1. അതിന്നു മോശെഅവര് എന്നെ വിശ്വസിക്കാതെയും എന്റെ വാക്കു കേള്ക്കാതെയുംയഹോവ നിനക്കു പ്രത്യക്ഷനായിട്ടില്ല എന്നു പറയും എന്നുത്തരം പറഞ്ഞു.

1. Moshe replied, 'But I'm certain they won't believe me, and they won't listen to what I say, because they'll say, 'ADONAI did not appear to you.''

2. യഹോവ അവനോടുനിന്റെ കയ്യില് ഇരിക്കുന്നതു എന്തു എന്നു ചോദിച്ചു. ഒരു വടി എന്നു അവന് പറഞ്ഞു.

2. ADONAI answered him, 'What is that in your hand?' and he said, 'A staff.'

3. അതു നിലത്തിടുക എന്നു കല്പിച്ചു. അവന് നിലത്തിട്ടു; അതു ഒരു സര്പ്പമായ്തീര്ന്നു; മോശെ അതിനെ കണ്ടു ഔടിപ്പോയി.

3. He said, 'Throw it on the ground!' and he threw it on the ground. It turned into a snake, and Moshe recoiled from it.

4. യഹോവ മോശെയോടുനിന്റെ കൈ നീട്ടി അതിനെ വാലിന്നു പിടിക്ക എന്നു കല്പിച്ചു. അവന് കൈ നീട്ടി അതിനെ പിടിച്ചു; അതു അവന്റെ കയ്യില് വടിയായ്തീര്ന്നു.

4. Then ADONAI said to Moshe, 'Put your hand out and take it by the tail.' He reached out with his hand and took hold of it, and it became a staff in his hand.

5. ഇതു അബ്രാഹാമിന്റെ ദൈവവും യിസ്ഹാക്കിന്റെ ദൈവവും യാക്കോബിന്റെ ദൈവവും ആയി അവരുടെ പിതാക്കന്മാരുടെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവ നിനക്കു പ്രത്യക്ഷനായി എന്നു അവര് വിശ്വസിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു ആകുന്നു

5. 'This is so that they will believe that ADONAI, the God of their fathers, the God of Avraham, the God of Yitz'chak and the God of Ya'akov, has appeared to you!'

6. യഹോവ പിന്നെയും അവനോടുനിന്റെ കൈ മാര്വ്വിടത്തില് ഇടുക എന്നു കല്പിച്ചു. അവന് കൈ മാര്വ്വിടത്തില് ഇട്ടു; പുറത്തു എടുത്തപ്പോള് കൈ ഹിമം പോലെ വെളുത്തു കുഷ്ഠമുള്ളതായി കണ്ടു.

6. Furthermore ADONAI said to him, 'Now put your hand inside your coat.' He put his hand in his coat; and when he took it out his hand was leprous, as white as snow.

7. നിന്റെ കൈ വീണ്ടും മാര്വ്വിടത്തില് ഇടുക എന്നു കല്പിച്ചു. അവന് കൈ വീണ്ടും മാര്വ്വിടത്തില് ഇട്ടു, മാര്വ്വിടത്തില്നിന്നു പുറത്തെടുത്തപ്പോള്, അതു വീണ്ടും അവന്റെ മറ്റേ മാംസംപോലെ ആയി കണ്ടു.

7. Then God said, 'Now put your hand back in your coat.' He put his hand back in his coat; and when he took it out, it was as healthy as the rest of his body.

8. എന്നാല് അവര് വിശ്വസിക്കാതെയും ആദ്യത്തെ അടയാളം അനുസരിക്കാതെയും ഇരുന്നാല് അവര് പിന്നത്തെ അടയാളം വിശ്വസിക്കും.

8. 'If they won't believe you or heed the evidence of the first sign, they will be convinced by the second.

9. ഈ രണ്ടടയാളങ്ങളും അവര് വിശ്വസിക്കാതെയും നിന്റെ വാക്കു കേള്ക്കാതെയും ഇരുന്നാല് നീ നദിയിലെ വെള്ളം കോരി ഉണങ്ങിയ നിലത്തു ഒഴിക്കേണം; നദിയില് നിന്നു കോരിയ വെള്ളം ഉണങ്ങിയ നിലത്തു രക്തമായ്തീരും.

9. But if they aren't persuaded even by both these signs and still won't listen to what you say, then take some water from the river, and pour it on the ground. The water you take from the river will turn into blood on the dry land.'

10. മോശെ യഹോവയോടുകര്ത്താവേ, മുമ്പേ തന്നെയും നീ അടിയനോടു സംസാരിച്ചശേഷവും ഞാന് വാക്സാമര്ത്ഥ്യമുള്ളവനല്ല; ഞാന് വിക്കനും തടിച്ചനാവുള്ളവനും ആകുന്നു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

10. Moshe said to ADONAI, 'Oh, [Adonai], I'm a terrible speaker. I always have been, and I'm no better now, even after you've spoken to your servant! My words come slowly, my tongue moves slowly.'

