1. പന്ത്രണ്ടാം ആണ്ടു, പന്ത്രണ്ടാം മാസം, ഒന്നാം തിയ്യതി യഹോവയുടെ അരുളപ്പാടു എനിക്കുണ്ടായതെന്തെന്നാല്

1. Twelve years after King Jehoiachin and the rest of us had been led away as prisoners to Babylonia, the LORD spoke to me on the first day of the twelfth month. He said:

2. മനുഷ്യപുത്രാ, നീ മിസ്രയീംരാജാവായ ഫറവോനെക്കുറിച്ചു ഒരു വിലാപം തുടങ്ങി അവനോടു പറയേണ്ടതുജാതികളില് ബാലസിംഹമായുള്ളോവേ, നീ നശിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു; നീ കടലിലെ നക്രംപോലെ ആയിരുന്നു; നീ നദികളില് ചാടി കാല്കൊണ്ടു വെള്ളം കലക്കി നദികളെ അഴുക്കാക്കിക്കളഞ്ഞു.

2. Ezekiel, son of man, condemn the king of Egypt and tell him I am saying: You act like a lion roaming the earth; but you are nothing more than a crocodile in a river, churning up muddy water with your feet.

3. യഹോവയായ കര്ത്താവു ഇപ്രകാരം അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നുഞാന് അനേകം ജാതികളുടെ കൂട്ടത്തെക്കൊണ്ടു നിന്റെ മേല് എന്റെ വലയെ വീശിക്കും; അവര് എന്റെ വലയില് നിന്നെ വലിച്ചെടുക്കും;

3. King of Egypt, listen to me. I, the LORD God, will catch you in my net and let a crowd of foreigners drag you to shore.

4. I will throw you into an open field, where birds and animals will come to feed on your body.

5. ഞാന് നിന്റെ മാംസത്തെ പര്വ്വതങ്ങളിന്മേല് കൂട്ടി നിന്റെ പിണംകൊണ്ടു താഴ്വരകളെ നിറെക്കും.

5. I will spread your rotting flesh over the mountains and in the valleys,

6. ഞാന് നിന്റെ ചെളിനിലത്തെ മലകളോളം നിന്റെ രക്തംകൊണ്ടു നനെക്കും; നീര്ച്ചാലുകള് നിന്നാല് നിറയും.

6. and your blood will flow throughout the land and fill up the streams.

7. I will cover the whole sky and every star with thick clouds, so that the sun and moon will stop shining.

8. The heavens will become black, leaving your country in total darkness. I, the LORD, have spoken.

9. Foreign nations you have never heard of will be shocked when I tell them how I destroyed you.

10. ഞാന് അനേകം ജാതികളെ നിന്നെച്ചൊല്ലി സ്തംഭിക്കുമാറാക്കും; അവരുടെ രാജാക്കന്മാര് കാണ്കെ ഞാന് എന്റെ വാള് വീശുമ്പോള്, അവര് നിന്റെ നിമിത്തം അത്യന്തം പേടിച്ചുപോകും; നിന്റെ വീഴ്ചയുടെ നാളില് അവര് ഔരോരുത്തനും താന്താന്റെ പ്രാണനെ ഔര്ത്തു മാത്രതോറും വിറെക്കും.

10. They will be horrified, and when I flash my sword in victory on the day of your death, their kings will tremble in the fear of what could happen to them.

11. യഹോവയായ കര്ത്താവു ഇപ്രകാരം അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നുബാബേല്രാജാവിന്റെ വാള് നിന്റെ നേരെ വരും.

11. The king of Babylonia is coming to attack you, king of Egypt!

12. വീരന്മാരുടെ വാള്കൊണ്ടു ഞാന് നിന്റെ പുരുഷാരത്തെ വീഴുമാറാക്കും; അവരെല്ലാവരും ജാതികളില്വെച്ചു ഉഗ്രന്മാര്; അവര് മിസ്രയീമിന്റെ പ്രതാപത്തെ ശൂന്യമാക്കും; അതിലെ പുരുഷാരമൊക്കെയും നശിച്ചുപോകും.

12. Your soldiers will be killed by the cruelest army in the world, and everything you take pride in will be crushed.

13. വളരെ വെള്ളത്തിന്നരികെനിന്നു ഞാന് അതിലെ സകലമൃഗങ്ങളെയും നശിപ്പിക്കും ഇനിമേല് മനുഷ്യന്റെ കാല് അതിനെ കലക്കുകയില്ല; മൃഗങ്ങളുടെ കുളമ്പും അതിനെ കലക്കുകയില്ല.

