1. അമ്മോന്യരെക്കുറിച്ചുള്ള അരുളപ്പാടു. യഹോവ ഇപ്രകാരം അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നുയിസ്രായേലിന്നു പുത്രന്മാരില്ലയോ? അവന്നു അവകാശിയില്ലയോ? പിന്നെ മല്ക്കോം ഗാദിനെ കൈവശമാക്കി, അവന്റെ ജനം അതിലെ പട്ടണങ്ങളില് പാര്ക്കുംന്നതെന്തു?

1. Thus sayeth the LORD of Hosts, the God of Israel against Moab: Woe be to the city of Nabo, for it shall be laid waste, brought to confusion and taken. Yea the strong city of Kariathiarim shall be brought to shame, and afraid:

2. ആകയാല് ഞാന് അമ്മോന്യരുടെ രബ്ബയില് യുദ്ധത്തിന്റെ ആര്പ്പുവിളി കേള്പ്പിക്കുന്ന കാലം വരുന്നു എന്നു യഹോവയുടെ അരുളപ്പാടു; അന്നു അതു ശൂന്യമായി കലക്കുന്നാകും; അതിന്റെ പുത്രീനഗരങ്ങളും തീ പിടിച്ചു വെന്തുപോകും; യിസ്രായേല് തന്നേ കൈവശമാക്കിയവരെ കൈവശമാക്കും എന്നു യഹോവ അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നു.

2. Moab shall no more be had in honour: Wicked counsel shall be taken upon Hesebon. Come, (shall they say) let us root them out, that they may be no more among the number of the Gentiles, yea that they may no more be thought upon: Thus the sword shall persecute thee:

3. ഹെശ്ബോനേ, മുറയിടുക; ഹായി ശൂന്യമായ്പോയിരിക്കുന്നുവല്ലോ; രബ്ബയുടെ പുത്രീനഗരങ്ങളേ, നിലവിളിപ്പിന് ; രട്ടുടുത്തുകൊള്വിന് ; വിലപിച്ചുകൊണ്ടു വേലികള്ക്കരികെ ഉഴന്നുനടപ്പിന് ! മല്ക്കോമും അവന്റെ പുരോഹിതന്മാരും പ്രഭുക്കന്മാരും എല്ലാം പ്രവാസത്തിലേക്കു പോകും.

3. A voice shall cry from Horonaim; With great wasting and destruction,

4. ആര് എന്റെ നേരെ വരും എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു തന്റെ ഭണ്ഡാരങ്ങളില് ആശ്രയിച്ചുകൊണ്ടിരിക്കുന്ന വിശ്വാസത്യാഗിനിയായ പുത്രീ, താഴ്വരകളില് നീ പ്രശംസിക്കുന്നതെന്തിന്നു? നിന്റെ താഴ്വരകള് ഒഴുകിപ്പോകുന്നു.

4. is Moab made desolate. And this cry shall be heard in all her cities.

5. ഇതാ നിന്റെ ചുറ്റുമുള്ള എല്ലാവരാലും ഞാന് നിനക്കു ഭയം വരുത്തും എന്നു സൈന്യങ്ങളുടെ യഹോവയായ കര്ത്താവിന്റെ അരുളപ്പാടു നിങ്ങള് ഔരോരുത്തന് താന്താന്റെ ചൊവ്വിന്നു ചിതറിപ്പോകും; ഉഴന്നുനടക്കുന്നവരെ കൂട്ടിച്ചേര്പ്പാന് ആരും ഉണ്ടാകയില്ല.

5. At the going up unto Luith there shall arise a lamentation: and down toward Horonaim, there shall be heard a cruel and deadly cry:

6. എന്നാല് ഒടുക്കം ഞാന് അമ്മോന്യരുടെ പ്രവാസം മാറ്റും എന്നു യഹോവയുടെ അരുളപ്പാടു.

6. Get you away, save your lives and be like unto the heeth in the wilderness.

7. എദോമിനെക്കുറിച്ചുള്ള അരുളപ്പാടു. സൈന്യങ്ങളുടെ യഹോവ ഇപ്രകാരം അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നുതേമാനില് ഇനി ജ്ഞാനമില്ലയോ? ആലോചന വിവേകികളെ വിട്ടു നശിച്ചുപോയോ? അവരുടെ ജ്ഞാനം ക്ഷയിച്ചുപോയോ?

7. For because thou hast trusted in thy strongholds and treasure, thou shalt be taken Chamos with his priests and princes shall go away into captivity.

