1. And God spake all these wordes, and said.

2. അടിമവീടായ മിസ്രയീംദേശത്തുനിന്നു നിന്നെ കൊണ്ടുവന്ന യഹോവയായ ഞാന് നിന്റെ ദൈവം ആകുന്നു.

2. I am the Lord thy GOD, whiche haue brought thee out of the lande of Egypt, out of ye house of bondage.

3. ഞാനല്ലാതെ അന്യദൈവങ്ങള് നിനക്കു ഉണ്ടാകരുതു.

3. Thou shalt haue none other Gods in my sight.

4. ഒരു വിഗ്രഹം ഉണ്ടാക്കരുതു; മിതെ സ്വര്ഗ്ഗത്തില് എങ്കിലും താഴെ ഭൂമിയില് എങ്കിലും ഭൂമിക്കു കീഴെ വെള്ളത്തില് എങ്കിലും ഉള്ള യാതൊന്നിന്റെ പ്രതിമയും അരുതു.

4. Thou shalt make thee no grauen image, neyther any similitude that is in heauen aboue, eyther in the earth beneath, or in the waters vnder the earth.

5. അവയെ നമസ്കരിക്കയോ സേവിക്കയോ ചെയ്യരുതു. നിന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവയായ ഞാന് തീക്ഷ്ണതയുള്ള ദൈവം ആകുന്നു; എന്നെ പകെക്കുന്നവരില് പിതാക്കന്മാരുടെ അകൃത്യം മൂന്നാമത്തെയും നാലാമത്തെയും തലമുറവരെ മക്കളുടെ മേല് സന്ദര്ശിക്കയും
യോഹന്നാൻ 9:2

5. Thou shalt not bowe downe to them, neyther serue them: for I the Lord thy God, am a gelous God, and visite the sinne of the fathers vpon the chyldren, vnto the thirde and fourth generation of them that hate me:

6. എന്നെ സ്നേഹിച്ചു എന്റെ കല്പനകളെ പ്രമാണിക്കുന്നവര്ക്കും ആയിരം തലമുറ വരെ ദയകാണിക്കയും ചെയ്യുന്നു.

6. And shewe mercy vnto thousandes in them that loue me, and kepe my commaundementes.

7. നിന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവയുടെ നാമം വൃഥാ എടുക്കരുതു; തന്റെ നാമം വൃഥാ എടുക്കുന്നവനെ യഹോവ ശിക്ഷിക്കാതെ വിടുകയില്ല.

7. Thou shalt not take the name of the Lorde thy God in vayne: for the Lorde will not holde him giltlesse that taketh his name in vayne.

8. Remember the sabboth day that thou sanctifie it.

9. ആറു ദിവസം അദ്ധ്വാനിച്ചു നിന്റെ വേല ഒക്കെയും ചെയ്ക.

9. Sixe dayes shalt thou labour, and do all that thou hast to do.

10. ഏഴാം ദിവസം നിന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവയുടെ ശബ്ബത്ത്ആകുന്നു; അന്നു നീയും നിന്റെ പുത്രനും പുത്രിയും നിന്റെ വേലക്കാരനും വേലക്കാരത്തിയും നിന്റെ കന്നുകാലികളും നിന്റെ പടിവാതില്ക്കകത്തുള്ള പരദേശിയും ഒരു വേലയും ചെയ്യരുതു.

10. But the seuenth day is the sabboth of the Lorde thy God: in it thou shalt do no maner of worke, thou and thy sonne, and thy daughter, thy man seruaunt, and thy mayde seruaunt, thy cattel, and the straunger that is within thy gates.

11. ആറു ദിവസംകൊണ്ടു യഹോവ ആകാശവും ഭൂമിയും സമുദ്രവും അവയിലുള്ളതൊക്കെയും ഉണ്ടാക്കി, ഏഴാം ദിവസം സ്വസ്ഥമായിരുന്നു; അതുകൊണ്ടു യഹോവ ശബ്ബത്തുനാളിനെ അനുഗ്രഹിച്ചു ശുദ്ധീകരിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു.

11. For in sixe dayes the Lorde made heauen and earth, the sea, and all that in them is, and rested the seuenth day: wherfore the Lorde blessed the seuenth day, and halowed it.

12. നിന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവ നിനക്കു തരുന്ന ദേശത്തു നിനക്കു ദീര്ഘായുസ്സുണ്ടാകുവാന് നിന്റെ അപ്പനെയും അമ്മയെയും ബഹുമാനിക്ക.

12. Honour thy father and thy mother: that thy dayes may be long in the lande whiche the Lorde thy God geueth thee.

15. Thou shalt not steale.

16. കൂട്ടുകാരന്റെ നേരെ കള്ളസ്സാക്ഷ്യം പറയരുതു.