13. I will slaughter your cattle that graze by the river, and no people or livestock will be left to muddy its water.

14. ആ കാലത്തു ഞാന് അവരുടെ വെള്ളം തെളിയുമാറാക്കി അവരുടെ നദികളെ എണ്ണപോലെ ഒഴുകുമാറാക്കും എന്നു യഹോവയായ കര്ത്താവിന്റെ അരുളപ്പാടു.

14. The water will be clear, and streams will be calm. I, the LORD God, have spoken.

15. ഞാന് മിസ്രയീംദേശത്തെ പാഴാക്കി ദേശം ശൂന്യമായി അതിലുള്ളതൊക്കെയും ഇല്ലാതാകുമ്പോഴും ഞാന് അതിലെ നിവാസികളെ ഒക്കെയും നശിപ്പിക്കുമ്പോഴും, ഞാന് യഹോവ എന്നു അവര് അറിയും.

15. Egypt will become a barren wasteland, and no living thing will ever survive there. Then you and your people will know that I am the LORD.

16. അവര് അതിനെക്കുറിച്ചു വിലപിക്കുന്ന വിലാപം ഇതത്രേ; ജാതികളുടെ പുത്രിമാര് ഇതു ചൊല്ലി വിലപിക്കും; അവര് മിസ്രയീമിനെക്കുറിച്ചും അതിലെ സകലപുരുഷന്മാരെക്കുറിച്ചും ഇതു ചൊല്ലി വിലപിക്കും എന്നു യഹോവയായ കര്ത്താവിന്റെ അരുളപ്പാടു.

16. This is your warning, and it will be used as a funeral song by foreign women to mourn the death of your people. I, the LORD God, have spoken.

17. പന്ത്രണ്ടാം ആണ്ടു, ആ മാസം പതിനഞ്ചാം തിയ്യതി യഹോവയുടെ അരുളപ്പാടു എനിക്കുണ്ടായതെന്തെന്നാല്

17. On the fifteenth day of that same month, the LORD said:

18. മനുഷ്യപുത്രാ, നീ മിസ്രയീമിലെ പുരുഷാരത്തെക്കുറിച്ചു വിലപിച്ചു അതിനെയും ശ്രുതിപ്പെട്ട ജാതികളുടെ പുത്രിമാരെയും കുഴിയില് ഇറങ്ങുന്നവരോടു കൂടെ ഭൂമിയുടെ അധോഭാഗത്തു തള്ളിയിടുക.

18. Ezekiel, son of man, mourn for the Egyptians and condemn them to the world of the dead, where they will be buried alongside the people of other powerful nations.

19. സൌന്ദര്യത്തില് നീ ആരെക്കാള് വിശേഷപ്പെട്ടിരിക്കുന്നു; നീ ഇറങ്ങിച്ചെന്നു അഗ്രചര്മ്മികളുടെ കൂട്ടത്തില് കിടക്കുക.

19. Say to them: You may be more beautiful than the people of other nations, but you will also die and join the godless in the world below.

20. വാളാല് നിഹതന്മാരായവരുടെ നടുവില് അവര് വീഴും; വാള് നിയമിക്കപ്പെട്ടിരിക്കുന്നു; അതിനെയും അതിന്റെ സകലപുരുഷാരത്തെയും വലിച്ചുകൊണ്ടുപോകുവിന് .

20. You cannot escape! The enemy's sword is ready to slaughter every one of you.

21. വീരന്മാരില് ബലവാന്മാരായവര് അവന്റെ സഹായക്കാരോടുകൂടെ പാതാളത്തിന്റെ നടുവില്നിന്നു അവനോടു സംസാരിക്കും; അഗ്രചര്മ്മികളായി വാളാല് നിഹതന്മാരയവര് ഇറങ്ങിച്ചെന്നു അവിടെ കിടക്കുന്നു.

21. Brave military leaders killed in battle will gladly welcome you and your allies into the world of the dead.

22. അവിടെ അശ്ശൂരും അതിന്റെ സര്വ്വസമൂഹവും ഉണ്ടു; അവന്റെ ശവകൂഴികള് അവന്റെ ചുറ്റും കിടക്കുന്നു; അവരെല്ലാവരും വാളാല് നിഹതന്മാരായി വീണവര് തന്നേ.

22. The graves of soldiers from Assyria are there. They once terrified people, but they were killed in battle and now lie deep in the world of the dead.