8. ദെദാന് നിവാസികളേ, ഔടിപ്പോകുവിന് ; പിന്തിരിഞ്ഞു കുഴികളില് പാര്ത്തുകൊള്വിന് ; ഞാന് ഏശാവിന്റെ ആപത്തു, അവന്റെ ദര്ശനകാലം തന്നേ, അവന്നു വരുത്തും.

8. The destroyer shall come upon all cities, none shall escape. The valleys shall be destroyed, and the fields shall be laid waste: like as the LORD hath determined.

9. മുന്തിരിപ്പഴം പറിക്കുന്നവര് നിന്റെ അടുക്കല് വന്നാല് കാലാ പറിപ്പാന് ചിലതു ശേഷിപ്പിക്കയില്ലയോ? രാത്രിയില് കള്ളന്മാര് വന്നാല് തങ്ങള്ക്കു മതിയാകുവോളം മാത്രമല്ലോ നശിപ്പിക്കുന്നതു?

9. Make a token unto Moab, that she get her away speedily: for her cities shall be made so desolate, that no man shall dwell therein.

10. എന്നാല് ഏശാവിനെ ഞാന് നഗ്നമാക്കി അവന്റെ ഗൂഢസ്ഥലങ്ങളെ അനാവൃതമാക്കിയിരിക്കുന്നു; അവന്നു ഒളിച്ചുകൊള്വാന് കഴികയില്ല; അവന്റെ സന്തതിയും സഹോദരന്മാരും അയല്ക്കാരും നശിച്ചുപോയി; അവനും ഇല്ലാതെ ആയിരിക്കുന്നു.

10. Cursed be he that doth the work of the LORD negligently, and cured be he that keepeth back his sword from shedding of blood.

11. നിന്റെ അനാഥന്മാരെ ഉപേക്ഷിക്ക; ഞാന് അവരെ ജീവനോടെ രക്ഷിക്കും; നിന്റെ വിധവമാര് എന്നില് ആശ്രയിക്കട്ടെ.

11. Moab hath ever been rich and careless from her youth up, she hath sitten and taken her ease with her treasure. She was never yet put out of one vessel into another, that is, she never went away in to captivity, therefore her taste remaineth, and her savour is not yet changed.

12. യഹോവ ഇപ്രകാരം അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നുപാനപാത്രം കുടിപ്പാന് അര്ഹതയില്ലാത്തവര് കുടിക്കേണ്ടിവന്നു; പിന്നെ നിനക്കു ശിക്ഷ വരാതെ പോകുമോ? നിനക്കു ശിക്ഷ വരാതെ പോകയില്ല; നീയും കുടിക്കേണ്ടിവരും.

12. But lo, the time cometh, sayeth the LORD, that I shall send her trussers to truss her up, to prepare and season her vessels: yea her tankards rattle and shake to and fro.

13. ബൊസ്രാ സ്തംഭനവും നിന്ദയും ശൂന്യവും ശാപവുമായി ഭവിക്കും; അതിന്റെ എല്ലാപട്ടണങ്ങളും നിത്യശൂന്യങ്ങളായ്തീരും എന്നു ഞാന് എന്നെക്കൊണ്ടു തന്നേ സത്യം ചെയ്തിരിക്കുന്നു എന്നു യഹോവയുടെ അരുളപ്പാടു.

13. And Moab shall be ashamed of Chamos, like as Israel was ashamed of Bethel, wherein she put her trust.

14. നിങ്ങള് ഒരുമിച്ചുകൂടി അതിന്റെ നേരെ ചെല്ലുവിന് ; യുദ്ധത്തിന്നായി എഴുന്നേല്പിന് ! എന്നിങ്ങനെ വിളിച്ചുപറവാന് ഒരു ദൂതനെ ജാതികളുടെ അടുക്കലേക്കു അയച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു എന്നൊരു വര്ത്തമാനം ഞാന് യഹോവയിങ്കല്നിന്നു കേട്ടു.

14. Wherefore do ye think thus: We are mighty, and strong men of war?

15. ഞാന് നിന്നെ ജാതികളുടെ ഇടയില് ചെറിയവനും മനുഷ്യരുടെ ഇടയില് നിന്ദിതനും ആക്കും.

15. Moab shall be destroyed, her cities brent up: her chosen young men shall be slain, sayeth the King, whose name is the LORD of Hosts.

