1. യഹോവയുടെ അരുളപ്പാടു എനിക്കുണ്ടായതെന്തെന്നാല്

1. Morouer, the worde of the LORDE comaunded me thus:

2. നീ ചെന്നു യെരൂശലേം കേള്ക്കെ വിളിച്ചു പറയേണ്ടതു; യഹോവ ഇപ്രകാരം അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നു മരുഭൂമിയില്, വിതെക്കാത്ത ദേശത്തു തന്നേ, നീ എന്നെ അനുഗമിച്ചു നടന്ന നിന്റെ യൌവനത്തിലെ ഭക്തിയും വിവാഹം നിശ്ചയിച്ച കാലത്തിലെ സ്നേഹവും ഞാന് ഔര്ക്കുംന്നു.

2. Go thy waye, crie in the eares of Ierusale, & saye: Thus saieth the LORDE: I remembre the for the kyndnesse of thy youth, and because of thy stedfast loue: in that thou folowdest me thorow the wildernesse, in an vntilled londe.

3. യിസ്രായേല് യഹോവേക്കു വിശുദ്ധവും അവന്റെ വിളവിന്റെ ആദ്യഫലവും ആകുന്നു; അവനെ തിന്നുകളയുന്നവരൊക്കെയും കുറ്റക്കാരായ്തീരും; അവര്ക്കും ദോഷം വന്നു ഭവിക്കും എന്നായിരുന്നു യഹോവയുടെ അരുളപ്പാടു.

3. Thou Israel wast halowed vnto te LORDE, and so was his first frutes. All they that deuoured Israel, offended: mi?fortune fell vpon them, saieth the LORDE.

4. യാക്കോബ്ഗൃഹവും യിസ്രായേല് ഗൃഹത്തിലെ സകലവംശങ്ങളും ആയുള്ളോരേ, യഹോവയുടെ അരുളപ്പാടു കേട്ടുകൊള്വിന് .

4. Heare therfore the worde of the LORDE, O thou house of Iacob, and all the generacion of the house of Israel.

5. യഹോവ ഇപ്രകാരം അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നുനിങ്ങളുടെ പിതാക്കന്മാര് എന്നെ വിട്ടകന്നു മിത്ഥ്യാമൂര്ത്തികളോടു ചേര്ന്നു വ്യര്ത്ഥന്മാര് ആയിത്തീരുവാന് തക്കവണ്ണം അവര് എന്നില് എന്തൊരു അന്യായം കണ്ടു?

5. Thus saieth ye LORDE vnto you: What vnfaithfulnesse founde youre fathers in me, that they wente so farre awaye fro me, fallinge to lightnesse, and beinge so vayne?

6. ഞങ്ങളെ മിസ്രയീംദേശത്തുനിന്നു പുറപ്പെടുവിച്ചു, പാഴ്നിലവും കുഴികളും ഉള്ള ദേശമായി വരള്ചയും കൂരിരുളും ഉള്ള ദേശമായി മനുഷ്യസഞ്ചാരമോ ആള്പാര്പ്പോ ഇല്ലാത്ത ദേശമായ മരുഭൂമിയില്കൂടി ഞങ്ങളെ നടത്തി കൊണ്ടുവന്ന യഹോവ എവിടെ എന്നു അവര് ചോദിച്ചില്ല.

6. They thought not in their hertes: Where haue we left the LORDE, yt brought vs out of the lode of Egipte: yt led vs thorow the wildernesse, thorow a deserte and rough londe, thorow a drie and a deedly londe, yee a londe that no man had gone thorow, and wherein no man had dwelt.

7. ഞാന് നിങ്ങളെ ഫലവത്തായോരു ദേശത്തു അതിന്റെ ഫലവും ഗുണവും അനുഭവിപ്പാന് കൂട്ടിക്കൊണ്ടുവന്നു; എന്നാല് അവിടെ എത്തിയ ശേഷം നിങ്ങള് എന്റെ ദേശത്തെ അശുദ്ധമാക്കി എന്റെ അവകാശത്തെ അറെപ്പാക്കിക്കളഞ്ഞു.

7. And when I had brought you in to a pleasaunt welbuylded londe, that ye might enioye the frutes and all the comodities of the same: ye went forth and defyled my londe, & brought myne heretage to abhominacion.

