1. പത്താം ആണ്ടു, പത്താം മാസം, പന്ത്രണ്ടാം തിയ്യതി യഹോവയുടെ അരുളപ്പാടു എനിക്കുണ്ടായതെന്തെന്നാല്

1. In the tenth year, in the tenth month, in the twelfth of the month, the Word of Jehovah came to me, saying,

2. മനുഷ്യപുത്രാ, നീ മിസ്രയീംരാജാവായ ഫറവോന്റെ നേരെ മുഖംതിരിച്ചു അവനെക്കുറിച്ചും എല്ലാ മിസ്രയീമിനെക്കുറിച്ചും പ്രവചിച്ചു പറയേണ്ടതെന്തെന്നാല്

2. Son of man, set your face against Pharaoh king of Egypt, and prophesy against him and against all Egypt.

3. യഹോവയായ കര്ത്താവു ഇപ്രകാരം അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നുമിസ്രയീംരാജാവായ ഫറവോനേ, തന്റെ നദികളുടെ നടുവില് കിടന്നുഈ നദി എനിക്കുള്ളതാകുന്നു; ഞാന് അതിനെ എനിക്കായിട്ടുണ്ടാക്കിയിരിക്കുന്നു എന്നു പറയുന്ന മഹാനക്രമേ, ഞാന് നിനക്കു വിരോധമായിരിക്കുന്നു.

3. Speak and say, So says the Lord Jehovah: Behold, I, even I, am against you, Pharaoh king of Egypt, the great dragon who lies in the midst of his rivers, who has said, My river is mine, and I have made it.

4. ഞാന് നിന്റെ ചെകിളയില് ചൂണ്ടല് കൊളുത്തി നിന്റെ നദികളിലെ മത്സ്യങ്ങളെ നിന്റെ ചെതുമ്പലില് പറ്റുമാറാക്കി നിന്നെ നിന്റെ നദികളുടെ നടുവില്നിന്നു വലിച്ചുകയറ്റും; നിന്റെ നദികളിലെ മത്സ്യം ഒക്കെയും നിന്റെ ചെതുമ്പലില് പറ്റിയിരിക്കും.

4. But I will put hooks in your jaws, and I will cause the fish of your rivers to stick to your scales, and I will bring you up out of the midst of your rivers, and all the fish of your rivers shall stick to your scales.

5. ഞാന് നിന്നെയും നിന്റെ നദികളിലെ മത്സ്യങ്ങളെ ഒക്കെയും മരുഭൂമിയില് എറിഞ്ഞുകളയും; നീ വെളിന് പ്രദേശത്തു വീഴും; ആരും നിന്നെ പെറുക്കുകയോ ശേഖരിക്കയോ ചെയ്കയില്ല; ഞാന് നിന്നെ കാട്ടുമൃഗങ്ങള്ക്കും ആകാശത്തിലെ പക്ഷികള്ക്കും ഇരയായി കൊടുക്കും.

5. And I will leave you to the wilderness, you and all the fish of your rivers. You shall fall on the open fields; you shall not be removed nor gathered. I have given you for food to the beasts of the field and to the birds of the heavens.

6. മിസ്രയീംനിവാസികള് യിസ്രായേല്ഗൃഹത്തിന്നു ഒരു ഔടക്കോലായിരുന്നതുകൊണ്ടു അവരൊക്കെയും ഞാന് യഹോവ എന്നു അറിയും.

6. And all the people of Egypt shall know that I am Jehovah, because they have been a staff of reed to the house of Israel.

7. അവര് നിന്നെ കയ്യില് പിടിച്ചപ്പോഴേക്കു നീ ഒടിഞ്ഞു അവരുടെ തോള് ഒക്കെയും കീറിക്കളഞ്ഞു; അവര് ഊന്നിയപ്പോഴേക്കു നീ ഒടിഞ്ഞു അവരുടെ നടുവൊക്കെയും കുലുങ്ങുമാറാക്കി.

