1. യഹോവ പിന്നെയും മോശെയോടു കല്പിച്ചതു എന്തെന്നാല്

1. And the LORD spoke unto Moses, saying,

2. നിങ്ങള് തിരിഞ്ഞു മിഗ്ദോലിന്നും കടലിന്നും മദ്ധ്യേ ബാല്സെഫോന്നു സമീപത്തുള്ള പീഹഹീരോത്തിന്നരികെ പാളയം ഇറങ്ങേണമെന്നു യിസ്രായേല്മക്കളോടു പറക; അതിന്റെ സമീപത്തു സമുദ്രത്തിന്നരികെ നിങ്ങള് പാളയം ഇറങ്ങേണം.

2. Speak unto the sons of Israel that they turn and set up their camp before Pihahiroth between Migdol and the sea over against Baalzephon; before it shall ye set up camp by the sea.

3. എന്നാല് അവര് ദേശത്തു ഉഴലുന്നു; മരുഭൂമിയില് കുടുങ്ങിയിരിക്കുന്നു എന്നു ഫറവോന് യിസ്രായേല്മക്കളെക്കുറിച്ചു പറയും.

3. For Pharaoh will say of the sons of Israel, They [are] entangled in the land; the wilderness has shut them in.

4. ഫറവോന് അവരെ പിന്തുടരുവാന് തക്കവണ്ണം ഞാന് അവന്റെഹൃദയം കഠിനമാക്കും. ഞാന് യഹോവ ആകുന്നു എന്നു മിസ്രയീമ്യര് അറിയേണ്ടതിന്നു ഫറവോനിലും അവന്റെ സകലസൈന്യങ്ങളിലും ഞാന് എന്നെ തന്നേ മഹത്വപ്പെടുത്തും.

4. And I will harden Pharaoh's heart that he shall follow after them; and I will be glorified in Pharaoh and in all his host; and the Egyptians shall know that I [am] the LORD. And they did so.

5. അവര് അങ്ങനെ ചെയ്തു. ജനം ഔടിപ്പോയി എന്നു മിസ്രയീംരാജാവിന്നു അറിവു കിട്ടിയപ്പോള് ജനത്തെ സംബന്ധിച്ചു ഫറവോന്റെയും അവന്റെ ഭൃത്യന്മാരുടെയും മനസ്സുമാറിയിസ്രായേല്യരെ നമ്മുടെ അടിമവേലയില്നിന്നു വിട്ടയച്ചുകളഞ്ഞുവല്ലോ; നാം ഈ ചെയ്തതു എന്തു എന്നു അവര് പറഞ്ഞു.

5. And it was told the king of Egypt how the people fled; and the heart of Pharaoh and of his servants was turned against the people, and they said, Why have we done this, that we have let Israel go from serving us?

6. പിന്നെ അവന് രഥം കെട്ടിച്ചു പടജ്ജനത്തെയും

6. And he made ready his chariot and took his people with him;

7. വിശേഷപ്പെട്ട അറുനൂറു രഥങ്ങളെയും മിസ്രയീമിലെ സകലരഥങ്ങളെയും അവേക്കു വേണ്ടുന്ന തേരാളികളെയും കൂട്ടി.

7. and he took six hundred chosen chariots and all the chariots of Egypt and the captains over them.

8. യഹോവ മിസ്രയീംരാജാവായ ഫറവോന്റെ ഹൃദയം കഠിനമാക്കിയതിനാല് അവന് യിസ്രായേല്മക്കളെ പിന് തുടര്ന്നു. എന്നാല് യിസ്രായേല്മക്കള് യുദ്ധസന്നദ്ധരായി പുറപ്പെട്ടിരുന്നു.

8. And the LORD hardened the heart of Pharaoh, king of Egypt, and he pursued after the sons of Israel, but the sons of Israel had already left with great power.

9. ഫറവോന്റെ എല്ലാ കുതിരയും രഥവും കുതിരപ്പടയും സൈന്യവുമായി മിസ്രയീമ്യര് അവരെ പിന്തുടര്ന്നു; കടല്ക്കരയില് ബാല്സെഫോന്നു സമീപത്തുള്ള പീഹഹീരോത്തിന്നു അരികെ അവര് പാളയമിറങ്ങിയിരിക്കുമ്പോള് അവരോടു അടുത്തു.

