1. നിന്റെ സഹോദരനായ അഹരോനെയും അവന്റെ പുത്രന്മാരെയും എനിക്കു പുരോഹിതശുശ്രൂഷ ചെയ്യേണ്ടതിന്നു യിസ്രായേല്മക്കളുടെ ഇടയില്നിന്നു നിന്റെ അടുക്കല് വരുത്തുക; അഹരോനെയും അഹരോന്റെ പുത്രന്മാരായ നാദാബ്, അബീഹൂ, എലെയാസാര്, ഈഥാമാര് എന്നിവരെയും തന്നേ
എബ്രായർ 5:4

1. And take thou unto thee, Aaron thy brother and his sons with him, from among the children of Israel, that he may minister unto me: both Aaron, Nadab, Abihu, Eleazar and Ithamar, Aaron's sons.

2. നിന്റെ സഹോദരനായ അഹരോന്നു വേണ്ടി മഹത്വത്തിന്നും അലങ്കാരത്തിന്നുമായി വിശുദ്ധവസ്ത്രം ഉണ്ടാക്കേണം.

2. And thou shalt make holy raiment for Aaron thy brother, both honourable and glorious.

3. അഹരോന് എനിക്കു പുരോഹിതശുശ്രൂഷ ചെയ്വാന് തക്കവണ്ണം അവനെ ശുദ്ധീകരിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു അവന്നു വസ്ത്രം ഉണ്ടാക്കേണമെന്നു ഞാന് ജ്ഞാനാത്മാവുകൊണ്ടു നിറെച്ചിരിക്കുന്ന സകലജ്ഞാനികളോടും നീ പറയേണം.

3. Moreover speak unto all that are wise hearted, which I have filled with the spirit of wisdom: that they make Aaron's raiment to consecrate him with, that he may minister unto me.

4. അവര് ഉണ്ടാക്കേണ്ടുന്ന വസ്ത്രമോപതക്കം, ഏഫോദ്, നീളകൂപ്പായം, ചിത്രത്തയ്യലുള്ള നിലയങ്കി, മുടി, നടുക്കെട്ടു എന്നിവ തന്നേ. നിന്റെ സഹോദരനായ അഹരോന് എനിക്കു പുരോഹിതശുശ്രൂഷ ചെയ്യേണ്ടതിന്നു അവര് അവന്നും അവന്റെ പുത്രന്മാര്ക്കും വിശുദ്ധവസ്ത്രം ഉണ്ടാക്കേണം.

4. These are the garments which they shall make: a breastlap, Ephod, a tunicle, a strait coat, a mitre and a girdle. And they shall make holy garments for Aaron thy brother and his sons, that he may minister unto me.

5. അതിന്നു പൊന്നു, നീലനൂല്, ധൂമ്രനൂല്, ചുവപ്പുനൂല്, പിരിച്ച പഞ്ഞിനൂല് എന്നിവ എടുക്കേണം.

5. And they shall take thereto, gold, jacinth, scarlet, purple and byss.

6. പൊന്നു, നീലനൂല്, ധൂമ്രനൂല്, ചുവപ്പുനൂല്, പിരിച്ച പഞ്ഞിനൂല് എന്നിവകൊണ്ടു നെയ്ത്തുകാരന്റെ ചിത്രപ്പണിയായി ഏഫോദ് ഉണ്ടാക്കേണം.

6. And they shall make the Ephod of gold, jacinth, scarlet, purple and white twined byss with broidered work.

7. അതിന്റെ രണ്ടു അറ്റത്തോടു ചേര്ന്നതായി രണ്ടു ചുമല്ക്കണ്ടം ഉണ്ടായിരിക്കേണം. അങ്ങനെ അതു തമ്മില് ഇണെച്ചിരിക്കേണം.

7. The two sides shall come together, closed up in the edges thereof.

8. അതു കെട്ടിമുറുക്കുവാന് അതിന്മേലുള്ളതായി ചിത്രപ്പണിയായ നടുക്കെട്ടു അതില്നിന്നു തന്നേ അതിന്റെ പണിപോലെ പൊന്നു, നീലനൂല്, ധൂമ്രനൂല്, ചുവപ്പുനൂല്, പിരിച്ച പഞ്ഞിനൂല് എന്നിവകൊണ്ടു ആയിരിക്കേണം.

