1. നീതിമാന് നശിക്കുന്നു; ആരും അതു ഗണ്യമാക്കുന്നില്ല; ഭക്തന്മാരും കഴിഞ്ഞുപോകുന്നു; നീതിമാന് അനര്ത്ഥത്തിന്നു മുന് പെ കഴിഞ്ഞുപോകുന്നു എന്നു ആരും ഗ്രഹിക്കുന്നില്ല

1. The righteous man perishes, and no man lays it to heart. And merciful men are taken away; none considering that the righteous man is taken away from the evil to come.

2. അവന് സമാധാനത്തിലേക്കു പ്രവേശിക്കുന്നു; നേരായി നടക്കുന്നവരൊക്കെയും താന് താന്റെ കിടക്കയില് വിശ്രാമം പ്രാപിക്കുന്നു

2. He enters into peace. They rest in their beds, each one who walks in his uprightness.

3. ക്ഷുദ്രക്കാരത്തിയുടെ മക്കളേ, വ്യഭിചാരിയുടെയും വേശ്യയുടെയും സന് തതിയേ; ഇങ്ങോട്ടു അടുത്തുവരുവിന്

3. But draw near here, ye sons of the sorceress, the seed of the adulterer and the harlot.

4. നിങ്ങള് ആരെയാകുന്നു കളിയാക്കുന്നതു? ആരുടെനേരെയാകുന്നു നിങ്ങള് വായ്പിളര്ന്നു നാകൂ നീട്ടുന്നതു? നിങ്ങള് അതിക്രമക്കാരും വ്യാജസന് തതിയും അല്ലയോ?

4. Against whom do ye sport yourselves, against whom ye make a wide mouth, and put out the tongue? Are ye not children of transgression, a seed of falsehood,

5. നിങ്ങള് കരുവേലങ്ങള്ക്കരികത്തും ഔരോ പച്ചമരത്തിന് കീഴിലും ജ്വലിച്ചു, പാറപ്പിളര്പ്പുകള്ക്കു താഴെ തോട്ടുവക്കത്തുവെച്ചു കുഞ്ഞുങ്ങളെ അറുക്കുന്നുവല്ലോ

5. ye who inflame yourselves among the oaks, under every green tree, who kill the children in the valleys, under the clefts of the rocks?

6. തോട്ടിലെ മിനുസമുള്ള കല്ലു നിന്റെ പങ്കു; അതു തന്നേ നിന്റെ ഔഹരി; അതിന്നല്ലോ നീ പാനീയ ബലി പകര്ന്നു ഭോജനബലി അര്പ്പിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നതു? ഈ വക കണ്ടിട്ടു ഞാന് ക്ഷമിച്ചിരിക്കുമോ?

6. Among the smooth stones of the valley is thy portion. They, they are thy lot, even to them thou have poured a drink-offering; thou have offered an oblation. Shall I be appeased for these things?

7. പൊക്കവും ഉയരവും ഉള്ള മലയില് നീ നിന്റെ കിടക്ക വിരിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു; അവിടേക്കു തന്നേ നീ ബലികഴിപ്പാന് കയറിച്ചെന്നു

7. Upon a high and lofty mountain thou have set thy bed. Thou also went up there to offer sacrifice.

8. കതകിന്നും കട്ടിളെക്കും പുറകില് നീ നിന്റെ അടയാളം വെച്ചു, നീ എന്നെ വിട്ടു ചെന്നു മറ്റുള്ളവര്കൂ നിന്നെത്തന്നേ അനാവൃതയാക്കി കയറി നിന്റെ കിടക്ക വിസ്താരമാക്കി അവരുമായി ഉടന് പടി ചെയ്തു അവരുടെ ശയനം കൊതിച്ചു ആംഗ്യം നോക്കിക്കൊണ്ടിരുന്നു

8. And behind the doors and the posts thou have set up thy memorial. For thou have uncovered thyself to another than me, and have gone up. Thou have enlarged thy bed, and made thee a covenant with them. Thou loved their bed where thou saw it.

9. നീ തൈലവുംകൊണ്ടു മോലെക്കിന്റെ അടുക്കല് ചെന്നു, നിന്റെ പരിമളവര്ഗ്ഗം ധാരാളം ചെലവു ചെയ്തു, നിന്റെ ദൂതന്മാരെ ദൂരത്തയച്ചു പാതാളത്തോളം ഇറങ്ങിച്ചെന്നു

9. And thou went to the king with oil, and increased thy perfumes, and sent thine ambassadors far off, and debased thyself even to Sheol.

10. വഴിയുടെ ദൂരംകൊണ്ടു നീ തളര്ന്നുപോയിട്ടും അതു നിഷ്ഫലമെന്നു നീ പറഞ്ഞില്ല; നിന്റെ കൈവശം ജീവശക്തി കണ്ടതുകൊണ്ടു നിനക്കു ക്ഷീണം തോന്നിയില്ല

10. Thou were wearied with the length of thy way, yet thou did not say, It is in vain. Thou found a quickening of thy strength, therefore thou were not faint.

11. കപടം കാണിപ്പാനും എന്നെ ഔര്ക്കയോ കൂട്ടാക്കുകയോ ചെയ്യാതിരിപ്പാനും നീ ആരെയാകുന്നു ശങ്കിച്ചു ഭയപ്പെട്ടതു? ഞാന് ബഹുകാലം മിണ്ടാതെ ഇരുന്നിട്ടല്ലയോ നീ എന്നെ ഭയപ്പെടാതിരിക്കുന്നതു?