9. The Egyptians, nevertheless, pursued after them with all the horses [and] chariots of Pharaoh, his horsemen, and all his army, and overtook them setting up camp by the sea beside Pihahiroth before Baalzephon.

10. ഫറവോന് അടുത്തുവരുമ്പോള് യിസ്രായേല്മക്കള് തലഉയര്ത്തി മിസ്രയീമ്യര് പിന്നാലെ വരുന്നതു കണ്ടു ഏറ്റവും ഭയപ്പെട്ടു; യിസ്രായേല്മക്കള് യഹോവയോടു നിലവിളിച്ചു.

10. And when Pharaoh drew near, the sons of Israel lifted up their eyes, and, behold, the Egyptians marched after them; and they feared greatly, and the sons of Israel cried out unto the LORD.

11. അവര് മോശെയോടുമിസ്രയീമില് ശവകൂഴിയില്ലാഞ്ഞിട്ടോ നീ ഞങ്ങളെ മരുഭൂമിയില് മരിപ്പാന് കൂട്ടിക്കൊണ്ടുവന്നതു? നീ ഞങ്ങളെ മിസ്രയീമില്നിന്നു പുറപ്പെടുവിച്ചതിനാല് ഞങ്ങളോടു ഈ ചെയ്തതു എന്തു?

11. And they said unto Moses, Because [there were] no graves in Egypt, hast thou taken us away to die in the wilderness? Why hast thou dealt thus with us, to bring us forth out of Egypt?

12. മിസ്രയീമ്യര്ക്കും വേല ചെയ്വാന് ഞങ്ങളെ വിടേണം എന്നു ഞങ്ങള് മിസ്രയീമില്വെച്ചു നിന്നോടു പറഞ്ഞില്ലയോ? മരുഭൂമിയില് മരിക്കുന്നതിനെക്കാള് മിസ്രയീമ്യര്ക്കും വേല ചെയ്യുന്നതായിരുന്നു ഞങ്ങള്ക്കു നല്ലതു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

12. [Is] this not what we told thee in Egypt, saying, Let us alone that we may serve the Egyptians? For [it would have been] better for us to serve the Egyptians than that we should die in the wilderness.

13. അതിന്നു മോശെ ജനത്തോടുഭയപ്പെടേണ്ടാ; ഉറച്ചുനില്പിന് ; യഹോവ ഇന്നു നിങ്ങള്ക്കു ചെയ്വാനിരിക്കുന്ന രക്ഷ കണ്ടുകൊള്വിന് ; നിങ്ങള് ഇന്നു കണ്ടിട്ടുള്ള മിസ്രയീമ്യരെ ഇനി ഒരുനാളും കാണുകയില്ല.

13. And Moses said unto the people, Fear ye not, stand still and see the saving health of the LORD, which he will bestow on you today; for the Egyptians whom ye have seen today, ye shall never see them again for ever.

14. യഹോവ നിങ്ങള്ക്കുവേണ്ടി യുദ്ധംചെയ്യും; നിങ്ങള് മിണ്ടാതിരിപ്പിന് എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

14. The LORD shall fight for you, and ye shall be still.

15. അപ്പോള് യഹോവ മോശെയോടു അരുളിച്ചെയ്തതുനീ എന്നോടു നിലവിളിക്കുന്നതു എന്തു? മുമ്പോട്ടു പോകുവാന് യിസ്രായേല്മക്കളോടു പറക.

15. Then the LORD said unto Moses, Why criest thou unto me? Speak unto the sons of Israel that they go forward:

16. വടി എടുത്തു നിന്റെ കൈ കടലിന്മേല് നീട്ടി അതിനെ വിഭാഗിക്ക; യിസ്രായേല്മക്കള് കടലിന്റെ നടുവെ ഉണങ്ങിയ നിലത്തുകൂടി കടന്നുപോകും.

