1. While Jeremiah was still locked up in the courtyard of the guards, the Lord spoke his word to him a second time:

2. 'These are the words of the Lord, who made the earth, shaped it, and gave it order, whose name is the Lord:

3. 'Judah, pray to me, and I will answer you. I will tell you important secrets you have never heard before.'

4. This is what the Lord, the God of Israel, says about the houses in Jerusalem and the royal palaces of Judah that have been torn down to be used in defense of the attack by the Babylonian army:

5. നീ വാളാല് മരിക്കയില്ല; നീ സമാധാനത്തോടെ മരിക്കും; നിനക്കു മുമ്പുണ്ടായിരുന്ന പണ്ടത്തെ രാജാക്കന്മാരായ നിന്റെ പിതാക്കന്മാര്ക്കും വേണ്ടി സുഗന്ധദഹനം കഴിച്ചതുപോലെ അവര് നിനക്കുവേണ്ടിയും കഴിക്കും; അയ്യോ തമ്പുരാനേ! എന്നു ചൊല്ലി അവര് നിന്നെക്കുറിച്ചു വിലപിക്കും; അതു ഞാന് കല്പിച്ച വചനമല്ലോ എന്നു യഹോവയുടെ അരുളപ്പാടു.

5. 'Some people will come to fight against the Babylonians. They will fill these houses with the bodies of people I killed in my hot anger. I have turned away from this city because of all the evil its people have done.

6. യിരെമ്യാ പ്രവാചകന് ഈ വചനങ്ങളെ ഒക്കെയും യെരൂശലേമില് യെഹൂദാരാജാവായ സിദെക്കീയാവോടു പ്രസ്താവിച്ചു.

6. 'But then I will bring health and healing to the people there. I will heal them and let them enjoy great peace and safety.

7. അന്നു ബാബേല്രാജാവിന്റെ സൈന്യം യെരൂശലേമിനോടും ലാക്കീശ്, അസെക്കാ എന്നിങ്ങനെ യെഹൂദയില് ശേഷിച്ചിരുന്ന എല്ലാ പട്ടണങ്ങളോടും യുദ്ധം ചെയ്തുകൊണ്ടിരുന്നു; യെഹൂദാപട്ടണങ്ങളില്വെച്ചു ഉറപ്പുള്ള പട്ടണങ്ങളായി ശേഷിച്ചിരുന്നതു ഇവയത്രേ.

7. I will bring Judah and Israel back from captivity and make them strong countries as in the past.

8. ആരും തന്റെ സഹോദരനായ ഒരു യെഹൂദനെക്കൊണ്ടു അടിമവേല ചെയ്യിക്കാതെ എബ്രായദാസനെയും എബ്രായദാസിയെയും

8. They sinned against me, but I will wash away that sin. They did evil and turned away from me, but I will forgive them.

9. സ്വതന്ത്രരായി വിട്ടയക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു ഒരു വിമോചനം പ്രസിദ്ധമാക്കേണമെന്നു സിദെക്കീയാരാജാവു യെരൂശലേമിലെ സകല ജനത്തോടും ഒരു നിയമം ചെയ്തശേഷം, യിരെമ്യാവിന്നു യഹോവയിങ്കല്നിന്നുണ്ടായ അരുളപ്പാടു.

9. Then 'Jerusalem' will be to me a name that brings joy! And people from all nations of the earth will praise it when they hear about the good things I am doing there. They will be surprised and shocked at all the good things and the peace I will bring to Jerusalem.'

10. ആരും തന്റെ ദാസനെക്കൊണ്ടും ദാസിയെക്കൊണ്ടും ഇനി അടിമവേല ചെയ്യിക്കാതെ അവരെ സ്വതന്ത്രരായി വിട്ടയക്കേണമെന്നുള്ള നിയമത്തില് ഉള്പ്പെട്ട സകല പ്രഭുക്കന്മാരും സര്വ്വജനവും അതു അനുസരിച്ചു അവരെ വിട്ടയച്ചിരുന്നു.