16. Thou shalt not beare false witnesse agaynst thy neyghbour.

17. കൂട്ടുകാരന്റെ ഭവനത്തെ മോഹിക്കരുതു; കൂട്ടുകാരന്റെ ഭാര്യയെയും അവന്റെ ദാസനെയും ദാസിയെയും അവന്റെ കാളയെയും കഴുതയെയും കൂട്ടുകാരനുള്ള യാതൊന്നിനെയും മോഹിക്കരുതു.

17. Thou shalt not couet thy neyghbours house, neyther shalt thou couet thy neyghbours wyfe, nor his man seruaut, nor his mayde, nor his oxe, nor his asse, or whatsoeuer thy neighbour hath.

18. ജനം ഒക്കെയും ഇടിമുഴക്കവും മിന്നലും കാഹളധ്വനിയും പര്വ്വതം പുകയുന്നതും കണ്ടു; ജനം അതുകണ്ടപ്പോള് വിറെച്ചുകൊണ്ടു ദൂരത്തു നിന്നു.

18. And all the people saw the thunder and lightning, and the noyse of the trumpet, and the mountayne smoking: And when the people sawe it, they remoued, and stoode a farre of:

19. അവര് മോശെയോടുനീ ഞങ്ങളോടു സംസാരിക്ക; ഞങ്ങള് കേട്ടുകൊള്ളാം; ഞങ്ങള് മരിക്കാതിരിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു ദൈവം ഞങ്ങളോടു സംസാരിക്കരുതേ എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

19. And said vnto Moyses, Talke thou with vs, and we wyll heart: But let not God talke with vs, lest we dye.

20. മോശെ ജനത്തോടുഭയപ്പെടേണ്ടാ; നിങ്ങളെ പരീക്ഷിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നും നിങ്ങള് പാപം ചെയ്യാതിരിപ്പാന് അവങ്കലുള്ള ഭയം നിങ്ങള്ക്കു ഉണ്ടായിരിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നും അത്രേ ദൈവം വന്നിരിക്കുന്നതു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

20. And Moyses sayde vnto the people: feare not, for God is come to proue you, and that his feare may be before your eyes, that ye sinne not.

21. അങ്ങനെ ജനം ദൂരത്തു നിന്നു; മോശെയോ ദൈവം ഇരുന്ന ഇരുളിന്നു അടുത്തുചെന്നു.

21. And the people stoode a farre of: and Moyses went into the thicke cloude where God was.

22. അപ്പോള് യഹോവ മോശെയോടു കല്പിച്ചതുനീ യിസ്രായേല്മക്കളോടു ഇപ്രകാരം പറയേണംഞാന് സ്വര്ഗ്ഗത്തില്നിന്നു നിങ്ങളോടു സംസാരിച്ചതു നിങ്ങള് കണ്ടിരിക്കുന്നുവല്ലോ.

22. And the Lorde sayde vnto Moyses, Thus thou shalt say vnto the chyldren of Israel: Ye haue seene that I haue talked with you from out of heauen.

23. എന്റെ സന്നിധിയില് വെള്ളികൊണ്ടുള്ള ദേവന്മാരെയോ പൊന്നുകൊണ്ടുള്ള ദേവന്മാരെയോ നിങ്ങള് ഉണ്ടാക്കരുതു.

23. Ye shall not make therfore with me gods of siluer, neyther shall ye make ye gods of golde.

24. എനിക്കു മണ്ണുകൊണ്ടു ഒരു യാഗപീഠം ഉണ്ടാക്കി അതിന്മേല് നിന്റെ ഹോമയാഗങ്ങളെയും സമാധാനയാഗങ്ങളെയും നിന്റെ ആടുകളെയും കന്നുകാലികളെയും അര്പ്പിക്കേണം. ഞാന് എന്റെ നാമത്തിന്റെ സ്മരണ സ്ഥാപിക്കുന്ന ഏതു സ്ഥലത്തും ഞാന് നിന്റെ അടുക്കല് വന്നു നിന്നെ അനുഗ്രഹിക്കും.

24. An aulter of earth thou shalt make vnto me, and theron offer thy burnt offeringes, and thy peace offeringes, thy sheepe, and thyne oxen: In all places where I shall put the remembraunce of my name, thyther I wyll come vnto thee, and blesse thee.

25. കല്ലു കൊണ്ടു എനിക്കു യാഗപീഠം ഉണ്ടാക്കുന്നു എങ്കില് ചെത്തിയ കല്ലുകൊണ്ടു അതു പണിയരുതു; നിന്റെ ആയുധംകൊണ്ടു അതിനെ തൊട്ടാല് നീ അതിനെ അശുദ്ധമാക്കും.

25. And if thou wylt make me an aulter of stone, see thou make it not of hewen stone: els if thou lyft vp thy toole vpon it, thou hast poluted it.

26. എന്റെ യാഗപീഠത്തിങ്കല് നിന്റെ നഗ്നത കാണാതിരിപ്പാന് നീ അതിങ്കല് പടികളാല് കയറരുതു.

26. Neyther shalt thou go vp by steppes vnto myne aulter, that thy shame be not shewed theron.
