1. യഹോവയുടെ അരുളപ്പാടു എനിക്കുണ്ടായതെന്തെന്നാല്

1. And there is a word of Jehovah unto me, saying, 'Son of man,

2. മനുഷ്യപുത്രാ, ഒരമ്മയുടെ മക്കളായ രണ്ടു സ്ത്രീകള് ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നു.

2. Two women were daughters of one mother,

3. അവര് മിസ്രയീമില്വെച്ചു പരസംഗംചെയ്തു; യൌവനത്തില് തന്നേ അവര് പരസംഗം ചെയ്തു; അവിടെ അവരുടെ മുല പിടിച്ചു അവരുടെ കന്യാകുചാഗ്രം ഞെക്കി.

3. And they go a-whoring in Egypt, In their youth they have gone a-whoring, There they have bruised their breasts, And there they have dealt with the loves of their virginity.

4. അവരില് മൂത്തവള്ക്കു ഒഹൊലാ എന്നും ഇളയവര്ക്കും ഒഹൊലീബാ എന്നു പേരായിരുന്നു; അവര് എനിക്കുള്ളവരായിരുന്നു പുത്രന്മാരെയും പുത്രിമാരെയും പ്രസവിച്ചു; അവരുടെ പേരോ ഒഹൊലാ എന്നതു ശമര്യ്യയും ഒഹൊലീബാ എന്നതു യെരൂശലേമും ആകുന്നു.

4. And their names [are] Aholah the elder, And Aholibah her sister, And they are Mine, and bear sons and daughters. As to their names -- Samaria [is] Aholah, And Jerusalem [is] Aholibah.

5. എന്നാല് ഒഹൊലാ എന്നെ വിട്ടു പരസംഗം ചെയ്തു;

5. And go a-whoring doth Aholah under Me, And she doteth on her lovers, On the neighbouring Assyrians,

6. അവള് ധൂമ്രവസ്ത്രം ധരിച്ച ദേശാധിപതികളും സ്ഥാനാപതികളും ഒട്ടൊഴിയാതെ മനോഹരയുവാക്കളും കുതിരപ്പുറത്തു കയറി ഔടിക്കുന്നവരുമായ സമീപസ്ഥരായ അശ്ശൂര്യ്യജാരന്മാരെ മോഹിച്ചു.

6. Clothed with blue -- governors and prefects, Desirable young men all of them, Horsemen, riding on horses,

7. അശ്ശൂര്യ്യശ്രേഷ്ഠന്മാരായവരോടു ഒക്കെയും തന്റെ വേശ്യാവിദ്യകളെ ചെലവഴിച്ചു, താന് മോഹിച്ചുപോന്ന ഏവരുടെയും സകലവിഗ്രഹങ്ങളെക്കൊണ്ടും തന്നെത്താന് മലിനയാക്കി.

7. And she giveth her whoredoms on them, The choice of the sons of Asshur, All of them -- even all on whom she doted, By all their idols she hath been defiled.

8. മിസ്രയീമില്നിന്നു കൊണ്ടുവന്ന തന്റെ വേശ്യാവൃത്തിയും അവള് വിട്ടില്ല; അവര് അവളുടെ യൌവനത്തില് അവളോടുകൂടെ ശയിച്ചു, അവളുടെ കന്യാകുചാഗ്രം ഞെക്കി തങ്ങളുടെ പരസംഗം അവളുടെമേല് ചൊരിഞ്ഞു.

8. And her whoredoms out of Egypt she hath not forsaken, For with her they lay in her youth, And they dealt with the loves of her virginity, And they pour out their whoredoms on her.

9. അതുകൊണ്ടു ഞാന് അവളെ അവളുടെ ജാരന്മാരുടെ കയ്യില്, അവള് മോഹിച്ചിരുന്ന അശ്ശൂര്യ്യരുടെ കയ്യില്തന്നേ, ഏല്പിച്ചു.

9. Therefore I have given her into the hand of her lovers, Into the hand of sons of Asshur on whom she doted.

10. അവര് അവളുടെ നഗ്നത അനാവൃതമാക്കി, അവളുടെ പുത്രന്മാരെയും പുത്രിമാരെയും പിടിക്കയും അവളെ വാള്കൊണ്ടു കൊല്ലുകയും ചെയ്തു; അവര് അവളുടെമേല് വിധി നടത്തിയതുകൊണ്ടു അവള് സ്ത്രീകളുടെ ഇടയില് ഒരു നിന്ദാപാത്രമായിത്തീര്ന്നു.