10. 'You are saying, 'Our country is an empty desert, without people or animals.' But this is what the Lord says: It is now quiet in the streets of Jerusalem and in the towns of Judah, without people or animals, but it will be noisy there soon!

11. പിന്നീടോ അവര് വ്യത്യാസം കാണിച്ചു, സ്വതന്ത്രരായി വിട്ടയച്ചിരുന്ന ദാസന്മാരെയും ദാസിമാരെയും മടക്കിവരുത്തി അവരെ വീണ്ടും ദാസീദാസന്മാരാക്കിത്തീര്ത്തു.

11. There will be sounds of joy and gladness and the happy sounds of brides and bridegrooms. There will be the sounds of people bringing to the Temple of the Lord their offerings of thanks to the Lord. They will say, 'Praise the Lord All-Powerful, because the Lord is good! His love continues forever!' They will say this because I will again do good things for Judah, as I did in the beginning,' says the Lord.

12. അതുകൊണ്ടു യഹോവയുടെ അരുളപ്പാടു യിരെമ്യാവിന്നു യഹോവയിങ്കല് നിന്നുണ്ടായതെന്തെന്നാല്

12. This is what the Lord All-Powerful says: 'This place is empty now, without people or animals. But there will be shepherds in all the towns of Judah and pastures where they let their flocks rest.

13. യിസ്രായേലിന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവ ഇപ്രകാരം അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നുഞാന് നിങ്ങളുടെ പിതാക്കന്മാരെ അടിമവീടായ മിസ്രയീംദേശത്തുനിന്നു കൊണ്ടുവന്ന നാളില് അവരോടു ഒരു നിയമം ചെയ്തു

13. Shepherds will again count their sheep as the sheep walk in front of them. They will count them in the mountains and in the western hills, in southern Judah and the land of Benjamin, and around Jerusalem and the other towns of Judah!' says the Lord.

14. തന്നെത്താന് നിനക്കു വില്ക്കയും ആറുസംവത്സരം നിന്നെ സേവിക്കയും ചെയ്തു എബ്രായസഹോദരനെ ഒടുക്കം ഏഴാം സംവത്സരത്തില് വിട്ടയക്കേണം; അവനെ സ്വതന്ത്രനായി നിന്റെ അടുക്കല്നിന്നു വിട്ടയക്കേണം എന്നു കല്പിച്ചിരുന്നു; എങ്കിലും നിങ്ങളുടെ പിതാക്കന്മാര് എന്റെ കല്പന അനുസരിച്ചില്ല, ചെവി ചായിച്ചതുമില്ല.

14. The Lord says, 'The time is coming when I will do the good thing I promised to the people of Israel and Judah.

15. നിങ്ങളോ ഇന്നു തിരിഞ്ഞു ഔരോരുത്തന് തന്റെ കൂട്ടുകാരന്നു വിമോചനം പ്രസിദ്ധമാക്കിയതിനാല് എനിക്കു ഹിതമായതു പ്രവര്ത്തിച്ചു, എന്റെ നാമം വിളിച്ചിരിക്കുന്ന ആലയത്തില്വെച്ചു എന്റെ മുമ്പാകെ ഒരു നിയമം ചെയ്തു.

15. In those days and at that time, I will make a good branch sprout from David's family. He will do what is fair and right in the land.

16. എങ്കിലും നിങ്ങള് വ്യത്യാസം കാണിച്ചു എന്റെ നാമത്തെ അശുദ്ധമാക്കി ഔരോരുത്തന് ഇഷ്ടംപോലെ പോയ്ക്കൊള്വാന് വിമോചനം കൊടുത്തു അയച്ചിരുന്ന തന്റെ ദാസനെയും ദാസിയെയും മടക്കിവരുത്തി ദാസീദാസന്മാരാക്കിയിരിക്കുന്നു.

16. At that time Judah will be saved, and the people of Jerusalem will live in safety. The branch will be named: The Lord Does What Is Right.'

