1. ദരിദ്രന്മാരുടെ ന്യായം മറിച്ചുകളവാനും എന്റെ ജനത്തിലെ എളിയവരുടെ അവകാശം ഇല്ലാതാക്കുവാനും വിധവമാര് തങ്ങള്ക്കു കൊള്ളയായ്തീരുവാനും അനാഥന്മാരെ തങ്ങള്ക്കു ഇരയാക്കുവാനും തക്കവണ്ണം

1. Cursed are those who make evil decisions, and the writers who make the records of their cruel acts:

2. നീതികെട്ട ചട്ടം നിയമിക്കുന്നവര്ക്കും അനര്ത്ഥം എഴുതിവെക്കുന്ന എഴുത്തുകാര്ക്കും അയ്യോ കഷ്ടം!

2. Who do wrong to the poor in their cause, and take away the right of the crushed among my people, so that they may have the property of widows, and get under their power those who have no father.

3. സന്ദര്ശനദിവസത്തിലും ദൂരത്തുനിന്നു വരുന്ന വിനാശത്തിങ്കലും നിങ്ങള് എന്തു ചെയ്യും? സഹായത്തിന്നായിട്ടു നിങ്ങള് ആരുടെ അടുക്കല് ഔടിപ്പോകും? നിങ്ങളുടെ മഹത്വം നിങ്ങള് എവിടെ വെച്ചുകൊള്ളും?

3. And what will you do in the day of punishment, and in the destruction which is coming from far? to whom will you go for help, and what will become of your glory?

4. അവര് ബദ്ധന്മാരുടെ കീഴെ കുനികയും ഹതന്മാരുടെ കീഴെ വീഴുകയും ചെയ്കേയുള്ളു. ഇതെല്ലാംകൊണ്ടും അവന്റെ കോപം അടങ്ങാതെ അവന്റെ കൈ ഇനിയും നീട്ടിയിരിക്കും.

4. ... For all this his wrath is not turned away, but his hand is stretched out still.

5. എന്റെ കോപത്തിന്റെ കോലായ അശ്ശൂരിന്നു അയ്യോ കഷ്ടം! അവരുടെ കയ്യിലെ വടി എന്റെ ക്രോധം ആകുന്നു.

5. Ho! Assyrian, the rod of my wrath, the instrument of my punishment!

6. ഞാന് അവനെ അശുദ്ധമായോരു ജാതിക്കു നേരെ അയക്കും; എന്റെ ക്രോധം വഹിക്കുന്ന ജനത്തിന്നു വിരോധമായി ഞാന് അവന്നു കല്പന കൊടുക്കും; അവരെ കൊള്ളയിടുവാനും കവര്ച്ച ചെയ്വാനും തെരുവീഥിയിലെ ചെളിയെപ്പോലെ ചവിട്ടിക്കളവാനും തന്നേ.

6. I will send him against a nation of wrongdoers, and against the people of my wrath I will give him orders, to take their wealth in war, crushing them down like the dust in the streets.

7. അവനോ അങ്ങനെയല്ല നിരൂപിക്കുന്നതു; തന്റെ ഹൃദയത്തില് അങ്ങനെയല്ല വിചാരിക്കുന്നതു; നശിപ്പിപ്പാനും അനേകം ജാതികളെ ഛേദിച്ചുകളവാനുമത്രേ അവന്റെ താല്പര്യം.

7. But this is not what is in his mind, and this is not his design; but his purpose is destruction, and the cutting off of more and more nations.

8. അവന് പറയുന്നതുഎന്റെ പ്രഭുക്കന്മാര് ഒക്കെയും രാജാക്കന്മാരല്ലയോ?

8. For he says, Are not all my captains kings?

9. കല്നോ കര്ക്കെമീശിനെപ്പോലെയല്ലയോ? ഹമാത്ത് അര്പ്പാദിനെപ്പോലെയല്ലയോ? ശമര്യ്യ ദമ്മേശെക്കിനെപ്പോലെയല്ലയോ?

