1. അനന്തരം ശലോമോന് യെരൂശലേമില് തന്റെ അപ്പനായ ദാവീദിന്നു യഹോവ പ്രത്യക്ഷനായ മോരീയാപര്വ്വതത്തില് യെബൂസ്യനായ ഒര്ന്നാന്റെ കളത്തിങ്കല് ദാവീദ് വട്ടംകൂട്ടിയിരുന്ന സ്ഥലത്തു യഹോവയുടെ ആലയം പണിവാന് തുടങ്ങി.

1. Then Shlomo began to build the house of the LORD at Yerushalayim on Mount Moriyah, where the LORD appeared to David his father, which he made ready in the place that David had appointed, in the threshing floor of Ornan the Yevusi.

2. തന്റെ വാഴ്ചയുടെ നാലാം ആണ്ടില് രണ്ടാം മാസം രണ്ടാം തീയ്യതിയായിരുന്നു അവന് പണിതുടങ്ങിയതു.

2. He began to build in the second day of the second month, in the fourth year of his reign.

3. ദൈവാലയം പണിയേണ്ടതിന്നു ശലോമോന് ഇട്ട അടിസ്ഥാനത്തിന്റെ പരിമാണമോമുമ്പിലത്തെ അളവിന് പ്രകാരം അതിന്റെ നീളം അറുപതുമുഴം, വീതി ഇരുപതുമുഴം.

3. Now these are the foundations which Shlomo laid for the building of the house of God. The length by cubits after the first measure was sixty cubits, and the breadth twenty cubits.

4. മുന് ഭാഗത്തുള്ള മണ്ഡപത്തിന്നു ആലയത്തിന്റെ വീതിക്കു ഒത്തവണ്ണം ഇരുപതു മുഴം നീളവും നൂറ്റിരുപതു മുഴം ഉയരവും ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നു; അതിന്റെ അകം അവന് തങ്കംകൊണ്ടു പൊതിഞ്ഞു.

4. The porch that was before the house, the length of it, according to the breadth of the house, was twenty cubits, and the height one hundred twenty; and he overlaid it within with pure gold.

5. വലിയ ആലയത്തിന്നു അവന് സരളമരംകൊണ്ടു മച്ചിട്ടു, അതിനെ തങ്കംകൊണ്ടു പൊതിഞ്ഞു, അതിന്മേല് ഈന്തപ്പനയും ലതയും കൊത്തിച്ചു.

5. The greater house he made a ceiling with fir-wood, which he overlaid with fine gold, and worked thereon palm trees and chains.

6. അവന് ഭംഗിക്കായിട്ടു ആലയത്തെ രത്നംകൊണ്ടു അലങ്കരിച്ചു; പൊന്നോ പര്വ്വയീംപൊന്നു ആയിരന്നു.

6. He garnished the house with precious stones for beauty: and the gold was gold of Parvayim.

7. അവന് ആലയവും തുലാങ്ങളും കാലുകളും ചുവരുകളും കതകുകളും പൊന്നു കൊണ്ടു പൊതിഞ്ഞു, ചുവരിന്മേല് കെരൂബുകളെയും കൊത്തിച്ചു.

7. He overlaid also the house, the beams, the thresholds, and the walls of it, and the doors of it, with gold; and engraved Keruvim on the walls.

8. അവന് അതിവിശുദ്ധമന്ദിരവും ഉണ്ടാക്കി; അതിന്റെ നീളം ആലയത്തിന്റെ വീതിക്കു ഒത്തവണ്ണം ഇരുപതു മുഴവും, വീതി ഇരുപതു മുഴവും ആയിരുന്നു; അവന് അറുനൂറു താലന്ത് തങ്കംകൊണ്ടു അതു പൊതിഞ്ഞു.

8. He made the most holy house: the length of it, according to the breadth of the house, was twenty cubits, and the breadth of it twenty cubits; and he overlaid it with fine gold, amounting to six hundred talents.

9. ആണികളുടെ തൂക്കം അമ്പതു ശേക്കെല് പൊന്നു ആയിരുന്നുമാളികമുറികളും അവന് പൊന്നുകൊണ്ടു പൊതിഞ്ഞു.

