1. യിസ്രായേല്പുത്രന്മാര് ആളെണ്ണപ്രകാരം പിതൃഭവനത്തലവന്മാരും സഹസ്രാധിപന്മാരും ശതാധിപന്മാരും സംവത്സരത്തിലെ സകലമാസങ്ങളിലും മാസാന്തരം വരികയും പോകയും ചെയ്യുന്ന അതതു ക്കുറുകളുടെ ഔരോ പ്രവൃത്തിയിലും രാജാവിന്നു സേവ ചെയ്തുപോന്ന അവരുടെ പ്രമാണികളും ആകെ ഇരുപത്തിനാലായിരം പേര്.

1. Now [this is] the enumeration of the sons of Israel, the heads of fathers' [households], the commanders of thousands and of hundreds, and their officers who served the king in all the affairs of the divisions which came in and went out month by month throughout all the months of the year, each division [numbering] 24,000:

2. ഒന്നാം മാസത്തേക്കുള്ള ഒന്നാം ക്കുറിന്നു മേല്വിചാരകന് സബ്ദീയേലിന്റെ മകന് യാശോബെയാംഅവന്റെ ക്കുറില് ഇരുപത്തിനാലായിരം പേര്.

2. Jashobeam the son of Zabdiel had charge of the first division for the first month; and in his division [were] 24,000.

3. [He was] from the sons of Perez, [and was] chief of all the commanders of the army for the first month.

4. Dodai the Ahohite and his division had charge of the division for the second month, Mikloth [being] the chief officer; and in his division [were] 24,000.

5. The third commander of the army for the third month [was] Benaiah, the son of Jehoiada the priest, [as] chief; and in his division [were] 24,000.

6. മുപ്പതു പേരില് വീരനും മുപ്പതുപേര്ക്കും തലവനുമായ ബെനായാവു ഇവന് തന്നേ; അവന്റെ ക്കുറിന്നു അവന്റെ മകനായ അമ്മീസാബാദ് പ്രമാണിയായിരുന്നു.

6. This Benaiah [was] the mighty man of the thirty, and had charge of thirty; and over his division was Ammizabad his son.

7. നാലാം മാസത്തേക്കുള്ള നാലാമത്തവന് യോവാബിന്റെ സഹോദരനായ അസാഹേലും അവന്റെശേഷം അവന്റെ മകനായ സെബദ്യാവും ആയിരുന്നു; അവന്റെ ക്കുറിലും ഇരുപത്തിനാലായിരംപേര്.

7. The fourth for the fourth month [was] Asahel the brother of Joab, and Zebadiah his son after him; and in his division [were] 24,000.

8. അഞ്ചാം മാസത്തേക്കുള്ള അഞ്ചാമത്തവന് യിസ്രാഹ്യനായ ശംഹൂത്ത്; അവന്റെ ക്കുറിലും ഇരുപത്തിനാലായിരംപേര്.

8. The fifth for the fifth month [was] the commander Shamhuth the Izrahite; and in his division [were] 24,000.

9. ആറാം മാസത്തേക്കുള്ള ആറാമത്തവന് തെക്കോവ്യനായ ഇക്കേശിന്റെ മകന് ഈരാ; അവന്റെ ക്കുറിലും ഇരുപത്തിനാലായിരംപേര്.

9. The sixth for the sixth month [was] Ira the son of Ikkesh the Tekoite; and in his division [were] 24,000.

10. ഏഴാം മാസത്തേക്കുള്ള ഏഴാമത്തവന് എഫ്രയീമ്യരില് പെലോന്യനായ ഹേലെസ്; അവന്റെ ക്കുറിലും ഇരുപത്തിനാലായിരംപേര്.

10. The seventh for the seventh month [was] Helez the Pelonite of the sons of Ephraim; and in his division [were] 24,000.

11. എട്ടാം മാസത്തേക്കുള്ള എട്ടാമത്തവന് സര്ഹ്യരില് ഹൂശാത്യനായ സിബ്ബെഖായി; അവന്റെ ക്കുറിലും ഇരുപത്തിനാലായിരംപേര്.

11. The eighth for the eighth month [was] Sibbecai the Hushathite of the Zerahites; and in his division [were] 24,000.

12. ഒമ്പതാം മാസത്തേക്കുള്ള ഒമ്പതാമത്തവന് ബെന്യാമീന്യരില് അനാഥോഥ്യനായ അബീയേസെര്; അവന്റെ ക്കുറിലും ഇരുപത്തിനാലായിരംപേര്.

