1. Now let Aaron your brother, and his sons with him, come near from among the children of Israel, so that they may be my priests, even Aaron, and Nadab, Abihu, Eleazar, and Ithamar, his sons.

2. നിന്റെ സഹോദരനായ അഹരോന്നു വേണ്ടി മഹത്വത്തിന്നും അലങ്കാരത്തിന്നുമായി വിശുദ്ധവസ്ത്രം ഉണ്ടാക്കേണം.

2. And make holy robes for Aaron your brother, so that he may be clothed with glory and honour.

3. അഹരോന് എനിക്കു പുരോഹിതശുശ്രൂഷ ചെയ്വാന് തക്കവണ്ണം അവനെ ശുദ്ധീകരിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു അവന്നു വസ്ത്രം ഉണ്ടാക്കേണമെന്നു ഞാന് ജ്ഞാനാത്മാവുകൊണ്ടു നിറെച്ചിരിക്കുന്ന സകലജ്ഞാനികളോടും നീ പറയേണം.

3. Give orders to all the wise-hearted workmen, whom I have made full of the spirit of wisdom, to make robes for Aaron, so that he may be made holy as my priest.

4. അവര് ഉണ്ടാക്കേണ്ടുന്ന വസ്ത്രമോപതക്കം, ഏഫോദ്, നീളകൂപ്പായം, ചിത്രത്തയ്യലുള്ള നിലയങ്കി, മുടി, നടുക്കെട്ടു എന്നിവ തന്നേ. നിന്റെ സഹോദരനായ അഹരോന് എനിക്കു പുരോഹിതശുശ്രൂഷ ചെയ്യേണ്ടതിന്നു അവര് അവന്നും അവന്റെ പുത്രന്മാര്ക്കും വിശുദ്ധവസ്ത്രം ഉണ്ടാക്കേണം.

4. This is what they are to make: a priest's bag, an ephod, and a robe, and a coat of coloured needlework, a head-dress, and a linen band; they are to make holy robes for Aaron your brother and for his sons, so that they may do the work of priests for me.

5. അതിന്നു പൊന്നു, നീലനൂല്, ധൂമ്രനൂല്, ചുവപ്പുനൂല്, പിരിച്ച പഞ്ഞിനൂല് എന്നിവ എടുക്കേണം.

5. They are to take the gold and blue and purple and red and the best linen,

6. പൊന്നു, നീലനൂല്, ധൂമ്രനൂല്, ചുവപ്പുനൂല്, പിരിച്ച പഞ്ഞിനൂല് എന്നിവകൊണ്ടു നെയ്ത്തുകാരന്റെ ചിത്രപ്പണിയായി ഏഫോദ് ഉണ്ടാക്കേണം.

6. And make the ephod of gold and blue and purple and red and the best linen, the work of a designer.

7. അതിന്റെ രണ്ടു അറ്റത്തോടു ചേര്ന്നതായി രണ്ടു ചുമല്ക്കണ്ടം ഉണ്ടായിരിക്കേണം. അങ്ങനെ അതു തമ്മില് ഇണെച്ചിരിക്കേണം.

7. It is to have two bands stitched to it at the top of the arms, joining it together.

8. അതു കെട്ടിമുറുക്കുവാന് അതിന്മേലുള്ളതായി ചിത്രപ്പണിയായ നടുക്കെട്ടു അതില്നിന്നു തന്നേ അതിന്റെ പണിപോലെ പൊന്നു, നീലനൂല്, ധൂമ്രനൂല്, ചുവപ്പുനൂല്, പിരിച്ച പഞ്ഞിനൂല് എന്നിവകൊണ്ടു ആയിരിക്കേണം.

8. And the beautifully worked band, which goes on it, is to be of the same work and the same material, of gold and blue and purple and red and twisted linen-work.

9. അതു കൂടാതെ രണ്ടു ഗോമേദകക്കല്ലു എടുത്തു അവയില് യിസ്രായേല്മക്കളുടെ പേര് കൊത്തേണം.