10. They have uncovered her nakedness, Her sons and her daughters they have taken, And her by sword they have slain, And she is a name for women, And judgments they have done with her.

11. എന്നാല് അവളുടെ സഹോദരിയായ ഒഹൊലീബാ ഇതു കണ്ടിട്ടും തന്റെ കാമവികാരത്തില് അവളെക്കാളും തന്റെ വേശ്യാവൃത്തിയില് സഹോദരിയുടെ വേശ്യവൃത്തിയെക്കാളും അധികം വഷളത്വം പ്രവര്ത്തിച്ചു.

11. And see doth her sister Aholibah, And she maketh her doting love more corrupt than she, And her whoredoms than the whoredoms of her sister.

12. മോടിയായി ഉടുത്തുചമഞ്ഞ ദേശാധിപതികളും സ്ഥാനാപതികളും കുതിരപ്പുറത്തു കയറി ഔടിക്കുന്നവരും ഒട്ടൊഴിയാതെ മനോഹരയുവാക്കളുമായ സമീപസ്ഥരായ അശ്ശൂര്യ്യരെ മോഹിച്ചു,

12. On sons of Asshur she hath doted, Governors and prefects, Neighbouring ones -- clothed in perfection, Horsemen, riding on horses, Desirable young men all of them.

13. അവളും തന്നെത്താന് മലിനയാക്കി എന്നു ഞാന് കണ്ടു; ഇരുവരും ഒരു വഴിയില് തന്നേ നടന്നു.

13. And I see that she hath been defiled, One way [is] to them both.

14. അവള് പിന്നെയും പരസംഗം ചെയ്തുകൊണ്ടിരുന്നു; ചായില്യംകൊണ്ടു എഴുതിയ കല്ദയരുടെ ചിത്രങ്ങളെ,

14. And she doth add unto her whoredoms, And she seeth graved men on the wall, Pictures of Chaldeans, graved with red lead,

15. കല്ദയദേശം ജന്മഭൂമിയായുള്ള ബാബേല്ക്കാരുടെ രൂപത്തില് അരെക്കു കച്ചകെട്ടി തലയില് തലപ്പാവു ചുറ്റി കാഴ്ചെക്കു ഒട്ടൊഴിയാതെ പ്രഭുക്കന്മാരായിരിക്കുന്ന പുരുഷന്മാരുടെ ചിത്രങ്ങളെ തന്നേ ചുവരിന്മേല് വരെച്ചിരിക്കുന്നതു അവള് കണ്ടു.

15. Girded with a girdle on their loins, Dyed attire spread out on their heads, The appearance of rulers -- all of them, The likeness of sons of Babylon, Chaldea is the land of their birth.

16. കണ്ട ഉടനെ അവള് അവരെ മോഹിച്ചു, കല്ദയദേശത്തിലേക്കു അവരുടെ അടുക്കല് ദൂതന്മാരെ അയച്ചു.

16. And she doteth on them at the sight of her eyes, And sendeth messengers to them, to Chaldea.

17. അങ്ങനെ ബാബേല്ക്കാര് പ്രേമശയനത്തിന്നായി അവളുടെ അടുക്കല് വന്നു പരസംഗംകൊണ്ടു അവളെ മലിനയാക്കി; അവള് അവരാല് മലിനയായ്തീര്ന്നു; പിന്നെ അവള്ക്കു അവരോടു വെറുപ്പുതോന്നി.

17. And come in unto her do sons of Babylon, To the bed of loves, And they defile her with their whoredoms, And she is defiled with them, And her soul is alienated from them.

18. ഇങ്ങനെ അവള് തന്റെ പരസംഗം വെളിപ്പെടുത്തി തന്റെ നഗ്നത അനാവൃതമാക്കിയപ്പോള് എനിക്കു അവളുടെ സഹോദരിയോടു വെറുപ്പു തോന്നിയതുപോലെ അവളോടും വെറുപ്പു തോന്നി.

