1. നീതിമാന് നശിക്കുന്നു; ആരും അതു ഗണ്യമാക്കുന്നില്ല; ഭക്തന്മാരും കഴിഞ്ഞുപോകുന്നു; നീതിമാന് അനര്ത്ഥത്തിന്നു മുന് പെ കഴിഞ്ഞുപോകുന്നു എന്നു ആരും ഗ്രഹിക്കുന്നില്ല

1. Those who are right with God die. And no one really cares about it. Men who are faithful to the Lord are swept away by trouble. And no one understands why that happens to those who do what is right.

2. അവന് സമാധാനത്തിലേക്കു പ്രവേശിക്കുന്നു; നേരായി നടക്കുന്നവരൊക്കെയും താന് താന്റെ കിടക്കയില് വിശ്രാമം പ്രാപിക്കുന്നു

2. Those who lead honest lives will enjoy peace and rest when they die.

3. ക്ഷുദ്രക്കാരത്തിയുടെ മക്കളേ, വ്യഭിചാരിയുടെയും വേശ്യയുടെയും സന് തതിയേ; ഇങ്ങോട്ടു അടുത്തുവരുവിന്

3. The Lord says, 'Come here, you children of women who practice evil magic! You are children of prostitutes and those who commit adultery.

4. നിങ്ങള് ആരെയാകുന്നു കളിയാക്കുന്നതു? ആരുടെനേരെയാകുന്നു നിങ്ങള് വായ്പിളര്ന്നു നാകൂ നീട്ടുന്നതു? നിങ്ങള് അതിക്രമക്കാരും വ്യാജസന് തതിയും അല്ലയോ?

4. Who are you making fun of? Who are you laughing at? Who are you sticking your tongue out at? You are people who refuse to obey me. You are just a bunch of liars!

5. നിങ്ങള് കരുവേലങ്ങള്ക്കരികത്തും ഔരോ പച്ചമരത്തിന് കീഴിലും ജ്വലിച്ചു, പാറപ്പിളര്പ്പുകള്ക്കു താഴെ തോട്ടുവക്കത്തുവെച്ചു കുഞ്ഞുങ്ങളെ അറുക്കുന്നുവല്ലോ

5. You burn with sinful longing among the oak trees. You worship your gods by having sex under every green tree. You sacrifice your children in the valleys. You also do it under the cliffs.

6. തോട്ടിലെ മിനുസമുള്ള കല്ലു നിന്റെ പങ്കു; അതു തന്നേ നിന്റെ ഔഹരി; അതിന്നല്ലോ നീ പാനീയ ബലി പകര്ന്നു ഭോജനബലി അര്പ്പിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നതു? ഈ വക കണ്ടിട്ടു ഞാന് ക്ഷമിച്ചിരിക്കുമോ?

6. You have chosen some of the smooth stones in the valleys to be your gods. You have joined yourselves to them. You have even poured out drink offerings to them. You have given grain offerings to them. So why should I take pity on you?

7. പൊക്കവും ഉയരവും ഉള്ള മലയില് നീ നിന്റെ കിടക്ക വിരിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു; അവിടേക്കു തന്നേ നീ ബലികഴിപ്പാന് കയറിച്ചെന്നു

7. You have made your bed to have sex on a very high hill. You went up there to offer your sacrifices.

8. കതകിന്നും കട്ടിളെക്കും പുറകില് നീ നിന്റെ അടയാളം വെച്ചു, നീ എന്നെ വിട്ടു ചെന്നു മറ്റുള്ളവര്കൂ നിന്നെത്തന്നേ അനാവൃതയാക്കി കയറി നിന്റെ കിടക്ക വിസ്താരമാക്കി അവരുമായി ഉടന് പടി ചെയ്തു അവരുടെ ശയനം കൊതിച്ചു ആംഗ്യം നോക്കിക്കൊണ്ടിരുന്നു

8. You have set up statues to remind you of your gods. You have put them behind your doors and doorposts. You deserted me. You invited other lovers into your bed. You climbed into it and welcomed them. You made a deal with them. And you looked at their naked bodies.

9. നീ തൈലവുംകൊണ്ടു മോലെക്കിന്റെ അടുക്കല് ചെന്നു, നിന്റെ പരിമളവര്ഗ്ഗം ധാരാളം ചെലവു ചെയ്തു, നിന്റെ ദൂതന്മാരെ ദൂരത്തയച്ചു പാതാളത്തോളം ഇറങ്ങിച്ചെന്നു

9. You went to the god Molech with olive oil. You took a lot of perfume along with you. You sent your messengers to places far away. You even sent them down to the place of the dead.

10. വഴിയുടെ ദൂരംകൊണ്ടു നീ തളര്ന്നുപോയിട്ടും അതു നിഷ്ഫലമെന്നു നീ പറഞ്ഞില്ല; നിന്റെ കൈവശം ജീവശക്തി കണ്ടതുകൊണ്ടു നിനക്കു ക്ഷീണം തോന്നിയില്ല

10. All of your efforts wore you out. But you would not say, 'It's hopeless.' You received new strength. So you did not give up.

