1. യഹോവേ, ഞാന് നിന്നെ ശരണം പ്രാപിക്കുന്നു; ഞാന് ഒരുനാളും ലജ്ജിച്ചുപോകരുതേ; നിന്റെ നീതിനിമിത്തം എന്നെ വിടുവിക്കേണമേ.

1. To the Chief Musician. A Psalm of David. IN YOU, O Lord, do I put my trust and seek refuge; let me never be put to shame or [have my hope in You] disappointed; deliver me in Your righteousness!

2. നിന്റെ ചെവി എങ്കലേക്കു ചായിച്ചു എന്നെ വേഗം വിടുവിക്കേണമേ. നീ എനിക്കു ഉറപ്പുള്ള പാറയായും എന്നെ രക്ഷിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു കോട്ടയായും ഇരിക്കേണമേ;

2. Bow down Your ear to me, deliver me speedily! Be my Rock of refuge, a strong Fortress to save me!

3. നീ എന്റെ പാറയും എന്റെ കോട്ടയുമല്ലോ. നിന്റെ നാമംനിമിത്തം എന്നെ നടത്തി പാലിക്കേണമേ;

3. Yes, You are my Rock and my Fortress; therefore for Your name's sake lead me and guide me.

4. അവര് എനിക്കായി ഒളിച്ചുവെച്ചിരിക്കുന്ന വലയില്നിന്നു എന്നെ വിടുവിക്കേണമേ; നീ എന്റെ ദുര്ഗ്ഗമാകുന്നുവല്ലോ.

4. Draw me out of the net that they have laid secretly for me, for You are my Strength and my Stronghold.

5. നിന്റെ കയ്യില് ഞാന് എന്റെ ആത്മാവിനെ ഭരമേല്പിക്കുന്നു; വിശ്വസ്തദൈവമായ യഹോവേ, നീ എന്നെ വീണ്ടെടുത്തിരിക്കുന്നു.

5. Into Your hands I commit my spirit; You have redeemed me, O Lord, the God of truth and faithfulness. [Luke 23:46; Acts 7:59.]

6. മിത്ഥ്യാമൂര്ത്തികളെ സേവിക്കുന്നവരെ ഞാന് പകെക്കുന്നു; ഞാനോ യഹോവയില് ആശ്രയിക്കുന്നു.

6. [You and] I abhor those who pay regard to vain idols; but I trust in, rely on, and confidently lean on the Lord.

7. ഞാന് നിന്റെ ദയയില് ആനന്ദിച്ചു സന്തോഷിക്കുന്നു; നീ എന്റെ അരിഷ്ടതയെ കണ്ടു എന്റെ പ്രാണസങ്കടങ്ങളെ അറിഞ്ഞിരിക്കുന്നു.

7. I will be glad and rejoice in Your mercy and steadfast love, because You have seen my affliction, You have taken note of my life's distresses,

8. ശത്രുവിന്റെ കയ്യില് നീ എന്നെ ഏല്പിച്ചിട്ടില്ല; എന്റെ കാലുകളെ നീ വിശാലസ്ഥലത്തു നിര്ത്തിയിരിക്കുന്നു.

8. And You have not given me into the hand of the enemy; You have set my feet in a broad place.

9. യഹോവേ, എന്നോടു കൃപയുണ്ടാകേണമേ; ഞാന് കഷ്ടത്തിലായിരിക്കുന്നു; വ്യസനംകൊണ്ടു എന്റെ കണ്ണും പ്രാണനും ഉദരവും ക്ഷയിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു.

9. Have mercy and be gracious unto me, O Lord, for I am in trouble; with grief my eye is weakened, also my inner self and my body.

10. എന്റെ ആയുസ്സു ദുഃഖംകൊണ്ടും എന്റെ സംവത്സരങ്ങള് നെടുവീര്പ്പുകൊണ്ടും കഴിഞ്ഞുപോയിരിക്കുന്നു; എന്റെ അകൃത്യംനിമിത്തം എന്റെ ബലം ക്ഷീണിച്ചും എന്റെ അസ്ഥികള് ക്ഷയിച്ചും ഇരിക്കുന്നു.

10. For my life is spent with sorrow and my years with sighing; my strength has failed because of my iniquity, and even my bones have wasted away.

11. എന്റെ സകലവൈരികളാലും ഞാന് നിന്ദിതനായിത്തീര്ന്നു; എന്റെ അയല്ക്കാര്ക്കും അതിനിന്ദിതന് തന്നേ; എന്റെ മുഖപരിചയക്കാര്ക്കും ഞാന് ഭയഹേതു വായ്ഭവിച്ചു; എന്നെ വെളിയില് കാണുന്നവര് എന്നെ വിട്ടു ഔടിപ്പോകുന്നു.

11. To all my enemies I have become a reproach, but especially to my neighbors, and a dread to my acquaintances, who flee from me on the street.

12. മരിച്ചുപോയവനെപ്പോലെ എന്നെ മറന്നുകളഞ്ഞിരിക്കുന്നു; ഞാന് ഒരു ഉടഞ്ഞ പാത്രംപോലെ ആയിരിക്കുന്നു.

