1. ഇങ്ങനെ അവര് ദൈവത്തിന്റെ പെട്ടകം കൊണ്ടുവന്നു ദാവീദ് അതിന്നായിട്ടു അടിച്ചിരുന്ന കൂടാരത്തിന്നകത്തു വെച്ചു; പിന്നെ അവര് ദൈവത്തിന്റെ സന്നിധിയില് ഹോമയാഗങ്ങളും സമാധാനയാഗങ്ങളും കഴിച്ചു.

1. So they brought in the ark of God, and placed it in the midst of the tent, which David had pitched for it, and they brought near ascending-sacrifices and peace-offerings, before God.

2. ദാവീദ് ഹോമയാഗവും സമാധാനയാഗങ്ങളും കഴിച്ചുതീര്ന്നശേഷം ജനത്തെ യഹോവയുടെ നാമത്തില് അനുഗ്രഹിച്ചു.

2. And, when David had made an end of offering the ascending-sacrifices, and the peace-offerings, he blessed the people, in the name of Yahweh.

3. അവന് യിസ്രായേലില് ഔരോ പുരുഷന്നും സ്ത്രീക്കും ആളൊന്നിന്നു ഒരു അപ്പവും ഒരു ഖണ്ഡം ഇറച്ചിയും ഒരു മുന്തിരിങ്ങാക്കട്ടവീതം വിഭാഗിച്ചുകൊടുത്തു.

3. And he apportioned, to every one of Israel, both man and woman, to every one, a loaf of bread, and a sweet drink, and a raisin cake.

4. അവന് യഹോവയുടെ പെട്ടകത്തിന്റെ മുമ്പില് യിസ്രായേലിന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവേക്കു കീര്ത്തനവും വന്ദനവും സ്തോത്രവും ചെയ്വാന് ലേവ്യരില്നിന്നു ശുശ്രൂഷകന്മാരെ നിയമിച്ചു.

4. And he placed before the ark of Yahweh certain of the Levites, as attendants, and to celebrate, and to give thanks and render praise, unto Yahweh, God of Israel;

5. ആസാഫ് തലവന് ; രണ്ടാമന് സെഖര്യ്യാവു; പിന്നെ യെയീയേല്, ശെമീരാമോത്ത്, യെഹീയേല്, മത്ഥിഥ്യാവു, എലീയാബ്, ബെനായാവു, ഔബേദ്-എദോം, യെയീയേല് എന്നിവര് വീണയും കിന്നരവും വായിച്ചു; ആസാഫ് കൈത്താളം കൊട്ടി.

5. Asaph the chief, and, second to him, Zechariah, Jeiel, and Shemiramoth, and Jehiel, and Mattithiah, and Eliab, and Benaiah, and Obed-edom, and Jeiel, with instruments of harps, and with lyres, and Asaph with cymbals, sounding aloud:

6. പുരോഹിതന്മാരായ ബെനായാവും യെഹസീയേലും ദൈവത്തിന്റെ നിയമപെട്ടകത്തിന്റെ മുമ്പില് നിരന്തരം കാഹളം ഊതി.

6. and Benaiah and Jahaziel, the priests, with trumpets continually, before the ark of the covenant of God.

7. അന്നു, ആ ദിവസം തന്നേ, ദാവീദ് ആസാഫും അവന്റെ സഹോദരന്മാരും മുഖാന്തരം യഹോവേക്കു സ്തോത്രം ചെയ്യേണ്ടതിന്നു ആദ്യം നിയമിച്ചതെന്തെന്നാല്

7. On that day, then, David gave these songs in chief, to give thanks unto Yahweh, through Asaph, and his brethren:

8. യഹോവേക്കു സ്തോത്രം ചെയ്തു; അവന്റെ നാമത്തെ ആരാധിപ്പിന് ; ജാതികളുടെ ഇടയില് അവന്റെ പ്രവൃത്തികളെ അറിയിപ്പിന് ;

8. Give ye thanks to Yahweh, Call upon his name, Make known among the peoples, his doings;

9. അവന്നു പാടി കീര്ത്തനം ചെയ്വിന് ; അവന്റെ അത്ഭുതങ്ങളെ ഒക്കെയും വര്ണ്ണിപ്പിന് .