8. യഹോവ എവിടെ എന്നു പുരോഹിതന്മാര് അന്വേഷിച്ചില്ല; ന്യായപ്രമാണജ്ഞന്മാര് എന്നെ അറിഞ്ഞില്ല; ഇടയന്മാര് എന്നോടു അതിക്രമം ചെയ്തുപ്രവാചകന്മാര് ബാല്മുഖാന്തരം പ്രവചിച്ചു, പ്രയോജനമില്ലാത്തവയോടു ചേര്ന്നുനടന്നു.

8. The prestes the selues saide not once: where is ye LORDE? They yt haue the lawe in their hondes, knowe me not: The shepherdes offende agaynst me. The prophetes do seruyce vnto Baal, & folowe soch thinges as shall bringe them no profit.

9. അതുകൊണ്ടു ഞാന് ഇനിയും നിങ്ങളോടു വ്യവഹരിക്കും; നിങ്ങളുടെ മക്കളുടെ മക്കളോടും ഞാന് വ്യവഹരിക്കും എന്നു യഹോവയുടെ അരുളപ്പാടു.

9. Wherfore I am constrayned (sayeth the LORDE) to make my complaynte vpon you, and vpon youre children.

10. നിങ്ങള് കിത്തീയരുടെ ദ്വീപുകളിലേക്കു കടന്നുചെന്നു നോക്കുവിന് ; കേദാരിലേക്കു ആളയച്ചു നല്ലവണ്ണം അന്വേഷിച്ചു, ഇതുപോലെ സംഭവിച്ചിട്ടുണ്ടോ എന്നു നോക്കുവിന് .

10. Go in to the Iles of Cethim, and loke wel: sende vnto Cedar, take diligent hede: and se, whether soch thinges be done there,

11. ഒരു ജാതി തന്റെ ദേവന്മാരെ മാറ്റീട്ടുണ്ടോ? അവ ദേവന്മാരല്ലതാനും; എന്നാല് എന്റെ ജനം തന്റെ മഹത്വമായവനെ പ്രയോജനമില്ലാത്തതിന്നു പകരം മാറ്റിക്കളഞ്ഞിരിക്കുന്നു.

11. whether the Gentiles themselues deale so falsly & vntruly with their goddes (which yet are no goddes in dede.) But my people hath geuen ouer their hie honoure, for a thinge that maye not helpe them.

12. ആകാശമേ, ഇതിങ്കല് വിസ്മയിച്ചു ഭ്രമിച്ചു ഏറ്റവും സ്തംഭിച്ചുപോക എന്നു യഹോവയുടെ അരുളപ്പാടു.

12. Be astonished (o ye heauens) be afrayde, & abashed at soch a thinge, saieth the LORDE.

13. എന്റെ ജനം രണ്ടു ദോഷം ചെയ്തിരിക്കുന്നുഅവര് ജീവജലത്തിന്റെ ഉറവായ എന്നെ ഉപേക്ഷിച്ചു, വെള്ളമില്ലാത്ത കിണറുകളെ, പൊട്ടക്കിണറുകളെ തന്നേ, കുഴിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു.

13. For my people hath done two euels. They haue forsake me the well of the water of life, and digged them pittes, yee vile and broken pittes, that holde no water.

14. യിസ്രായേല് ദാസനോ? വീട്ടില് പിറന്ന അടിമയോ? അവന് കവര്ച്ചയായി തീര്ന്നിരിക്കുന്നതെന്തു?

14. Is Israel a bonde seruaunt, or one of the housholde? Why is he then so spoyled?

15. ബാലസിംഹങ്ങള് അവന്റെ നേരെ അലറി നാദം കേള്പ്പിച്ചു അവന്റെ ദേശത്തെ ശൂന്യമാക്കി; അവന്റെ പട്ടണങ്ങള് വെന്തു നിവാസികള് ഇല്ലാതെയായിരിക്കുന്നു.

15. Why do they roare and crie then vpon him, as a lyon? They haue made his londe wayst, his cities are so brent vp, that there is no man dwellinge in them.

16. നോഫ്യരും തഹ'നേസ്യരും നിന്റെ നെറുകയെ തകര്ത്തുകളഞ്ഞിരിക്കുന്നു.