8. And the girdle of the Ephod shall be of the same workmanship and of the same stuff: even of gold, jacinth, scarlet, purple and twined byss.

9. അതു കൂടാതെ രണ്ടു ഗോമേദകക്കല്ലു എടുത്തു അവയില് യിസ്രായേല്മക്കളുടെ പേര് കൊത്തേണം.

9. And thou shalt take two onyx stones and grave in them the names of the children of Israel:

10. അവരുടെ പേരുകളില് ആറു ഒരുകല്ലിലും ശേഷമുള്ള ആറു മറ്റെ കല്ലിലും അവരുടെ ജനനക്രമത്തില് ആയിരിക്കേണം.

10. fix in the one stone, and the other fix in the other stone: according to the order of their birth.

11. രത്നശില്പിയുടെ പണിയായി മുദ്രക്കൊത്തുപോലെ രണ്ടു കല്ലിലും യിസ്രായേല് മക്കളുടെ പേര് കൊത്തേണം; അവ പൊന്തടങ്ങളില് പതിക്കേണം;

11. After the work of a stone graver, even as signets are graven, shalt thou grave the two stones with the names of the children of Israel, and shalt make them to be set in ouches of gold.

12. കല്ലു രണ്ടും ഏഫോദിന്റെ ചുമല്ക്കണ്ടങ്ങളിന്മേല് യിസ്രായേല്മക്കള്ക്കു വേണ്ടി ഔര്മ്മക്കല്ലായി വെക്കേണം; അഹരോന് യഹോവയുടെ മുമ്പാകെ അവരുടെ പേര് ഔര്മ്മക്കായി തന്റെ രണ്ടു ചുമലിന്മേലും വഹിക്കേണം.

12. And thou shalt put the two stones upon the two shoulders of the Ephod, and they shall be stones of remembrance unto the children of Israel. And Aaron shall bear their names before the LORD upon his two shoulders for a remembrance.

13. പൊന്നുകൊണ്ടു തടങ്ങള് ഉണ്ടാക്കേണം.

13. And thou shalt make hooks of gold

14. തങ്കംകൊണ്ടു ചരടുപോലെ മുറിച്ചുകുത്തുപണിയായി രണ്ടു സരപ്പളിയും ഉണ്ടാക്കേണം; മുറിച്ചു കുത്തുപണിയായ സരപ്പളി തടങ്ങളില് ചേര്ക്കേണം.

14. and two chains of fine gold: link work and wreathed, and fasten the wreathed chains to the hooks.

15. ന്യായവിധിപ്പതക്കം ചിത്രപ്പണിയായിട്ടു ഉണ്ടാക്കേണം; അതു ഏഫോദിന്റെ പണിക്കൊത്തതായി പൊന്നു, നീലനൂല്, ധൂമ്രനൂല്, ചുവപ്പുനൂല്, പിരിച്ച പഞ്ഞിനൂല് എന്നിവ കൊണ്ടു ഉണ്ടാക്കേണം.

15. And thou shalt make the breastlap of ensample(judgement) with broidered work: even after the work of the Ephod shalt thou make it: of gold, jacinth, scarlet, purple and twined byss shalt thou make it.

16. അതു സമചതുരവും ഇരട്ടയും ഒരു ചാണ് നീളമുള്ളതും ഒരു ചാണ് വീതിയുള്ളതും ആയിരിക്കേണം.

16. Foursquare it shall be and double, an hand breadth long and an hand breadth broad.

17. അതില് കല്പതിപ്പായി നാലു നിര കല്ലു പതിക്കേണം; താമ്രമണി, പീതരത്നം, മരതകം എന്നിവ ഒന്നാമത്തെ നിര.

17. And thou shalt fill it with four rows of stones. In the first row shall be a Sardius, a Topas and Smaragdus.

18. രണ്ടാമത്തെ നിരമാണിക്യം, നീലക്കല്ലു, വജ്രം.

18. The second row, a Ruby, Sapphire and Diamond.

19. മൂന്നാമത്തെ നിരപത്മരാഗം, വൈഡൂര്യം, സുഗന്ധിക്കല്ലു.