11. കപടം കാണിപ്പാനും എന്നെ ഔര്ക്കയോ കൂട്ടാക്കുകയോ ചെയ്യാതിരിപ്പാനും നീ ആരെയാകുന്നു ശങ്കിച്ചു ഭയപ്പെട്ടതു? ഞാന് ബഹുകാലം മിണ്ടാതെ ഇരുന്നിട്ടല്ലയോ നീ എന്നെ ഭയപ്പെടാതിരിക്കുന്നതു?

11. 'Who are you so afraid of that you have not been true to me? You have not remembered me. You do not even care about me. I have not punished you for a long time. That is why you are not afraid of me.

12. നിന്റെ നീതി ഞാന് വെളിച്ചത്താക്കും; നിന്റെ പ്രവൃത്തികളോ നിനക്കു പ്രയോജനമാകയില്ല

12. You have not done what is right or good. I will let everyone know about it. And that will not be of any benefit to you.

13. നീ നിലവിളിക്കുന് പോള് നിന്റെ വിഗ്രഹസമൂഹം നിന്നെ രക്ഷിക്കട്ടെ; എന്നാല് അവയെ ഒക്കെയും കാറ്റു പാറ്റിക്കൊണ്ടുപോകും; ഒരു ശ്വാസം അവയെ നീക്കിക്കളയും; എങ്കിലും എന്നെ ആശ്രയിക്കുന്നവന് ദേശത്തെ അവകാശമാക്കി എന്റെ വിശുദ്ധപര്വ്വതത്തെ കൈവശമാക്കും

13. Go ahead and cry out for help to all of the statues of your gods. See if they can save you! The wind will carry them off. Just a puff of air will blow them away. But anyone who comes to me for safety will receive the land. He will possess my holy mountain of Zion.'

14. നികത്തുവിന് , നികത്തുവിന് , വഴി ഒരുക്കുവിന് ; എന്റെ ജനത്തിന്റെ വഴിയില് നിന്നു ഇടര്ച്ച നീക്കിക്കളവിന് എന്നു അവന് അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നു

14. A messenger says, 'Build up the road! Build it up! Get it ready! Remove anything that would keep my people from coming back.'

15. ഉന്നതനും ഉയര്ന്നിരിക്കുന്നവനും ശാശ്വതവാസിയും പരിശുദ്ധന് എന്നു നാമമുള്ളവനുമായവന് ഇപ്രകാരം അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നുഞാന് ഉന്നതനും പരിശുദ്ധനുമായി വസിക്കുന്നു; താഴ്മയുള്ളവരുടെ മനസ്സിന്നും മനസ്താപമുള്ളവരുടെ ഹൃദയത്തിന്നും ചൈതന് യം വരുത്തുവാന് മനസ്താപവും മനോവിനയവുമുള്ളവരോടു കൂടെയും വസിക്കുന്നു

15. The One who is highly honored lives forever. His name is holy. He says, 'I live in a high and holy place. But I also live with anyone who turns away from his sins. I live with anyone who is not proud. I give new life to him. I give it to anyone who turns away from his sins.

16. ഞാന് എന്നേക്കും വാദിക്കയില്ല; എല്ലായ്പോഴും കോപിക്കയുമില്ല; അല്ലെങ്കില് അവരുടെ ആത്മാവും ഞാന് സൃഷ്ടിച്ചിട്ടുള്ള ദേഹികളും എന്റെ മുന് പില് നിന്നു ക്ഷയിച്ചു പോകുമല്ലോ

16. I will not find fault with my people forever. I will not always be angry with them. If I were, I would cause their spirits to grow weak. The very breath of life would go out of the people I created.

17. അവരുടെ അത്യാഗ്രഹത്തിന്റെ അകൃത്യംനിമിത്തം ഞാന് കോപിച്ചു അവരെ അടിച്ചു; ഞാന് കോപിച്ചു മുഖം മറെച്ചു; എന്നാറെ അവര് തിരിഞ്ഞു തങ്ങള്ക്കു തോന്നിയ വഴിയില് നടന്നു

17. I was very angry with them. They always longed for more and more of everything. So I punished them for that sin. I turned my face away from them because I was angry. But they kept on wanting their own way.

18. ഞാന് അവരുടെ വഴികളെ കണ്ടിരിക്കുന്നു; ഞാന് അവരെ സൌഖ്യമാക്കും; ഞാന് അവരെ നടത്തി അവര്കൂ, അവരുടെ ദുഃഖിതന്മാര്കൂ തന്നേ, വീണ്ടും ആശ്വാസം വരുത്തും;

18. I have seen what they have done. But I will heal them. I will guide them. And I will comfort them just as I did before.

19. ഞാന് അധരങ്ങളുടെ ഫലം സൃഷ്ടിക്കും; ദൂരസ്ഥന്നും സമീപസ്ഥന്നും സമാധാനം, സമാധാനം എന്നും ഞാന് അവരെ സൌഖ്യമാക്കും എന്നും യഹോവ അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നു

19. Then the people of Israel who are sorry for their sins will praise me. I will give perfect peace to those who are far away and those who are near. And I will heal them,' says the Lord.

20. But those who are evil are like the rolling sea. It never rests. Its waves toss up mud and sand.