12. The ninth for the ninth month [was] Abiezer the Anathothite of the Benjamites; and in his division [were] 24,000.

13. പത്താം മാസത്തേക്കുള്ള പത്താമത്തവന് സര്ഹ്യരില് നെതോഫാത്യനായ മഹരായി; അവന്റെ ക്കുറിലും ഇരുപത്തിനാലായിരംപേര്.

13. The tenth for the tenth month [was] Maharai the Netophathite of the Zerahites; and in his division [were] 24,000.

14. പതിനൊന്നാം മാസത്തേക്കുള്ള പതിനൊന്നാമത്തവന് എഫ്രയീമിന്റെ പുത്രന്മാരില് പിരാഥോന്യനായ ബെനായാവു; അവന്റെ ക്കുറിലും ഇരുപത്തിനാലായിരംപേര്.

14. The eleventh for the eleventh month [was] Benaiah the Pirathonite of the sons of Ephraim; and in his division [were] 24,000.

15. പന്ത്രണ്ടാം മാസത്തേക്കുള്ള പന്ത്രണ്ടാമത്തവന് ഒത്നീയേലില്നിന്നുത്ഭവിച്ച നെതോഫാത്യനായ ഹെല്ദായി; അവന്റെ ക്കുറിലും ഇരുപത്തിനാലായിരംപേര്.

15. The twelfth for the twelfth month [was] Heldai the Netophathite of Othniel; and in his division [were] 24,000.

16. യിസ്രായേല്ഗോത്രങ്ങളുടെ തലവന്മാര്രൂബേന്യര്ക്കും പ്രഭു സിക്രിയുടെ മകന് എലീയേസെര്; ശിമെയോന്യര്ക്കും മയഖയുടെ മകന് ശെഫത്യാവു;

16. Now in charge of the tribes of Israel: chief officer for the Reubenites was Eliezer the son of Zichri; for the Simeonites, Shephatiah the son of Maacah;

17. ലേവ്യര്ക്കും കെമൂവേലിന്റെ മകന് ഹശബ്യാവു; അഹരോന്യര്ക്കും സാദോക്;

17. for Levi, Hashabiah the son of Kemuel; for Aaron, Zadok;

18. for Judah, Elihu, [one] of David's brothers; for Issachar, Omri the son of Michael;

19. സെബൂലൂന്നു ഔബദ്യാവിന്റെ മകന് യിശ്മയ്യാവു; നഫ്താലിക്കു അസ്രീയേലിന്റെ മകന് യെരീമോത്ത്;

19. for Zebulun, Ishmaiah the son of Obadiah; for Naphtali, Jeremoth the son of Azriel;

20. for the sons of Ephraim, Hoshea the son of Azaziah; for the half-tribe of Manasseh, Joel the son of Pedaiah;

21. ഗിലെയാദിലെ മനശ്ശെയുടെ പാതിഗോത്രത്തിന്നു സെഖര്യ്യാവിന്റെ മകന് യിദ്ദോ; ബെന്യാമീന്നു അബ്നേരിന്റെ മകന് യാസീയേല്;

21. for the half-tribe of Manasseh in Gilead, Iddo the son of Zechariah; for Benjamin, Jaasiel the son of Abner;

22. ദാന്നു യെരോഹാമിന്റെ മകന് അസരെയോല്. ഇവര് യിസ്രായേല്ഗോത്രങ്ങള്ക്കു പ്രഭുക്കന്മാര് ആയിരുന്നു.

22. for Dan, Azarel the son of Jeroham. These [were] the princes of the tribes of Israel.

23. എന്നാല് യഹോവ യിസ്രായേലിനെ ആകാശത്തിലെ നക്ഷത്രങ്ങളെപ്പോലെ വര്ദ്ധിപ്പിക്കും എന്നു അരുളിച്ചെയ്തിരുന്നതുകൊണ്ടു ദാവീദ് ഇരുപതു വയസ്സിന്നു താഴെയുള്ളവരുടെ എണ്ണം എടുത്തില്ല.

23. But David did not count those twenty years of age and under, because the LORD had said He would multiply Israel as the stars of heaven.

24. സെരൂയയുടെ മകനായ യോവാബ് എണ്ണുവാന് തുടങ്ങിയെങ്കിലും അവന് തീര്ത്തില്ല; അതു നിമിത്തം യിസ്രായേലിന്മേല് കോപം വന്നതു കൊണ്ടു ആ സംഖ്യ ദാവീദ് രാജാവിന്റെ വൃത്താന്തപുസ്തകത്തിലെ കണക്കില് ചേര്ത്തിട്ടുമില്ല.