19. The third: Ligurius, an Achat and Amethyst.

20. നാലാമത്തെ നിരപുഷ്പരാഗം, ഗോമേദകം, സൂര്യകാന്തം. അവ അതതു തടത്തില്പൊന്നില് പതിച്ചിരിക്കേണം.

20. The fourth: a Turcois Onyx and Jasper. And they shall be set in gold in their enclosures.

21. ഈ കല്ലു യിസ്രായേല്മക്കളുടെ പേരോടുകൂടെ അവരുടെ പേര്പോലെ പന്ത്രണ്ടായിരിക്കേണം; പന്ത്രണ്ടു ഗോത്രങ്ങളില് ഔരോന്നിന്റെ പേര് അവയില് മുദ്രക്കൊത്തായി കൊത്തിയിരിക്കേണം.

21. And the stones shall be graven as signets be graven: with the names of the children of Israel, even with twelve names every one with his name according to the twelve tribes.

22. പതക്കത്തിന്നു ചരടുപോലെ മുറിച്ചുകുത്തുപണിയായി തങ്കംകൊണ്ടു സരപ്പളി ഉണ്ടാക്കേണം.

22. And thou shalt make upon the breastlap two fastening chains of pure gold and wreathen work.

23. പതക്കത്തിന്നു പൊന്നുകൊണ്ടു രണ്ടു വട്ടക്കണ്ണി ഉണ്ടാക്കി പതക്കത്തിന്റെ രണ്ടു അറ്റത്തും വട്ടക്കണ്ണി വെക്കേണം.

23. And thou shalt make likewise upon the breastlap two rings of gold and put them on the edges of the breastlap,

24. പൊന്നുകൊണ്ടു മുറിച്ചുകുത്തുപണിയായ സരപ്പളി രണ്ടും പതക്കത്തിന്റെ അറ്റങ്ങളില് ഉള്ള വട്ടക്കണ്ണി രണ്ടിലും കൊളുത്തേണം.

24. and put the two wreathen chains of gold in the two rings which are in the edges of the breastlap.

25. മുറിച്ചുകുത്തുപണിയായ രണ്ടു സരപ്പളിയുടെ മറ്റേ അറ്റം രണ്ടും രണ്ടു തടത്തില് കൊളുത്തി ഏഫോദിന്റെ ചുമല്ക്കണ്ടങ്ങളില് അതിന്റെ മുന് ഭാഗത്തു വെക്കേണം.

25. And the two ends of the two chains thou shalt fasten in the two rings, and put them upon the shoulders of the Ephod: on the foreside of it.

26. പൊന്നുകൊണ്ടു രണ്ടു വട്ടക്കണ്ണി ഉണ്ടാക്കി പതക്കത്തിന്റെ മറ്റേ രണ്ടു അറ്റത്തും ഏഫോദിന്റെ കീഴറ്റത്തിന്നു നേരെ അതിന്റെ വിളുമ്പില് അകത്തായി വെക്കേണം.

26. And thou shalt yet make two rings of gold, and put them in the two edges of the breastlap even in the borders thereof toward the inside of the Ephod that is over against it.

27. പൊന്നുകൊണ്ടു വേറെ രണ്ടു വട്ടക്കണ്ണി ഉണ്ടാക്കി, ഏഫോദിന്റെ മുന് ഭാഗത്തു അതിന്റെ രണ്ടു ചുമല്ക്കണ്ടത്തിന്മേല് താഴെ അതിന്റെ ഇണെപ്പിന്നരികെ ഏഫോദിന്റെ നടുക്കെട്ടിന്നു മേലായി വെക്കേണം.

27. And yet two other rings of gold thou shalt make, and put them on the two sides of the Ephod, beneath over against the breastlap, alow where the sides are joined together upon the broidered girdle of the Ephod.

28. പതക്കം ഏഫോദിന്റെ നടുക്കെട്ടിന്നു മേലായിരിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നും ഏഫോദില് ആടാതിരിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നും അതിന്റെ വട്ടക്കണ്ണികളാല് ഏഫോദിന്റെ വട്ടക്കണ്ണികളോടു നീലനാടകൊണ്ടു കെട്ടേണം.