16. പാറപ്പിളര്പ്പുകളില് പാര്ത്തു കുന്നുകളുടെ മുകള് പിടിച്ചുകൊണ്ടിരിക്കുന്നവനേ, നിന്റെ ഭയങ്കരത്വം വിചാരിച്ചാല് നിന്റെ ഹൃദയത്തിലെ അഹങ്കാരം നിന്നെ ചതിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു; നീ കഴുകനെപ്പോലെ നിന്റെ കൂടു ഉയരത്തില് വെച്ചാലും അവിടെനിന്നു ഞാന് നിന്നെ താഴെ ഇറങ്ങുമാറാക്കും എന്നു യഹോവയുടെ അരുളപ്പാടു.

16. The destruction of Moab cometh on a pace, and her fall is at hand.

17. എദോം സ്തംഭനവിഷയമായ്തീരും; അതിന്നരികത്തുകൂടി കടന്നുപോകുന്ന ഏവരും സ്തംഭിച്ചു അതിന്റെ സകലബാധകളും നിമിത്തം ചൂളകുത്തും.

17. All her neighbours shall mourn for her, and all they that know her name, shall say: O how happeneth it, that the strong staff and the goodly rod is thus broken?

18. സൊദോമിന്റെയും ഗൊമോരയുടെയും അവയുടെ അയല്പട്ടണങ്ങളുടെയും ഉന്മൂലനാശശേഷം എന്നപോലെ അവിടെയും ആരും പാര്ക്കയില്ല; ഒരു മനുഷ്യനും അവിടെ വസിക്കയില്ല എന്നു യഹോവ അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നു.

18. And thou daughter Dibon, come down from thy glory, and sit in poverty. For he that destroyeth Moab, shall come up to thee also, and break down thy strong holds.

19. യോര്ദ്ദാന്റെ വന് കാട്ടില്നിന്നു ഒരു സിംഹം എന്നപോലെ അവന് എപ്പോഴും പച്ചയായിരിക്കുന്ന മേച്ചല്പുറങ്ങളിലേക്കു കയറിവരുന്നു; ഞാന് അവരെ പെട്ടന്നു അതില്നിന്നു ഔടിച്ചുകളയും; ഞാന് തിരഞ്ഞെടുക്കുന്ന ഒരാളെ അതിന്നു നിയമിക്കും; എനിക്കു സമനായവന് ആര്? എനിക്കു നേരം കുറിക്കുന്നവന് ആര്? എന്റെ മുമ്പാകെ നില്ക്കാകുന്ന ഇടയന് ആര്?

19. And thou that dwellest in Aroer, get thee to the street, and look about thee: ask them that are fled and escaped, and say: What thing is happened?

20. അതുകൊണ്ടു യഹോവ എദോമിനെക്കുറിച്ചു ആലോചിച്ച ആലോചനയും തേമാന് നിവാസികളെക്കുറിച്ചു നിരൂപിച്ച നിരൂപണങ്ങളും കേള്പ്പിന് ; ആട്ടിന് കൂട്ടത്തില് ചെറിയവരെ അവര് ഇഴെച്ചുകൊണ്ടുപോകും; അവന് അവരുടെ മേച്ചല്പുറങ്ങളെ അവരോടുകൂടെ ശൂന്യമാക്കും.

20. O Moab is confounded and overcome. Mourn and cry, tell it out at Armon, that Moab is destroyed.

21. അവരുടെ വീഴ്ചയുടെ മുഴക്കത്തിങ്കല് ഭൂമി നടുങ്ങുന്നു; ഒരു നിലവിളി; അതിന്റെ ഒച്ച ചെങ്കടലില് കേള്ക്കുന്നു!

21. And misery shall come upon the plain land: Namely, upon Holon, and Jahazah, upon Mephaath

22. അവന് കഴുകനെപ്പോലെ പൊങ്ങി പറന്നു വന്നു ബൊസ്രയുടെമേല് ചിറകു വിടര്ക്കും; അന്നാളില് എദോമിലെ വീരന്മാരുടെ ഹൃദയം നോവുകിട്ടിയ സ്ത്രീയുടെ ഹൃദയം പോലെയാകും.

22. and Dibon, upon Nabo, and the house of Deblathaim,

23. ദമ്മേശെക്കിനെക്കുറിച്ചുള്ള അരുളപ്പാടു. ഹമാത്തും അര്പ്പാദും ദോഷവര്ത്തമാനം കേട്ടതു കൊണ്ടു ലജ്ജിച്ചു ഉരുകിപ്പോയിരിക്കുന്നു; കടല്വരെ ദുഃഖം വ്യാപിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു; അതിന്നു അടങ്ങിയിരിപ്പാന് കഴിവില്ല.