18. And she revealeth her whoredoms, And she revealeth her nakedness, And alienated is My soul from off her, As alienated was My soul from off her sister.

19. എന്നിട്ടും അവള് മിസ്രയീംദേശത്തുവെച്ചു പരസംഗം ചെയ്ത തന്റെ യൌവനകാലം ഔര്ത്തു പരസംഗം വര്ദ്ധിപ്പിച്ചു.

19. And she multiplieth her whoredoms, To remember the days of her youth, When she went a-whoring in the land of Egypt.

20. കഴുതകളുടെ ലിംഗംപോലെ ലിംഗവും കുതിരകളുടെ ബീജസ്രവണംപോലെ ബീജസ്രവണവും ഉള്ള ജാരന്മാരെ അവള് മോഹിച്ചു.

20. And she doteth on their paramours, Whose flesh [is] the flesh of asses, And the issue of horses -- their issue.

21. ഇങ്ങനെ നിന്റെ യൌവനസ്തനങ്ങള് നിമിത്തം മിസ്രയീമ്യര് നിന്റെ കുജാഗ്രങ്ങളെ ഞെക്കിയതായ നിന്റെ യൌവനത്തിലെ ദുഷ്കര്മ്മം നീ തിരിഞ്ഞുനോക്കി.

21. Thou lookest after the wickedness of thy youth, In dealing out of Egypt thy loves, For the sake of the breasts of thy youth.

22. അതുകൊണ്ടു ഒഹൊലീബയേ, യഹോവയായ കര്ത്താവു ഇപ്രകാരം അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നുബാബേല്ക്കാര്, കല്ദയര് ഒക്കെയും, പെക്കോദ്യര്, ശോവ്യര്,

22. Therefore, O Aholibah, thus said the Lord Jehovah: Lo, I am stirring up thy lovers against thee, From whom thy soul hath been alienated, And have brought them in against thee from round about.

23. കോവ്യര്, അശ്ശൂര്യ്യര് ഒക്കെയും എന്നിങ്ങനെ മനോഹരയുവാക്കളും ദേശാധിപതികളും സ്ഥാനാപതികളും ഒട്ടൊഴിയാതെ പ്രഭുക്കന്മാരും വിശ്രുതന്മാരും കുതിരപ്പുറത്തു കയറി ഔടിക്കുന്നവരുമായി, നിനക്കു വെറുപ്പു തോന്നിയിരിക്കുന്ന നിന്റെ ജാരന്മാരെ ഞാന് നിനക്കു വിരോധമായി ഉണര്ത്തി ചുറ്റും നിന്റെ നേരെ വരുത്തും.

23. Sons of Babylon, and of all Chaldea, Pekod, and Shoa, and Koa, All the sons of Asshur with them, Desirable young men, governors and prefects, All of them -- rulers and proclaimed ones, Riding on horses, all of them.

24. അവര് അനവധി രഥങ്ങളും വണ്ടികളും ഒരു ജനസമൂഹവുമായി നിന്റെ നേരെ വരും; അവര് പരിചയും പലകയും പിടിച്ചു തലക്കോരിക ഇട്ടുംകൊണ്ടു നിന്നെ വന്നു വളയും; ഞാന് ന്യായവിധി അവര്ക്കും ഭരമേല്പിക്കും; അവര് തങ്ങളുടെ ന്യായങ്ങള്ക്കു അനുസാരമായി നിന്നെ ന്യായം വിധിക്കും.

24. And they have come in against thee, With arms, rider, and wheel, And with an assembly of peoples; Target, and shield, and helmet, They do set against thee round about, And I have set before them judgment, They have judged thee in their Judgments.

25. ഞാന് എന്റെ തീക്ഷണത നിന്റെ നേരെ പ്രയോഗിക്കും; അവര് ക്രോധത്തോടെ നിന്നോടു പെരുമാറും; അവര് നിന്റെ മൂക്കും ചെവിയും ചെത്തിക്കളയും; നിനക്കു ശേഷിപ്പുള്ളവര് വാള്കൊണ്ടു വീഴും; അവര് നിന്റെ പുത്രന്മാരെയും പുത്രിമാരെയും പിടിച്ചു കൊണ്ടുപോകും; നിനക്കു ശേഷിപ്പുള്ളവര് തീക്കിരയാകും.

