീ എന്റെ യജമാനനോടു കൃപ ചെയ്തു എന്നു ഞാന് അതിനാല് ഗ്രഹിക്കും.

14. If I say to a girl, 'Let down your jar so that I may drink,' and she answers, 'Drink, and I will give water to your camels also,' let her be the one whom You have chosen for your servant Isaac. I will know by this that You have shown loving-kindness to my boss.'

15. അവന് പറഞ്ഞു തീരുംമുമ്പെ അബ്രാഹാമിന്റെ സഹോദരനായ നാഹോരിന്റെ ഭാര്യ മില്ക്കയുടെ മകന് ബെഥൂവേലിന്റെ മകള് റിബെക്കാ തോളില് പാത്രവുമായി വന്നു.

15. Before he had finished speaking, Rebekah came out, the daughter of Bethuel, the son of Milcah and Nahor, the brother of Abraham. She had a jar on her shoulder.

16. ബാല അതിസുന്ദരിയും പുരുഷന് തൊടാത്ത കന്യകയും ആയിരുന്നു; അവള് കിണറ്റില് ഇറങ്ങി പാത്രം നിറച്ചു കയറിവന്നു.

16. The girl was very beautiful and had never lain with a man. She went down to the well, filled her jar and came up.

17. ദാസന് വേഗത്തില് അവളെ എതിരേറ്റു ചെന്നുനിന്റെ പാത്രത്തിലെ വെള്ളം കുറെ എനിക്കു കുടിപ്പാന് തരേണം എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

17. Then the servant ran to meet her. He said, 'Let me drink a little water from your jar.'

18. യജമാനനേ, കുടിക്ക എന്നു അവള് പറഞ്ഞു വേഗം പാത്രം കയ്യില് ഇറക്കി അവന്നു കുടിപ്പാന് കൊടുത്തു.

18. She said, 'Drink, my lord.' And she was quick to lift her jar to her hand and give him a drink.

19. അവന്നു കുടിപ്പാന് കൊടുത്ത ശേഷംനിന്റെ ഒട്ടകങ്ങള്ക്കും വേണ്ടുവോളം ഞാന് കോരിക്കൊടുക്കാം എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു,

19. When she had finished giving him a drink, she said, 'I will get water for your camels also, until they have finished drinking.'

20. പാത്രത്തിലെ വെള്ളം വേഗം തൊട്ടിയില് ഒഴിച്ചു, പിന്നെയും കോരിക്കൊണ്ടുവരുവാന് കിണറ്റിലേക്കു ഔടി ഇറങ്ങി അവന്റെ ഒട്ടകങ്ങള്ക്കും എല്ലാം കോരിക്കൊടുത്തു.

20. She was quick to empty her jar into the animals' drinking place. Then she ran to the well for more water, and got enough for all his camels.

21. ആ പുരുഷന് അവളെ ഉറ്റുനോക്കി, യഹോവ തന്റെ യാത്രയെ സഫലമാക്കിയോ ഇല്ലയോ എന്നു അറിയേണ്ടതിന്നു മിണ്ടാതിരുന്നു.

21. The man was quiet and watched her, waiting to know if the Lord had made all go well or not during his visit.

22. ഒട്ടകങ്ങള് കുടിച്ചു തീര്ന്നപ്പോള് അവന് അര ശേക്കെല് തൂക്കമുള്ള ഒരു പൊന്മൂകൂത്തിയും അവളുടെ കൈക്കിടുവാന് പത്തു ശേക്കെല് തൂക്കമുള്ള രണ്ടു പൊന് വളയും എടുത്തു അവളോടു

22. When the camels had finished drinking, the man took a heavy gold ring and two heavy gold objects to wear on her arms.

23. He said, 'Whose daughter are you? Tell me, is there a place for us to stay in your father's house?'

24. അവള് അവനോടുനാഹോരിന്നു മില്ക്കാ പ്രസവിച്ച മകനായ ബെഥൂവേലിന്റെ മകള് ആകുന്നു ഞാന് എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

24. She said to him, 'I am the daughter of Bethuel, the son of Milcah and Nahor.'

25. ഞങ്ങളുടെയവിടെ വയ്ക്കോലും തീനും വേണ്ടുവോളം ഉണ്ടു; രാപാര്പ്പാന് സ്ഥലവും ഉണ്ടു എന്നും അവള് പറഞ്ഞു.