9. Sing ye to him, Make music unto him, Speak ye of all his wonders.

10. അവന്റെ വിശുദ്ധനാമത്തില് പുകഴുവിന് ; യഹോവയെ അന്വേഷിക്കുന്നവരുടെ ഹൃദയം സന്തോഷിക്കട്ടെ.

10. Boast yourselves in his holy name, Joyful be the heart of them who are seeking Yahweh.

11. യഹോവയെയും അവന്റെ ശക്തിയെയും തേടുവിന് ; അവന്റെ മുഖം നിരന്തരം അന്വേഷിപ്പിന് .

11. Search out Yahweh, and his power, Seek diligently his face, at all times.

12. അവന്റെ ദാസനായ യിസ്രായേലിന്റെ സന്താനമേ, അവന്റെ വൃതന്മാരായ യാക്കോബ് പുത്രന്മാരേ,

12. Remember his wonders which he hath done, His splendid deeds, and the just decisions of his mouth.

13. അവന് ചെയ്ത അത്ഭുതങ്ങളും അരുളിച്ചെയ്ത അടയാളങ്ങളും വിധികളും ഔര്ത്തുകൊള്വിന് .

13. O ye seed of Israel his servant, sons of Jacob his chosen ones:

14. അവനല്ലോ നമ്മുടെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവ; അവന്റെ ന്യായവിധികള് സര്വ്വഭൂമിയിലുമുണ്ടു.

14. Yahweh himself, is our God, through all the land, are his just decisions.

15. അവന്റെ വചനം ആയിരം തലമുറയോളവും അവന്റെ നിയമം എന്നേക്കും ഔര്ത്തുകൊള്വിന് .

15. Remember yea to times age-abiding, his covenant, the word he hath commanded, to a thousand generations;

16. അബ്രാഹാമോടു അവന് ചെയ്ത നിയമവും യിസ്ഹാക്കിനോടു ചെയ്ത സത്യവും തന്നേ.

16. Which he solemnised with Abraham, and his oath, to Isaac;

17. അതിനെ അവന് യാക്കോബിന്നു ഒരു പ്രമാണമായും യിസ്രായേലിന്നൊരു ശാശ്വതനിയമമായും ഉറപ്പിച്ചു.

17. And confirmed it, unto Jacob, for a statute, unto Israel, as a covenant age-abiding:

18. ഞാന് നിനക്കു അവകാശമായി കനാന് ദേശത്തെ തരും എന്നു കല്പിച്ചു.

18. Saying, To thee, will I give the land of Canaan, as your inherited portion:

19. നിങ്ങള് എണ്ണം കുറഞ്ഞു ചുരുക്കംപേരും അവിടെ പരദേശികളും ആയിരിക്കുമ്പോഴും

19. While, as yet, ye were men who could be counted, a very few, and sojourners therein:

20. അവര് ഒരു ജാതിയെ വിട്ടു മറ്റൊരു ജാതിയിലേക്കും ഒരു രാജ്യം വിട്ടു മറ്റൊരു വംശത്തിലേക്കും പോകുമ്പോഴും

20. And they wandered from nation to nation, and from one kingdom, to another people:

21. ആരും അവരെ പീഡിപ്പിപ്പാന് അവന് സമ്മതിച്ചില്ല; അവര്നിമിത്തം രാജാക്കന്മാരെയും ശാസിച്ചതു

21. He suffered no man to oppress them, And reproved for their sakes kings!

22. എന്റെ അഭിഷിക്തന്മാരെ തൊടരുതു; എന്റെ പ്രവാചകര്ക്കും ദോഷം ചെയ്കയുമരുതു.

22. Ye may not touch mine Anointed ones, And, to my Prophets, may ye do no wrong.

23. സര്വ്വഭൂവാസികളേ, യഹോവേക്കു പാടുവിന് ; നാള്ക്കുനാള് അവന്റെ രക്ഷയെ പ്രസ്താവിപ്പിന് .