9. You are to take two beryl stones, on which the names of the children of Israel are to be cut:

10. അവരുടെ പേരുകളില് ആറു ഒരുകല്ലിലും ശേഷമുള്ള ആറു മറ്റെ കല്ലിലും അവരുടെ ജനനക്രമത്തില് ആയിരിക്കേണം.

10. Six names on the one stone and six on the other, in the order of their birth.

11. രത്നശില്പിയുടെ പണിയായി മുദ്രക്കൊത്തുപോലെ രണ്ടു കല്ലിലും യിസ്രായേല് മക്കളുടെ പേര് കൊത്തേണം; അവ പൊന്തടങ്ങളില് പതിക്കേണം;

11. With the work of a jeweller, like the cutting of a stamp, the names of the children of Israel are to be cut on them, and they are to be fixed in twisted frames of gold.

12. കല്ലു രണ്ടും ഏഫോദിന്റെ ചുമല്ക്കണ്ടങ്ങളിന്മേല് യിസ്രായേല്മക്കള്ക്കു വേണ്ടി ഔര്മ്മക്കല്ലായി വെക്കേണം; അഹരോന് യഹോവയുടെ മുമ്പാകെ അവരുടെ പേര് ഔര്മ്മക്കായി തന്റെ രണ്ടു ചുമലിന്മേലും വഹിക്കേണം.

12. And the two stones are to be placed on the ephod, over the arm-holes, to be stones of memory for the children of Israel: Aaron will have their names on his arms when he goes in before the Lord, to keep the Lord in mind of them.

13. പൊന്നുകൊണ്ടു തടങ്ങള് ഉണ്ടാക്കേണം.

13. And you are to make twisted frames of gold;

14. തങ്കംകൊണ്ടു ചരടുപോലെ മുറിച്ചുകുത്തുപണിയായി രണ്ടു സരപ്പളിയും ഉണ്ടാക്കേണം; മുറിച്ചു കുത്തുപണിയായ സരപ്പളി തടങ്ങളില് ചേര്ക്കേണം.

14. And two chains of the best gold, twisted like cords; and have the chains fixed on to the frames.

15. ന്യായവിധിപ്പതക്കം ചിത്രപ്പണിയായിട്ടു ഉണ്ടാക്കേണം; അതു ഏഫോദിന്റെ പണിക്കൊത്തതായി പൊന്നു, നീലനൂല്, ധൂമ്രനൂല്, ചുവപ്പുനൂല്, പിരിച്ച പഞ്ഞിനൂല് എന്നിവ കൊണ്ടു ഉണ്ടാക്കേണം.

15. And make a priest's bag for giving decisions, designed like the ephod, made of gold and blue and purple and red and the best linen.

16. അതു സമചതുരവും ഇരട്ടയും ഒരു ചാണ് നീളമുള്ളതും ഒരു ചാണ് വീതിയുള്ളതും ആയിരിക്കേണം.

16. It is to be square, folded in two, a hand-stretch long and a hand-stretch wide.

17. അതില് കല്പതിപ്പായി നാലു നിര കല്ലു പതിക്കേണം; താമ്രമണി, പീതരത്നം, മരതകം എന്നിവ ഒന്നാമത്തെ നിര.

17. And on it you are to put four lines of jewels; the first line is to be a cornelian, a chrysolite, and an emerald;

18. രണ്ടാമത്തെ നിരമാണിക്യം, നീലക്കല്ലു, വജ്രം.

18. The second, a ruby, a sapphire, and an onyx;

19. മൂന്നാമത്തെ നിരപത്മരാഗം, വൈഡൂര്യം, സുഗന്ധിക്കല്ലു.

19. The third, a jacinth, an agate, and an amethyst;

20. നാലാമത്തെ നിരപുഷ്പരാഗം, ഗോമേദകം, സൂര്യകാന്തം. അവ അതതു തടത്തില്പൊന്നില് പതിച്ചിരിക്കേണം.