25. She also said, 'We have both enough straw and food, and a place to stay.'

26. അപ്പോള് ആ പുരുഷന് കുനിഞ്ഞു യഹോവയെ നമസ്കരിച്ചു

26. Then the man bowed low and worshiped the Lord.

27. എന്റെ യജമാനനായ അബ്രാഹാമിന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവ വാഴ്ത്തപ്പെട്ടവന് ; അവന് എന്റെ യജമാനനോടുള്ള ദയയും വിശ്വസ്തതയും ഉപേക്ഷിച്ചിട്ടില്ല. ഈ യാത്രയില് യഹോവ എന്നെ എന്റെ യജമാനന്റെ സഹോദരന്മാരുടെ വീട്ടിലേക്കു നടത്തിക്കൊണ്ടുവന്നുവല്ലോ എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

27. He said, 'Honor and thanks be to the Lord, the God of my boss Abraham. He has not kept His loving-kindness and His truth from my boss. He has led me in the way to the house of my boss's brothers.'

28. ബാല ഔടിച്ചെന്നു അമ്മയുടെ വീട്ടുകാരെ ഈ വസ്തുത അറിയിച്ചു.

28. Then the girl ran and told about all this to those in her mother's house.

29. റിബെക്കെക്കു ഒരു സഹോദരന് ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നു; അവന്നു ലാബാന് എന്നു പേര്. ലാബാന് പുറത്തു കിണറ്റിങ്കല് ആ പുരുഷന്റെ അടുക്കല് ഔടിച്ചെന്നു.

29. Rebekah had a brother whose name was Laban. And Laban ran outside to the man at the well.

30. അവന് മൂകൂത്തിയും സഹോദരിയുടെ കൈമേല് വളയും കാണുകയും ആ പുരുഷന് ഇന്നപ്രകാരം എന്നോടു പറഞ്ഞു എന്നു തന്റെ സഹോദരിയായ റിബെക്കയുടെ വാക്കു കേള്ക്കയും ചെയ്തപ്പോള് ആ പുരുഷന്റെ അടുക്കല് ചെന്നു; അവന് കിണറ്റിങ്കല് ഒട്ടകങ്ങളുടെ അരികെ നില്ക്കയായിരുന്നു.

30. When he saw the gold objects his sister was wearing, and heard his sister Rebekah saying, 'This is what the man said to me,' he went to the man. He saw him standing by the camels at the well.

31. അപ്പോള് അവന് യഹോവയാല് അനുഗ്രഹിക്കപ്പെട്ടവനേ, അകത്തു വരിക; എന്തിന്നു പുറത്തു നിലക്കുന്നു? വീടും ഒട്ടകങ്ങള്ക്കു സ്ഥലവും ഞാന് ഒരുക്കിയിരിക്കുന്നു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

31. Laban said, 'Come in, you who receive good from the Lord! Why do you stand outside? I have made the house ready, and a place for the camels.'

32. അങ്ങനെ ആ പുരുഷന് വീട്ടില് ചെന്നു. അവന് ഒട്ടകങ്ങളെ കോപ്പഴിച്ചു ഒട്ടകങ്ങള്ക്കു വയ്ക്കോലും തീനും അവന്നും കൂടെയുള്ളവര്ക്കും കാലുകളെ കഴുകുവാന് വെള്ളവും കൊടുത്തു, അവന്റെ മുമ്പില് ഭക്ഷണം വെച്ചു.

32. So the man came into the house. Laban took the load off the camels, and gave them straw and food. He got water to wash the feet of Abraham's servant and the feet of the men who were with him.

33. ഞാന് വന്ന കാര്യം അറിയിക്കും മുമ്പെ ഭക്ഷണം കഴിക്കയില്ല എന്നു അവന് പറഞ്ഞു. പറക എന്നു അവനും പറഞ്ഞു.

33. Then food was set in front of the man to eat. But he said, 'I will not eat until I have told you why I came here.' Laban said, 'Tell it.'

34. അപ്പോള് അവന് പറഞ്ഞതുഞാന് അബ്രാഹാമിന്റെ ദാസന് .

34. So he said, 'I am Abraham's servant.

35. യഹോവ എന്റെ യജമാനനെ ഏറ്റവും അനുഗ്രഹിച്ചു അവന് മഹാനായിത്തീര്ന്നു; അവന് അവന്നു ആടു, മാടു, പൊന്നു, വെള്ളി, ദാസീദാസന്മാര്, ഒട്ടകങ്ങള് കഴുതകള് എന്നീവകയൊക്കെയും കൊടുത്തിരിക്കുന്നു.

35. And the Lord has brought much good to my boss. He has become rich. The Lord has given him flocks and cattle, silver and gold, men and women servants, and camels and donkeys.

36. എന്റെ യജമാനന്റെ ഭാര്യയായ സാറാ വൃദ്ധയായശേഷം എന്റെ യജമാനന്നു ഒരു മകനെ പ്രസവിച്ചു; അവന് തനിക്കുള്ളതൊക്കെയും അവന്നു കൊടുത്തിരിക്കുന്നു.

36. My boss's wife Sarah gave birth to my boss's son when she was very old. And he has given him all he has.

37. ഞാന് പാര്ക്കുംന്ന കനാന് ദേശത്തിലെ കനാന്യ കന്യകമാരില്നിന്നു നീ എന്റെ മകന്നു ഭാര്യയെ എടുക്കാതെ,

37. 'My boss made me promise, saying, 'Do not take a wife for my son from the daughters of the Canaanites, in whose land I live.

38. എന്റെ പിതൃഭവനത്തിലും വംശക്കാരുടെ അടുക്കലും ചെന്നു എന്റെ മകന്നു ഭാര്യയെ എടുക്കേണമെന്നു പറഞ്ഞു യജമാനന് എന്നെക്കൊണ്ടു സത്യം ചെയ്യിച്ചു.

38. But go to my father's house, to those of my family, and take a wife for my son there.'

39. ഞാന് യജമാനനോടുപക്ഷേ സ്ത്രീ എന്നോടുകൂടെ പേരുന്നില്ലെങ്കിലോ എന്നു പറഞ്ഞതിന്നു അവന് എന്നോടു

39. I said to my owner, 'What if the woman will not follow me?'

40. ഞാന് സേവിച്ചുപോരുന്ന യഹോവ തന്റെ ദൂതനെ നിന്നോടുകൂടെ അയച്ചു, നീ എന്റെ വംശത്തില്നിന്നും പിതൃഭവനത്തില്നിന്നും എന്റെ മകന്നു ഭാര്യയെ എടുപ്പാന്തക്കവണ്ണം നിന്റെ യാത്രയെ സഫലമാക്കും;

40. He said to me, 'The Lord, Whom I have always obeyed, will send His angel with you to make all go well during your visit there. You will take a wife for my son from those of my family and from my father's house.

41. എന്റെ വംശക്കാരുടെ അടുക്കല് ചെന്നാല് നീ ഈ സത്യത്തില്നിന്നു ഒഴിഞ്ഞിരിക്കും; അവര് നിനക്കു തരുന്നില്ല എന്നു വരികിലും നീ ഈ സത്യത്തില് നിന്നു ഒഴിഞ്ഞിരിക്കും എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

41. Then you will be free from your promise to me. When you come to those of my family, and if they do not give her to you, then you will be free from your promise to me.'

42. ഞാന് ഇന്നു കിണറ്റിന്നരികെ വന്നപ്പോള് പറഞ്ഞതുഎന്റെ യജമാനനായ അബ്രാഹാമിന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവേ, ഞാന് വന്നിരിക്കുന്ന ഈ യാത്രയെ നീ സഫലമാക്കി എങ്കില്--

42. 'So I came to the well today. I said, 'O Lord, the God of my boss Abraham, may all go well during my visit here.

43. ഇതാ, ഞാന് കിണറ്റിന്നരികെ നിലക്കുന്നു; വെള്ളം കോരുവാന് ഒരു കന്യക വരികയും ഞാന് അവളോടുനിന്റെ പാത്രത്തിലെ വെള്ളം കുറെ എനിക്കു കുടിപ്പാന് തരിക എന്നു പറയുമ്പോള്, അവള് എന്നോടുകുടിക്ക,

43. See, I am standing by the well of water. If I say to the girl who comes out for water, 'Let me drink a little water from your jar,'

44. and she says, 'You drink, and I will get water for your camels also,' then let her be the woman whom the Lord has chosen for my boss's son.''

45. ഞാന് ഇങ്ങനെ ഹൃദയത്തില് പറഞ്ഞു തീരുമ്മുമ്പെ ഇതാ, റിബെക്കാ തോളില് പാത്രവുമായി വന്നു കിണറ്റില് ഇറങ്ങി വെള്ളം കോരി; ഞാന് അവളോടുഎനിക്കു കുടിപ്പാന് തരേണം എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

45. Before I had finished speaking in my heart, Rebekah came out with her jar on her shoulder. She went down to the well and got water. I asked her, 'Let me drink.'

46. And she was quick to take down her jar from her shoulder. She said, 'Drink, and I will give water to your camels also.' So I drank and she gave water to the camels also.