16. Yee the children of Noph and Taphanes haue defyled thy necke.

17. നിന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവ നിന്നെ വഴിനടത്തിയപ്പോള് അവനെ ഉപേക്ഷിക്കകൊണ്ടല്ലയോ നീ ഇതു സമ്പാദിച്ചതു?

17. Cometh not this vnto the, because thou hast forsaken the LORDE thy God, euer sence he led the by the waye?

18. ഇപ്പോഴോ, മിസ്രയീമിലേക്കുള്ള യാത്ര എന്തിന്നു? ശീഹോരിലെ വെള്ളം കുടിപ്പാനോ? അശ്ശൂരിലേക്കുള്ള യാത്ര എന്തിന്നു? ആ നദിയിലെ വെള്ളം കുടിപ്പാനോ?

18. And what hast thou now to do in ye strete of Egipte? to drinke foule water? Ether, what makest thou in the waye to Assiria? To drinke water of the floude?

19. നിന്റെ ദുഷ്ടത തന്നേ നിനക്കു ശിക്ഷയും നിന്റെ വിശ്വാസത്യാഗങ്ങള് നിനക്കു ദണ്ഡനവുമാകും; അതുകൊണ്ടു നീ നിന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവയെ ഉപേക്ഷിച്ചതും എന്റെ ഭയം നിനക്കു ഇല്ലാതിരിക്കുന്നതും എത്ര ദോഷവും കൈപ്പും ആയുള്ളതെന്നു അറിഞ്ഞു കണ്ടുകൊള്ക എന്നു സൈന്യങ്ങളുടെ യഹോവയായ കര്ത്താവിന്റെ അരുളപ്പാടു.

19. Thine owne wickednesse shal reproue the, and thy turnynge awaye shal condemne the: that thou mayest knowe and vnderstonde, how euel and hurtful a thinge it is, yt thou hast forsaken the LORDE thy God, and not feared him, saieth the LORDE God of hoostes.

20. പണ്ടു തന്നേ നീ നുകം തകര്ത്തു നിന്റെ കയറു പൊട്ടിച്ചുഞാന് അടിമവേല ചെയ്കയില്ല എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു; ഉയര്ന്ന കുന്നിന്മേല് ഒക്കെയും പച്ചയായ വൃക്ഷത്തിന് കീഴൊക്കെയും നീ വേശ്യയായി കിടന്നു.

20. I haue euer broken thy yock of olde, & bursten thy bondes: yet saiest thou, I wil nomore serue, but (like an harlot) thou runnest aboute vpon all hie hilles, & amonge all grene trees:

21. ഞാന് നിന്നെ വിശിഷ്ടമുന്തിരിവള്ളിയായി, നല്ല തൈയായി തന്നേ നട്ടിരിക്കെ നീ എനിക്കു കാട്ടുമുന്തിരിവള്ളിയുടെ തൈയായ്തീര്ന്നതു എങ്ങനെ?

21. where as I planted the out of noble grapes and good rotes. How art thou turned then into a bytter, vnfrutefull, and straunge grape?

22. നീ ധാരാളം ചവര്ക്കാരം തേച്ചു ചാരവെള്ളംകൊണ്ടു കഴുകിയാലും നിന്റെ അകൃത്യം എന്റെ മുമ്പില് മലിനമായിരിക്കുന്നു എന്നു യഹോവയായ കര്ത്താവിന്റെ അരുളപ്പാടു.

22. Yee and that so sore: that though thou wasshest the with Nitrus & makest thiself to sauoure with that swete smellinge herbe of Borith: yet in my sight thou art stayned with thy wickednesse, saieth the LORDE thy God.

23. ഞാന് മലിനയായിട്ടില്ല; ഞാന് ബാല്വിഗ്രഹങ്ങളോടു ചെന്നു ചേര്ന്നിട്ടില്ല എന്നു നിനക്കു എങ്ങനെ പറയാം? താഴ്വരയിലെ നിന്റെ നടപ്പു വിചാരിക്ക; നീ ചെയ്തതു ഔര്ക്കുംക; വഴിയില് അങ്ങോട്ടും ഇങ്ങോട്ടും വിരെഞ്ഞോടുന്ന പെണ്ണൊട്ടകമല്ലയോ നീ?