16. And lift up thy rod and stretch out thy hand over the sea and divide it; and the sons of Israel shall go on dry [ground] through the midst of the sea.

17. എന്നാല് ഞാന് മിസ്രയീമ്യരുടെ ഹൃദയത്തെ കഠിനമാക്കും; അവര് ഇവരുടെ പിന്നാലെ ചെല്ലും; ഞാന് ഫറവോനിലും അവന്റെ സകല സൈന്യത്തിലും അവന്റെ രഥങ്ങളിലും കുതിരപ്പടയിലും എന്നെത്തന്നെ മഹത്വപ്പെടുത്തും.

17. And behold, I will harden the hearts of the Egyptians that they shall follow them: and I will be glorified in Pharaoh and in all his host, in his chariots, and in his horsemen.

18. ഇങ്ങനെ ഞാന് ഫറവോനിലും അവന്റെ രഥങ്ങളിലും കുതിരപ്പടയിലും എന്നെത്തന്നെ മഹത്വപ്പെടുത്തുമ്പോള് ഞാന് യഹോവ ആകുന്നു എന്നു മിസ്രയീമ്യര് അറിയും.

18. And the Egyptians shall know that I [am] the LORD, when I have glorified myself in Pharaoh, in his chariots, and in his horsemen.

19. അനന്തരം യിസ്രായേല്യരുടെ സൈന്യത്തിന്നു മുമ്പായി നടന്ന ദൈവദൂതന് അവിടെനിന്നു മാറി അവരുടെ പിന്നാലെ നടന്നു; മേഘസ്തംഭവും അവരുടെ മുമ്പില് നിന്നു മാറി അവരുടെ പിമ്പില് പോയി നിന്നു.

19. And the angel of God, who went before the camp of Israel, removed and went behind them; and likewise the pillar of cloud went from before their face and stood behind them.

20. രാത്രി മുഴുവനും മിസ്രയീമ്യരുടെ സൈന്യവും യിസ്രായേല്യരുടെ സൈന്യവും തമ്മില് അടുക്കാതവണ്ണം അതു അവയുടെ മദ്ധ്യേ വന്നു; അവര്ക്കും മേഘവും അന്ധകാരവും ആയിരുന്നു; ഇവര്ക്കോ രാത്രിയെ പ്രകാശമാക്കിക്കൊടുത്തു.

20. And it came between the camp of the Egyptians and the camp of Israel; and it was a cloud and darkness [to them], but it lit up the night [unto Israel]; and all that night the one [side] never came near the other.

21. മോശെ കടലിന്മേല് കൈനീട്ടി; യഹോവ അന്നു രാത്രി മുഴുവനും മഹാശക്തിയുള്ള ഒരു കിഴക്കന് കാറ്റുകൊണ്ടു കടലിനെ പിന് വാങ്ങിച്ചു ഉണങ്ങിയ നിലം ആക്കി; അങ്ങനെ വെള്ളം തമ്മില് വേര്പിരിഞ്ഞു.

21. And Moses stretched out his hand over the sea; and the LORD caused the sea to go [back] by a strong east wind all that night and made the sea dry [land], and the waters were divided.

22. യിസ്രായേല്മക്കള് കടലിന്റെ നടുവില് ഉണങ്ങിയ നിലത്തുകൂടി നടന്നുപോയി; അവരുടെ ഇടത്തും വലത്തും വെള്ളം മതിലായി നിന്നു.
1 കൊരിന്ത്യർ 10:1

22. Then the sons of Israel went into the midst of the sea upon the dry [ground]; and the waters [were] a wall unto them on their right hand and on their left.

23. മിസ്രയീമ്യര് പിന്തുടര്ന്നു; ഫറവോന്റെ കുതിരയും രഥങ്ങളും കുതിരപ്പടയും എല്ലാം അവരുടെ പിന്നാലെ കടലിന്റെ നടുവിലേക്കു ചെന്നു.

23. And the Egyptians pursued and went in after them to the midst of the sea, [even] all Pharaoh's horses, his chariots, and his horsemen.