17. അതുകൊണ്ടു യഹോവ ഇപ്രകാരം അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നുഔരോരുത്തന് താന്താന്റെ സഹോദരന്നും കൂട്ടുകാരന്നും വിമോചനം പ്രസിദ്ധമാക്കുവാന് തക്കവണ്ണം നിങ്ങള് എന്റെ വാക്കു കേട്ടില്ലല്ലോ; ഇതാ, ഞാന് ഒരു വിമോചനം പ്രസിദ്ധമാക്കുന്നു; അതു വാളിന്നും മഹാമാരിക്കും ക്ഷാമത്തിന്നു മത്രേ; ഭൂമിയിലെ സകലരാജ്യങ്ങളിലും ഞാന് നിങ്ങളെ ഭീതിവിഷയമാക്കിത്തീര്ക്കും എന്നു യഹോവയുടെ അരുളപ്പാടു.

17. This is what the Lord says: 'Someone from David's family will always sit on the throne of the family of Israel.

18. കാളകൂട്ടിയെ രണ്ടായി പിളര്ന്നു അതിന്റെ പിളര്പ്പുകളുടെ നടുവെ കടന്നുകൊണ്ടു എന്റെ മുമ്പാകെ ചെയ്ത നിയമത്തിലെ സംഗതികള് നിവര്ത്തിക്കാതെ എന്റെ നിയമം ലംഘിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നവരെ,

18. And there will always be priests from the family of Levi. They will always stand before me to offer burnt offerings and grain offerings and sacrifices to me.'

19. കാളകൂട്ടിയുടെ പിളര്പ്പുകളുടെ നടുവെ കടന്നുപോയ യെഹൂദാപ്രഭുക്കന്മാരെയും യെരൂശലേം പ്രഭുക്കന്മാരെയും ഷണ്ഡന്മാരെയും പുരോഹിതന്മാരെയും ദേശത്തിലെ സകലജനത്തെയും തന്നേ, ഞാന് ഏല്പിക്കും.

19. The Lord spoke his word to Jeremiah, saying:

20. അവരുടെ ശത്രുക്കളുടെ കയ്യിലും അവര്ക്കും പ്രാണഹാനി വരുത്തുവാന് നോക്കുന്നവരുടെ കയ്യിലും ഞാന് അവരെ ഏല്പിക്കും; അവരുടെ ശവങ്ങള് ആകാശത്തിലെ പക്ഷികള്ക്കും ഭൂമിയിലെ മൃഗങ്ങള്ക്കും ഇരയായ്തീരും.

20. 'This is what the Lord says: I have an agreement with day and night that they will always come at the right times. If you could change that agreement,

21. യെഹൂദാരാജാവായ സിദെക്കീയാവെയും അവന്റെ പ്രഭുക്കന്മാരെയും ഞാന് അവരുടെ ശത്രുക്കളുടെ കയ്യിലും അവര്ക്കും പ്രാണഹാനി വരുത്തുവാന് നോക്കുന്നവരുടെ കയ്യിലും നിങ്ങളെ വിട്ടുപോയിരിക്കുന്ന ബാബേല്രാജാവിന്റെ സൈന്യത്തിന്റെ കയ്യിലും ഏല്പിക്കും.

21. only then could you change my agreement with David and Levi. Only then would my servant David not have a descendant ruling as king on David's throne. And only then would the family of Levi not be priests serving me in the Temple.

22. ഞാന് കല്പിച്ചു അവരെ ഈ നഗരത്തിലേക്കു മടക്കി വരുത്തും; അവര് അതിനെ യുദ്ധം ചെയ്തു പിടിച്ചു തീ വെച്ചു ചുട്ടുകളയും; ഞാന് യെഹൂദാപട്ടണങ്ങളെ നിവാസികളില്ലാതെ ശൂന്യമാക്കും എന്നു യഹോവയുടെ അരുളപ്പാടു.

22. But I will give many descendants to my servant David and to the family group of Levi who serve me in the Temple. They will be as many as the stars in the sky that no one can count. They will be as many as the grains of sand on the seashore that no one can measure.'