23. Saye not now: I am not vnclene, and I haue not folowed the goddes. Loke vpo thyne owne waies in the woddes, valleis & dennes: so shalt thou knowe, what thou hast done. Thou art like a swift Dromedary, that goeth easely his waye:

24. നീ മരുഭൂമി ശീലിച്ചു അതിമോഹം പൂണ്ടു കിഴെക്കുന്ന കാട്ടു കഴുത തന്നേ; അതിന്റെ മദപ്പാടില് അതിനെ തടുക്കാകുന്നവന് ആര്? ആരും അതിനെ അന്വേഷിച്ചു തളരുകയില്ല; അതിന്റെ മാസത്തില് അതിനെ കണ്ടെത്തും;

24. and thy wantonnes is like a wilde Asse, that vseth the wildernesse, and that snoffeth and bloweth at his wil. Who can tame the? All they that seke the, shal not fayle, but fynde the in thyne owne vnclennes.

25. ചെരിപ്പു ഊരിപ്പോകാതവണ്ണം നിന്റെ കാലും രണ്ടു പോകാതവണ്ണം തൊണ്ടയും സൂക്ഷിച്ചുകൊള്ക; നീയോ അതു വെറുതെ; അങ്ങനെയല്ല; ഞാന് അന്യന്മാരെ സ്നേഹിക്കുന്നു; അവരുടെ പിന്നാലെ ഞാന് പോകും എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

25. Thou kepest thy fote from nakednes, and thy throte from thurste, and thinkest thus in thy self: tush, I wil take no sorowe, I wil loue the straunge goddes, & hange vpon them.

26. കള്ളനെ കണ്ടുപിടിക്കുമ്പോള് അവന് ലജ്ജിച്ചുപോകുന്നതുപോലെ യിസ്രായേല്ഗൃഹം ലജ്ജിച്ചുപോകും; അവരും അവരുടെ രാജാക്കന്മാരും പ്രഭുക്കന്മാരും പുരോഹിതന്മാരും പ്രവാചകന്മാരും തന്നേ.

26. Like as a thefe that is taken with the dede, commeth to shame, eue so is the house of Israel come to confucion: the comon people, their kinges and rulers, their prestes and prophetes.

27. അവര് മരത്തോടുനീ എന്റെ അപ്പന് എന്നും കല്ലിനോടുനീ എന്നെ പ്രസവിച്ചവള് എന്നും പറയുന്നു; അവര് മുഖമല്ല മുതുകത്രേ എങ്കലേക്കു തിരിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നതു; എന്നാല് കഷ്ടകാലത്തു അവര്നീ എഴുന്നേറ്റു ഞങ്ങളെ രക്ഷിക്കേണമേ എന്നു പറയും.

27. For they saye to a stock, thou art my father, and to a stone: thou hast begotten me, yee they haue turned their back vpon me, & not their face. But in the tyme of their trouble, when they saye: stonde vp, and helpe vs,

28. നീ ഉണ്ടാക്കീട്ടുള്ള നിന്റെ ദേവന്മാര് എവിടെ? കഷ്ടകാലത്തു നിന്നെ രക്ഷിപ്പാന് അവര്ക്കും കഴിവുണ്ടെങ്കില് അവര് എഴുന്നേല്ക്കട്ടെ; അയ്യോ യെഹൂദയേ, നിന്റെ പട്ടണങ്ങളുടെ എണ്ണത്തോളം നിനക്കു ദേവന്മാരും ഉണ്ടല്ലോ!

28. I shal answere the: Where are now thy goddes, that thou hast made the? byd them stonde vp, and helpe the in the tyme of nede? For loke how many cities thou hast (o Iuda) so many goddes hast thou also.

29. നിങ്ങള് എന്നോടു വാദിക്കുന്നതു എന്തു? നിങ്ങള് എല്ലാവരും എന്നോടു ദ്രോഹിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു എന്നു യഹോവയുടെ അരുളപ്പാടു.

29. Wherfore the wil ye go to lawe with me, seinge ye all are synners agaynst me, saieth the LORDE?

30. ഞാന് നിങ്ങളുടെ മക്കളെ അടിച്ചതു വ്യര്ത്ഥം; അവര് ബുദ്ധി പഠിച്ചില്ല; നശിപ്പിക്കുന്ന സിംഹത്തെപ്പോലെ നിങ്ങളുടെ വാള് തന്നേ നിങ്ങളുടെ പ്രവാചകന്മാരെ തിന്നുകളഞ്ഞു.