24. പ്രഭാതയാമത്തില് യഹോവ അഗ്നിമേഘസ്തംഭത്തില്നിന്നു മിസ്രയീമ്യസൈന്യത്തെ നോക്കി മിസ്രയീമ്യസൈന്യത്തെ താറുമാറാക്കി.

24. And it came to pass that in the morning watch the LORD looked at the camp of the Egyptians in the pillar of fire and of cloud and troubled the camp of the Egyptians

25. അവരുടെ രഥചക്രങ്ങളെ തെറ്റിച്ചു ഔട്ടം പ്രായസമാക്കി. അതുകൊണ്ടു മിസ്രയീമ്യര്നാം യിസ്രായേലിനെ വിട്ടു ഔടിപ്പോക; യഹോവ അവര്ക്കും വേണ്ടി മിസ്രയീമ്യരോടു യുദ്ധം ചെയ്യുന്നു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

25. and took off their chariot wheels and overturned them grievously, so that the Egyptians said, Let us flee from the face of Israel; for the LORD fights for them against the Egyptians.

26. അപ്പോള് യഹോവ മോശെയോടുവെള്ളം മിസ്രയീമ്യരുടെ മേലും അവരുടെ രഥങ്ങളിന് മേലും കുതിരപ്പടയുടെമേലും മടങ്ങി വരേണ്ടതിന്നു കടലിന്മേല് കൈനീട്ടുക എന്നു കല്പിച്ചു.

26. And the LORD said unto Moses, Stretch out thy hand over the sea that the waters may come again upon the Egyptians, upon their chariots, and upon their horsemen.

27. മോശെ കടലിന്മേല് കൈ നീട്ടി; പുലര്ച്ചെക്കു കടല് അതിന്റെ സ്ഥിതിയിലേക്കു മടങ്ങിവന്നു. മിസ്രയീമ്യര് അതിന്നു എതിരായി ഔടി; യഹോവ മിസ്രയീമ്യരെ കടലിന്റെ നടുവില് തള്ളിയിട്ടു.

27. And Moses stretched forth his hand over the sea, and the sea returned in its strength when the morning appeared; and the Egyptians fled against it; and the LORD overthrew the Egyptians in the midst of the sea.

28. വെള്ളം മടങ്ങിവന്നു അവരുടെ പിന്നാലെ കടലിലേക്കു ചെന്നിരുന്ന രഥങ്ങളെയും കുതിരപ്പടയെയും ഫറവോന്റെ സൈന്യത്തെയും എല്ലാം മുക്കിക്കളഞ്ഞു; അവരില് ഒരുത്തന് പോലും ശേഷിച്ചില്ല.

28. And the waters returned, and covered the chariots and the horsemen [and] all the host of Pharaoh that came into the sea after them; there remained not so much as one of them.

29. യിസ്രായേല്മക്കള് കടലിന്റെ നടുവെ ഉണങ്ങിയ നിലത്തുകൂടി കടന്നുപോയി; വെള്ളം അവരുടെ ഇടത്തും വലത്തും മതിലായി നിന്നു.

29. But the sons of Israel walked upon dry [land] in the midst of the sea; and the waters [were] a wall unto them on their right hand and on their left.

30. ഇങ്ങനെ യഹോവ ആ ദിവസം യിസ്രായേല്യരെ മിസ്രയീമ്യരുടെ കയ്യില്നിന്നു രക്ഷിച്ചു; മിസ്രയീമ്യര് കടല്ക്കരയില് ചത്തടിഞ്ഞു കിടക്കുന്നതു യിസ്രായേല്യര് കാണുകയും ചെയ്തു.

30. Thus the LORD saved Israel that day out of the hand of the Egyptians; and Israel saw the Egyptians dead upon the sea shore.

31. യഹോവ മിസ്രയീമ്യരില് ചെയ്ത ഈ മഹാപ്രവൃത്തി യിസ്രായേല്യര് കണ്ടു; ജനം യഹോവയെ ഭയപ്പെട്ടു, യഹോവയിലും അവന്റെ ദാസനായ മോശെയിലും വിശ്വസിച്ചു.

31. And Israel saw that great work which the LORD did against the Egyptians; and the people feared the LORD and believed the LORD and his servant Moses.:
