1. ഇങ്ങനെ അവര് ദൈവത്തിന്റെ പെട്ടകം കൊണ്ടുവന്നു ദാവീദ് അതിന്നായിട്ടു അടിച്ചിരുന്ന കൂടാരത്തിന്നകത്തു വെച്ചു; പിന്നെ അവര് ദൈവത്തിന്റെ സന്നിധിയില് ഹോമയാഗങ്ങളും സമാധാനയാഗങ്ങളും കഴിച്ചു.

1. They brought the special box of God, and put it inside the tent David had set up for it. Then they gave burnt gifts and peace gifts to God.

2. ദാവീദ് ഹോമയാഗവും സമാധാനയാഗങ്ങളും കഴിച്ചുതീര്ന്നശേഷം ജനത്തെ യഹോവയുടെ നാമത്തില് അനുഗ്രഹിച്ചു.

2. When David finished giving the burnt gifts and peace gifts, he prayed in the name of the Lord that good would come to the people.

3. അവന് യിസ്രായേലില് ഔരോ പുരുഷന്നും സ്ത്രീക്കും ആളൊന്നിന്നു ഒരു അപ്പവും ഒരു ഖണ്ഡം ഇറച്ചിയും ഒരു മുന്തിരിങ്ങാക്കട്ടവീതം വിഭാഗിച്ചുകൊടുത്തു.

3. He gave to every man and woman in Israel a loaf of bread, a share of meat, and a loaf of dried grapes.

4. അവന് യഹോവയുടെ പെട്ടകത്തിന്റെ മുമ്പില് യിസ്രായേലിന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവേക്കു കീര്ത്തനവും വന്ദനവും സ്തോത്രവും ചെയ്വാന് ലേവ്യരില്നിന്നു ശുശ്രൂഷകന്മാരെ നിയമിച്ചു.

4. David chose some of the Levites to do the work in front of the special box of the Lord. They were to be glad and thank and praise the Lord God of Israel.

5. ആസാഫ് തലവന് ; രണ്ടാമന് സെഖര്യ്യാവു; പിന്നെ യെയീയേല്, ശെമീരാമോത്ത്, യെഹീയേല്, മത്ഥിഥ്യാവു, എലീയാബ്, ബെനായാവു, ഔബേദ്-എദോം, യെയീയേല് എന്നിവര് വീണയും കിന്നരവും വായിച്ചു; ആസാഫ് കൈത്താളം കൊട്ടി.

5. Asaph was the leader, then Zechariah, Jeiel, Shemiramoth, Jehiel, Mattithiah, Eliab, Benaiah, Obededom, and Jeiel. They were to play harps. And Asaph played loud-sounding timbrels.

6. പുരോഹിതന്മാരായ ബെനായാവും യെഹസീയേലും ദൈവത്തിന്റെ നിയമപെട്ടകത്തിന്റെ മുമ്പില് നിരന്തരം കാഹളം ഊതി.

6. The religious leaders Benaiah and Jahaziel sounded the horns all the time in front of the special box with the Law of God.

7. അന്നു, ആ ദിവസം തന്നേ, ദാവീദ് ആസാഫും അവന്റെ സഹോദരന്മാരും മുഖാന്തരം യഹോവേക്കു സ്തോത്രം ചെയ്യേണ്ടതിന്നു ആദ്യം നിയമിച്ചതെന്തെന്നാല്

7. Then on that day David first called upon Asaph and his brothers to give thanks to the Lord.

8. യഹോവേക്കു സ്തോത്രം ചെയ്തു; അവന്റെ നാമത്തെ ആരാധിപ്പിന് ; ജാതികളുടെ ഇടയില് അവന്റെ പ്രവൃത്തികളെ അറിയിപ്പിന് ;

8. O give thanks to the Lord. Call upon His name. Let the people know what He has done.

9. അവന്നു പാടി കീര്ത്തനം ചെയ്വിന് ; അവന്റെ അത്ഭുതങ്ങളെ ഒക്കെയും വര്ണ്ണിപ്പിന് .