30. It is but lost laboure, that I smyte youre children, for they receaue not my correction. Youre owne swearde destroyeth youre prophetes, like a deuouringe lyon.

31. ഇപ്പോഴത്തെ തലമുറയായുള്ളോവേ, യഹോവയുടെ അരുളപ്പാടു കേള്പ്പിന് ; ഞാന് യിസ്രായേലിന്നു ഒരു മരുഭൂമി ആയിരുന്നുവോ? അന്ധകാരപ്രദേശമായിരുന്നുവോ? ഞങ്ങള് കെട്ടഴിഞ്ഞു നടക്കുന്നു; ഇനി നിന്റെ അടുക്കല് വിരകയില്ല എന്നു എന്റെ ജനം പറയുന്നതു എന്തു?

31. Yf ye be the people of the LORDE, then herke vnto his worde: Am I the become a wildernesse vnto the people of Israel? or a londe that hath no light? Wherfore saieth my people then: we are falle of, and we wil come no more vnto the?

32. ഒരു കന്യക തന്റെ ആഭരണങ്ങളും ഒരു മണവാട്ടി തന്റെ അരക്കച്ചയും മറക്കുമോ? എന്നാല് എന്റെ ജനം എണ്ണമില്ലാത്ത നാളായി എന്നെ മറന്നിരിക്കുന്നു.

32. Doth a mayden forget hir raymet, or a bryde hir stomacher? And doth my people forget me so loge?

33. പ്രേമം അന്വേഷിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു നീ നിന്റെ വഴി എത്ര ചേലാക്കുന്നു! അതുകൊണ്ടു നീ ദുന്നടപ്പുകാരത്തികളെയും നിന്റെ വഴികള് അഭ്യസപ്പിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു.

33. Why boostest thou thy wayes so hylie, (to optayne fauoure there thorow) when thou hast yet stained them wt blasphemies?

34. നിന്റെ ഉടുപ്പിന്റെ വിളുമ്പിലും കുറ്റമില്ലാത്ത സാധുക്കളുടെ രക്തം കാണുന്നു; ഭവന ഭേദനത്തിലല്ല നീ അവരെ പിടിച്ചതു. ഇവയെക്കുറിച്ചു ഒക്കെയും ഞാന് ന്യായവാദം കഴിക്കും.

34. Vpon thy wynges is founde the bloude of poore and innocent people, and that not in corners and holes only, but opely in all these places.

35. നീയോഞാന് കുറ്റമില്ലാത്തവള്; അവന്റെ കോപം എന്നെ വിട്ടുമാറിയിരിക്കുന്നു സത്യം എന്നു പറയുന്നു; ഞാന് പാപം ചെയ്തിട്ടില്ല എന്നു നീ പറയുന്നതുകൊണ്ടു ഞാന് നിന്നോടു വ്യവഹരിക്കും.

35. Yet darrest thou saye: I am giltlesse: Tush, his wrath can not come vpo me. Beholde, I wil reason with ye, because thou darrest saye: I haue not offended.

36. നിന്റെ വഴിയെ മാറ്റേണ്ടതിന്നു നീ ഇത്ര തെണ്ടിനടക്കുന്നതെന്തു? അശ്ശൂരിങ്കല് നീ ലജ്ജിച്ചതുപോലെ മിസ്രയീമിങ്കലും ലജ്ജിച്ചുപോകും.

36. O how euel wil it be for the, to abyde it: when it shall be knowne, how oft thou hast gone bacwarde? For thou shalt be confounded, as wel of Egipte, as of the Assirians:

37. അവിടെനിന്നും നീ തലയില് കൈ വെച്ചും കൊണ്ടു ഇറങ്ങിപ്പോരേണ്ടിവരും; നീ ആശ്രയിച്ചവരെ യഹോവ തള്ളിക്കളഞ്ഞിരിക്കുന്നു; അവരെക്കൊണ്ടു നിനക്കു ഒരു ഗുണവും വരികയില്ല.

37. Yee thou shalt go thy waye from the, & smyte yine hondes together vpon thy heade. Because the LORDE shal bringe that confidence and hope of thine to naught, and thou shalt not prospere with all.