47. ഞാന് അവളോടുനീ ആരുടെ മകള് എന്നു ചോദിച്ചതിന്നു അവള്മില്ക്കാ നാഹോറിന്നു പ്രസവിച്ച മകനായ ബെഥൂവേലിന്റെ മകള് എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു. ഞാന് അവളുടെ മൂക്കിന്നു മൂകൂത്തിയും കൈകള്ക്കു വളയും ഇട്ടു.

47. Then I asked her, 'Whose daughter are you?' She said, 'The daughter of Bethuel the son of Milcah and Nahor.' And I put the gold objects on her nose and arms.

48. ഞാന് കുനിഞ്ഞു യഹോവയെ നമസ്കരിച്ചു, എന്റെ യജമാനന്റെ സഹോദരന്റെ മകളെ അവന്റെ മകന്നായിട്ടു എടുപ്പാന് എന്നെ നേര്വ്വഴിക്കു കൊണ്ടുവന്നവനായി എന്റെ യജമാനന് അബ്രാഹാമിന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവയെ വാഴ്ത്തുകയും ചെയ്തു.

48. Then I bowed low and worshiped the Lord. I gave honor and thanks to the Lord, the God of my boss Abraham. For He had led me in the right way to take the daughter of my boss's brother for his son.

49. ആകയാല് നിങ്ങള് എന്റെ യജമാനനോടു ദയയും വിശ്വസ്തതയും കാണിക്കുമെങ്കില് എന്നോടു പറവിന് ; അല്ല എന്നു വരികില് അതും പറവിന് ; എന്നാല് ഞാന് ഇടത്തോട്ടോ വലത്തോട്ടോ തിരിഞ്ഞുകൊള്ളാം.

49. So now if you will show kindness and be true to my boss, tell me. And if not, tell me so I may know which way to turn.'

50. അപ്പോള് ലാബാനും ബെഥൂവേലുംഈ കാര്യം യഹോവയാല് വരുന്നു; നിന്നോടു ഗുണമെങ്കിലും ദോഷമെങ്കിലും പറവാന് ഞങ്ങള്ക്കു കഴികയില്ല.

50. Then Laban and Bethuel answered, 'This thing comes from the Lord. We cannot speak for or against it.

51. ഇതാ, റിബെക്കാ നിന്റെ മുമ്പാകെ ഉണ്ടല്ലോ; അവളെ കൂട്ടിക്കൊണ്ടുപോക; യഹോവ കല്പിച്ചതുപോലെ അവള് നിന്റെ യജമാനന്റെ മകന്നു ഭാര്യയാകട്ടെ എന്നു ഉത്തരം പറഞ്ഞു.

51. See, Rebekah is in front of you. Take her and go. Let her be the wife of your boss's son, as the Lord has spoken.'

52. അബ്രാഹാമിന്റെ ദാസന് അവരുടെ വാക്കു കേട്ടപ്പോള് യഹോവയെ സാഷ്ടാംഗം നമസ്കരിച്ചു.

52. When Abraham's servant heard their words, he put his face to the ground before the Lord.

53. പിന്നെ ദാസന് വെള്ളിയാഭരണങ്ങളും പൊന്നാഭരണങ്ങളും വസ്ത്രങ്ങളും എടുത്തു റിബെക്കെക്കു കൊടുത്തു; അവളുടെ സഹോദരന്നും അമ്മെക്കും വിശേഷവസ്തുക്കള് കൊടുത്തു.

53. He brought out things made of silver and gold, and clothes, and gave them to Rebekah. He gave things of much worth to her brother and mother also.

54. അവനും കൂടെയുള്ളവരും ഭക്ഷിച്ചു പാനം ചെയ്തു രാപാര്ത്തു. രാവിലെ അവര് എഴുന്നേറ്റശേഷം അവന് എന്റെ യജമാനന്റെ അടുക്കല് എന്നെ അയക്കേണമെന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

54. Then he and the men with him ate and drank and stayed the night there. When they got up in the morning, he said, 'Send me away to my boss.'

55. അതിന്നു അവളുടെ സഹോദരനും അമ്മയുംബാല ഒരു പത്തുദിവസമെങ്കിലും ഞങ്ങളോടുകൂടെ പാര്ത്തിട്ടു പിന്നെ പോരട്ടെ എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

55. But her brother and her mother said, 'Let the girl stay with us a few days, at least ten. Then she may go.'

56. അവന് അവരോടുഎന്നെ താമസിപ്പിക്കരുതേ; യഹോവ എന്റെ യാത്ര സഫലമാക്കിയിരിക്കുന്നുവല്ലോ; യജമാനന്റെ അടുക്കല് പോകുവാന് എന്നെ പറഞ്ഞയക്കേണം എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

56. But he said to them, 'Do not make me stay any more days, since the Lord has made my way go well. Send me away so I may go to my boss.'