7. When they took you by your hand, you broke and tore off all their shoulder. And when they leaned on you, you shattered and made all their loins stand.

8. അതുകൊണ്ടു യഹോവയായ കര്ത്താവു ഇപ്രകാരം അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നുഞാന് നിന്റെ നേരെ വാള് വരുത്തി നിങ്കല്നിന്നു മനുഷ്യനെയും മൃഗത്തെയും ഛേദിച്ചുകളയും.

8. So the Lord Jehovah says this: Behold, I will bring a sword on you, and cut off man and beast from you.

9. മിസ്രയീംദേശം പാഴും ശൂന്യവുമായ്തീരും; ഞാന് യഹോവ എന്നു അവര് അറിയും; നദി എനിക്കുള്ളതാകുന്നു; ഞാന് അതിനെ ഉണ്ടാക്കിയിരിക്കുന്നു എന്നു അവന് പറഞ്ഞുവല്ലോ.

9. And the land of Egypt shall be a desert and waste; and they shall know that I am Jehovah, because he has said, The river is mine, and I have made it.

10. അതുകൊണ്ടു ഞാന് നിനക്കും നിന്റെ നദികള്ക്കും വിരോധമായിരുന്നു മിസ്രയീംദേശത്തെ സെവേനെഗോപുരം മുതല് കൂശിന്റെ അതൃത്തിവരെ അശേഷം പാഴും ശൂന്യവുമാക്കും.

10. Behold, and therefore I am against you and against your rivers, and I will make the land of Egypt a complete waste, a ruin, from Migdol to Syene, even to the border of Ethiopia.

11. മനുഷ്യന്റെ കാല് അതില്കൂടി കടന്നുപോകയില്ല; മൃഗത്തിന്റെ കാല് അതില് ചവിട്ടുകയുമില്ല; നാല്പതു സംവത്സരത്തേക്കു അതില് നിവാസികള് ഇല്ലാതെയിരിക്കും.

11. No foot of man shall pass through it, nor foot of beast shall pass through it, and you shall not live in it forty years.

12. ഞാന് മിസ്രയീംദേശത്തെ ശൂന്യദേശങ്ങളുടെ കൂട്ടത്തില് ശൂന്യമാക്കും; അതിലെ പട്ടണങ്ങള് ശൂന്യപട്ടണങ്ങളുടെ കൂട്ടത്തില് നാല്പതു സംവത്സരത്തേക്കു ശൂന്യമായിരിക്കും; ഞാന് മിസ്രയീമ്യരെ ജാതികളുടെ ഇടയില് ചിന്നിച്ചു ദേശങ്ങളില് ചിതറിച്ചുകളയും.

12. And I will make the land of Egypt a ruin in the midst of the ruined lands; and her cities shall be deserted forty years among the cities that are laid waste. And I will scatter the Egyptians among the nations, and will scatter them through the lands.

13. യഹോവയായ കര്ത്താവു ഇപ്രകാരം അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നുനാല്പതു സംവത്സരം കഴിഞ്ഞിട്ടു ഞാന് മിസ്രയീമ്യരെ അവര് ചിന്നിപ്പോയിരിക്കുന്ന ജാതികളില്നിന്നു ശേഖരിക്കും.

13. Yet so says the Lord Jehovah: At the end of forty years I will gather the Egyptians from the peoples where they were scattered.

14. ഞാന് മിസ്രയീമിന്റെ പ്രവാസം മാറ്റി അവരെ അവരുടെ ജന്മദേശമായ പത്രോസ് ദേശത്തേക്കു മടക്കിവരുത്തും; അവിടെ അവര് ഒരു ഹീനരാജ്യമായിരിക്കും.

14. And I will bring again the captivity of Egypt, and will cause them to return to the land of Pathros, into their homeland. And they shall be a low kingdom there.