23. upon Cariathiarim and Bethgamul, upon Bethmaon

24. ദമ്മേശെക് ക്ഷീണിച്ചു ഔടിപ്പോകുവാന് തിരിയുന്നു; നടുക്കം അതിന്നു പിടിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു; നോവു കിട്ടിയ സ്ത്രീക്കു എന്നപോലെ അതിന്നു അതിവ്യസനവും വേദനയും പിടിപെട്ടിരിക്കുന്നു.

24. and Carioth, upon Bozrah and all the cities of the land of Moab, whether they lie far or near.

25. കീര്ത്തിയുള്ള പട്ടണം എന്റെ ആനന്ദപുരം ഉപേക്ഷിക്കാതിരിക്കുന്നതെങ്ങനെ?

25. The horn of Moab shall be smitten down, and her arm broken, sayeth the LORD.

26. അതുകൊണ്ടു അതിലെ യൌവനക്കാര് അതിന്റെ വീഥികളില് വീഴുകയും സകലയോദ്ധാക്കളും അന്നു നശിച്ചുപോകയും ചെയ്യും എന്നു സൈന്യങ്ങളുടെ യഹോവയുടെ അരുളപ്പാടു.

26. Make her drunken, for she magnified herself above the LORD, that men may clap their hands at her vomit, and that she also may be laughed into scorn.

27. ഞാന് ദമ്മേശെക്കിന്റെ മതിലുകള്ക്കു തീവേക്കും; അതു ബെന് -ഹദദിന്റെ അരമനകളെ ദഹിപ്പിച്ചുകളയും.

27. O Israel, shalt thou not laugh him to scorn, when he is taken among thieves? Yea because of thy words that thou hast spoken against him, thou shalt be driven away.

28. ബാബേല്രാജാവായ നെബൂഖദ്നേസര് ജയിച്ചടക്കിയ കേദാരിനെയും ഹാസോര്രാജ്യങ്ങളെയും കുറിച്ചുള്ള അരുളപ്പാടു. യഹോവ ഇപ്രകാരം അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നുനിങ്ങള് പുറപ്പെട്ടു കേദാരില് ചെന്നു കിഴക്കരെ നശിപ്പിച്ചുകളവിന് .

28. Ye Moabites shall leave the cities, and dwell in rocks of stone, and become like doves, that make their nests in holes.

29. അവരുടെ കൂടാരങ്ങളെയും ആട്ടിന് കൂട്ടങ്ങളെയും അവര് അപഹരിക്കും; അവരുടെ തിരശ്ശീലകളെയും സകലഉപകരണങ്ങളെയും ഒട്ടകങ്ങളെയും അവര് കൊണ്ടുപോകും; സര്വ്വത്രഭീതി എന്നു അവര് അവരോടു വിളിച്ചുപറയും.

29. As for Moab's pride, we have heard of it, she is very high minded. I know her stoutness, her boasting,(boosting) her arrogancy and the pride of her stomach, sayeth the LORD.

30. ഹാസോര്നിവാസികളേ, ഔടിപ്പോകുവിന് ; അതിദൂരത്തു ചെന്നു കുഴിയില് പാര്ത്തുകൊള്വിന് എന്നു യഹോവയുടെ അരുളപ്പാടു; ബാബേല്രാജാവായ നെബൂഖദ്നേസര് നിങ്ങളെക്കുറിച്ചു ഒരു ആലേചന ആലോചിച്ചു ഒരു നിരൂപണം നിരൂപിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു.

30. For her furriousness may neither uphold her with strength nor deed.

31. വാതിലുകളും ഔടാമ്പലുകളും എല്ലാതെ തനിച്ചു പാര്ക്കുംന്നവരും സ്വൈരവും നിര്ഭയവുമായി വസിക്കുന്നവരുമായ ജാതിയുടെ അടുക്കല് പുറപ്പെട്ടു ചെല്ലുവിന് എന്നു യഹോവയുടെ അരുളപ്പാടു.

31. Therefore shall their mourning be made for Moab, and every man shall cry for Moab's sake: a lamentation shall be made to the men that stand upon the wall.

