1. അനന്തരം യെഹിസ്കീയാവു യിസ്രായേലിന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവേക്കു പെസഹ ആചരിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു യെരൂശലേമില് യഹോവയുടെ ആലയത്തിലേക്കു വരുവാന് എല്ലായിസ്രായേലിന്റെയും യെഹൂദയുടെയും അടുക്കല് ആളയച്ചു; എഫ്രയീമിന്നും മനശ്ശെക്കും എഴുത്തും എഴുതി. രണ്ടാം മാസത്തില് പെസഹ ആചരിക്കണമെന്നു

1. And Hezekiah sendeth unto all Israel and Judah, and also letters he hath written unto Ephraim and Manasseh, to come in to the house of Jehovah in Jerusalem, to make a passover to Jehovah, God of Israel.

2. രാജാവും അവന്റെ പ്രഭുക്കന്മാരും യെരൂശലേമിലെ സര്വ്വസഭയം നിര്ണ്ണയിച്ചിരുന്നു.

2. And the king taketh counsel, and his heads, and all the assembly in Jerusalem, to make the passover in the second month,

3. പുരോഹിതന്മാര് വേണ്ടുന്നത്രയും പേര് തങ്ങളെത്തന്നേ വിശുദ്ധീകരിക്കാതെയും ജനം യെരൂശലേമില് ഒരുമിച്ചുകൂടാതെയും ഇരുന്നതുകൊണ്ടു സമയത്തു അതു ആചരിപ്പാന് അവര്ക്കും കഴിഞ്ഞിരുന്നില്ല.

3. for they have not been able to make it at that time, for the priests have not sanctified themselves sufficiently, and the people have not been gathered to Jerusalem.

4. ആ കാര്യം രാജാവിന്നും സര്വ്വസഭെക്കും സമ്മതമായി.

4. And the thing is right in the eyes of the king, and in the eyes of all the assembly,

5. ഇങ്ങനെ അവര് യെരൂശലേമില് യിസ്രായേലിന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവേക്കു പെസഹ ആചരിപ്പാന് വരേണ്ടതിന്നു ബേര്-ശേബമുതല് ദാന് വരെ എല്ലായിസ്രായേലിന്റെ ഇടയിലും പരസ്യമാക്കേണമെന്നു ഒരു തീര്പ്പുണ്ടാക്കി. അവര് ബഹുകാലമായിട്ടു അതു വിധിപോലെ ആചരിച്ചിരുന്നില്ല.

5. and they establish the thing, to cause to pass over an intimation into all Israel, from Beer-Sheba even unto Dan, to come in to make a passover to Jehovah, God of Israel, in Jerusalem, for not for a long time had they done as it is written.

6. അങ്ങനെ ഔട്ടാളര് രാജാവിന്റെ പ്രഭുക്കന്മാരുടെയും എഴുത്തുകള് എല്ലായിസ്രായേലിന്റെയും യെഹൂദയുടെയും ഇടയില് കൊണ്ടുപോയി രാജകല്പനപ്രകാരം പറഞ്ഞതു എന്തെന്നാല്യിസ്രായേല്മക്കളേ, അബ്രാഹാമിന്റെയും യിസ്ഹാക്കിന്റെയും യാക്കോബിന്റെയും ദൈവമായ യഹോവ നിങ്ങളില് അശ്ശൂര്രാജാക്കന്മാരുടെ കയ്യില്നിന്നു തെറ്റി ഒഴിഞ്ഞ ശേഷിപ്പിന്റെ അടുക്കലേക്കു തിരിയേണ്ടതിന്നു നിങ്ങള് അവന്റെ അടുക്കലേക്കു തിരിഞ്ഞുകൊള്വിന് .

6. And the runners go with letters from the hand of the king and his heads, into all Israel and Judah, even according to the command of the king, saying, 'O sons of Israel, turn back unto Jehovah, God of Abraham, Isaac, and Israel, and He doth turn back unto the escaped part that is left of you from the hand of the kings of Asshur;

7. തങ്ങളുടെ പിതാക്കന്മാരുടെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവയോടു അകൃത്യം ചെയ്ത നിങ്ങളുടെ പിതാക്കന്മാരെയും നിങ്ങളുടെ സഹോദരന്മാരെയും പോലെ നിങ്ങള് ആകരുതു; അവന് അവരെ നാശത്തിന്നു ഏല്പിച്ചുകളഞ്ഞതു നിങ്ങള് കാണുന്നുവല്ലോ.