12. I am forgotten like a dead man, and out of mind; like a broken vessel am I.

13. ചുറ്റും ഭീതി എന്ന അപശ്രുതി ഞാന് പലരുടെയും വായില്നിന്നു കേട്ടിരിക്കുന്നു; അവര് എനിക്കു വിരോധമായി കൂടി ആലോചനചെയ്തു, എന്റെ ജീവനെ എടുത്തുകളവാന് നിരൂപിച്ചു.

13. For I have heard the slander of many; terror is on every side! While they schemed together against me, they plotted to take my life.

14. എങ്കിലും യഹോവേ, ഞാന് നിന്നില് ആശ്രയിച്ചു; നീ എന്റെ ദൈവം എന്നു ഞാന് പറഞ്ഞു.

14. But I trusted in, relied on, and was confident in You, O Lord; I said, You are my God.

15. എന്റെ കാലഗതികള് നിന്റെ കയ്യില് ഇരിക്കുന്നു; എന്റെ ശത്രുക്കളുടെയും എന്നെ പീഡിപ്പിക്കുന്നവരുടെയും കയ്യില്നിന്നു എന്നെ വിടുവിക്കേണമേ.

15. My times are in Your hands; deliver me from the hands of my foes and those who pursue me and persecute me.

16. അടിയന്റെമേല് തിരുമുഖം പ്രകാശിപ്പിക്കേണമേ; നിന്റെ ദയയാല് എന്നെ രക്ഷിക്കേണമേ.

16. Let Your face shine on Your servant; save me for Your mercy's sake and in Your loving-kindness.

17. യഹോവേ, നിന്നെ വിളിച്ചപേക്ഷിച്ചിരിക്കകൊണ്ടു ഞാന് ലജ്ജിച്ചുപോകരുതേ; ദുഷ്ടന്മാര് ലജ്ജിച്ചു പാതാളത്തില് മൌനമായിരിക്കട്ടെ.

17. Let me not be put to shame, O Lord, or disappointed, for I am calling upon You; let the wicked be put to shame, let them be silent in Sheol (the place of the dead).

18. നീതിമാന്നു വിരോധമായി ഡംഭത്തോടും നിന്ദയോടും കൂടെ ധാര്ഷ്ട്യം സംസാരിക്കുന്ന വ്യാജമുള്ള അധരങ്ങള് മിണ്ടാതെയായ്പോകട്ടെ.

18. Let the lying lips be silenced, which speak insolently against the [consistently] righteous with pride and contempt.

19. നിന്റെ ഭക്തന്മാര്ക്കും വേണ്ടി നീ സംഗ്രഹിച്ചതും നിന്നില് ആശ്രയിക്കുന്നവര്ക്കും വേണ്ടി മനുഷ്യ പുത്രന്മാര് കാണ്കെ നീ പ്രവര്ത്തിച്ചതുമായ നിന്റെ നന്മ എത്ര വലിയതാകുന്നു.

19. Oh, how great is Your goodness, which You have laid up for those who fear, revere, and worship You, goodness which You have wrought for those who trust and take refuge in You before the sons of men!

20. നീ അവരെ മനുഷ്യരുടെ കൂട്ടുകെട്ടില്നിന്നു വിടുവിച്ചു നിന്റെ സാന്നിധ്യത്തിന്റെ മറവില് മറെക്കും. നീ അവരെ നാവുകളുടെ വക്കാണത്തില്നിന്നു രക്ഷിച്ചു ഒരു കൂടാരത്തിന്നകത്തു ഒളിപ്പിക്കും.

20. In the secret place of Your presence You hide them from the plots of men; You keep them secretly in Your pavilion from the strife of tongues.

21. യഹോവ വാഴ്ത്തപ്പെട്ടവന് ; അവന് ഉറപ്പുള്ള പട്ടണത്തില് തന്റെ ദയ എനിക്കു അത്ഭുതമായി കാണിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു.

21. Blessed be the Lord! For He has shown me His marvelous loving favor when I was beset as in a besieged city.

22. ഞാന് നിന്റെ ദൃഷ്ടിയില്നിന്നു ഛേദിക്കപ്പെട്ടുപോയി എന്നു ഞാന് എന്റെ പരിഭ്രമത്തില് പറഞ്ഞു. എങ്കിലും ഞാന് നിന്നെ വിളിച്ചപേക്ഷിച്ചപ്പോള് എന്റെ യാചനയുടെ ശബ്ദം നീ കേട്ടു.

22. As for me, I said in my haste and alarm, I am cut off from before Your eyes. But You heard the voice of my supplications when I cried to You for aid.

23. യഹോവയുടെ സകലവിശുദ്ധന്മാരുമായുള്ളോരേ, അവനെ സ്നേഹിപ്പിന് ; യഹോവ വിശ്വസ്തന്മാരെ കാക്കുന്നു; അഹങ്കാരം പ്രവര്ത്തിക്കുന്നവന്നു ധാരാളം പകരം കൊടുക്കുന്നു.

23. O love the Lord, all you His saints! The Lord preserves the faithful, and plentifully pays back him who deals haughtily.

24. യഹോവയില് പ്രത്യാശയുള്ള ഏവരുമേ, ധൈര്യപ്പെട്ടിരിപ്പിന് ; നിങ്ങളുടെ ഹൃദയം ഉറെച്ചിരിക്കട്ടെ.

24. Be strong and let your heart take courage, all you who wait for and hope for and expect the Lord!