20. The fourth, a topaz, a beryl, and a jasper; they are to be fixed in twisted frames of gold.

21. ഈ കല്ലു യിസ്രായേല്മക്കളുടെ പേരോടുകൂടെ അവരുടെ പേര്പോലെ പന്ത്രണ്ടായിരിക്കേണം; പന്ത്രണ്ടു ഗോത്രങ്ങളില് ഔരോന്നിന്റെ പേര് അവയില് മുദ്രക്കൊത്തായി കൊത്തിയിരിക്കേണം.

21. The jewels are to be twelve in number, for the names of the children of Israel; every jewel having the name of one of the twelve tribes cut on it as on a stamp.

22. പതക്കത്തിന്നു ചരടുപോലെ മുറിച്ചുകുത്തുപണിയായി തങ്കംകൊണ്ടു സരപ്പളി ഉണ്ടാക്കേണം.

22. And you are to make two chains of gold, twisted like cords, to be fixed to the priest's bag.

23. പതക്കത്തിന്നു പൊന്നുകൊണ്ടു രണ്ടു വട്ടക്കണ്ണി ഉണ്ടാക്കി പതക്കത്തിന്റെ രണ്ടു അറ്റത്തും വട്ടക്കണ്ണി വെക്കേണം.

23. And put two gold rings on the two ends of the bag.

24. പൊന്നുകൊണ്ടു മുറിച്ചുകുത്തുപണിയായ സരപ്പളി രണ്ടും പതക്കത്തിന്റെ അറ്റങ്ങളില് ഉള്ള വട്ടക്കണ്ണി രണ്ടിലും കൊളുത്തേണം.

24. Put the two gold chains on the two rings at the ends of the bag;

25. മുറിച്ചുകുത്തുപണിയായ രണ്ടു സരപ്പളിയുടെ മറ്റേ അറ്റം രണ്ടും രണ്ടു തടത്തില് കൊളുത്തി ഏഫോദിന്റെ ചുമല്ക്കണ്ടങ്ങളില് അതിന്റെ മുന് ഭാഗത്തു വെക്കേണം.

25. Joining the other ends of the chains to the gold frames and putting them on the front of the ephod, at the top of the arms.

26. പൊന്നുകൊണ്ടു രണ്ടു വട്ടക്കണ്ണി ഉണ്ടാക്കി പതക്കത്തിന്റെ മറ്റേ രണ്ടു അറ്റത്തും ഏഫോദിന്റെ കീഴറ്റത്തിന്നു നേരെ അതിന്റെ വിളുമ്പില് അകത്തായി വെക്കേണം.

26. Then make two gold rings and put them on the lower ends of the bag, at the edge of it on the inner side nearest to the ephod.

27. പൊന്നുകൊണ്ടു വേറെ രണ്ടു വട്ടക്കണ്ണി ഉണ്ടാക്കി, ഏഫോദിന്റെ മുന് ഭാഗത്തു അതിന്റെ രണ്ടു ചുമല്ക്കണ്ടത്തിന്മേല് താഴെ അതിന്റെ ഇണെപ്പിന്നരികെ ഏഫോദിന്റെ നടുക്കെട്ടിന്നു മേലായി വെക്കേണം.

27. And make two more gold rings and put them on the front of the ephod at the top of the arms, at the join, over the worked band:

28. പതക്കം ഏഫോദിന്റെ നടുക്കെട്ടിന്നു മേലായിരിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നും ഏഫോദില് ആടാതിരിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നും അതിന്റെ വട്ടക്കണ്ണികളാല് ഏഫോദിന്റെ വട്ടക്കണ്ണികളോടു നീലനാടകൊണ്ടു കെട്ടേണം.

28. So that the rings on the bag may be fixed to the rings of the ephod by a blue cord and on to the band of the ephod, so that the bag may not come loose from the ephod.

