1. ഹൃദയത്തിലെ നിരൂപണങ്ങള് മനുഷ്യന്നുള്ളവ; നാവിന്റെ ഉത്തരമോ യഹോവയാല് വരുന്നു.

1. We humans make plans, but the LORD has the final word.

2. മനുഷ്യന്നു തന്റെ വഴികളൊക്കെയും വെടിപ്പായി തോന്നുന്നു; യഹോവയോ ആത്മാക്കളെ തൂക്കിനോക്കുന്നു.

2. We may think we know what is right, but the LORD is the judge of our motives.

3. നിന്റെ പ്രവൃത്തികളെ യഹോവേക്കു സമര്പ്പിക്ക; എന്നാല് നിന്റെ ഉദ്ദേശങ്ങള് സാധിക്കും.

3. Share your plans with the LORD, and you will succeed.

4. The LORD has a reason for everything he does, and he lets evil people live only to be punished.

5. The LORD doesn't like anyone who is conceited-- you can be sure they will be punished.

6. ദയയും വിശ്വസ്തതയുംകൊണ്ടു അകൃത്യം പരിഹരിക്കപ്പെടുന്നു; യഹോവാഭക്തികൊണ്ടു മനുഷ്യര് ദോഷത്തെ വിട്ടകലുന്നു.

6. If we truly love God, our sins will be forgiven; if we show him respect, we will keep away from sin.

7. ഒരുത്തന്റെ വഴികള് യഹോവേക്കു ഇഷ്ടമായിരിക്കുമ്പോള് അവന് അവന്റെ ശത്രുക്കളെയും അവനോടു ഇണക്കുന്നു.

7. When we please the LORD, even our enemies make friends with us.

8. ന്യായരഹിതമായ വലിയ വരവിനെക്കാള് നീതിയോടെയുള്ള അല്പം നല്ലതു.

8. It's better to be honest and poor than to be dishonest and rich.

9. മനുഷ്യന്റെ ഹൃദയം തന്റെ വഴിയെ നിരൂപിക്കുന്നു; അവന്റെ കാലടികളെയോ യഹോവ ക്രമപ്പെടുത്തുന്നു.

9. We make our own plans, but the LORD decides where we will go.

10. രാജാവിന്റെ അധരങ്ങളില് അരുളപ്പാടുണ്ടു; ന്യായവിധിയില് അവന്റെ വായ് പിഴെക്കുന്നതുമില്ല.

10. Rulers speak with authority and are never wrong.

11. ഒത്ത വെള്ളിക്കോലും ത്രാസും യഹോവേക്കുള്ളവ; സഞ്ചിയിലെ പടി ഒക്കെയും അവന്റെ പ്രവൃത്തിയാകുന്നു.

11. The LORD doesn't like it when we cheat in business.

12. ദുഷ്ടത പ്രവര്ത്തിക്കുന്നതു രാജാക്കന്മാര്ക്കും വെറുപ്പു; നീതികൊണ്ടല്ലോ സിംഹാസനം സ്ഥിരപ്പെടുന്നതു.

12. Justice makes rulers powerful. They should hate evil

13. നീതിയുള്ള അധരങ്ങള് രാജാക്കന്മാര്ക്കും പ്രസാദം; നേര് പറയുന്നവനെ അവര് സ്നേഹിക്കുന്നു.

13. and like honesty and truth.

14. രാജാവിന്റെ ക്രോധം മരണദൂതന്നു തുല്യം; ജ്ഞാനമുള്ള മനുഷ്യനോ അതിനെ ശമിപ്പിക്കും.

14. An angry ruler can put you to death. So be wise! Don't make one angry.

15. രാജാവിന്റെ മുഖപ്രകാശത്തില് ജീവന് ഉണ്ടു; അവന്റെ പ്രസാദം പിന്മഴെക്കുള്ള മേഘം പോലെയാകുന്നു.

15. When a ruler is happy and pleased with you, it's like refreshing rain, and you will live.

16. തങ്കത്തെക്കാള് ജ്ഞാനത്തെ സമ്പാദിക്കുന്നതു എത്ര നല്ലതു! വെള്ളിയെക്കാള് വിവേകം സമ്പാദിക്കുന്നതു എത്ര ഉത്തമം!