28. And they shall bind the breastlap by his rings unto the rings of the Ephod with a lace of jacinth, that it may lie close unto the broidered girdle of the Ephod, that the breastlap be not lowsed from the Ephod.

29. അങ്ങനെ അഹരോന് വിശുദ്ധമന്ദിരത്തില് കടക്കുമ്പോള് ന്യായവിധിപ്പതക്കത്തില് യിസ്രായേല്മക്കളുടെ പേര് എപ്പോഴും യഹോവയുടെ മുമ്പാകെ ഔര്മ്മെക്കായിട്ടു തന്റെ ഹൃദയത്തിന്മേല് വഹിക്കേണം.

29. And Aaron shall bear the names of the children Israel in the breastlap of ensample upon his heart, when he goeth into the holy place, for a remembrance before the LORD alway.

30. ന്യായവിധിപ്പതക്കത്തിന്നകത്തു ഊറീമും തുമ്മീമും (വെളിപ്പാടും സത്യവും) വെക്കേണം; അഹരോന് യഹോവയുടെ സന്നിധാനത്തിങ്കല് കടക്കുമ്പോള് അവന്റെ ഹൃദയത്തിന്മേല് ഇരിക്കേണം; അഹരോന് യിസ്രായേല്മക്കള്ക്കുള്ള ന്യായവിധി എപ്പോഴും യഹോവയുടെ മുമ്പാകെ തന്റെ ഹൃദയത്തിന്മേല് വഹിക്കേണം.

30. And thou shalt put in the breastlap of ensample light and perfectness: that they be even upon Aaron's heart when he goeth in before the LORD and Aaron shall bear the example of the children of Israel upon his heart before the LORD alway.

31. ഏഫോദിന്റെ അങ്കി മുഴുവനും നീല നൂല്കൊണ്ടു ഉണ്ടാക്കേണം.

31. And thou shalt make the tunicle unto the Ephod, altogether of Jacinth.

32. അതിന്റെ നടുവില് തല കടപ്പാന് ഒരു ദ്വാരം വേണം; ദ്വാരത്തിന്നു നെയ്ത്തുപണിയായ ഒരു നാട ചുറ്റിലും വേണം; അതു കീറിപ്പോകാതിരിപ്പാന് കവചത്തിന്റെ ദ്വാരംപോലെ അതിന്നു ഉണ്ടായിരിക്കേണം.

32. And there shall be an hole for the head in the midst of it, and let there be a bond of woven work round about the collar of it: as it were the collar of a partlet, that it rend not.

33. നീലനൂല്, ധൂമ്രനൂല്, ചുവപ്പുനൂല് എന്നിവകൊണ്ടു ചുറ്റും അതിന്റെ വിളുമ്പില് മാതളപ്പഴങ്ങളും അവയുടെ ഇടയില് ചുറ്റും പൊന്നുകൊണ്ടു മണികളും ഉണ്ടാക്കേണം.

33. And beneath upon the hem, thou shalt make pomegranates of Jacincth, of scarlet, and of purple round about the hem,

34. അങ്കിയുടെ വിളുമ്പില് ചുറ്റും ഒരു പൊന്മണി ഒരു മാതളപ്പഴം, ഒരു പൊന്മണി ഒരു മാതളപ്പഴം, ഇങ്ങനെ വേണം.

34. and bells of gold between them round about: that there be ever a golden bell and a pomegranate, a golden bell and a pomegranate round about upon the hem of the tunicle.

35. ശുശ്രൂഷ ചെയ്കയില് അഹരോന് അതു ധരിക്കേണം. യഹോവയുടെ മുമ്പാകെ വിശുദ്ധമന്ദിരത്തില് കടക്കുമ്പോഴും പുറത്തുവരുമ്പോഴും അവന് മരിക്കാതിരിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു അതിന്റെ ശബ്ദം കേള്ക്കേണം.

35. And Aaron shall have it upon him when he ministereth, that the sound may be heard when he goeth into the holy place before the LORD and when he cometh out, that he die not.