11. And of whom have thou been afraid and in fear, that thou lie, and have not remembered me, nor laid it to thy heart? Have I not held my peace even of long time, and thou do not fear me?

12. നിന്റെ നീതി ഞാന് വെളിച്ചത്താക്കും; നിന്റെ പ്രവൃത്തികളോ നിനക്കു പ്രയോജനമാകയില്ല

12. I will declare thy righteousness. And as for thy works, they shall not profit thee.

13. നീ നിലവിളിക്കുന് പോള് നിന്റെ വിഗ്രഹസമൂഹം നിന്നെ രക്ഷിക്കട്ടെ; എന്നാല് അവയെ ഒക്കെയും കാറ്റു പാറ്റിക്കൊണ്ടുപോകും; ഒരു ശ്വാസം അവയെ നീക്കിക്കളയും; എങ്കിലും എന്നെ ആശ്രയിക്കുന്നവന് ദേശത്തെ അവകാശമാക്കി എന്റെ വിശുദ്ധപര്വ്വതത്തെ കൈവശമാക്കും

13. When thou cry, let those whom thou have gathered deliver thee. But the wind shall take them; a breath shall carry them all away. But he who takes refuge in me shall possess the land, and shall inherit my holy mountain.

14. നികത്തുവിന് , നികത്തുവിന് , വഴി ഒരുക്കുവിന് ; എന്റെ ജനത്തിന്റെ വഴിയില് നിന്നു ഇടര്ച്ച നീക്കിക്കളവിന് എന്നു അവന് അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നു

14. And he will say, Cast ye up, cast ye up, prepare the way. Take up the stumbling-block out of the way of my people.

15. ഉന്നതനും ഉയര്ന്നിരിക്കുന്നവനും ശാശ്വതവാസിയും പരിശുദ്ധന് എന്നു നാമമുള്ളവനുമായവന് ഇപ്രകാരം അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നുഞാന് ഉന്നതനും പരിശുദ്ധനുമായി വസിക്കുന്നു; താഴ്മയുള്ളവരുടെ മനസ്സിന്നും മനസ്താപമുള്ളവരുടെ ഹൃദയത്തിന്നും ചൈതന് യം വരുത്തുവാന് മനസ്താപവും മനോവിനയവുമുള്ളവരോടു കൂടെയും വസിക്കുന്നു

15. For thus says the high and lofty One who inhabits eternity, whose name is Holy: I dwell in the high and holy place, also with him who is of a contrite and humble spirit, to revive the spirit of the humble, and to revive the heart of the contrite.

16. ഞാന് എന്നേക്കും വാദിക്കയില്ല; എല്ലായ്പോഴും കോപിക്കയുമില്ല; അല്ലെങ്കില് അവരുടെ ആത്മാവും ഞാന് സൃഷ്ടിച്ചിട്ടുള്ള ദേഹികളും എന്റെ മുന് പില് നിന്നു ക്ഷയിച്ചു പോകുമല്ലോ

16. For I will not contend forever, nor will I always be angry, for the spirit would faint before me, and the souls that I have made.

17. അവരുടെ അത്യാഗ്രഹത്തിന്റെ അകൃത്യംനിമിത്തം ഞാന് കോപിച്ചു അവരെ അടിച്ചു; ഞാന് കോപിച്ചു മുഖം മറെച്ചു; എന്നാറെ അവര് തിരിഞ്ഞു തങ്ങള്ക്കു തോന്നിയ വഴിയില് നടന്നു

17. For the iniquity of his covetousness I was angry, and smote him. I hid my face and was angry, and he went on backsliding in the way of his heart.

18. ഞാന് അവരുടെ വഴികളെ കണ്ടിരിക്കുന്നു; ഞാന് അവരെ സൌഖ്യമാക്കും; ഞാന് അവരെ നടത്തി അവര്കൂ, അവരുടെ ദുഃഖിതന്മാര്കൂ തന്നേ, വീണ്ടും ആശ്വാസം വരുത്തും;

18. I have seen his ways, and will heal him. I will lead him also, and restore comforts to him and to his mourners.

19. ഞാന് അധരങ്ങളുടെ ഫലം സൃഷ്ടിക്കും; ദൂരസ്ഥന്നും സമീപസ്ഥന്നും സമാധാനം, സമാധാനം എന്നും ഞാന് അവരെ സൌഖ്യമാക്കും എന്നും യഹോവ അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നു

19. I create the fruit of the lips. Peace, peace, to him who is far off and to him who is near, says LORD, and I will heal him.

20. ദുഷ്ടന്മാരോ കലങ്ങിമറിയുന്ന കടല് പോലെയാകുന്നു; അതിന്നു അടങ്ങിയിരിപ്പാന് കഴികയില്ല; അതിലെ വെള്ളം ചേറും ചെളിയും മേലോട്ടു തള്ളുന്നു

20. But the wicked are like the troubled sea, for it cannot rest, and its waters cast up mire and dirt.

21. ദുഷ്ടന്മാര്കൂ സമാധാനമില്ല എന്നു എന്റെ ദൈവം അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നു

21. There is no peace, says my God, to the wicked.