9. Will not the fate of Calno be like that of Carchemish? is not Hamath as Arpad? is not Samaria as Damascus?

10. യെരൂശലേമിലും ശമര്യ്യയിലും ഉള്ളവയെക്കാള് വിശേഷമായ ബിംബങ്ങള് ഉണ്ടായിരുന്ന മിത്ഥ്യാമൂര്ത്തികളുടെ രാജ്യങ്ങളെ എന്റെ കൈ എത്തിപ്പിടിച്ചിരിക്കെ,

10. As my hand has come on the kingdoms of the images, whose pictured images were more in number than those of Jerusalem and Samaria;

11. ഞാന് ശമര്യ്യയോടും അതിലെ മിത്ഥ്യാമൂര്ത്തികളോടും ചെയ്തതുപോലെ ഞാന് യെരൂശലേമിനോടും അതിലെ വിഗ്രഹങ്ങളോടും ചെയ്കയില്ലയോ?

11. So, as I have done to Samaria and her images, I will do to Jerusalem and her images.

12. അതുകൊണ്ടു കര്ത്താവു സീയോന് പര്വ്വതത്തിലും യെരൂശലേമിലും തന്റെ പ്രവൃത്തിയൊക്കെയും തീര്ത്തശേഷം, ഞാന് അശ്ശൂര് രാജാവിന്റെ അഹങ്കാരത്തിന്റെ ഫലത്തെയും അവന്റെ ഉന്നതഭാവത്തിന്റെ മഹിമയെയും സന്ദര്ശിക്കും.

12. For this cause it will be that, when the purpose of the Lord against Mount Zion and Jerusalem is complete, I will send punishment on the pride of the heart of the king of Assyria, and on the glory of his uplifted eyes.

13. എന്റെ കയ്യുടെ ശക്തികൊണ്ടും എന്റെ ജ്ഞാനംകൊണ്ടും ഞാന് ഇതു ചെയ്തു; ഞാന് ബുദ്ധിമാന് ; ഞാന് ജാതികളുടെ അതിരുകളെ മാറ്റുകയും അവരുടെ ഭണ്ഡാരങ്ങളെ കവര്ന്നുകളകയും പരാക്രമിയെപ്പോലെ സിംഹാസനസ്ഥന്മാരെ താഴ്ത്തുകയും ചെയ്തിരിക്കുന്നു.

13. For he has said, By the strength of my hand I have done it, and by my knowledge, for I am wise: and I have taken away the limits of the peoples' lands, and the stores of their wealth have become mine; and I have made towns low in the dust, sending destruction on those living in them;

14. എന്റെ കൈ ജാതികളുടെ ധനത്തെ ഒരു പക്ഷിക്കൂടിനെപ്പോലെ എത്തിപ്പടിച്ചു; ഉപേക്ഷിച്ചുകളഞ്ഞ മുട്ടകളെ ശേഖരിക്കുന്നതുപോലെ, ഞാന് സര്വ്വഭൂമിയെയും കൂട്ടിച്ചേര്ത്തു; ചിറകു അനക്കുകയോ ചുണ്ടു തുറക്കുകയോ ചിലെക്കുകയോ ചെയ്വാന് ഒന്നും ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നില്ല എന്നു അവന് പറയുന്നുവല്ലോ.

14. And I have put my hands on the wealth of the peoples, as on the place where a bird has put her eggs; and as a man may take the eggs from which a bird has gone, so I have taken all the earth for myself: and not a wing was moved, and not a mouth gave out a sound.

15. വെട്ടുന്നവനോടു കോടാലി വമ്പു പറയുമോ? വലിക്കുന്നവനോടു ഈര്ച്ചവാള് വലിപ്പം കാട്ടുമോ? അതോ, പിടിക്കുന്നവനെ വടി പൊക്കുന്നതുപോലെയും മരമല്ലാത്തവനെ കോല് പൊന്തിക്കുന്നതുപോലെയും ആകുന്നു.

15. Will the axe say high-sounding words against him who is using it, or the blade be full of pride against him who is cutting with it? As if a rod had the power of shaking him who is using it, or as if a stick might take up him who is not wood.

16. അതുകൊണ്ടു സൈന്യങ്ങളുടെ യഹോവയായ കര്ത്താവു അവന്റെ പുഷ്ടന്മാരുടെ ഇടയില് ക്ഷയം അയക്കും; അവന്റെ മഹത്വത്തിന് കീഴെ തീ കത്തുംപോലെ ഒന്നു കത്തും.

