1. അനന്തരം ശലോമോന് യെരൂശലേമില് തന്റെ അപ്പനായ ദാവീദിന്നു യഹോവ പ്രത്യക്ഷനായ മോരീയാപര്വ്വതത്തില് യെബൂസ്യനായ ഒര്ന്നാന്റെ കളത്തിങ്കല് ദാവീദ് വട്ടംകൂട്ടിയിരുന്ന സ്ഥലത്തു യഹോവയുടെ ആലയം പണിവാന് തുടങ്ങി.

1. And Salomon began to build the house of the LORD at Jerusalem in mount Moriah, which was shewed David his father when he prepared a place in the threshing floor of Ornan the Jebusite.

2. തന്റെ വാഴ്ചയുടെ നാലാം ആണ്ടില് രണ്ടാം മാസം രണ്ടാം തീയ്യതിയായിരുന്നു അവന് പണിതുടങ്ങിയതു.

2. And he began to build the second day of the second month the fourth year of his reign.

3. ദൈവാലയം പണിയേണ്ടതിന്നു ശലോമോന് ഇട്ട അടിസ്ഥാനത്തിന്റെ പരിമാണമോമുമ്പിലത്തെ അളവിന് പ്രകാരം അതിന്റെ നീളം അറുപതുമുഴം, വീതി ഇരുപതുമുഴം.

3. And this is the foundation of Salomon in building the house of God. The length was three score cubits after the old cubit, and the breadth twenty.

4. മുന് ഭാഗത്തുള്ള മണ്ഡപത്തിന്നു ആലയത്തിന്റെ വീതിക്കു ഒത്തവണ്ണം ഇരുപതു മുഴം നീളവും നൂറ്റിരുപതു മുഴം ഉയരവും ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നു; അതിന്റെ അകം അവന് തങ്കംകൊണ്ടു പൊതിഞ്ഞു.

4. And the porch at the end was as large as the house breadth twenty cubits: and the height was an hundredth and twenty cubits. And he overlaid it on the inner side with pure gold.

5. വലിയ ആലയത്തിന്നു അവന് സരളമരംകൊണ്ടു മച്ചിട്ടു, അതിനെ തങ്കംകൊണ്ടു പൊതിഞ്ഞു, അതിന്മേല് ഈന്തപ്പനയും ലതയും കൊത്തിച്ചു.

5. And the great house he sealed with fir tree, and overlaid it with good gold, and graved thereto palm trees and chains.

6. അവന് ഭംഗിക്കായിട്ടു ആലയത്തെ രത്നംകൊണ്ടു അലങ്കരിച്ചു; പൊന്നോ പര്വ്വയീംപൊന്നു ആയിരന്നു.

6. And he paved the house with precious stone goodly. And it was gold of Pharuiam.

7. അവന് ആലയവും തുലാങ്ങളും കാലുകളും ചുവരുകളും കതകുകളും പൊന്നു കൊണ്ടു പൊതിഞ്ഞു, ചുവരിന്മേല് കെരൂബുകളെയും കൊത്തിച്ചു.

7. And he overlaid the house: both beams, posts, walls and doors with gold, and graved Cherubs upon the walls.

8. അവന് അതിവിശുദ്ധമന്ദിരവും ഉണ്ടാക്കി; അതിന്റെ നീളം ആലയത്തിന്റെ വീതിക്കു ഒത്തവണ്ണം ഇരുപതു മുഴവും, വീതി ഇരുപതു മുഴവും ആയിരുന്നു; അവന് അറുനൂറു താലന്ത് തങ്കംകൊണ്ടു അതു പൊതിഞ്ഞു.

8. And he made the house most holy, whose length was twenty cubits like to the breadth of the house, and the breadth thereof was also twenty cubits. And he overlaid it with the best gold, that drew to the sum of six hundredth talents.

9. ആണികളുടെ തൂക്കം അമ്പതു ശേക്കെല് പൊന്നു ആയിരുന്നുമാളികമുറികളും അവന് പൊന്നുകൊണ്ടു പൊതിഞ്ഞു.