24. Joab the son of Zeruiah had begun to count [them], but did not finish; and because of this, wrath came upon Israel, and the number was not included in the account of the chronicles of King David.

25. രാജാവിന്റെ ഭണ്ഡാരത്തിന്നു അദീയേലിന്റെ മകനായ അസ്മാവെത്ത് മേല്വിചാരകന് . നിലങ്ങളിലും പട്ടണങ്ങളിലും ഗ്രാമങ്ങളിലും കോട്ടകളിലും ഉള്ള പാണ്ടിശാലകള്ക്കു ഉസ്സീയാവിന്റെ മകന് യെഹോനാഥാന് മേല്വിചാരകന് .

25. Now Azmaveth the son of Adiel had charge of the king's storehouses. And Jonathan the son of Uzziah had charge of the storehouses in the country, in the cities, in the villages and in the towers.

26. വയലില് വേലചെയ്ത കൃഷിക്കാര്ക്കും കെലൂബിന്റെ മകന് എസ്രി മേല്വിചാരകന് .

26. Ezri the son of Chelub had charge of the agricultural workers who tilled the soil.

27. മുന്തിരിത്തോട്ടങ്ങള്ക്കു രാമാത്യനായ ശിമെയിയും മുന്തിരത്തോട്ടങ്ങളിലെ അനുഭവമായ വീഞ്ഞു സൂക്ഷിക്കുന്ന നിലവറകള്ക്കു ശിഫ്മ്യനായ സബ്ദിയും മേല്വിചാരകര്.

27. Shimei the Ramathite had charge of the vineyards; and Zabdi the Shiphmite had charge of the produce of the vineyards [stored] in the wine cellars.

28. ഒലിവുവൃക്ഷങ്ങള്ക്കും താഴ്വീതിയിലെ കാട്ടത്തികള്ക്കും ഗാദേര്യ്യനായ ബാല്ഹാനാനും എണ്ണ സൂക്ഷിച്ചുവെക്കുന്ന നിലവറകള്ക്കു യോവാശും മേല്വിചാരകര്.

28. Baal-hanan the Gederite had charge of the olive and sycamore trees in the Shephelah; and Joash had charge of the stores of oil.

29. ശാരോനില് മേയുന്ന നാല്ക്കാലികള്ക്കു ശാരോന്യനായ ശിത്രായിയും താഴ്വരയിലെ നാല്ക്കാലികള്ക്കു അദായിയുടെ മകനായ ശാഫാത്തും മേല്വിചാരകര്.

29. Shitrai the Sharonite had charge of the cattle which were grazing in Sharon; and Shaphat the son of Adlai had charge of the cattle in the valleys.

30. ഒട്ടകങ്ങള്ക്കു യിശ്മായേല്യനായ ഔബീലും കഴുതകള്ക്കു മേരോനോത്യനായ യെഹ്ദെയാവും മേല്വിചാരകര്.

30. Obil the Ishmaelite had charge of the camels; and Jehdeiah the Meronothite had charge of the donkeys.

31. ആടുകള്ക്കു ഹഗ്രീയനായ യാസീസ് മേല് വിചാരകന് ; ഇവര് എല്ലാവരും ദാവീദ് രാജാവിന്റെ വസ്തുവകകള്ക്കു അധിപതിമാരായിരുന്നു.

31. Jaziz the Hagrite had charge of the flocks. All these were overseers of the property which belonged to King David.

32. ദാവീദിന്റെ ചിറ്റപ്പനായ യോനാഥാന് ബുദ്ധിമാനായൊരു മന്ത്രിയും ശാസ്ത്രിയും ആയിരുന്നു; ഹഖ്മോനിയുടെ മകനായ യെഹീയേല് രാജകുമാരന്മാരുടെ സഹവാസി ആയിരുന്നു.

32. Also Jonathan, David's uncle, [was] a counselor, a man of understanding, and a scribe; and Jehiel the son of Hachmoni tutored the king's sons.

33. അഹീഥോഫെല് രാജമന്ത്രി; അര്ഖ്യനായ ഹൂശായി രാജമിത്രം.

33. Ahithophel [was] counselor to the king; and Hushai the Archite [was] the king's friend.

34. അഹീഥോഫെലിന്റെ ശേഷം ബെനായാവിന്റെ മകനായ യെഹോയാദയും അബ്യാഥാരും മന്ത്രികള്; രാജാവിന്റെ സേനാധിപതി യോവാബ്.

34. Jehoiada the son of Benaiah, and Abiathar succeeded Ahithophel; and Joab was the commander of the king's army.
