1. ദാവീദിന്റെ ഒരു സങ്കീര്ത്തനം

1. The prayer of the poor man, when he was anxious, and poured out his supplication before the Lord.

2. ഞാന് ദയയെയും ന്യായത്തെയും കുറിച്ചു പാടും; യഹോവേ, ഞാന് നിനക്കു കീര്ത്തനം പാടും.

2. Hear, O Lord, my prayer: and let my cry come to thee.

3. ഞാന് നിഷ്കളങ്കമാര്ഗ്ഗത്തില് ശ്രദ്ധവേക്കും; എപ്പോള് നീ എന്റെ അടുക്കല് വരും? ഞാന് എന്റെ വീട്ടില് നിഷ്കളങ്കഹൃദയത്തോടെ പെരുമാറും.

3. Turn not away thy face from me: in the day when I am in trouble, incline thy ear to me. In what day soever I shall call upon thee, hear me speedily.

4. ഞാന് ഒരു നീചകാര്യം എന്റെ കണ്ണിന്നു മുമ്പില് വെക്കുകയില്ല; ക്രമം കെട്ടവരുടെ പ്രവൃത്തിയെ ഞാന് വെറുക്കുന്നു; അതു എന്നോടു ചേര്ന്നു പറ്റുകയില്ല.

4. For my days are vanished like smoke: and my bones are grown dry like fuel for the fire.

5. വക്രഹൃദയം എന്നോടു അകന്നിരിക്കും; ദുഷ്ടതയെ ഞാന് അറികയില്ല.

5. I am smitten as grass, and my heart is withered: because I forgot to eat my bread.

6. കൂട്ടുകാരനെക്കുറിച്ചു ഏഷണി പറയുന്നവനെ ഞാന് നശിപ്പിക്കും; ഉന്നതഭാവവും നിഗളഹൃദയവും ഉള്ളവനെ ഞാന് സഹായിക്കയില്ല.

6. Through the voice of my groaning, my bone hath cleaved to my flesh.

7. ദേശത്തിലെ വിശ്വസ്തന്മാര് എന്നോടുകൂടെ വസിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു എന്റെ ദൃഷ്ടി അവരുടെമേല് ഇരിക്കുന്നു; നിഷ്കളങ്കമാര്ഗ്ഗത്തില് നടക്കുന്നവന് എന്നെ ശുശ്രൂഷിക്കും.

7. I am become like to a pelican of the wilderness: I am like a night raven in the house.

8. വഞ്ചനചെയ്യുന്നവന് എന്റെ വീട്ടില് വസിക്കയില്ല; ഭോഷകു പറയുന്നവന് എന്റെ മുമ്പില് ഉറെച്ചുനില്ക്കയില്ല.

8. I have watched, and am become as a sparrow all alone on the housetop.

9. യഹോവയുടെ നഗരത്തില്നിന്നു സകല ദുഷ്പ്രവൃത്തിക്കാരെയും ഛേദിച്ചുകളയേണ്ടതിന്നു ദേശത്തിലെ ദുഷ്ടന്മാരെ ഒക്കെയും ഞാന് രാവിലെതോറും നശിപ്പിക്കും.

9. All the day long my enemies reproached me: and they that praised me did swear against me.
