1. എളിയവനെ ആദരിക്കുന്നവന് ഭാഗ്യവാന് ; അനര്ത്ഥദിവസത്തില് യഹോവ അവനെ വിടുവിക്കും.

1. Blessed [is] he that understands regarding the poor; the LORD will deliver him in the day of evil.

2. യഹോവ അവനെ കാത്തു ജീവനോടെ പാലിക്കും; അവന് ഭൂമിയില് ഭാഗ്യവാനായിരിക്കും; അവന്റെ ശത്രുക്കളുടെ ഇഷ്ടത്തിന്നു നീ അവനെ ഏല്പിക്കയില്ല;

2. The LORD will preserve him and keep him alive, [and] he shall be blessed upon the earth, and thou wilt not deliver him unto the will of his enemies.

3. യഹോവ അവനെ രോഗശയ്യയില് താങ്ങും. ദീനത്തില് നീ അവന്റെ കിടക്ക എല്ലാം മാറ്റിവിരിക്കുന്നു.

3. The LORD will strengthen him upon the bed of languishing; thou wilt soften all his bed in his sickness.

4. യഹോവേ, എന്നോടു കൃപ തോന്നി എന്നെ സൌഖ്യമാക്കേണമേ; നിന്നോടല്ലോ ഞാന് പാപം ചെയ്തതു എന്നു ഞാന് പറഞ്ഞു.

4. I said, LORD, be merciful unto me; heal my soul; for I have sinned against thee.

5. അവന് എപ്പോള് മരിച്ചു അവന്റെ പേര് നശിക്കും എന്നു എന്റെ ശത്രുക്കള് എന്നെക്കുറിച്ചു ദോഷം പറയുന്നു.

5. My enemies speak evil of me, When shall he die and his name perish?

6. ഒരുത്തന് എന്നെ കാണ്മാന് വന്നാല് അവന് കപടവാക്കു പറയുന്നു; അവന്റെ ഹൃദയം നീതികേടു സംഗ്രഹിക്കന്നു; അവന് പുറത്തുപോയി അതു പ്രസ്താവിക്കുന്നു.

6. And if he came to see [me], he spoke lies: his heart gathered iniquity to itself, and [when] he goes out, he tells [it].

7. എന്നെ പകെക്കുന്നവരൊക്കെയും എനിക്കു വിരോധമായി തമ്മില് മന്ത്രിക്കുന്നു; അവര് എനിക്കു ദോഷം ചിന്തിക്കുന്നു.

7. All that hate me congregate together and murmur against me; against me do they devise my hurt.

8. ഒരു ദുര്വ്യാധി അവന്നു പിടിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു; അവന് കിടപ്പിലായി; ഇനി അവന് എഴുന്നേല്ക്കയില്ല എന്നു അവര് പറയുന്നു.

8. A disease of Belial, [they say], cleaves fast unto him, and [now] that he lies he shall rise up no more.

9. ഞാന് വിശ്വസിച്ചവനും എന്റെ അപ്പം തിന്നവനുമായ എന്റെ പ്രാണസ്നേഹിതന് പോലും എന്റെ നേരെ കുതികാല് ഉയര്ത്തിയിരിക്കുന്നു.

9. Even the man of my peace, in whom I trusted, who ate of my bread, has lifted up [his] heel against me.

10. ഞാന് അവര്ക്കും പകരം ചെയ്യേണ്ടതിന്നു യഹോവേ, കൃപ തോന്നി എന്നെ എഴുന്നേല്പിക്കേണമേ.

10. But thou, O LORD, be merciful unto me and raise me up that I may requite them.

11. എന്റെ ശത്രു എന്നെച്ചൊല്ലി ജയഘോഷം കൊള്ളാതിരിക്കുന്നതിനാല് നിനക്കു എന്നില് പ്രസാദമായിരിക്കുന്നു എന്നു ഞാന് അറിയുന്നു.

11. In this I shall know that I have pleased thee, that my enemy does not triumph over me.

12. നീ എന്റെ നഷ്കളങ്കത്വംനിമിത്തം എന്നെ താങ്ങുന്നു, നിന്റെ മുമ്പില് എന്നേക്കും എന്നെ നിര്ത്തിക്കൊള്ളുന്നു.

12. And as for me, thou sustained me in my integrity and hast seated me before thy face for ever.

13. യിസ്രായേലിന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവ എന്നും എന്നേക്കും വാഴ്ത്തപ്പെടുമാറാകട്ടെ. ആമേന് , ആമേന് .