16. For this cause the Lord, the Lord of armies, will make his fat become wasted; and in his inner parts a fire will be lighted like a burning flame.

17. യിസ്രായേലിന്റെ വെളിച്ചം ഒരു തീയായും അവന്റെ പരിശുദ്ധന് ഒരു ജ്വാലയായും ഇരിക്കും; അതു കത്തി, ഒരു ദിവസംകൊണ്ടു അവന്റെ മുള്ളും പറക്കാരയും ദഹിപ്പിച്ചുകളയും.

17. And the light of Israel will be for a fire, and his Holy One for a flame: wasting and burning up his thorns in one day.

18. അവന് അവന്റെ കാട്ടിന്റെയും തോട്ടത്തിന്റെയും മഹത്വത്തെ ദേഹിദേഹവുമായി നശിപ്പിക്കും; അതു ഒരു രോഗി ക്ഷയിച്ചു പോകുന്നതു പോലെയിരിക്കും.

18. And he will put an end to the glory of his woods and of his planted fields, soul and body together; and it will be as when a man is wasted by disease.

19. അവന്റെ കാട്ടില് ശേഷിച്ചിരിക്കുന്ന വൃക്ഷങ്ങള് ചുരുക്കം ആയിരിക്കും; ഒരു ബാലന്നു അവയെ എണ്ണി എഴുതാം.

19. And the rest of the trees of his wood will be small in number, so that a child may put them down in writing.

20. അന്നാളില് യിസ്രായേലില് ശേഷിച്ചവരും യാക്കോബ്ഗൃഹത്തിലെ രക്ഷിതഗണവും തങ്ങളെ അടിച്ചവനെ ഇനി ആശ്രയിക്കാതെ, യിസ്രായേലിന്റെ പരിശുദ്ധനായ യഹോവയെ പരമാര്ത്ഥമായി ആശ്രയിക്കും.

20. And it will be in that day that the rest of Israel, and those of Jacob who have come safely through these troubles, will no longer go for help to him whose rod was on their back, but their faith will be in the Lord, the Holy One of Israel.

21. ഒരു ശേഷിപ്പു മടങ്ങിവരും (ശെയാര്-യാശൂബ്); യാക്കോബിന്റെ ശേഷിപ്പു വീരനാം ദൈവത്തിങ്കലേക്കു മടങ്ങിവരും.

21. The rest, even the rest of Jacob, will come back to the Strong God.

22. യിസ്രായേലേ, നിന്റെ ജനം കടല്ക്കരയിലെ മണല്പോലെ ആയിരുന്നാലും അതില് ഒരു ശേഷിപ്പു മാത്രം മടങ്ങിവരും; നീതിയെ പ്രവഹിക്കുന്നതായോരു സംഹാരം നിര്ണ്ണയിക്കപ്പെട്ടിരിക്കുന്നു.
റോമർ 9:27-28

22. For though your people, O Israel, are as the sand of the sea, only a small number will come back: for the destruction is fixed, overflowing in righteousness.

23. എങ്ങനെ എന്നാല് സൈന്യങ്ങളുടെ യഹോവയായ കര്ത്താവു സര്വ്വഭൂമിയുടെയും മദ്ധ്യേ നിര്ണ്ണയിക്കപ്പെട്ട സംഹാരം വരുത്തും.
റോമർ 9:27-28

23. For the Lord, the Lord of armies, is about to make destruction complete in all the land.

24. അതുകൊണ്ടു സൈന്യങ്ങളുടെ യഹോവയായ കര്ത്താവു ഇപ്രകാരം അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നുസീയോനില് വസിക്കുന്ന എന്റെ ജനമേ, അശ്ശൂര് വടികൊണ്ടു നിന്നെ അടിക്കയും മിസ്രയീമിലെ വിധത്തില് നിന്റെ നേരെ ചൂരല് ഔങ്ങുകയും ചെയ്താലും നീ അവനെ ഭയപ്പെടേണ്ടാ.