57. ഞങ്ങള് ബാലയെ വിളിച്ചു അവളോടു ചോദിക്കട്ടെ എന്നു അവര് പറഞ്ഞു.

57. They said, 'We will call the girl and ask her what she wants to do.'

58. അവര് റിബെക്കയെ വിളിച്ചു അവളോടുനീ ഈ പുരുഷനോടുകൂടെ പോകുന്നുവോ എന്നു ചോദിച്ചു. ഞാന് പോകുന്നു എന്നു അവള് പറഞ്ഞു.

58. They called Rebekah and asked her, 'Will you go with this man?' And she said, 'I will go.'

59. അങ്ങനെ അവര് തങ്ങളുടെ സഹോദരിയായ റിബെക്കയെയും അവളുടെ ധാത്രിയെയും അബ്രാഹാമിന്റെ ദാസനെയും അവന്റെ ആളുകളെയും പറഞ്ഞയച്ചു.

59. So they sent away their sister Rebekah and her nurse. They went with Abraham's servant and the men who were with him.

60. അവര് റിബെക്കയെ അനുഗ്രഹിച്ചു അവളോടുസഹോദരീ, നീ അനേകായിരമായി തീരുക; നിന്റെ സന്തതി, തന്നെ ദ്വേഷിക്കുന്നവരുടെ പടിവാതില് കൈവശമാക്കട്ടെ എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

60. They prayed that good would come to Rebekah, and said to her, 'You are our sister. May you become the mother of millions. May your children and all their children's children after them take over the cities of those who hate them.'

61. പിന്നെ റിബെക്കയും അവളുടെ ദാസിമാരും എഴുന്നേറ്റു ഒട്ടകപ്പുറത്തു കയറി ആ പുരുഷനോടുകൂടെ പോയി; അങ്ങനെ ദാസന് റിബെക്കയെ കൂട്ടിക്കൊണ്ടുപോയി.

61. Then Rebekah and her servants got up on the camels and followed the man. So the servant of Abraham took Rebekah and left.

62. എന്നാല് യിസ്ഹാക് ബേര്ലഹയിരോയീവരെ വന്നു; അവന് തെക്കേദേശത്തു പാര്ക്കയായിരുന്നു.

62. Now Isaac had come from Beerlahairoi, and was living in the Negev.

63. വൈകുന്നേരത്തു യിസ്ഹാക് ധ്യാനിപ്പാന് വെളിന് പ്രദേശത്തു പോയിരുന്നു; അവന് തലപൊക്കി നോക്കി ഒട്ടകങ്ങള് വരുന്നതു കണ്ടു.

63. Isaac had gone out to pray in the field in the evening. He looked up and saw that camels were coming.

64. റിബെക്കയും തലപൊക്കി യിസ്ഹാക്കിനെ കണ്ടിട്ടു ഒട്ടകപ്പുറത്തുനിന്നു ഇറങ്ങി.

64. And Rebekah looked up and saw Isaac. She got off the camel

65. അവള് ദാസനോടുവെളിന് പ്രദേശത്തു നമ്മെ എതിരേറ്റു വരുന്ന പുരുഷന് ആരെന്നു ചോദിച്ചതിന്നു എന്റെ യജമാനന് തന്നേ എന്നു ദാസന് പറഞ്ഞു. അപ്പോള് അവള് ഒരു മൂടുപടം എടുത്തു തന്നെ മൂടി.

65. and said to Abraham's servant, 'Who is that man walking in the field to meet us?' Abraham's servant said, 'He is my boss.' So she took a cloth and covered her face.

66. താന് ചെയ്ത കാര്യം ഒക്കെയും ദാസന് യിസ്ഹാക്കിനോടു വിവരിച്ചു പറഞ്ഞു.

66. The servant told Isaac all the things he had done.

67. യിസ്ഹാക് അവളെ തന്റെ അമ്മയായ സാറയുടെ കൂടാരത്തില് കൊണ്ടു പോയി. അവന് റിബെക്കയെ പരിഗ്രഹിച്ചു അവള് അവന്നു ഭാര്യയായിത്തീര്ന്നു; അവന്നു അവളില് സ്നേഹമായി. ഇങ്ങനെ യിസ്ഹാക്കിന്നു തന്റെ അമ്മയുടെ മരണദുഃഖം തീര്ന്നു.

67. Then Isaac brought Rebekah into his mother Sarah's tent, and she became his wife. And he loved her. So Isaac found comfort after his mother's death.