7. and do not be like your fathers, and like your brethren, who trespassed against Jehovah, God of their fathers, and He giveth them to desolation, as ye do see.

8. ആകയാല് നിങ്ങളുടെ പിതാക്കന്മാരേപ്പോലെ നിങ്ങള് ദുശ്ശാഠ്യം കാണിക്കരുതു; യഹോവേക്കു നിങ്ങളെത്തന്നേ ഏല്പിച്ചുകൊള്വിന് ; അവന് സദാകാലത്തേക്കും വിശുദ്ധീകരിച്ചിരിക്കുന്ന അവന്റെ വീശുദ്ധമന്ദിരത്തിലേക്കു വന്നു നിങ്ങളുടെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവയുടെ ഉഗ്രകോപം നിങ്ങളെ വിട്ടുമാറേണ്ടതിന്നു അവനെ സേവിപ്പിന് .

8. 'Now, harden not your neck like your fathers, give a hand to Jehovah, and come in to His sanctuary, that He hath sanctified to the age, and serve Jehovah your God, and the fierceness of His anger doth turn back from you;

9. നിങ്ങള് യഹോവയിങ്കലേക്കു വീണ്ടും തിരിയുന്നു എങ്കില് നിങ്ങളുടെ സഹോദരന്മാരും പുത്രന്മാരും തങ്ങളെ ബദ്ധരാക്കി കൊണ്ടു പോയവരോടു കരുണ ലഭിച്ചു ഈ ദേശത്തിലേക്കു മടങ്ങിവരും; നിങ്ങളുടെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവ കൃപയും കരുണയും ഉള്ളവനല്ലോ; നിങ്ങള് അവന്റെ അടുക്കലേക്കു തിരിഞ്ഞു വരുന്നു എങ്കില് അവന് നിങ്ങളെ നോക്കാതവണ്ണം മുഖം തിരിച്ചുകളകയില്ല.

9. for in your turning back unto Jehovah, your brethren and your sons have mercies before their captors, even to return to this land, for gracious and merciful [is] Jehovah your God, and He doth not turn aside the face from you, if ye turn back unto Him.'

10. ആങ്ങനെ ഔട്ടാളര് എഫ്രയീമിന്റെയും മനശ്ശെയുടെയും ദേശത്തു പട്ടണംതോറും സെബൂലൂന് വരെ സഞ്ചരിച്ചു; അവരോ അവരെ പരിഹസിച്ചു നിന്ദിച്ചുകളഞ്ഞു.

10. And the runners are passing over from city to city, in the land of Ephraim and Manasseh, even unto Zebulun: and they are laughing at them, and mocking at them,

11. എങ്കിലും ആശേരിലും മനശ്ശെയിലും സെബൂലൂനിലും ചിലര് തങ്ങളെത്തന്നേ താഴ്ത്തി യെരൂശലേമിലേക്കു വന്നു.

11. only, certain from Asher, and Manasseh, and from Zebulun, have been humbled, and come in to Jerusalem.

12. യെഹൂദയിലും യഹോവയുടെ വചനപ്രകാരം രാജാവും പ്രഭുക്കന്മാരും കൊടുത്ത കല്പന അനുസരിച്ചുനടക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു അവര്ക്കും ഐകമത്യം നലകുവാന് തക്കവണ്ണം ദൈവത്തിന്റെ കൈ വ്യാപരിച്ചു.

12. Also, in Judah hath the hand of God been to give to them one heart to do the command of the king and of the heads, in the matter of Jehovah;

13. അങ്ങനെ രണ്ടാം മാസത്തില് പുളിപ്പില്ലാത്ത അപ്പത്തിന്റെ ഉത്സവം ആചരിപ്പാന് ബഹുജനം ഏറ്റവും വലിയോരു സഭയായി യെരൂശലേമില് വന്നുകൂടി.

13. and much people are gathered to Jerusalem, to make the feast of unleavened things in the second month -- a mighty assembly for multitude.