9. And the weight of the nails of gold was thereto fifty sicles. And he overlaid the upper chambers with gold.

10. അതിവിശുദ്ധമന്ദിരത്തില് അവന് കൊത്തുപണിയായ രണ്ടു കെരൂബുകളെ ഉണ്ടാക്കി പൊന്നുകൊണ്ടു പൊതിഞ്ഞു.

10. And he made in the house most holy two Cherubs of Image work, and overlaid them with gold.

11. കെരൂബുകളുടെ ചിറകുകളുടെ നീളം ഇരുപതു മുഴം. ഒന്നിന്റെ ഒരു ചിറകു ആലയത്തിന്റെ ചുവരോടു തൊടുന്നതായി അഞ്ചു മുഴവും മറ്റെ ചിറകു മറ്റെ കെരൂബിന്റെ ചിറകോടു തൊടുന്നതായി അഞ്ചു മുഴവും ആയിരുന്നു

11. And the wings of the Cherubs were twenty cubits long. The one wing was five cubits and touched the wall of the house, and the other wing was likewise five cubits and touched the wing of the other Cherub.

12. മറ്റെ കെരൂബിന്റെ ഒരു ചിറകു ആലയത്തിന്റെ ചുവരോടു തൊടുന്നതായി അഞ്ചു മുഴവും മറ്റെ ചിറകു മറ്റെ കെരൂബിന്റെ ചിറകോടു തൊടുന്നതായി അഞ്ചു മുഴവും ആയിരുന്നു.

12. And the one wing of the other Cherub was five cubits, and touched the wall of the house, and the other wing was five cubits also, and raught to the wing of the other Cherub.

13. ഈ കെരൂബുകളുടെ ചിറകുകള് ഇരുപതു മുഴം നീളത്തില് വിടര്ന്നിരുന്നു. അവ കാല് ഊന്നിയും മുഖം അകത്തോട്ടു തിരിഞ്ഞും നിന്നിരുന്നു.

13. So that the wings of the said Cherubs raught twenty cubits. And they stood on their feet and looked inwards.

14. അവന് നീലനൂല്, ധൂമ്രനൂല്, ചുവപ്പുനൂല്, ചണനൂല് എന്നിവകൊണ്ടു തിരശ്ശീല ഉണ്ടാക്കി അതിന്മേല് കെരൂബുകളെയും നെയ്തുണ്ടാക്കി.

14. And he made a forehanging of Jacinct colour, of scarlet, crimson and byss: and caused the Cherubs to be bordered thereon.

15. അവന് ആലയത്തിന്റെ മുമ്പില് മുപ്പത്തഞ്ചു മുഴം ഉയരമുള്ള രണ്ടു സ്തംഭമുണ്ടാക്കി; അവയുടെ തലെക്കലുള്ള പോതികെക്കു അയ്യഞ്ചു മുഴം ഉയരമുണ്ടായിരുന്നു.

15. And he made before the house two pillars of thirty five cubits long. And the head that was above on the top of one of them was five cubits.

16. അന്തര്മ്മന്ദിരത്തില് ഉള്ളപോലെ മാലകളെ അവന് ഉണ്ടാക്കി സ്തംഭങ്ങളുടെ തലെക്കല് വെച്ചു; നൂറു മാതളപ്പഴവും ഉണ്ടാക്കി മാലകളില് കോര്ത്തിട്ടു.

16. And he made such chains as was in the quere, and put them on the heads of the pillars, and made an hundredth pomegranates and put them on the chains.

17. അവന് സ്തംഭങ്ങളെ മന്ദിരത്തിന്റെ മുമ്പില് ഒന്നു വലത്തും മറ്റേതു ഇടത്തും നിര്ത്തി; വലത്തേതിന്നു യാഖീന് എന്നും ഇടത്തേതിന്നു ബോവസ് എന്നും പേര് വിളിച്ചു.

17. And he reared up the pillars before the temple: one on the right hand and another on the left, and called the right Jachin and the left Boaz.