9. Sing to Him. Sing praises to Him. Tell of all His great works.

10. അവന്റെ വിശുദ്ധനാമത്തില് പുകഴുവിന് ; യഹോവയെ അന്വേഷിക്കുന്നവരുടെ ഹൃദയം സന്തോഷിക്കട്ടെ.

10. Have joy in His holy name. Let the heart of those who look to the Lord be glad.

11. യഹോവയെയും അവന്റെ ശക്തിയെയും തേടുവിന് ; അവന്റെ മുഖം നിരന്തരം അന്വേഷിപ്പിന് .

11. Look to the Lord and ask for His strength. Look to Him all the time.

12. അവന്റെ ദാസനായ യിസ്രായേലിന്റെ സന്താനമേ, അവന്റെ വൃതന്മാരായ യാക്കോബ് പുത്രന്മാരേ,

12. Remember His great works which He has done. Remember the special things He has done and how He has judged,

13. അവന് ചെയ്ത അത്ഭുതങ്ങളും അരുളിച്ചെയ്ത അടയാളങ്ങളും വിധികളും ഔര്ത്തുകൊള്വിന് .

13. O children of Israel His servant, sons of Jacob, His chosen ones!

14. അവനല്ലോ നമ്മുടെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവ; അവന്റെ ന്യായവിധികള് സര്വ്വഭൂമിയിലുമുണ്ടു.

14. He is the Lord our God. He is judge of all the earth.

15. അവന്റെ വചനം ആയിരം തലമുറയോളവും അവന്റെ നിയമം എന്നേക്കും ഔര്ത്തുകൊള്വിന് .

15. Remember His agreement forever, the Word which He gave to families and a thousand of their family groups to come.

16. അബ്രാഹാമോടു അവന് ചെയ്ത നിയമവും യിസ്ഹാക്കിനോടു ചെയ്ത സത്യവും തന്നേ.

16. Remember the agreement He made with Abraham, and His promise to Isaac.

17. അതിനെ അവന് യാക്കോബിന്നു ഒരു പ്രമാണമായും യിസ്രായേലിന്നൊരു ശാശ്വതനിയമമായും ഉറപ്പിച്ചു.

17. To Jacob He made it a Law to be kept, as an agreement forever to Israel.

18. ഞാന് നിനക്കു അവകാശമായി കനാന് ദേശത്തെ തരും എന്നു കല്പിച്ചു.

18. He said, 'I will give the land of Canaan to you as the share of your birth-right,'

19. നിങ്ങള് എണ്ണം കുറഞ്ഞു ചുരുക്കംപേരും അവിടെ പരദേശികളും ആയിരിക്കുമ്പോഴും

19. when they were few in number. They were very few, and strangers in the land.

20. അവര് ഒരു ജാതിയെ വിട്ടു മറ്റൊരു ജാതിയിലേക്കും ഒരു രാജ്യം വിട്ടു മറ്റൊരു വംശത്തിലേക്കും പോകുമ്പോഴും

20. They traveled from nation to nation, from the people of one king to the people of another.

21. ആരും അവരെ പീഡിപ്പിപ്പാന് അവന് സമ്മതിച്ചില്ല; അവര്നിമിത്തം രാജാക്കന്മാരെയും ശാസിച്ചതു

21. He let no man make it hard for them. He spoke strong words to kings because of them, saying,

22. എന്റെ അഭിഷിക്തന്മാരെ തൊടരുതു; എന്റെ പ്രവാചകര്ക്കും ദോഷം ചെയ്കയുമരുതു.

22. 'Do not touch My chosen ones. Do not hurt those who speak for Me.'

23. സര്വ്വഭൂവാസികളേ, യഹോവേക്കു പാടുവിന് ; നാള്ക്കുനാള് അവന്റെ രക്ഷയെ പ്രസ്താവിപ്പിന് .

23. Sing to the Lord, all the earth. Tell the good news of His saving power from day to day.

24. ജാതികളുടെ നടുവില് അവന്റെ മഹത്വവും സര്വ്വവംശങ്ങളുടെയും മദ്ധ്യേ അവന്റെ അത്ഭുതങ്ങളും കഥിപ്പിന് .

