1. ആട്ടിന് കൂട്ടത്തെപ്പോലെ യോസേഫിനെ നടത്തുന്നവനായി യിസ്രായേലിന്റെ ഇടയനായുള്ളോവേ, ചെവിക്കൊള്ളേണമേ; കെരൂബുകളിന്മേല് അധിവസിക്കുന്നവനേ, പ്രകാശിക്കേണമേ.

1. Give ear, O Shepherd of Israel, thou who lead Joseph like a flock. Thou who sit above the cherubim, shine forth.

2. എഫ്രയീമും ബെന്യാമീനും മനശ്ശെയും കാണ്കെ നിന്റെ വീര്യബലം ഉണര്ത്തി ഞങ്ങളുടെ രക്ഷെക്കായി വരേണമേ.

2. Stir up thy might before Ephraim and Benjamin and Manasseh, and come to save us.

3. ദൈവമേ, ഞങ്ങളെ യഥാസ്ഥാനപ്പെടുത്തേണമേ; ഞങ്ങള് രക്ഷപ്പെടേണ്ടതിന്നു തിരുമുഖം പ്രകാശിപ്പിക്കേണമേ.

3. Turn us again, O God, and cause thy face to shine, and we shall be saved.

4. സൈന്യങ്ങളുടെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവേ, നീ നിന്റെ ജനത്തിന്റെ പ്രാര്ത്ഥനെക്കു നേരെ എത്രത്തോളം കോപിക്കും?

4. O LORD God of hosts, how long will thou be angry against the prayer of thy people?

5. നീ അവര്ക്കും കണ്ണുനീരിന്റെ അപ്പം തിന്മാന് കൊടുത്തിരിക്കുന്നു; അനവധി കണ്ണുനീര് അവര്ക്കും കുടിപ്പാനും കൊടുത്തിരിക്കുന്നു.

5. Thou have fed them with the bread of tears, and given them tears to drink in large measure.

6. നീ ഞങ്ങളെ ഞങ്ങളുടെ അയല്ക്കാര്ക്കും വഴക്കാക്കിതീര്ക്കുംന്നു; ഞങ്ങളുടെ ശത്രുക്കള് തമ്മില് പറഞ്ഞു പരിഹസിക്കുന്നു.

6. Thou make us hatred to our neighbors, and our enemies laugh among themselves.

7. സൈന്യങ്ങളുടെ ദൈവമേ, ഞങ്ങളെ യഥാസ്ഥാനപ്പെടുത്തേണമേ; ഞങ്ങള് രക്ഷപ്പെടേണ്ടതിന്നു തിരുമുഖം പ്രകാശിപ്പിക്കേണമേ.

7. Turn us again, O God of hosts, and cause thy face to shine, and we shall be saved.

8. നീ മിസ്രയീമില്നിന്നു ഒരു മുന്തിരവള്ളികൊണ്ടുവന്നു; ജാതികളെ നീക്കിക്കളഞ്ഞു അതിനെ നട്ടു.

8. Thou brought a vine out of Egypt. Thou drove out the nations, and planted it.

9. നീ അതിന്നു തടം എടുത്തു അതു വേരൂന്നി ദേശത്തു പടര്ന്നു.

9. Thou prepared place before it, and it took deep root, and filled the land.

10. അതിന്റെ നിഴല്കൊണ്ടു പര്വ്വതങ്ങള് മൂടിയിരുന്നു; അതിന്റെ കൊമ്പുകള് ദിവ്യദേവദാരുക്കള് പോലെയും ആയിരുന്നു.

10. The mountains were covered with the shadow of it, and the boughs of it were like cedars of God.

11. അതു കൊമ്പുകളെ സമുദ്രംവരെയും ചില്ലികളെ നദിവരെയും നീട്ടിയിരുന്നു.

11. It sent out its branches to the sea, and its shoots to the River.

12. വഴിപോകുന്നവരൊക്കെയും അതിനെ പറിപ്പാന് തക്കവണ്ണം നീ അതിന്റെ വേലികളെ പൊളിച്ചുകളഞ്ഞതു എന്തു?

12. Why have thou broken down its walls, so that all those who pass by the way pluck it?

13. കാട്ടുപന്നി അതിനെ മാന്തിക്കളയുന്നു; വയലിലെ മൃഗങ്ങള് അതു തിന്നുകളയുന്നു.

13. The boar out of the wood ravages it, and the wild beasts of the field feed on it.

14. സൈന്യങ്ങളുടെ ദൈവമേ, തിരിഞ്ഞുവരേണമേ; സ്വര്ഗ്ഗത്തില്നിന്നു നോക്കി കടാക്ഷിച്ചു ഈ മുന്തിരിവള്ളിയെ സന്ദര്ശിക്കേണമേ.

14. Turn again, we beseech thee, O God of hosts. Look down from heaven, and, behold, and visit this vine,

15. നിന്റെ വലങ്കൈ നട്ടിട്ടുള്ളതിനെയും നീ നിനക്കായി വളര്ത്തിയ തയ്യെയും പാലിക്കേണമേ.

15. and the stock which thy right hand planted, and the branch that thou made strong for thyself.

16. അതിനെ തീ വെച്ചു ചുടുകയും വെട്ടിക്കളകയും ചെയ്തിരിക്കുന്നു; നിന്റെ മുഖത്തിന്റെ ഭര്ത്സനത്താല് അവര് നശിച്ചുപോകുന്നു.

16. It is burned with fire, it is cut down. They perish at the rebuke of thy countenance.

17. നിന്റെ കൈ നിന്റെ വലത്തുഭാഗത്തെ പുരുഷന്റെമേല് നീ നിനക്കായി വളര്ത്തിയ മനുഷ്യപുത്രന്റെ മേല്തന്നേ ഇരിക്കട്ടെ.

17. Let thy hand be upon the man of thy right hand, upon the son of man whom thou made strong for thyself,

18. എന്നാല് ഞങ്ങള് നിന്നെ വിട്ടു പിന്മാറുകയില്ല; ഞങ്ങളെ ജീവിപ്പിക്കേണമേ, എന്നാല് ഞങ്ങള് നിന്റെ നാമത്തെ വിളിച്ചപേക്ഷിക്കും.

18. so shall we not go back from thee. Revive thou us, and we will call upon thy name.