24. For this cause the Lord, the Lord of armies, says, O my people living in Zion, have no fear of the Assyrian, even if his rod comes on your back, and his stick is lifted up as in Egypt.

25. ഇനി കുറഞ്ഞോന്നു കഴിഞ്ഞിട്ടു എന്റെ ക്രോധവും അവരുടെ സംഹാരത്തോടെ എന്റെ കോപവും തിര്ന്നു പോകും.

25. For in a very short time my passion will be over, and my wrath will be turned to their destruction.

26. ഔറേബ് പാറെക്കരികെ വെച്ചുള്ള മിദ്യാന്റെ സംഹാരത്തില് എന്നപോലെ സൈന്യങ്ങളുടെ യഹോവ അവന്റെ നേരെ ഒരു ചമ്മട്ടിയെ പൊക്കും; അവന് തന്റെ വടി സമുദ്രത്തിന്മേല് നീട്ടും; മിസ്രയീമില് ചെയ്തതുപോലെ അതിനെ ഔങ്ങും.

26. And the Lord of armies will be shaking a whip against him, as when he overcame Midian at the rock of Oreb: and his rod will be lifted up against them as it was against the Egyptians.

27. അന്നാളില് അവന്റെ ചുമടു നിന്റെ തോളില്നിന്നും അവന്റെ നുകം നിന്റെ കഴുത്തില് നിന്നും നീങ്ങിപ്പോകും; പുഷ്ടിനിമിത്തം നുകം തകര്ന്നുപോകും.

27. And in that day the weight which he put on your back will be taken away, and his yoke broken from off your neck.

28. അവന് അയ്യാത്തില് എത്തി, മിഗ്രോനില്കൂടി കടന്നു; മിക്മാശില് തന്റെ പടക്കോപ്പു വെച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു.

28. He has gone up from Pene-Rimmon, he has come to Aiath; he has gone past Migron, at Michmash he puts his forces in order.

29. അവര് ചുരം കടന്നു; ഗേബയില് രാപാര്ത്തു; റാമാ നടുങ്ങുന്നു; ശൌലിന്റെ ഗിബെയാ ഔടിപ്പോയി.

29. They have gone across the mountain; Geba will be our resting-place tonight, they say: Ramah is shaking with fear; Gibeah of Saul has gone in flight.

30. ഗല്ലീംപുത്രീ, ഉറക്കെ നിലവിളിക്ക; ലയേശേ, ശ്രദ്ധിച്ചുകേള്ക്ക; അനാഥോത്തേ, ഉത്തരം പറക.

30. Give a loud cry, daughter of Gallim; let Laishah give ear; let Anathoth give answer to her.

31. മദ്മേനാ ഔട്ടം തുടങ്ങിയിരിക്കുന്നു; ഗെബീംനിവാസികള് ഔട്ടത്തിന്നു വട്ടംകൂട്ടുന്നു.

31. Madmenah has gone; the men of Gebim are putting their goods in a safe place.

32. ഇന്നു അവന് നോബില് താമസിക്കും; യെരൂശലേംഗിരിയായ സീയോന് പുത്രിയുടെ പര്വ്വതത്തിന്റെ നേരെ അവന് കൈ കുലുക്കുന്നു.

32. This very day he is stopping at Nob; he is shaking his hand against the mountain of the daughter of Zion, the hill of Jerusalem.

33. സൈന്യങ്ങളുടെ യഹോവയായ കര്ത്താവു കൊമ്പുകളെ ഭയങ്കരമായി മുറിച്ചുകളയും; പൊക്കത്തില് വളര്ന്നവയെ അവന് വെട്ടിയിടുകയും ഉയര്ന്നവയെ താഴ്ത്തുകയും ചെയ്യും.

33. See, the Lord, the Lord of armies, is cutting off his branches with a great noise, and his strong ones are falling and his high ones are coming down.

34. അവന് വനത്തിലെ പള്ളക്കാടുകളെ ഇരിമ്പായുധംകൊണ്ടു വെട്ടിക്കളയും; ലെബാനോനും ബലവാന്റെ കയ്യാല് വീണുപോകും.

34. And he is cutting down the thick places of the wood with an axe, and Lebanon with its tall trees is coming down.
