1. അതിന്നു ഇയ്യോബ് ഉത്തരം പറഞ്ഞതെന്തെന്നാല്

1. Iob aunswered, and saide:

2. നിങ്ങള് എത്രത്തോളം എന്റെ മനസ്സു വ്യസനിപ്പിക്കയും മൊഴികളാല് എന്നെ തകര്ക്കുംകയും ചെയ്യും?

2. How long wyll ye vexe my soule, and trouble me with wordes?

3. ഇപ്പോള് പത്തു പ്രാവശ്യം നിങ്ങള് എന്നെ നിന്ദിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു; എന്നോടു കാഠിന്യം കാണിപ്പാന് നിങ്ങള്ക്കു ലജ്ജയില്ല.

3. Lo, ten times haue ye reproched me, and are not ashamed, but haue laughed me to scorne.

4. ഞാന് തെറ്റിപ്പോയതു വാസ്തവം എന്നു വരികില് എന്റെ തെറ്റു എനിക്കു തന്നേ അറിയാം.

4. Be it that I haue erred in deede, myne errour then remaineth with my selfe.

5. നിങ്ങള് സാക്ഷാല് എനിക്കു വിരോധമായി വലിപ്പം ഭാവിച്ചു എന്റെ അപമാനത്തെക്കുറിച്ചു എന്നെ ആക്ഷേപിക്കുന്നു എങ്കില്

5. But if ye wyll aduaunce your selues against me, and rebuke me for the shame that is come vpon me:

6. ദൈവം എന്നെ മറിച്ചുകളഞ്ഞു തന്റെ വലയില് എന്നെ കുടുക്കിയിരിക്കുന്നു എന്നറിവിന് .

6. Know this then, that it is God which hath ouerthrowe me, and hath compassed me with his net.

7. അയ്യോ, ബലാല്ക്കാരം എന്നു ഞാന് നിലവിളിക്കുന്നു; കേള്പ്പോരില്ല; രക്ഷെക്കായി ഞാന് മുറയിടുന്നു; ന്യായം കിട്ടുന്നതുമില്ല.

7. If I complaine of the violence that is done vnto me, I cannot be heard: and if I crye, there is no sentence geuen with me.

8. എനിക്കു കടന്നുകൂടാതവണ്ണം അവന് എന്റെ വഴി കെട്ടിയടെച്ചു, എന്റെ പാതകള് ഇരുട്ടാക്കിയിരിക്കുന്നു.

8. He hath hedged vp my way that I can not passe, and he hath set darkenesse in my pathes.

9. എന്റെ തേജസ്സു അവന് എന്റെ മേല്നിന്നു ഊരിയെടുത്തു; എന്റെ തലയിലെ കിരീടം നീക്കിക്കളഞ്ഞു.

9. He hath spoyled me of myne honour, and taken the crowne away from my head.

10. അവന് എന്നെ ചുറ്റും ക്ഷയിപ്പിച്ചു; എന്റെ കഥകഴിഞ്ഞു; ഒരു വൃക്ഷത്തെപ്പോലെ എന്റെ പ്രത്യാശയെ പറിച്ചുകളഞ്ഞിരിക്കുന്നു.

10. He hath destroyed me on euery side and I am gone: my hope hath he taken away as a tree pluckt vp by the roote.

11. അവന് തന്റെ കോപം എന്റെമേല് ജ്വലിപ്പിച്ചു എന്നെ തനിക്കു ശത്രുവായി എണ്ണുന്നു.

11. His wrath is kindled against me, he taketh me as though I were his enemie.

12. അവന്റെ പടക്കൂട്ടങ്ങള് ഒന്നിച്ചുവരുന്നു; അവര് എന്റെ നേരെ തങ്ങളുടെ വഴി നിരത്തുന്നു; എന്റെ കൂടാരത്തില് ചുറ്റും പാളയമിറങ്ങുന്നു.

12. His men of warre come together, which made their way ouer me, and besieged my dwelling rounde about.

13. അവര് എന്റെ സഹോദരന്മാരെ എന്നോടു അകറ്റിക്കളഞ്ഞു; എന്റെ പരിചയക്കാര് എനിക്കു അന്യരായിത്തീര്ന്നു.

13. He hath put my brethren farre away from me, and myne acquaintaunce are also become straungers vnto me.

14. എന്റെ ബന്ധുജനം ഒഴിഞ്ഞുമാറി; എന്റെ ഉറ്റ സ്നേഹിതന്മാര് എന്നെ മറന്നുകളഞ്ഞു.

14. Myne owne kinsefolkes haue forsaken me, and my best acquainted haue forgotten me.

15. എന്റെ വീട്ടില് പാര്ക്കുംന്നവരും എന്റെ ദാസികളും എന്നെ അന്യനായെണ്ണുന്നു; ഞാന് അവര്ക്കും പരദേശിയായ്തോന്നുന്നു.