29. അങ്ങനെ അഹരോന് വിശുദ്ധമന്ദിരത്തില് കടക്കുമ്പോള് ന്യായവിധിപ്പതക്കത്തില് യിസ്രായേല്മക്കളുടെ പേര് എപ്പോഴും യഹോവയുടെ മുമ്പാകെ ഔര്മ്മെക്കായിട്ടു തന്റെ ഹൃദയത്തിന്മേല് വഹിക്കേണം.

29. And so Aaron will have the names of the children of Israel on the priest's bag over his heart whenever he goes into the holy place, to keep the memory of them before the Lord.

30. ന്യായവിധിപ്പതക്കത്തിന്നകത്തു ഊറീമും തുമ്മീമും (വെളിപ്പാടും സത്യവും) വെക്കേണം; അഹരോന് യഹോവയുടെ സന്നിധാനത്തിങ്കല് കടക്കുമ്പോള് അവന്റെ ഹൃദയത്തിന്മേല് ഇരിക്കേണം; അഹരോന് യിസ്രായേല്മക്കള്ക്കുള്ള ന്യായവിധി എപ്പോഴും യഹോവയുടെ മുമ്പാകെ തന്റെ ഹൃദയത്തിന്മേല് വഹിക്കേണം.

30. And in the bag you are to put the Urim and Thummim, so that they may be on Aaron's heart whenever he goes in before the Lord; and Aaron may have the power of making decisions for the children of Israel before the Lord at all times.

31. ഏഫോദിന്റെ അങ്കി മുഴുവനും നീല നൂല്കൊണ്ടു ഉണ്ടാക്കേണം.

31. The robe which goes with the ephod is to be made all of blue;

32. അതിന്റെ നടുവില് തല കടപ്പാന് ഒരു ദ്വാരം വേണം; ദ്വാരത്തിന്നു നെയ്ത്തുപണിയായ ഒരു നാട ചുറ്റിലും വേണം; അതു കീറിപ്പോകാതിരിപ്പാന് കവചത്തിന്റെ ദ്വാരംപോലെ അതിന്നു ഉണ്ടായിരിക്കേണം.

32. With a hole at the top, in the middle of it; the hole is to be edged with a band to make it strong like the hole in the coat of a fighting-man, so that it may not be broken open.

33. നീലനൂല്, ധൂമ്രനൂല്, ചുവപ്പുനൂല് എന്നിവകൊണ്ടു ചുറ്റും അതിന്റെ വിളുമ്പില് മാതളപ്പഴങ്ങളും അവയുടെ ഇടയില് ചുറ്റും പൊന്നുകൊണ്ടു മണികളും ഉണ്ടാക്കേണം.

33. And round the skirts of it put fruits in blue and purple and red, with bells of gold between;

34. അങ്കിയുടെ വിളുമ്പില് ചുറ്റും ഒരു പൊന്മണി ഒരു മാതളപ്പഴം, ഒരു പൊന്മണി ഒരു മാതളപ്പഴം, ഇങ്ങനെ വേണം.

34. A gold bell and a fruit in turn all round the skirts of the robe.

35. ശുശ്രൂഷ ചെയ്കയില് അഹരോന് അതു ധരിക്കേണം. യഹോവയുടെ മുമ്പാകെ വിശുദ്ധമന്ദിരത്തില് കടക്കുമ്പോഴും പുറത്തുവരുമ്പോഴും അവന് മരിക്കാതിരിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു അതിന്റെ ശബ്ദം കേള്ക്കേണം.

35. Aaron is to put it on for his holy work; and the sound of it will be clear, when he goes into the holy place before the Lord, and when he comes out, keeping him safe from death.

36. തങ്കംകൊണ്ടു ഒരു പട്ടം ഉണ്ടാക്കി അതില് “യഹോവേക്കു വിശുദ്ധം” എന്നു മുദ്രക്കൊത്തായി കൊത്തേണം.