14. അവര് എഴുന്നേറ്റു യെരൂശലേമില് ഉണ്ടായിരുന്ന ബലിപീഠങ്ങളെ നീക്കിക്കളഞ്ഞു സകലധൂപകലശങ്ങളെയും എടുത്തു കിദ്രോന് തോട്ടില് എറിഞ്ഞുകളഞ്ഞു.

14. And they arise and turn aside the altars that [are] in Jerusalem, and all the perfume altars they have turned aside, and cast [them] to the brook Kidron;

15. രണ്ടാം മാസം പതിന്നാലാം തിയ്യതി അവര് പെസഹ അറുത്തു; എന്നാല് പുരോഹിതന്മാരും ലേവ്യരും ലജ്ജിച്ചു തങ്ങളെത്തന്നേ വിശുദ്ധീകരിച്ചു യഹോവയുടെ ആലയത്തില് ഹോമയാഗങ്ങളെ കൊണ്ടുവന്നു.

15. and they slaughter the passover-offering on the fourteenth of the second month, and the priests and the Levites have been ashamed, and sanctify themselves, and bring in burnt-offerings to the house of Jehovah.

16. അവര് ദൈവപുരുഷനായ മോശെയുടെ ന്യായപ്രമാണപ്രകാരം തങ്ങള്ക്കുള്ള വിധി അനുസരിച്ചു തങ്ങളുടെ സ്ഥാനത്തു നിന്നു; പുരോഹിതന്മാര് ലേവ്യരുടെ കയ്യില്നിന്നു രക്തം വാങ്ങി തളിച്ചു.

16. And they stand on their station according to their ordinance; according to the law of Moses the man of God the priests are sprinkling the blood out of the hand of the Levites,

17. തങ്ങളെത്തന്നേ വിശുദ്ധീകരിക്കാത്തവര് പലരും സഭയില് ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നു; അതുകൊണ്ടു ശുദ്ധിയില്ലാത്ത ഔരോരുത്തന്നു വേണ്ടി പെസഹ അറുത്തു യെഹോവേക്കു നിവേദിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു ലേവ്യര് ഭരമേറ്റിരുന്നു.

17. for many [are] in the assembly who have not sanctified themselves, and the Levites [are] over the slaughtering of the passover-offerings for every one not clean, to sanctify [him] to Jehovah:

18. വലിയോരു ജനസമൂഹം, എപ്രയീമില്നിന്നു മനശ്ശെയില്നിന്നും യിസ്സാഖാരില്നിന്നും സെബൂലൂനില്നിന്നും ഉള്ള അനേകര്, തങ്ങളെത്തന്നേ ശുദ്ധീകരിക്കാതെ എഴുതിയിരിക്കുന്ന വിധി വിട്ടു മറ്റൊരു പ്രകാരത്തില് പെസഹ തിന്നു. എന്നാല് യെഹിസ്കീയാവു അവര്ക്കും വേണ്ടി പ്രാര്ത്ഥിച്ചു

18. for a multitude of the people, many from Ephraim and Manasseh, Issachar, and Zebulun, have not been cleansed, but have eaten the passover otherwise than it is written; but Hezekiah prayed for them, saying, 'Jehovah, who [is] good, doth receive atonement for every one

19. വിശുദ്ധമന്ദിരത്തിന്നു ആവശ്യമായ വിശുദ്ധീകരണംപോലെ വിശുദ്ധനായില്ലെങ്കിലും ദൈവത്തെ, തന്റെ പിതാക്കന്മാരുടെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവയെത്തന്നേ അന്വേഷിപ്പാന് മനസ്സുവെക്കുന്ന എല്ലാവനോടും ദയാലുവായ യഹോവേ, ക്ഷമിക്കേണമേ എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

19. who hath prepared his heart to seek God -- Jehovah, God of his fathers -- yet not according to the cleansing of the sanctuary;'

20. യഹോവ യെഹിസ്കീയാവിന്റെ പ്രാര്ത്ഥന കേട്ടു ജനത്തെ സൌഖ്യമാക്കി.

20. and Jehovah hearkeneth unto Hezekiah, and healeth the people.