16. It's much better to be wise and sensible than to be rich.

17. ദോഷം അകറ്റിനടക്കുന്നതു നേരുള്ളവരുടെ പെരുവഴി; തന്റെ വഴി സൂക്ഷിക്കുന്നവന് തന്റെ പ്രാണനെ കാത്തുകൊള്ളുന്നു.

17. God's people avoid evil ways, and they protect themselves by watching where they go.

18. നാശത്തിന്നു മുമ്പെ ഗര്വ്വം; വീഴ്ചകൂ മുമ്പെ ഉന്നതഭാവം.

18. Too much pride will destroy you.

19. ഗര്വ്വികളോടുകൂടെ കവര്ച്ച പങ്കിടുന്നതിനെക്കാള് താഴ്മയുള്ളവരോടുകൂടെ താഴ്മയുള്ളവനായിരിക്കുന്നതു നല്ലതു.

19. You are better off to be humble and poor than to get rich from what you take by force.

20. തിരുവചനം പ്രമാണിക്കുന്നവന് നന്മ കണ്ടെത്തും; യഹോവയില് ആശ്രയിക്കുന്നവന് ഭാഗ്യവാന് .

20. If you know what you're doing, you will prosper. God blesses everyone who trusts him.

21. ജ്ഞാനഹൃദയന് വിവേകി എന്നു വിളിക്കപ്പെടും; അധരമാധുര്യം വിദ്യയെ വര്ദ്ധിപ്പിക്കുന്നു.

21. Good judgment proves that you are wise, and if you speak kindly, you can teach others.

22. വിവേകം വിവേകിക്കു ജീവന്റെ ഉറവാകുന്നു. ഭോഷന്മാരുടെ പ്രബോധനമോ ഭോഷത്വം തന്നേ.

22. Good sense is a fountain that gives life, but fools are punished by their foolishness.

23. ജ്ഞാനിയുടെ ഹൃദയം അവന്റെ വായെ പഠിപ്പിക്കുന്നു; അവന്റെ അധരങ്ങള്ക്കു വിദ്യ വര്ദ്ധിപ്പിക്കുന്നു.

23. You can persuade others if you are wise and speak sensibly.

24. ഇമ്പമുള്ള വാക്കു തേന് കട്ടയാകുന്നു; മനസ്സിന്നു മധുരവും അസ്ഥികള്ക്കു ഔഷധവും തന്നേ;

24. Kind words are like honey-- they cheer you up and make you feel strong.

25. ചിലപ്പോള് ഒരു വഴി മനുഷ്യന്നു ചൊവ്വായി തോന്നുന്നു. അതിന്റെ അവസാനമോ മരണവഴികള് അത്രേ.

25. Sometimes what seems right is really a road to death.

26. പണിക്കാരന്റെ വിശപ്പു അവനെക്കൊണ്ടു പണി ചെയ്യിക്കുന്നു; അവന്റെ വായ് അവനെ അതിന്നായി നിര്ബ്ബന്ധിക്കുന്നു.

26. The hungrier you are, the harder you work.

27. Worthless people plan trouble. Even their words burn like a flaming fire.

28. Gossip is no good! It causes hard feelings and comes between friends.

29. സഹാസക്കാരന് കൂട്ടുകാരനെ വശീകരിക്കയും കൊള്ളരുതാത്ത വഴിയില് നടത്തുകയും ചെയ്യുന്നു.

29. Don't trust violent people. They will mislead you to do the wrong thing.

30. കണ്ണു അടെക്കുന്നവന് വക്രത നിരൂപിക്കുന്നു; വപ്പു കടിക്കുന്നവന് ദോഷം നിവര്ത്തിക്കുന്നു.

30. When someone winks or grins behind your back, trouble is on the way.

31. നരച്ച തല ശോഭയുള്ള കിരീടമാകുന്നു; നീതിയുടെ മാര്ഗ്ഗത്തില് അതിനെ പ്രാപിക്കാം.

31. Gray hair is a glorious crown worn by those who have lived right.

32. ദീര്ഘക്ഷമയുള്ളവന് യുദ്ധവീരനിലും ജിതമാനസന് പട്ടണം പിടിക്കുന്നവനിലും ശ്രേഷ്ഠന് .

32. Controlling your temper is better than being a hero who captures a city.

33. ചീട്ടു മടിയില് ഇടുന്നു; അതിന്റെ വിധാനമോ യഹോവയാലത്രേ.