36. You are to make a plate of the best gold, cutting on it, as on a stamp, these words: HOLY TO THE LORD.

37. അതു മുടിമേല് ഇരിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു നീലച്ചരടുകൊണ്ടു കെട്ടേണം; അതു മുടിയുടെ മുന് ഭാഗത്തു ഇരിക്കേണം.

37. Put a blue cord on it and put it on the front of the twisted head-dress:

38. യിസ്രായേല്മക്കള് തങ്ങളുടെ സകല വിശുദ്ധ വഴിപാടുകളിലും ശുദ്ധീകരിക്കുന്ന വിശുദ്ധവസ്തുക്കളുടെ കുറ്റം അഹരോന് വഹിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു അതു അഹരോന്റെ നെറ്റിയില് ഇരിക്കേണം; യഹോവയുടെ മുമ്പാകെ അവര്ക്കും പ്രസാദം ലഭിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു അതു എപ്പോഴും അവന്റെ നെറ്റിയില് ഇരിക്കേണം.

38. And it will be over Aaron's brow, so that Aaron will be responsible for any error in all the holy offerings made by the children of Israel; it will be on his brow at all times, so that their offerings may be pleasing to the Lord.

39. പഞ്ഞിനൂല്കൊണ്ടു ഉള്ളങ്കിയും വിചിത്രപ്പണിയായി നെയ്യേണം; പഞ്ഞിനൂല്കൊണ്ടു മുടിയും ഉണ്ടാക്കേണം; നടുക്കെട്ടും ചിത്രത്തയ്യല്പണിയായിട്ടു ഉണ്ടാക്കേണം.

39. The coat is to be made of the best linen, worked in squares; and you are to make a head-dress of linen, and a linen band worked in needlework.

40. അഹരോന്റെ പുത്രന്മാര്ക്കും മഹത്വത്തിന്നും അലങ്കാരത്തിന്നുമായിട്ടു അങ്കി, നടുക്കെട്ടു, തലപ്പാവു എന്നിവ ഉണ്ടാക്കേണം.

40. And for Aaron's sons you are to make coats, and bands, and head-dresses, so that they may be clothed with glory and honour.

41. അവ നിന്റെ സഹോദരനായ അഹരോനെയും അവന്റെ പുത്രന്മാരെയും ധരിപ്പിക്കേണം; അവര് എനിക്കു പുരോഹിത ശുശ്രൂഷ ചെയ്യേണ്ടതിന്നു അവരെ അഭിഷേകവും കരപൂരണവും ചെയ്തു ശുദ്ധീകരിക്കേണം.

41. These you are to put on Aaron, your brother, and on his sons, putting oil on them, separating them and making them holy, to do the work of priests to me.

42. അവരുടെ നഗ്നത മറെപ്പാന് അവര്ക്കും ചണനൂല്കൊണ്ടു കാല്ചട്ടയും ഉണ്ടാക്കേണം; അതു അര തുടങ്ങി തുടവരെ എത്തേണം.

42. And you are to make them linen trousers, covering their bodies from the middle to the knee;

43. അഹരോനും അവന്റെ പുത്രന്മാരും വിശുദ്ധമന്ദിരത്തില് ശുശ്രൂഷ ചെയ്വാന് സമാഗമന കൂടാരത്തില് കടക്കുമ്പോഴോ യാഗപീഠത്തിന്റെ അടുക്കല് ചെല്ലുമ്പോഴോ കുറ്റം ചുമന്നു മരിക്കാതിരിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു അവര് അതു ധരിക്കേണം. അവന്നും അവന്റെ സന്തതിക്കും അതു എന്നേക്കുമുള്ള ചട്ടം ആയിരിക്കേണം.

43. Aaron and his sons are to put these on whenever they go into the Tent of meeting or come near the altar, when they are doing the work of the holy place, so that they may be free from any sin causing death: this is to be an order for him and his seed after him for ever.