21. അങ്ങനെ യെരൂശലേമില് വന്നുകൂടിയിരുന്ന യിസ്രായേല്മക്കള് പുളിപ്പില്ലാത്ത അപ്പത്തിന്റെ ഉത്സവം ഏഴു ദിവസം മഹാസന്തോഷത്തോടെ ആചരിച്ചു; ലേവ്യരും പുരോഹിതന്മാരും ഉച്ചനാദമുള്ള വാദ്യങ്ങളാല് യഹോവേക്കു പാടി ദിവസംപ്രതിയും യഹോവയെ സ്തുതിച്ചു.

21. And the sons of Israel, those found in Jerusalem, make the feast of unleavened things seven days with great joy; and giving praise to Jehovah day by day are the Levites and the priests, with instruments of praise before Jehovah.

22. യെഹിസ്കീയാവു യഹോവയുടെ ശുശ്രൂഷയില് സാമര്ത്ഥ്യം കാണിച്ച എല്ലാലേവ്യരോടും ഹൃദ്യമായി സംസാരിച്ചു; അവര് സമാധാനയാഗങ്ങള് അര്പ്പിച്ചും തങ്ങളുടെ പിതാക്കന്മാരുടെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവയെ സ്തുതിച്ചുംകൊണ്ടു ഏഴുദിവസം ഉത്സവം ഘോഷിച്ചു ഭക്ഷണം കഴിച്ചു.

22. And Hezekiah speaketh unto the heart of all the Levites, those giving good understanding concerning Jehovah, and they eat the appointed thing seven days; sacrificing sacrifices of peace-offerings, and making confession to Jehovah, God of their fathers.

23. പിന്നെയും ഏഴു ദിവസം ഉത്സവം ആചരിപ്പാന് സര്വ്വസഭയും നിര്ണ്ണയിച്ചു. അങ്ങനെ അവര് വേറെ ഏഴു ദിവസവും സന്തോഷത്തോടെ ആചരിച്ചു.

23. And all the assembly take counsel to keep other seven days, and they keep seven days [with] joy;

24. യെഹൂദാരാജാവായ യെഹിസ്കീയാവു സഭെക്കു ആയിരം കാളയെയും ഏഴായിരം ആടിനെയും കൊടുത്തു; പ്രഭുക്കന്മാരും സഭെക്കു ആയിരം കാളയെയും പതിനായിരം ആടിനെയും കൊടുത്തു; അനേകം പുരോഹിതന്മാര് തങ്ങളെത്തന്നേ വിശുദ്ധീകരിച്ചു.

24. for Hezekiah king of Judah hath presented to the assembly a thousand bullocks, and seven thousand sheep; and the heads have presented to the assembly bullocks a thousand, and sheep ten thousand; and priests sanctify themselves in abundance.

25. യെഹൂദയുടെ സര്വ്വസഭയും പുരോഹിതന്മാരും ലേവ്യരും യിസ്രായേലില്നിന്നു വന്ന സര്വ്വസഭയും യിസ്രായേല് ദേശത്തുനിന്നു വന്നു യെഹൂദയില് പാര്ത്തിരുന്ന പരദേശികളും സന്തോഷിച്ചു.

25. And all the assembly of Judah rejoice, and the priests, and the Levites, and all the assembly, those coming in from Israel, and the sojourners, those coming in from the land of Israel, and those dwelling in Judah,

26. അങ്ങനെ യെരൂശലേമില് മഹാസന്തോഷം ഉണ്ടായി; യിസ്രായേല്രാജാവായ ദാവീദിന്റെ മകന് ശലോമോന്റെ കാലംമുതല് ഇതുപോലെ യെരൂശലേമില് സംഭവിച്ചിട്ടില്ല.

26. and there is great joy in Jerusalem; for from the days of Solomon son of David king of Israel there is not like this in Jerusalem,

27. ഒടുവില് ലേവ്യരായ പുരോഹിതന്മാര് എഴുന്നേറ്റു ജനത്തെ അനുഗ്രഹിച്ചു; അവരുടെ അപേക്ഷ കേള്ക്കപ്പെടുകയും അവരുടെ പ്രാര്ത്ഥന അവന്റെ വിശുദ്ധനിവാസമായ സ്വര്ഗ്ഗത്തില് എത്തുകയും ചെയ്തു.

27. and the priests, the Levites, rise and bless the people, and their voice is heard, and their prayer cometh in to His holy habitation, to the heavens.