23. Sing to Yahweh, all the earth, Tell the tidings, from day to day, of his salvation:

24. ജാതികളുടെ നടുവില് അവന്റെ മഹത്വവും സര്വ്വവംശങ്ങളുടെയും മദ്ധ്യേ അവന്റെ അത്ഭുതങ്ങളും കഥിപ്പിന് .

24. Recount, among the nations, his glory, among all the peoples, his wonders.

25. യഹോവ വലിയവനും അത്യന്തം സ്തുത്യനും സര്വ്വദേവന്മാരിലും അതിഭയങ്കരനുമല്ലോ.

25. For great is Yahweh, and worthy to be mightily praised, and to be revered is he above all gods;

26. ജാതികളുടെ സകലദേവന്മാരും വിഗ്രഹങ്ങള് അത്രേ; യഹോവയോ ആകാശത്തെ ചമെച്ചവന് .

26. For, all the gods of the peoples, are things of nought, but, Yahweh, made, the heavens.

27. യശസ്സും തേജസ്സും അവന്റെ സന്നിധിയിലും ബലവും ആനന്ദവും അവന്റെ വാസസ്ഥലത്തിലും ഉണ്ടു.

27. Praise and majesty, are before him, Strength and joy, are in his dwelling-place.

28. ജാതികളുടെ കുലങ്ങളേ, യഹോവേക്കു കൊടുപ്പിന് ;

28. Give to Yahweh, ye families of the peoples, Give to Yahweh, glory and strength:

29. യഹോവേക്കു അവന്റെ നാമത്തിന്റെ മഹത്വം കൊടുപ്പിന് ; കാഴ്ചയുമായി അവന്റെ സന്നിധിയില് ചെല്ലുവിന് ; വിശുദ്ധഭൂഷണം ധരിച്ചുകൊണ്ടു യഹോവയെ നമസ്കരിപ്പിന് .

29. Give to Yahweh, the glory of his name, Bring ye a present, and enter before him, Bow down to Yahweh, in the adornment of holiness:

30. സര്വ്വഭൂമിയേ, അവന്റെ സന്നിധിയില് നടുങ്ങുക; ഭൂതലം കുലങ്ങാതവണ്ണം സ്ഥാപിതമാകുന്നു.

30. Tremble at his presence, all the earth, But the world, shall be established, it shall not be shaken.

31. സ്വര്ഗ്ഗം ആനന്ദിക്കട്ടെ; ഭൂമി ഉല്ലസിക്കട്ടെ; യഹോവ വാഴുന്നു എന്നു ജാതികളുടെ മദ്ധ്യേ ഘോഷിക്കട്ടെ.

31. Let the heavens rejoice, and the earth exult, Let them say among the nations, Yahweh, hath become king!

32. സമുദ്രവും അതിന്റെ പൂര്ണ്ണതയും മുഴങ്ങട്ടെ. വയലും അതിലുള്ളതൊക്കെയും ആഹ്ളാദിക്കട്ടെ.

32. Let the sea roar, and the fulness thereof, Let the field leap for joy, and all that is therein:

33. അന്നു വനത്തിലെ വൃക്ഷങ്ങള് യഹോവയുടെ മുമ്പില് ആര്ക്കും; അവന് ഭൂമിയെ വിധിപ്പാന് വരുന്നുവല്ലോ.

33. Then, shall shout in triumph, the trees of the forest, before Yahweh, for he is coming, to judge the earth.

34. യഹോവേക്കു സ്തോത്രം ചെയ്വിന് ; അവന് നല്ലവനല്ലോ; അവന്റെ ദയ എന്നേക്കുമുള്ളതു.

34. Give ye thanks unto Yahweh, For he is good, For, age-abiding, is his lovingkindness.

35. ഞങ്ങളുടെ രക്ഷയായ ദൈവമേ, ഞങ്ങളെ രക്ഷിക്കേണമേ; തിരുനാമത്തെ വാഴ്ത്തി നിന്റെ സ്തുതിയില് പുകഴുവാന് ജാതികളുടെ ഇടയില്നിന്നു വിടുവിച്ചു ശേഖരിക്കേണമേ എന്നു പറവിന് .

35. And say ye, Save us, O God of our salvation, and gather us and deliver us, from among the nations, that we may give thanks unto thy holy name, that we may triumph aloud in thy praise.