32. അവരുടെ ഒട്ടകങ്ങള് കവര്ച്ചയും അവരുടെ കന്നുകാലിക്കൂട്ടങ്ങള് കൊള്ളയും ആയിത്തീരും; തലയുടെ അരികു വടിച്ചുവരെ ഞാന് എല്ലാകാറ്റുകളിലേക്കും ചിന്നിച്ചുകളകയും നാലു പുറത്തുനിന്നും അവര്ക്കും ആപത്തു വരുത്തുകയും ചെയ്യും എന്നു യഹോവയുടെ അരുളപ്പാടു.

32. So will I mourn for thee also O Jazer, and for thee, O thou vineyard of Sabamah. Thy wine branches shall come over the sea, and the branches of Jazer but unto the sea: the destroyer shall break into thy harvest and grape gathering:

33. ഹാസോര് കുറുനരികളുടെ പാര്പ്പിടവും നിത്യശൂന്യവും ആയിത്തീരും; ആരും അവിടെ പാര്ക്കയില്ല; ഒരു മനുഷ്യനും അവിടെ വസിക്കയുമില്ല.

33. Mirth and cheer shall be taken away from the timber field, and from the whole land of Moab. There shall be no sweet wine in the press, the treader shall have no stomach to cry, yea there shall be none to cry unto him:

34. യെഹൂദാരാജാവായ സിദെക്കീയാവിന്റെ വാഴ്ചയുടെ ആരംഭത്തിങ്കല് ഏലാമിനെക്കുറിച്ചു യിരെമ്യാപ്രവാചകന്നുണ്ടായ അരുളപ്പാടു എന്തെന്നാല്

34. which afore time were heard from Hesebon to Eleale, and Jahaz, which lifted up their voice from Zoar unto Horonaim, that bullock of three year old. The waters also of Nemrim shall be dried up.

35. സൈന്യങ്ങളുടെ യഹോവ ഇപ്രകാരം അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നുഞാന് ഏലാമിന്റെ മുഖ്യബലമായ അവരുടെ വില്ലു ഒടിച്ചുകളയും.

35. Moreover I will make Moab cease (sayeth the LORD) from the offerings and censing that she hath made unto her gods in high places.

36. ഞാന് ഏലാമിന്റെ നേരെ ആകാശത്തിന്റെ നാലു ദിക്കില്നിന്നും നാലു കാറ്റുവരുത്തി ഈ എല്ലാകാറ്റുകളിലേക്കും അവരെ ചിന്നിച്ചുകളയും; ഏലാമിന്റെ ഭ്രഷ്ടന്മാര് ചെല്ലാത്ത ഒരു ജാതികയും ഉണ്ടായിരിക്കയില്ല.

36. Wherefore my heart mourneth for Moab, like a crowd playing an heavy song: and for the men's sake of the brick wall my heart mourneth also, even as a pipe that pipeth a doleful song: for they shall be very few, and destroyed.

37. ഞാന് ഏലാമ്യരെ അവരുടെ ശത്രുക്കളുടെ മുമ്പിലും അവര്ക്കും പ്രാണഹാനി വരുത്തുവാന് നോക്കുന്നവരുടെ മുമ്പിലും ഭ്രമിപ്പിക്കും; ഞാന് അവര്ക്കും അനര്ത്ഥം, എന്റെ ഉഗ്രകോപം തന്നേ, വരുത്തും എന്നു യഹോവയുടെ അരുളപ്പാടു ഞാന് അവരുടെ പിന്നാലെ വാള് അയച്ചു അവരെ മുടിച്ചുകളയും.

37. All heads shall be shaven, and all beards clipped off: all hands bound, and all loins girded about with sack cloth.

38. ഞാന് എന്റെ സിംഹാസനത്തെ ഏലാമില് സ്ഥാപിച്ചു അവിടെ നിന്നു രാജാവിനെയും പ്രഭുക്കന്മാരെയും നശിപ്പിച്ചുകളയും എന്നു യഹോവയുടെ അരുളപ്പാടു.

38. Upon all the housetops and streets of Moab, there shall be mourning: For I will break Moab like an unprofitable vessel sayeth the LORD.

39. എന്നാല് ഒടുക്കം ഞാന് ഏലാമിന്റെ പ്രവാസം മാറ്റും എന്നു യഹോവയുടെ അരുളപ്പാടു.

39. O how fearful is she? O how mourneth she? O how doth Moab hang down her head, and is ashamed? Thus shall Moab be a laughing stock, and had in derision of all them, that be round about her.