36. തങ്കംകൊണ്ടു ഒരു പട്ടം ഉണ്ടാക്കി അതില് “യഹോവേക്കു വിശുദ്ധം” എന്നു മുദ്രക്കൊത്തായി കൊത്തേണം.

36. And thou shalt make a plate of pure gold, and grave thereon (as signets are graven) The holiness of the LORD,

37. അതു മുടിമേല് ഇരിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു നീലച്ചരടുകൊണ്ടു കെട്ടേണം; അതു മുടിയുടെ മുന് ഭാഗത്തു ഇരിക്കേണം.

37. and put it on a lace of Jacincth and tie it unto the mitre,

38. യിസ്രായേല്മക്കള് തങ്ങളുടെ സകല വിശുദ്ധ വഴിപാടുകളിലും ശുദ്ധീകരിക്കുന്ന വിശുദ്ധവസ്തുക്കളുടെ കുറ്റം അഹരോന് വഹിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു അതു അഹരോന്റെ നെറ്റിയില് ഇരിക്കേണം; യഹോവയുടെ മുമ്പാകെ അവര്ക്കും പ്രസാദം ലഭിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു അതു എപ്പോഴും അവന്റെ നെറ്റിയില് ഇരിക്കേണം.

38. upon the forefront of it, that it be upon Aaron's forehead: that Aaron bear the sin of the holy things which the children of Israel have hallowed in all their holy gifts. And it shall be always upon Aaron's forehead, that they may be accepted before the LORD.

39. പഞ്ഞിനൂല്കൊണ്ടു ഉള്ളങ്കിയും വിചിത്രപ്പണിയായി നെയ്യേണം; പഞ്ഞിനൂല്കൊണ്ടു മുടിയും ഉണ്ടാക്കേണം; നടുക്കെട്ടും ചിത്രത്തയ്യല്പണിയായിട്ടു ഉണ്ടാക്കേണം.

39. And thou shalt make an alb of byss, and thou shalt make a mitre of byss and a girdle of needle work.

40. അഹരോന്റെ പുത്രന്മാര്ക്കും മഹത്വത്തിന്നും അലങ്കാരത്തിന്നുമായിട്ടു അങ്കി, നടുക്കെട്ടു, തലപ്പാവു എന്നിവ ഉണ്ടാക്കേണം.

40. And thou shalt make for Aaron's sons also coats, girdles and bonnets honourable and glorious,

41. അവ നിന്റെ സഹോദരനായ അഹരോനെയും അവന്റെ പുത്രന്മാരെയും ധരിപ്പിക്കേണം; അവര് എനിക്കു പുരോഹിത ശുശ്രൂഷ ചെയ്യേണ്ടതിന്നു അവരെ അഭിഷേകവും കരപൂരണവും ചെയ്തു ശുദ്ധീകരിക്കേണം.

41. and thou shalt put them upon Aaron thy brother and on his sons with him and shalt anoint them and fill their hands and consecrate them, that they may minister unto me.

42. അവരുടെ നഗ്നത മറെപ്പാന് അവര്ക്കും ചണനൂല്കൊണ്ടു കാല്ചട്ടയും ഉണ്ടാക്കേണം; അതു അര തുടങ്ങി തുടവരെ എത്തേണം.

42. And thou shalt make them linen breeches to cover their privates:(privities) from the loins unto the thighs shall they reach.

43. അഹരോനും അവന്റെ പുത്രന്മാരും വിശുദ്ധമന്ദിരത്തില് ശുശ്രൂഷ ചെയ്വാന് സമാഗമന കൂടാരത്തില് കടക്കുമ്പോഴോ യാഗപീഠത്തിന്റെ അടുക്കല് ചെല്ലുമ്പോഴോ കുറ്റം ചുമന്നു മരിക്കാതിരിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു അവര് അതു ധരിക്കേണം. അവന്നും അവന്റെ സന്തതിക്കും അതു എന്നേക്കുമുള്ള ചട്ടം ആയിരിക്കേണം.

43. And they shall be upon Aaron and his sons, when they go into the tabernacle of witness, or when they go unto the altar to minister in holiness, that they bear no sin and so die. And it shall be a law for ever unto Aaron and his seed after him.
