1. ഞാന് യഹോവെക്കായി കാത്തുകാത്തിരുന്നു; അവന് എങ്കലേക്കു ചാഞ്ഞു എന്റെ നിലവിളി കേട്ടു.

1. i1 [To the Chief Musician. A Psalm of David.] i0 par I waited patiently for Jehovah, and He inclined unto me, and heard my cry.

2. He brought me up also out of a horrible pit, out of the miry clay, and set my feet upon a rock, and secured my steps.

3. അവന് എന്റെ വായില് പുതിയോരു പാട്ടുതന്നു, നമ്മുടെ ദൈവത്തിന്നു സ്തുതി തന്നേ; പലരും അതു കണ്ടു ഭയപ്പെട്ടു യഹോവയില് ആശ്രയിക്കും.

3. And He has put a new song in my mouth, praise to our God; many shall see it and fear, and shall trust in Jehovah.

4. യഹോവയെ തന്റെ ആശ്രയമാക്കിക്കൊള്ളുകയും നിഗളികളെയും വ്യാജത്തിലേക്കു തിരിയുന്നവരെയും ആദരിക്കാതിരിക്കയും ചെയ്യുന്ന മനുഷ്യന് ഭാഗ്യവാന് .

4. Blessed is the man who makes Jehovah his trust and has not turned to the proud, nor to such as turn aside to lies.

5. എന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവേ, നീ ചെയ്ത അത്ഭുതപ്രവൃത്തികളും ഞങ്ങള്ക്കു വേണ്ടിയുള്ള നിന്റെ വിചാരങ്ങളും വളരെയാകുന്നു; നിന്നോടു സദൃശന് ആരുമില്ല; ഞാന് അവയെ വിവരിച്ചു പ്രസ്താവിക്കുമായിരുന്നു; എന്നാല് അവ എണ്ണിക്കൂടാതവണ്ണം അധികമാകുന്നു.

5. O Jehovah my God, many are the wonderful works which You have done, and Your thoughts which are toward us; they cannot be recounted to You if I were to declare and speak of them, for they are more than can be numbered.

6. Sacrifice and offering You did not desire; my ears You have opened. Burnt offering and sin offering You have not asked.

7. അപ്പോള് ഞാന് പറഞ്ഞു; ഇതാ, ഞാന് വരുന്നു; പുസ്തകച്ചുരുളില് എന്നെക്കുറിച്ചു എഴുതിയിരിക്കുന്നു;

7. Then I said, Lo, I come (in the volume of the Book it is written of Me):

8. എന്റെ ദൈവമേ, നിന്റെ ഇഷ്ടം ചെയ്വാന് ഞാന് പ്രിയപ്പെടുന്നു; നിന്റെ ന്യായപ്രമാണം എന്റെ ഉള്ളില് ഇരിക്കുന്നു.

8. I delight to do Your will, O My God, and Your Law is within My heart.

9. ഞാന് മഹാസഭയില് നീതിയെ പ്രസംഗിച്ചു; അധരങ്ങളെ ഞാന് അടക്കീട്ടില്ല; യഹോവേ, നീ അറിയുന്നു.

9. I have preached righteousness in the great assembly; lo, I have not restrained My lips, O Jehovah, You know.

10. ഞാന് നിന്റെ നീതിയെ എന്റെ ഹൃദയത്തില് മറച്ചുവെച്ചില്ല; നിന്റെ വിശ്വസ്തതയും രക്ഷയും ഞാന് പ്രസ്താവിച്ചു; നിന്റെ ദയയും സത്യവും ഞാന് മഹാസഭെക്കു മറെച്ചതുമില്ല.

10. I have not hidden Your righteousness within my heart; I have declared Your faithfulness and Your salvation; I have not hidden Your lovingkindness and Your truth from the great assembly.

11. യഹോവേ, നിന്റെ കരുണ നീ എനിക്കു അടെച്ചുകളയില്ല; നിന്റെ ദയയും സത്യവും എന്നെ നിത്യം പരിപാലിക്കും.

11. Do not withhold Your tender mercies from me, O Jehovah; let Your lovingkindness and Your truth continually keep watch over me.

12. സംഖ്യയില്ലാത്ത അനര്ത്ഥങ്ങള് എന്നെ ചുറ്റിയിരിക്കുന്നു; മേല്പെട്ടു നോക്കുവാന് കഴിയാതവണ്ണം എന്റെ അകൃത്യങ്ങള് എന്നെ എത്തിപ്പിടിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു; അവ എന്റെ തലയിലെ രോമങ്ങളിലും അധികം; ഞാന് ധൈര്യഹീനനായിത്തീര്ന്നിരിക്കുന്നു.

12. For evils without number have encompassed me; my iniquities have overtaken me, so that I am not able to look up; they are more than the hairs of my head; therefore my heart fails me.

13. യഹോവേ, എന്നെ വിടുവിപ്പാന് ഇഷ്ടം തോന്നേണമേ; യഹോവേ, എന്നെ സഹായിപ്പാന് വേഗം വരേണമേ.

13. Be pleased, O Jehovah, to deliver me; O Jehovah, make haste to help me!

14. എനിക്കു ജീവഹാനി വരുത്തുവാന് നോക്കുന്നവര് ലജ്ജിച്ചു ഭ്രമിച്ചുപോകട്ടെ; എന്റെ അനര്ത്ഥത്തില് സന്തോഷിക്കുന്നവര് പിന്തിരിഞ്ഞു അപമാനം ഏല്ക്കട്ടെ.

14. Let them be ashamed and abashed together, those who seek after my soul to destroy it; let them be driven backward and put to dishonor, those who wish me evil.

15. നന്നായി, നന്നായി എന്നു എന്നോടു പറയുന്നവര് തങ്ങളുടെ നാണംനിമിത്തം സ്തംഭിച്ചുപോകട്ടെ.

15. Let them be desolate as a consequence of their shame, those who say to me, Aha, aha!

16. നിന്നെ അന്വേഷിക്കുന്ന എല്ലാവരും നിന്നില് ആനന്ദിച്ചു സന്തോഷിക്കട്ടെ; നിന്റെ രക്ഷയെ ഇച്ഛിക്കുന്നവര് യഹോവ മഹത്വമുള്ളവന് എന്നു എപ്പോഴും പറയട്ടെ.

16. Let all those who seek You rejoice and be glad in You, and the ones who love your salvation always say, Let Jehovah be magnified.

17. ഞാനോ എളിയവനും ദരിദ്രനും ആകുന്നു; എങ്കിലും കര്ത്താവു എന്നെ വിചാരിക്കുന്നു; നീ തന്നേ എന്റെ സഹായവും എന്നെ വിടുവിക്കുന്നവനും ആകുന്നു; എന്റെ ദൈവമേ, താമസിക്കരുതേ.

17. But I am poor and needy; yet Jehovah will have regard for me. You are my help and my deliverer; O my God, do not delay.