11. അതിന്നു യഹോവ അവനോടുമനുഷ്യന്നു വായി കൊടുത്തതു ആര്? അല്ല, ഊമനെയും ചെകിടനെയും കാഴ്ചയുള്ളവനെയും കുരുടനെയും ഉണ്ടാക്കിയതു ആര്? യഹോവയായ ഞാന് അല്ലയോ? ആകയാല് നീ ചെല്ലുക;

11. ADONAI answered him, 'Who gives a person a mouth? Who makes a person dumb or deaf, keen-sighted or blind? Isn't it I, ADONAI?

12. ഞാന് നിന്റെ വായോടുകൂടെ ഇരുന്നു നീ സംസാരിക്കേണ്ടതു നിനക്കു ഉപദേശിച്ചുതരും എന്നു അരുളിച്ചെയ്തു.

12. Now, therefore, go; and I will be with your mouth and will teach you what to say.'

13. എന്നാല് അവന് കര്ത്താവേ, നിനക്കു ബോധിച്ച മറ്റാരെയെങ്കിലും അയക്കേണമേ എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു..

13. But he replied, 'Please, Lord, send someone else- anyone you want!'

14. അപ്പോള് യഹോവയുടെ കോപം മോശെയുടെ നേരെ ജ്വലിച്ചു, അവന് അരുളിച്ചെയ്തുലേവ്യനായ അഹരോന് നിന്റെ സഹോദരനല്ലയോ? അവന്നു നല്ലവണ്ണം സംസാരിക്കാമെന്നു ഞാന് അറിയുന്നു. അവന് നിന്നെ എതിരേല്പാന് പുറപ്പെട്ടുവരുന്നു; നിന്നെ കാണുമ്പോള് അവന് ഹൃദയത്തില് ആനന്ദിക്കും.

14. At this, ADONAI's anger blazed up against Moshe; he said, 'Don't you have a brother, Aharon the [Levi]? I know that he's a good speaker. In fact, here he is now, coming out to meet you; and he'll be happy to see you.

15. നീ അവനോടു സംസാരിച്ചു അവന്നു വാക്കു പറഞ്ഞു കൊടുക്കേണം. ഞാന് നിന്റെ വായോടും അവന്റെ വായോടും കൂടെ ഇരിക്കും; നിങ്ങള് ചെയ്യേണ്ടുന്നതു ഉപദേശിച്ചുതരും.

15. You will speak to him and put the words in his mouth; and I will be with your mouth and his, teaching you both what to do.

16. നിനക്കു പകരം അവന് ജനത്തോടു സംസാരിക്കും; അവന് നിനക്കു വായായിരിക്കും, നീ അവന്നു ദൈവവും ആയിരിക്കും.

16. Thus he will be your spokesman to the people, in effect; for you, he will be a mouth; and for him, you will be like God.

17. അടയാളങ്ങള് പ്രവര്ത്തിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു ഈ വടിയും നിന്റെ കയ്യില് എടുത്തുകൊള്ക.

17. Now take this staff in your hand, because you need it to perform the signs.'

18. പിന്നെ മോശെ തന്റെ അമ്മായപ്പനായ യിത്രോവിന്റെ അടുക്കല് ചെന്നു അവനോടുഞാന് പുറപ്പെട്ടു, മിസ്രയീമിലെ എന്റെ സഹോദരന്മാരുടെ അടുക്കല് ചെന്നു, അവര് ജീവനോടിരിക്കുന്നുവോ എന്നു നോക്കട്ടെ എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു. യിത്രോ മോശെയോടുസമാധാനത്തോടെ പോക എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു..

18. Moshe left, returned to Yitro his father-in-law and said to him, 'I beg you to let me go and return to my kinsmen in Egypt, to see if they are still alive.' Yitro said to Moshe, 'Go in peace.'

19. യഹോവ മിദ്യാനില്വെച്ചു മോശെയോടുമിസ്രയീമിലേക്കു മടങ്ങിപ്പോക; നിനക്കു ജീവഹാനി വരുത്തുവാന് നോക്കിയവര് എല്ലാവരും മരിച്ചുപോയി എന്നു അരുളിച്ചെയ്തു.

19. ADONAI said to Moshe in Midyan, 'Go on back to Egypt, because all the men who wanted to kill you are dead.'

20. അങ്ങനെ മോശെ തന്റെ ഭാര്യയെയും പുത്രന്മാരെയും കൂട്ടി കഴുതപ്പുറത്തുകയറ്റി മിസ്രയിംദേശത്തേക്കു മടങ്ങി; ദൈവത്തിന്റെ വടിയും മോശെ കയ്യില് എടുത്തു.

20. So Moshe took his wife and sons, put them on a donkey, and started out for Egypt. Moshe took God's staff in his hand.