15. The seruauntes and maydens of myne owne house toke me for a straunger, and I am become as an aliaunt in their sight.

16. ഞാന് എന്റെ ദാസനെ വിളിച്ചു; അവന് വിളി കേള്ക്കുന്നില്ല. എന്റെ വായ്കൊണ്ടു ഞാന് അവനോടു യാചിക്കേണ്ടിവരുന്നു.

16. I called my seruaunt, and he gaue me no aunswere: [no though] I prayed him with my mouth.

17. എന്റെ ശ്വാസം എന്റെ ഭാര്യകൂ അസഹ്യവും എന്റെ യാചന എന്റെ ഉടപ്പിറന്നവര്ക്കും അറെപ്പും ആയിരിക്കുന്നു.

17. Myne owne wyfe might not abyde my breath, though I prayed her for the children sake of myne owne body.

18. പിള്ളരും എന്നെ നിരസിക്കുന്നു; ഞാന് എഴുന്നേറ്റാല് അവര് എന്നെ കളിയാക്കുന്നു.

18. Yea, the young men despised me, and when I rose they spake euill vpon me.

19. എന്റെ പ്രാണസ്നേഹിതന്മാര് ഒക്കെയും എന്നെ വെറുക്കുന്നു; എനിക്കു പ്രിയരായവര് വിരോധികളായിത്തീര്ന്നു.

19. All my most familiers abhorred me: and they whom I loued best, are turned against me.

20. എന്റെ അസ്ഥി ത്വക്കിനോടും മാംസത്തോടും പറ്റിയിരിക്കുന്നു; പല്ലിന്റെ മോണയോടെ ഞാന് ശേഷിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു.

20. My bone cleaueth to my skinne and to my fleshe, onely there is left me the skinne about my teeth.

21. സ്നേഹിതന്മാരേ, എന്നോടു കൃപ തോന്നേണമേ, കൃപ തോന്നേണമേ; ദൈവത്തിന്റെ കൈ എന്നെ തൊട്ടിരിക്കുന്നു.

21. Haue pitie vpon me, haue pitie vpon me, O ye my friendes, for the hande of God hath touched me.

22. ദൈവം എന്നപോലെ നിങ്ങളും എന്നെ ഉപദ്രവിക്കുന്നതെന്തു? എന്റെ മാംസം തിന്നു തൃപ്തിവരാത്തതു എന്തു?

22. Why do ye persecute me as God [doth] and are not satisfied with my fleshe?

23. അയ്യോ എന്റെ വാക്കുകള് ഒന്നു എഴുതിയെങ്കില്, ഒരു പുസ്തകത്തില് കുറിച്ചുവെച്ചെങ്കില് കൊള്ളായിരുന്നു.

23. O that my wordes were now written, O that they were put in a booke,

24. അവയെ ഇരിമ്പാണിയും ഈയവുംകൊണ്ടു പാറയില് സദാകാലത്തേക്കു കൊത്തിവെച്ചെങ്കില് കൊള്ളായിരുന്നു.

24. And grauen with an iron penne in leade, or in stone, to continue.

25. എന്നെ വീണ്ടെടുക്കുന്നവന് ജീവിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു എന്നും അവന് ഒടുവില് പൊടിമേല് നിലക്കുമെന്നും ഞാന് അറിയുന്നു.

25. For I am sure that my redeemer saueth, and he shall rayse vp at the latter day them that lye in the dust.

26. എന്റെ ത്വക് ഇങ്ങനെ നശിച്ചശേഷം ഞാന് ദേഹരഹിതനായി ദൈവത്തെ കാണും.
യോഹന്നാൻ 19:30

26. And though after my skinne the [wormes] destroy this body, yet shall I see God in my fleshe:

27. ഞാന് തന്നേ അവനെ കാണും; അന്യനല്ല, എന്റെ സ്വന്തകണ്ണു അവനെ കാണും; എന്റെ അന്തരംഗം എന്റെ ഉള്ളില് ക്ഷയിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു.
യോഹന്നാൻ 19:30

27. Whom I my selfe shall see, and myne eyes shall beholde, and none other for me, though my raines are consumed within me.

28. നാം എങ്ങനെ അവനെ ഉപദ്രവിക്കുമെന്നും കാര്യത്തിന്റെ മൂലം എന്നില് കാണുന്നു എന്നും നിങ്ങള് പറയുന്നുവെങ്കില്

28. But ye saide, why is he persecuted? and there was a deepe matter in me.

29. വാളിനെ പേടിപ്പിന് ; ക്രോധം വാളിന്റെ ശിക്ഷെക്കു ഹേതു; ഒരു ന്യായവിധി ഉണ്ടെന്നറിഞ്ഞുകൊള്വിന് .

29. But beware of the sworde: for the sword wylbe auenged of wickednesse, and be sure that there is a iudgement.