36. യിസ്രായേലിന് ദൈവമായ യഹോവ എന്നും എന്നേക്കും വാഴ്ത്തപ്പെട്ടവന് . സകലജനവും ആമേന് എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു യഹോവയെ സ്തുതിച്ചു.

36. Blessed be Yahweh, God of Israel, from one age even to another age. Then said all the people, Amen, And gave praise to Yahweh.

37. ഇങ്ങനെ പെട്ടകത്തിന്റെ മുമ്പില് ദിവസംപ്രതിയുള്ള വേലയുടെ ആവശ്യംപോലെ നിത്യം ശുശ്രൂഷിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു ആസാഫിനെയും അവന്റെ സഹോദരന്മാരെയും

37. So he left there, before the ark of the covenant of Yahweh, Asaph and his brethren, to be in attendance before the ark continually, for the duty of a day on its day;

38. ഒബേദ്-എദോമിനെയും അവരുടെ സഹോദരന്മാരായ അറുപത്തെട്ടുപേരെയും യഹോവയുടെ പെട്ടകത്തിന്മുമ്പിലും യെദൂഥൂന്റെ മകനായ ഔബേദ്-എദോമിനെയും ഹോസയെയും വാതില്കാവല്ക്കാരായും നിര്ത്തി.

38. and Obed-edom with his brethren, sixty-eight, and Obed-edom son of Jedithun and Hosah to be doorkeepers;

39. പുരോഹിതനായ സാദോക്കിനെയും അവന്റെ സഹോദരന്മാരായ പുരോഹിതന്മാരെയും ഗിബെയോനിലെ പൂജാഗിരിയില് യഹോവയുടെ തിരുനിവാസത്തിന്മുമ്പില് യഹോവ യിസ്രായേലിനോടു കല്പിച്ചിട്ടുള്ള

39. and Zadok the priest, and his brethren the priests, before the habitation of Yahweh, in the high place that was in Gibeon:

40. അവന്റെ ന്യായപ്രമാണത്തില് എഴുതിയിരിക്കുന്ന പ്രകാരമൊക്കെയും രാവിലെയും വൈകുന്നേരവും നിത്യം ഹോമപീഠത്തിന്മേല് യഹോവേക്കു

40. to offer ascending-sacrifices unto Yahweh, upon the altar of ascending-sacrifice, continually, morning and evening, even according to all that is written in the law of Yahweh, which he commanded concerning Israel;

41. ഹോമയാഗം കഴിപ്പാനും അവരോടുകൂടെ ഹേമാന് , യെദൂഥൂന് മുതലായി പേര്വിവരം പറഞ്ഞിരിക്കുന്ന ശ്രേഷ്ഠന്മാരെയും അവന്റെ ദയ എന്നേക്കുമുള്ളതു എന്നിങ്ങനെ യഹോവേക്കു സ്തോത്രം ചെയ്വാനും നിയമിച്ചു.

41. and, with them, Heman and Jeduthun, and the rest of the chosen ones, who were distinguished by name, to give thanks unto Yahweh, For, age-abiding, is his lovingkindness!

42. അവരോടുകൂടെ ഹേമാനെയും യെദൂഥൂനെയും കാഹളം, കൈത്താളം എന്നിങ്ങനെ ദിവ്യസംഗീതത്തിന്നായുള്ള വാദ്യങ്ങളെ ധ്വനിപ്പിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു നിയമിച്ചു; യെദൂഥൂന്റെ പുത്രന്മാര് വാതില്കാവല്ക്കാര് ആയിരുന്നു;

42. And, with them, Heman and Jeduthun, with the trumpets, and the cymbals, for sounding aloud, and the instruments for the songs of God, and the sons of Jeduthun, for the gate.

43. പിന്നെ സര്വ്വജനവും ഔരോരുത്തന് താന്താന്റെ വീട്ടിലേക്കു പോയി; ദാവീദും തന്റെ കുടുംബത്തെ അനുഗ്രഹിപ്പാന് മടങ്ങിപ്പോയി.

43. And all the people departed, every man to his house, and David went round, to bless his own household.