21. യഹോവ മോശെയോടു അരുളിച്ചെയ്തതുനീ മിസ്രയീമില് ചെന്നെത്തുമ്പോള് ഞാന് നിന്നെ ഭരമേല്പിച്ചിട്ടുള്ള അത്ഭുതങ്ങളൊക്കെയും ഫറവോന്റെ മുമ്പാകെ ചെയ്വാന് ഔര്ത്തുകൊള്ക; എന്നാല് അവന് ജനത്തെ വിട്ടയക്കാതിരിപ്പാന് ഞാന് അവന്റെ ഹൃദയം കഠിനമാക്കും.
റോമർ 9:18

21. ADONAI said to Moshe, 'When you get back to Egypt, make sure that you do before Pharaoh every one of the wonders I have enabled you to do. Nevertheless, I am going to make him hardhearted, and he will refuse to let the people go.

22. നീ ഫറവോനോടുയഹോവ ഇപ്രകാരം അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നുയിസ്രായേല് എന്റെ പുത്രന് , എന്റെ ആദ്യജാതന് തന്നേ.
റോമർ 9:4

22. Then you are to tell Pharaoh: 'ADONAI says, 'Isra'el is my firstborn son.

23. എനിക്കു ശുശ്രൂഷ ചെയ്വാന് എന്റെ പുത്രനെ വിട്ടയക്കേണമെന്നു ഞാന് നിന്നോടു കല്പിക്കുന്നു; അവനെ വിട്ടയപ്പാന് സമ്മതിക്കുന്നില്ലെങ്കില് ഞാന് നിന്റെ പുത്രനെ, നിന്റെ ആദ്യജാതനെ തന്നേ കൊന്നുകളയും എന്നു പറക.

23. I have told you to let my son go in order to worship me, but you have refused to let him go. Well, then, I will kill your firstborn son!'''

24. എന്നാല് വഴിയില് സത്രത്തില്വെച്ചു യഹോവ അവനെ എതിരിട്ടു കൊല്ലുവാന് ഭാവിച്ചു.

24. At a lodging-place on the way, ADONAI met Moshe and would have killed him,

25. അപ്പോള് സിപ്പോരാ ഒരു കല്ക്കത്തി എടുത്തു തന്റെ മകന്റെ അഗ്രചര്മ്മം ഛേദിച്ചു അവന്റെ കാല്ക്കല് ഇട്ടുനീ എനിക്കു രക്തമണവാളന് എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

25. had not Tzipporah taken a flintstone and cut off the foreskin of her son. She threw it at his feet, saying, 'What a bloody bridegroom you are for me!'

26. ഇങ്ങനെ അവന് അവനെ വിട്ടൊഴിഞ്ഞു; ആ സമയത്താകുന്നു അവള് പരിച്ഛേദന നിമിത്തം രക്തമണവാളന് എന്നു പറഞ്ഞതു.

26. But then, God let Moshe be. She added, 'A bloody bridegroom because of the circumcision!'

27. എന്നാല് യഹോവ അഹരോനോടുനീ മരുഭൂമിയില് മോശെയെ എതിരേല്പാന് ചെല്ലുക എന്നു കല്പിച്ചു; അവന് ചെന്നു ദൈവത്തിന്റെ പര്വ്വതത്തിങ്കല്വെച്ചു അവനെ എതിരേറ്റു ചുംബിച്ചു.

27. ADONAI said to Aharon, 'Go into the desert to meet Moshe.' He went, met him at the mountain of God and kissed him.

28. യഹോവ തന്നേ ഏല്പിച്ചയച്ച വചനങ്ങളൊക്കെയും തന്നോടു കല്പിച്ച അടയാളങ്ങളൊക്കെയും മോശെ അഹരോനെ അറിയിച്ചു.

28. Moshe told him everything ADONAI had said in sending him, including all the signs he had ordered him to perform.

29. പിന്നെ മോശെയും അഹരോനും പോയി, യിസ്രായേല്മക്കളുടെ മൂപ്പന്മാരെ ഒക്കെയും കൂട്ടിവരുത്തി.

29. Then Moshe and Aharon went and gathered together all the leaders of the people of Isra'el.

30. യഹോവ മോശെയോടു കല്പിച്ച വചനങ്ങളെല്ലാം അഹരോന് പറഞ്ഞു കേള്പ്പിച്ചു, ജനം കാണ്കെ ആ അടയാളങ്ങളും പ്രവര്ത്തിച്ചു.

30. Aharon said everything ADONAI had told Moshe, who then performed the signs for the people to see.

31. അപ്പോള് ജനം വിശ്വസിച്ചു; യഹോവ യിസ്രായേല് മക്കളെ സന്ദര്ശിച്ചു എന്നും തങ്ങളുടെ കഷ്ടത കടാക്ഷിച്ചു എന്നും കേട്ടിട്ടു അവര് കുമ്പിട്ടു നമസ്കരിച്ചു.

31. The people believed; when they heard that ADONAI had remembered the people of Isra'el and seen how they were oppressed, they bowed their heads and worshipped. [(vii)]