25. And I have set My jealousy against thee, And they have dealt with thee in fury, Thy nose and thine ears they turn aside, And thy posterity by sword falleth, They, thy sons and thy daughters do take away, And thy posterity is devoured by fire.

26. അവര് നിന്റെ വസ്ത്രം ഉരിഞ്ഞു ആഭരണങ്ങളെ എടുത്തുകളയും.

26. And they have stripped thee of thy garments, And have taken thy beauteous jewels.

27. ഇങ്ങനെ ഞാന് നിന്റെ ദുര്മ്മര്യാദയും, മിസ്രയീംദേശത്തുനിന്നു കൊണ്ടുവന്ന നിന്റെ വേശ്യാവൃത്തിയും നിര്ത്തലാക്കും; നീ ഇനി അവരെ തലപൊക്കി നോക്കുകയില്ല, മിസ്രയീമിനെ ഔര്ക്കുംകയുമില്ല.

27. And I have caused thy wickedness to cease from thee, And thy whoredoms out of the land of Egypt, And thou liftest not up thine eyes unto them, And Egypt thou dost not remember again.

28. യഹോവയായ കര്ത്താവു ഇപ്രകാരം അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നുഞാന് നിന്നെ നീ പകെക്കുന്നവരുടെ കയ്യില്, നിനക്കു വെറുപ്പു തോന്നുന്നവരുടെ കയ്യില് തന്നേ ഏല്പിക്കും.

28. For thus said the Lord Jehovah: Lo, I am giving thee into a hand that thou hast hated, Into a hand from which thou wast alienated.

29. അവര് പകയോടെ നിന്നോടു പെരുമാറി നിന്റെ സമ്പാദ്യം ഒക്കെയും എടുത്തു, നിന്നെ നഗ്നയും അനാവൃതയും ആക്കിവിടും; അങ്ങനെ നിന്റെ വേശ്യാവൃത്തിയുടെ നഗ്നതയും നിന്റെ ദുര്മ്മര്യാദയും പരസംഗങ്ങളും വെളിപ്പെട്ടുവരും.

29. And they have dealt with thee in hatred, And they have taken all thy labour, And they have left thee naked and bare, And revealed hath been the nakedness of thy whoredoms, And the wickedness of thy whoredoms.

30. നീ ജാതികളോടു ചേന്നു പരസംഗം ചെയ്തതുകൊണ്ടും അവരുടെ വിഗ്രഹങ്ങളാല് നിന്നെത്തന്നേ മലിനയാക്കിയതുകൊണ്ടും ഇതു നിനക്കു ഭവിക്കും.

30. To do these things to thee, In thy going a-whoring after nations, Because thou hast been defiled with their idols,

31. നീ സഹോദരിയുടെ വഴിയില് നടന്നതുകൊണ്ടു ഞാന് അവളുടെ പാനപാത്രം നിന്റെ കയ്യില് തരും.

31. In the way of thy sister thou hast walked, And I have given her cup into thy hand.

32. യഹോവയായ കര്ത്താവു ഇപ്രകാരം അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നുനീ സഹോദരിയുടെ കുഴിയും വട്ടവും ഉള്ള പാനപാത്രത്തില്നിന്നു കുടിച്ചു നിന്ദെക്കും പരിഹാസത്തിന്നും വിഷയമായ്തീരും; അതില് വളരെ കൊള്ളുമല്ലോ.

32. Thus said the Lord Jehovah: The cup of thy sister thou dost drink, The deep and the wide one, (Thou art for laughter and for scorn,) Abundant to contain.

33. സ്തംഭനവും ശൂന്യതയുമുള്ള പാനപാത്രമായി നിന്റെ സഹോദരി ശമര്യ്യരുടെ പാനപാത്രമായ ലഹരിയും ദുഃഖവുംകൊണ്ടു നീ നിറഞ്ഞിരിക്കുന്നു.