9. The weight of the nails was fifty shekels of gold. He overlaid the upper chambers with gold.

10. അതിവിശുദ്ധമന്ദിരത്തില് അവന് കൊത്തുപണിയായ രണ്ടു കെരൂബുകളെ ഉണ്ടാക്കി പൊന്നുകൊണ്ടു പൊതിഞ്ഞു.

10. In the most holy house he made two Keruvim of image work; and they overlaid them with gold.

11. കെരൂബുകളുടെ ചിറകുകളുടെ നീളം ഇരുപതു മുഴം. ഒന്നിന്റെ ഒരു ചിറകു ആലയത്തിന്റെ ചുവരോടു തൊടുന്നതായി അഞ്ചു മുഴവും മറ്റെ ചിറകു മറ്റെ കെരൂബിന്റെ ചിറകോടു തൊടുന്നതായി അഞ്ചു മുഴവും ആയിരുന്നു

11. The wings of the Keruvim were twenty cubits long: the wing of the one Keruv was five cubits, reaching to the wall of the house; and the other wing was likewise five cubits, reaching to the wing of the other Keruv.

12. മറ്റെ കെരൂബിന്റെ ഒരു ചിറകു ആലയത്തിന്റെ ചുവരോടു തൊടുന്നതായി അഞ്ചു മുഴവും മറ്റെ ചിറകു മറ്റെ കെരൂബിന്റെ ചിറകോടു തൊടുന്നതായി അഞ്ചു മുഴവും ആയിരുന്നു.

12. The wing of the other Keruv was five cubits, reaching to the wall of the house; and the other wing was five cubits also, joining to the wing of the other Keruv.

13. ഈ കെരൂബുകളുടെ ചിറകുകള് ഇരുപതു മുഴം നീളത്തില് വിടര്ന്നിരുന്നു. അവ കാല് ഊന്നിയും മുഖം അകത്തോട്ടു തിരിഞ്ഞും നിന്നിരുന്നു.

13. The wings of these Keruvim spread themselves forth twenty cubits: and they stood on their feet, and their faces were toward the house.

14. അവന് നീലനൂല്, ധൂമ്രനൂല്, ചുവപ്പുനൂല്, ചണനൂല് എന്നിവകൊണ്ടു തിരശ്ശീല ഉണ്ടാക്കി അതിന്മേല് കെരൂബുകളെയും നെയ്തുണ്ടാക്കി.

14. He made the veil of blue, and purple, and crimson, and fine linen, and worked Keruvim thereon.

15. അവന് ആലയത്തിന്റെ മുമ്പില് മുപ്പത്തഞ്ചു മുഴം ഉയരമുള്ള രണ്ടു സ്തംഭമുണ്ടാക്കി; അവയുടെ തലെക്കലുള്ള പോതികെക്കു അയ്യഞ്ചു മുഴം ഉയരമുണ്ടായിരുന്നു.

15. Also he made before the house two pillars of thirty-five cubits high, and the capital that was on the top of each of them was five cubits.

16. അന്തര്മ്മന്ദിരത്തില് ഉള്ളപോലെ മാലകളെ അവന് ഉണ്ടാക്കി സ്തംഭങ്ങളുടെ തലെക്കല് വെച്ചു; നൂറു മാതളപ്പഴവും ഉണ്ടാക്കി മാലകളില് കോര്ത്തിട്ടു.

16. He made chains in the oracle, and put them on the tops of the pillars; and he made one hundred pomegranates, and put them on the chains.

17. അവന് സ്തംഭങ്ങളെ മന്ദിരത്തിന്റെ മുമ്പില് ഒന്നു വലത്തും മറ്റേതു ഇടത്തും നിര്ത്തി; വലത്തേതിന്നു യാഖീന് എന്നും ഇടത്തേതിന്നു ബോവസ് എന്നും പേര് വിളിച്ചു.

17. He set up the pillars before the temple, one on the right hand, and the other on the left; and called the name of that on the right hand Yakhin, and the name of that on the left Bo`az.