24. Tell of His greatness among the nations. Tell of His great works among all the people.

25. യഹോവ വലിയവനും അത്യന്തം സ്തുത്യനും സര്വ്വദേവന്മാരിലും അതിഭയങ്കരനുമല്ലോ.

25. For great is the Lord. He is to be given much praise. And He is to be honored with fear more than all gods.

26. ജാതികളുടെ സകലദേവന്മാരും വിഗ്രഹങ്ങള് അത്രേ; യഹോവയോ ആകാശത്തെ ചമെച്ചവന് .

26. For all the gods of the people are false gods. But the Lord made the heavens.

27. യശസ്സും തേജസ്സും അവന്റെ സന്നിധിയിലും ബലവും ആനന്ദവും അവന്റെ വാസസ്ഥലത്തിലും ഉണ്ടു.

27. Honor and great power are with Him. Strength and joy are in His place.

28. ജാതികളുടെ കുലങ്ങളേ, യഹോവേക്കു കൊടുപ്പിന് ;

28. Praise the Lord, O families of the people. Praise the Lord for His greatness and strength.

29. യഹോവേക്കു അവന്റെ നാമത്തിന്റെ മഹത്വം കൊടുപ്പിന് ; കാഴ്ചയുമായി അവന്റെ സന്നിധിയില് ചെല്ലുവിന് ; വിശുദ്ധഭൂഷണം ധരിച്ചുകൊണ്ടു യഹോവയെ നമസ്കരിപ്പിന് .

29. Praise the Lord for the greatness of His name. Bring a gift and come to Him. Worship the Lord clothed in His holiness.

30. സര്വ്വഭൂമിയേ, അവന്റെ സന്നിധിയില് നടുങ്ങുക; ഭൂതലം കുലങ്ങാതവണ്ണം സ്ഥാപിതമാകുന്നു.

30. Shake with fear before Him, all the earth. Yes, the world is made to last. It will not be moved.

31. സ്വര്ഗ്ഗം ആനന്ദിക്കട്ടെ; ഭൂമി ഉല്ലസിക്കട്ടെ; യഹോവ വാഴുന്നു എന്നു ജാതികളുടെ മദ്ധ്യേ ഘോഷിക്കട്ടെ.

31. Let the heavens be glad. Let the earth be filled with joy. And let them say among the nations, 'The Lord rules!'

32. സമുദ്രവും അതിന്റെ പൂര്ണ്ണതയും മുഴങ്ങട്ടെ. വയലും അതിലുള്ളതൊക്കെയും ആഹ്ളാദിക്കട്ടെ.

32. Let the sea thunder, and all that is in it. Let the field be happy, and all that is in it.

33. അന്നു വനത്തിലെ വൃക്ഷങ്ങള് യഹോവയുടെ മുമ്പില് ആര്ക്കും; അവന് ഭൂമിയെ വിധിപ്പാന് വരുന്നുവല്ലോ.

33. Then the trees of the woods will sing for joy before the Lord. For He is coming to judge the earth.

34. യഹോവേക്കു സ്തോത്രം ചെയ്വിന് ; അവന് നല്ലവനല്ലോ; അവന്റെ ദയ എന്നേക്കുമുള്ളതു.

34. O give thanks to the Lord, for He is good. His loving-kindness lasts forever.

35. ഞങ്ങളുടെ രക്ഷയായ ദൈവമേ, ഞങ്ങളെ രക്ഷിക്കേണമേ; തിരുനാമത്തെ വാഴ്ത്തി നിന്റെ സ്തുതിയില് പുകഴുവാന് ജാതികളുടെ ഇടയില്നിന്നു വിടുവിച്ചു ശേഖരിക്കേണമേ എന്നു പറവിന് .

35. Then say, 'Set us free, O God Who saves us. Gather and save us from among the nations, to give thanks to Your holy name, and have joy in Your praise.