33. With drunkenness and sorrow thou art filled, A cup of astonishment and desolation, The cup of thy sister Samaria.

34. നീ അതു കുടിച്ചു വറ്റിച്ചു ഉടെച്ചു കഷണങ്ങളെ നക്കി നിന്റെ മുലകളെ കീറിക്കളയും; ഞാന് അതു കല്പിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു എന്നു യഹോവയായ കര്ത്താവിന്റെ അരുളപ്പാടു.

34. And thou hast drunk it, and hast drained [it], And its earthen ware thou dost gnaw, And thine own breasts thou pluckest off, For I have spoken, An affirmation of the Lord Jehovah,

35. ആകയാല് യഹോവയായ കര്ത്താവു ഇപ്രകാരം അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നുനീ എന്നെ മറന്നു എന്നെ നിന്റെ പിറകില് എറിഞ്ഞുകളകകൊണ്ടു നീ നിന്റെ ദുര്മ്മര്യാദയും പരസംഗവും വഹിക്ക.

35. Therefore, thus said the Lord Jehovah: Because thou hast forgotten Me, And thou dost cast Me behind thy back, Even thou also bear thy wickedness and thy whoredoms.'

36. പിന്നെയും യഹോവ എന്നോടു അരുളിച്ചെയ്തതുമനുഷ്യപുത്രാ, നീ ഒഹൊലയെയും ഒഹൊലീബയെയും ന്യായംവിധിക്കുമോ? എന്നാല് അവരുടെ മ്ളേച്ഛതകളെ അവരോടു അറിയിക്ക.

36. And Jehovah saith unto me, 'Son of man, Dost thou judge Aholah and Aholibah? Declare then to them their abominations.

37. അവര് വ്യഭിചാരം ചെയ്തു, അവരുടെ കയ്യില് രക്തം ഉണ്ടു; തങ്ങളുടെ വിഗ്രഹങ്ങളോടു അവര് വ്യഭിചാരം ചെയ്തു; അവര് എനിക്കു പ്രസവിച്ച മക്കളെ അവേക്കു ഭോജനമായി അഗ്നിപ്രവേശം ചെയ്യിച്ചു.

37. For they have committed adultery, And blood [is] in their hands, With their idols they committed adultery, And also their sons whom they bore to Me, They caused to pass over to them for food.

38. ഒന്നുകൂടെ അവര് എന്നോടു ചെയ്തിരിക്കുന്നുഅന്നാളില് തന്നേ അവര് എന്റെ വിശുദ്ധമന്ദിരത്തെ തീണ്ടിച്ചു എന്റെ ശബ്ബത്തുകളെ അശുദ്ധമാക്കി.

38. Again, this they have done to Me, They defiled My sanctuary in that day, And My sabbaths they have polluted.

39. അവര് തങ്ങളുടെ മക്കളെ വിഗ്രഹങ്ങള്ക്കു വേണ്ടി കൊന്ന ശേഷം അന്നു തന്നേ അവര് എന്റെ വിശുദ്ധമന്ദിരത്തെ അശുദ്ധമാക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു അതിലേക്കു വന്നു; ഇങ്ങനെയത്രേ അവര് എന്റെ ആലയത്തിന്റെ നടുവില് ചെയ്തതു.

39. And in their slaughtering their sons to their idols They also come in unto My sanctuary in that day to pollute it, And lo, thus they have done in the midst of My house,

40. ഇതുകൂടാതെ ദൂരത്തുനിന്നു വന്ന പുരുഷന്മാര്ക്കും അവര് ആളയച്ചു; ഒരു ദൂതന് അവരുടെ അടുക്കല് ചെന്ന ഉടനെ അവര് വന്നു; അവര്ക്കും വേണ്ടി നീ കുളിച്ചു, കണ്ണില് മഷി എഴുതി, ആഭരണം അണിഞ്ഞു,

40. And also that they send to men coming from afar, Unto whom a messenger is sent, And lo, they have come in for whom thou hast washed, Painted thine eyes, and put on adornment.

