1. ഇങ്ങനെ ശലോമോന് യഹോവയുടെ ആലയത്തിന്നു വേണ്ടി ചെയ്ത പണിയൊക്കെയും തീര്ന്നു; പിന്നെ ശലോമോന് തന്റെ അപ്പനായ ദാവീദ് നിവേദിച്ചിരുന്ന വസ്തുക്കളായ വെള്ളിയും പൊന്നും ഉപകരണങ്ങള് ഒക്കെയും കൊണ്ടുവന്നു ദൈവാലയത്തിലെ ഭണ്ഡാരഗൃഹങ്ങളില് വെച്ചു.

1. After the LORD's temple was finished, Solomon put in its storage rooms everything that his father David had dedicated to the LORD, including the gold and silver, and the objects used in worship.

2. ശലോമോന് യഹോവയുടെ നിയമപെട്ടകം സീയോന് എന്ന ദാവീദിന്റെ നഗരത്തില്നിന്നു കൊണ്ടുവരുവാന് യിസ്രായേല്മൂപ്പന്മാരെയും യിസ്രായേല്മക്കളുടെ പിതൃഭവനത്തലവന്മാരായ ഗോത്രപ്രഭുക്കന്മാരെ ഒക്കെയും യെരൂശലേമില് കൂട്ടിവരുത്തി.

2. The sacred chest had been kept on Mount Zion, also known as the city of David. But Solomon decided to have the chest moved to the temple while everyone was in Jerusalem to celebrate the Festival of Shelters during the seventh month. Solomon called together all the important leaders of Israel.

4. Then the priests and the Levites picked up the sacred chest, the sacred tent, and the objects used for worship, and they carried them to the temple.

5. പെട്ടകവും സമാഗമനക്കുടാരവും കൂടാരത്തിലെ സകലവിശുദ്ധോപകരണങ്ങളും കൊണ്ടുവന്നു; പുരോഹിതന്മാരും ലേവ്യരുമത്രേ അവ കൊണ്ടുവന്നതു.

6. ശലോമോന് രാജാവും അവന്റെ അടുക്കല് കൂടിവന്നിരുന്ന യിസ്രായേല്സഭയൊക്കെയും എണ്ണുവാനും കണക്കെടുപ്പാനും കഴിയാതവണ്ണം വളരെ ആടുകളെയും കാളകളെയും പെട്ടകത്തിന്നു മുമ്പില് യാഗം കഴിച്ചു.

6. Solomon and a crowd of people walked in front of the chest, and along the way they sacrificed more sheep and cattle than could be counted.

7. പുരോഹിതന്മാര് യഹോവയുടെ നിയമപെട്ടകം അതിന്റെ സ്ഥലത്തു, ആലയത്തിലെ അന്തര്മ്മന്ദിരത്തില് അതിവിശുദ്ധസ്ഥലത്തേക്കു കെരൂബുകളുടെ ചിറകിന് കീഴെ കൊണ്ടുചെന്നു വെച്ചു.

7. The priests carried the chest into the most holy place and put it under the winged creatures,

8. കെരൂബുകള് പെട്ടകത്തിന്റെ സ്ഥലത്തിന്നു മീതെ ചിറകുവിരിച്ചു പെട്ടകത്തെയും അതിന്റെ തണ്ടുകളെയും മൂടിനിന്നു,

8. whose wings covered the chest and the poles used for carrying it.

9. തണ്ടുകള് നീണ്ടിരിക്കയാല് തണ്ടുകളുടെ അറ്റങ്ങള് അന്തര്മ്മന്ദിരത്തിന്നു മുമ്പില് പെട്ടകത്തെ കവിഞ്ഞു കാണും എങ്കിലും പുറത്തുനിന്നു കാണുകയില്ല; അവ ഇന്നുവരെ അവിടെ ഉണ്ടു.

9. The poles were so long that they could be seen from just outside the most holy place, but not from anywhere else. And they stayed there from then on.

10. യിസ്രായേല് മക്കള് മിസ്രയീമില്നിന്നു പുറപ്പെട്ടശേഷം യഹോവ അവരോടു നിയമം ചെയ്തപ്പോള് മോശെ ഹോരേബില്വെച്ചു പെട്ടകത്തില് വെച്ചിരുന്ന രണ്ടു കല്പലകയല്ലാതെ അതില് മറ്റൊന്നും ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നില്ല.

10. The only things kept in the chest were the two flat stones Moses had put there when the LORD made his agreement with the people of Israel at Mount Sinai, after bringing them out of Egypt.

11. പുരോഹിതന്മാര് വിശുദ്ധമന്ദിരത്തില്നിന്നു വന്നപ്പോള്--അവിടെയുണ്ടായിരുന്ന പുരോഹിതന്മാര് ക്കുറുകളുടെ ക്രമം നോക്കാതെ എല്ലാവരും തങ്ങളെ വിശുദ്ധീകരിച്ചിരുന്നു;

11. The priests of every group had gone through the ceremony to make themselves clean and acceptable to the LORD. The Levite musicians, including Asaph, Heman, Jeduthun, and their sons and relatives, were wearing robes of fine linen. They were standing on the east side of the altar, playing cymbals, small harps, and other stringed instruments. One hundred twenty priests were with these musicians, and they were blowing trumpets. They were praising the LORD by playing music and singing: 'The LORD is good, and his love never ends.' Suddenly a cloud filled the temple as the priests were leaving the holy place.

12. ആസാഫ്, ഹേമാന് , യെദൂഥൂന് എന്നിവരും അവരുടെ പുത്രന്മാരും സഹോദരന്മാരുമായി സംഗീതക്കാരായ ലേവ്യരെല്ലാവരും ചണവസ്ത്രം ധരിച്ചു കൈത്താളങ്ങളും വീണകളും കിന്നരങ്ങളും പിടിച്ചു യാഗപീഠത്തിന്നു കിഴക്കു കാഹളം ഊതിക്കൊണ്ടിരുന്ന നൂറ്റിരുപതു പുരോഹിതന്മാരോടുകൂടെ നിന്നു--

13. കാഹളക്കാരും സംഗീതക്കാരും ഒത്തൊരുമിച്ചു കാഹളങ്ങളോടും കൈത്താളങ്ങളോടും വാദിത്രങ്ങളോടും കൂടെഅവന് നല്ലവനല്ലോ അവന്റെ ദയ എന്നേക്കുമുള്ളതു എന്നു ഏകസ്വരമായി കേള്ക്കുമാറു യഹോവയെ വാഴ്ത്തി സ്തുതിച്ചു; അവര് ഉച്ചത്തില് പാടി യഹോവയെ സ്തുതിച്ചപ്പോള് യഹോവയുടെ ആലയമായ മന്ദിരത്തില് ഒരു മേഘം നിറഞ്ഞു.

14. യഹോവയുടെ തേജസ്സ് ദൈവാലയത്തില് നിറഞ്ഞിരുന്നതുകൊണ്ടു പുരോഹിതന്മാര്ക്കും മേഘം നിമിത്തം ശുശ്രൂഷ ചെയ്യേണ്ടതിന്നു നില്പാന് കഴിഞ്ഞില്ല.

14. The LORD's glory was in that cloud, and the light from it was so bright that the priests could not stay inside to do their work.