36. യിസ്രായേലിന് ദൈവമായ യഹോവ എന്നും എന്നേക്കും വാഴ്ത്തപ്പെട്ടവന് . സകലജനവും ആമേന് എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു യഹോവയെ സ്തുതിച്ചു.

36. Honor be to the Lord, the God of Israel forever and ever.' ' Then all the people said, 'Let it be so!' and they praised the Lord.

37. ഇങ്ങനെ പെട്ടകത്തിന്റെ മുമ്പില് ദിവസംപ്രതിയുള്ള വേലയുടെ ആവശ്യംപോലെ നിത്യം ശുശ്രൂഷിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു ആസാഫിനെയും അവന്റെ സഹോദരന്മാരെയും

37. So David left Asaph and his brothers there in front of the special box with the Law of the Lord. He left them there to do the work in front of the special box always. They were to do whatever work needed to be done each day.

38. ഒബേദ്-എദോമിനെയും അവരുടെ സഹോദരന്മാരായ അറുപത്തെട്ടുപേരെയും യഹോവയുടെ പെട്ടകത്തിന്മുമ്പിലും യെദൂഥൂന്റെ മകനായ ഔബേദ്-എദോമിനെയും ഹോസയെയും വാതില്കാവല്ക്കാരായും നിര്ത്തി.

38. He left Obed-edom there with his sixty-eight brothers. Obededom, the son of Jeduthun, and Hosah were to watch the gate.

39. പുരോഹിതനായ സാദോക്കിനെയും അവന്റെ സഹോദരന്മാരായ പുരോഹിതന്മാരെയും ഗിബെയോനിലെ പൂജാഗിരിയില് യഹോവയുടെ തിരുനിവാസത്തിന്മുമ്പില് യഹോവ യിസ്രായേലിനോടു കല്പിച്ചിട്ടുള്ള

39. David left Zadok and his brothers who were the religious leaders in front of the meeting tent of the Lord in the high place at Gibeon.

40. അവന്റെ ന്യായപ്രമാണത്തില് എഴുതിയിരിക്കുന്ന പ്രകാരമൊക്കെയും രാവിലെയും വൈകുന്നേരവും നിത്യം ഹോമപീഠത്തിന്മേല് യഹോവേക്കു

40. They were to give burnt gifts to the Lord on the altar of burnt gifts all the time, morning and evening. They were to do all that is written in the Law of the Lord which He told Israel.

41. ഹോമയാഗം കഴിപ്പാനും അവരോടുകൂടെ ഹേമാന് , യെദൂഥൂന് മുതലായി പേര്വിവരം പറഞ്ഞിരിക്കുന്ന ശ്രേഷ്ഠന്മാരെയും അവന്റെ ദയ എന്നേക്കുമുള്ളതു എന്നിങ്ങനെ യഹോവേക്കു സ്തോത്രം ചെയ്വാനും നിയമിച്ചു.

41. With them were Heman, Jeduthun, and the rest who were chosen by name. They were to give thanks to the Lord, because His loving-kindness lasts forever.

42. അവരോടുകൂടെ ഹേമാനെയും യെദൂഥൂനെയും കാഹളം, കൈത്താളം എന്നിങ്ങനെ ദിവ്യസംഗീതത്തിന്നായുള്ള വാദ്യങ്ങളെ ധ്വനിപ്പിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു നിയമിച്ചു; യെദൂഥൂന്റെ പുത്രന്മാര് വാതില്കാവല്ക്കാര് ആയിരുന്നു;

42. Heman and Jeduthun had horns and timbrels for making sounds of joy as the songs of God were sung. The sons of Jeduthun were to watch the gate.

43. പിന്നെ സര്വ്വജനവും ഔരോരുത്തന് താന്താന്റെ വീട്ടിലേക്കു പോയി; ദാവീദും തന്റെ കുടുംബത്തെ അനുഗ്രഹിപ്പാന് മടങ്ങിപ്പോയി.

43. Then all the people left. Each one went home. And David returned to bring good to those of his house.