41. ഭംഗിയുള്ളോരു കട്ടിലിന്മേല് ഇരുന്നു, അതിന്റെ മുമ്പില് ഒരു മേശ ഒരുക്കി, അതിന്മേല് എന്റെ കുന്തുരുക്കവും എണ്ണയും വെച്ചു;

41. And thou hast sat on a couch of honour, And a table arrayed before it, And My perfume and My oil placed on it.

42. നിര്ഭയമായിരിക്കുന്ന ഒരു പുരുഷാരത്തിന്റെ ഘോഷം അവളോടു കൂടെ ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നു; ജനസമൂഹത്തിലെ പുരുഷന്മാരുടെ അടുക്കല് അവര് ആളയച്ചു, മരുഭൂമിയില്നിന്നു കുടിയന്മാരെ കൊണ്ടുവന്നു; അവര് അവരുടെ കൈകൂ വളയിടുകയും തലയില് ഭംഗിയുള്ള കിരീടങ്ങള് വെക്കയും ചെയ്തു.

42. And the voice of a multitude at ease [is] with her, And unto men of the common people are brought in Sabeans from the wilderness, And they put bracelets on their hands, And a beauteous crown on their heads.

43. അപ്പോള് ഞാന് കിഴവിയായവള് വ്യഭിചാരം ചെയ്യും; ഇപ്പോള് അവര് അവളോടും അവള് അവരോടും പരസംഗം ചെയ്യും എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

43. And I say of the worn-out one in adulteries, Now they commit her whoredoms -- she also!

44. അങ്ങനെ വേശ്യയുടെ അടുക്കല് ചെല്ലുന്നതുപോലെ അവര് അവളുടെ അടുക്കല് ചെന്നു; അതെ അവര് കാമുകികളായ ഒഹൊലയുടെ അടുക്കലും ഒഹൊലീബയുടെ അടുക്കലും ചെന്നു.

44. And they come in unto her, As the coming in unto a whorish woman, So they have come in unto Aholah, And unto Aholibah -- the wicked women.

45. എന്നാല് നീതിമാന്മാരായ പുരുഷന്മാര് വ്യഭിചാരിണികള്ക്കു തക്ക ന്യായപ്രകാരവും രക്തപാതകികള്ക്കു തക്ക ന്യായപ്രകാരവും അവരെ ന്യായം വിധിക്കും; അവര് വ്യഭിചാരിണികളല്ലോ; അവരുകട കയ്യില് രക്തവും ഉണ്ടു.

45. As to righteous men, they judge them with the judgment of adulteresses, And the judgment of women shedding blood, For they [are] adulteresses, And blood [is] in their hands.

46. യഹോവയായ കര്ത്താവു ഇപ്രകാരം അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നുഞാന് അവരുടെ നേരെ ഒരു സഭ കൂട്ടി അവരെ പരിഭ്രമത്തിന്നും കവര്ച്ചെക്കും ഏല്പിക്കും.

46. For thus said the Lord Jehovah: Bring up against them an assembly, And give them to trembling and to spoiling.

47. ആ സഭ അവരെ കല്ലെറിഞ്ഞു വാള്കൊണ്ടു വെട്ടിക്കളയും; അവരുടെ പുത്രന്മാരെയും പുത്രിമാരെയും അവര് കൊന്നു അവരുടെ വീടുകളെ തീവെച്ചു ചുട്ടുകളയും.

47. And they have cast at them the stone of the assembly, And cut them with their swords, Their sons and their daughters they do slay, And their houses with fire they burn.

48. ഇങ്ങനെ നിങ്ങളുടെ ദുര്മ്മര്യാദപോലെ ചെയ്യാതിരിപ്പാന് സകലസ്ത്രീകളുടെ ഒരു പാഠം പഠിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു ഞാന് ദുര്മ്മര്യാദ ദേശത്തുനിന്നു നീക്കിക്കളയും.

48. And I have caused wickedness to cease from the land, And instructed have been all the women, And they do not according to your wickedness.

49. അങ്ങനെ അവര് നിങ്ങളുടെ ദുര്മ്മര്യാദെക്കു തക്കവണ്ണം നിങ്ങള്ക്കു പകരം ചെയ്യും; നിങ്ങള് നിങ്ങളുടെ വിഗ്രഹങ്ങളുടെ പാപങ്ങളെ ചുമക്കേണ്ടിവരും; ഞാന് യഹോവയായ കര്ത്താവു എന്നു നിങ്ങള് അറിയും.

49. And they have put your wickedness on you, And the sins of your idols ye bear, And ye have known that I [am] the Lord Jehovah!