15. അതു രാജ്യങ്ങളില്വെച്ചു അതിഹീനമായിരിക്കും; ഇനി ജാതികള്ക്കു മേലായി അതു തന്നെത്താന് ഉയര്ത്തുകയും ഇല്ല; അവര് ജാതികളുടെമേല് വാഴാതവണ്ണം ഞാന് അവരെ കുറെച്ചുകളയും.

15. It shall be the lowest of the kingdoms, and shall no more exalt itself above the nations. For I will make them so few, that they shall no more rule over the nations.

16. യിസ്രായേല്ഗൃഹം തിരിഞ്ഞു അവരെ നോക്കുമ്പോള്, അതു ഇനി അവരുടെ അകൃത്യം ഔര്പ്പിക്കുന്നതായോരു ശരണമായിരിക്കയില്ല; ഞാന് യഹോവയായ കര്ത്താവു എന്നു അവര് അറിയും.

16. And it shall never again be the hope of the house of Israel, recalling the iniquity of their turning after them. And they shall know that I am the Lord Jehovah.

17. ഇരുപത്തേഴാം ആണ്ടു, ഒന്നാം മാസം, ഒന്നാം തിയ്യതി യഹോവയുടെ അരുളപ്പാടു എനിക്കുണ്ടായതെന്തെന്നാല്

17. And it happened in the twenty-seventh year, in the first month, in the first of the month, the Word of Jehovah came to me, saying,

18. മനുഷ്യപുത്രാ, ബാബേല്രാജാവായ നെബൂഖദ് നേസര് സോരിന്റെ നേരെ തന്റെ സൈന്യത്തെക്കൊണ്ടു വലിയ വേലി ചെയ്യിച്ചു; എല്ലാതലയും കഷണ്ടിയായി എല്ലാചുമലും തോലുരിഞ്ഞുപോയി; എങ്കിലും സോരിന്നു വിരോധമായി ചെയ്ത വേലെക്കു അവന്നോ അവന്റെ സൈന്യത്തിന്നോ അവിടെനിന്നു പ്രതിഫലം കിട്ടിയില്ല.

18. Son of man, Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon caused his army to serve a great service against Tyre. Every head was made bald, and every shoulder was peeled. Yet neither he nor his army had any pay for Tyre, for the service that he had served against it.

19. അതുകൊണ്ടു യഹോവയായ കര്ത്താവു ഇപ്രകാരം അരുളിച്ചെയ്യന്നുഞാന് മിസ്രയീംദേശത്തെ ബാബേല്രാജാവായ നെബൂഖദ്നേസരിന്നു കൊടുക്കും; അവന് അതിലെ സമ്പത്തു എടുത്തു അതിനെ കൊള്ളയിട്ടു കവര്ച്ചചെയ്യും; അതു അവന്റെ സൈന്യത്തിന്നു പ്രതിഫലമായിരിക്കും.

19. So the Lord Jehovah says this: Behold, I will give the land of Egypt to Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon. And he shall take her host, and take her spoil, and seize her plunder. And it shall be the wages for his army.

20. ഞാന് അവന്നു മിസ്രയീംദേശത്തെ അവന് ചെയ്തവേലെക്കു പ്രതിഫലമായി കൊടുക്കുന്നു; അവര് എനിക്കായിട്ടല്ലോ പ്രവര്ത്തിച്ചതു എന്നു യഹോവയായ കര്ത്താവിന്റെ അരുളപ്പാടു.

20. I have given him the land of Egypt for his labor with which he served against it, because they worked for Me, says the Lord Jehovah.

21. അന്നാളില് ഞാന് യിസ്രായേല്ഗൃഹത്തിന്നു ഒരു കൊമ്പു മുളെക്കുമാറാക്കി അവരുടെ നടുവില് നിനക്കു തുറന്ന വായ് നലകും; ഞാന് യഹോവ എന്നു അവര് അറിയും.

21. In that day I will make a horn spring up to the house of Israel, and I will give you the opening of the mouth in their midst. And they shall know that I am Jehovah.