23. അവരുടെ ശവകൂഴികള് പാതാളത്തിന്റെ അങ്ങെയറ്റത്തിരിക്കുന്നു; അതിന്റെ സമൂഹം അതിന്റെ ശവകൂഴിയുടെ ചുറ്റും ഇരിക്കുന്നു; ജീവനുള്ളവരുടെ ദേശത്തു ഭീതി പരത്തിയ അവരെല്ലാവരും വാളാല് നിഹതന്മാരായി വീണിരിക്കുന്നു.

24. അവിടെ ഏലാമും അതിന്റെ ശവകൂഴിയുടെ ചുറ്റും അതിന്റെ സകലപുരുഷാരവും ഉണ്ടു; അവര് എല്ലാവരും വാളാല് നിഹതന്മാരായി വീണു അഗ്രചര്മ്മികളായി ഭൂമിയുടെ അധോഭാഗത്തു ഇറങ്ങിപ്പോയിരിക്കുന്നു; ജീവനുള്ളവരുടെ ദേശത്തു അവര് നീതി പരത്തി; എങ്കിലും കുഴിയില് ഇറങ്ങുന്നവരോടുകൂടെ അവര് ലജ്ജ വഹിക്കുന്നു.

24. The graves of soldiers from Elam are there. The very sight of those godless soldiers once terrified their enemies and made them panic. But now they are disgraced and ashamed as they lie in the world of the dead, alongside others who were killed in battle.

25. നിഹതന്മാരുടെ മദ്ധ്യേ അവര് അതിന്നു അതിന്റെ സകലപുരുഷാരത്തിന്നും ഒരു കിടക്ക വിരിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു; അതിന്റെ ശവകൂഴികള് അതിന്റെ ചുറ്റും ഇരിക്കുന്നു; അവരൊക്കെയും അഗ്രചര്മ്മികളായി വാളാല് നിഹതന്മാരാകുന്നു; ജീവനുള്ളവരുടെ ദേശത്തു അവര് ഭീതി പരത്തിയിരിക്കയാല് കുഴിയില് ഇറങ്ങുന്നവരോടുകൂടെ ലജ്ജ വഹിക്കുന്നു; നിഹതന്മാരുടെ മദ്ധ്യേ അതു കിടക്കുന്നു.

26. അവിടെ മേശെക്കും തൂബലും അതിന്റെ സകലപുരുഷാരവും ഉണ്ടു; അതിന്റെ ശവകൂഴികള് അതിന്റെ ചുറ്റും ഇരിക്കുന്നു; അവര് ജീവനുള്ളവരുടെ ദേശത്തു ഭീതി പരത്തിയിരിക്കയാല് അവരൊക്കെയും അഗ്രചര്മ്മികളായി വാളാല് നിഹതന്മാരായിരിക്കുന്നു.

26. The graves of soldiers from Meshech and Tubal are there. These godless soldiers who terrified people were all killed in battle.

27. അവര് ജീവനുള്ളവരുടെ ദേശത്തു വീരന്മാര്ക്കും ഭീതി ആയിരുന്നതുകൊണ്ടു തങ്ങളുടെ അകൃത്യങ്ങളെ അസ്ഥികളിന്മേല് ചുമന്നും തങ്ങളുടെ വാളുകളെ തലെക്കു കീഴെ വെച്ചുംകൊണ്ടു അഗ്രചര്മ്മികളില് പട്ടുപോയ വീരന്മാരായി പടക്കോപ്പോടുകൂടെ പാതാളത്തില് ഇറങ്ങിയവരുടെ കൂട്ടത്തില് കിടക്കേണ്ടതല്ലയോ?

27. They were not given a proper burial like the heroes of long ago, who were buried with their swords under their heads and with their shields over their bodies. These were the heroes who made their enemies panic.

28. നീയോ അഗ്രചര്മ്മികളുടെ കൂട്ടത്തില് തകര്ന്നുപോകയും വാളാല് നിഹതന്മാരായവരോടുകൂടെ കിടക്കുകയും ചെയ്യും.

28. You Egyptians will be cruelly defeated, and you will be buried alongside these other godless soldiers who died in battle.

29. അവിടെ ഏദോമും അതിന്റെ രാജാക്കന്മാരും സകലപ്രഭുക്കന്മാരും ഉണ്ടു; അവര് തങ്ങളുടെ വല്ലഭത്വത്തില് വാളാല് നിഹതന്മാരായവരുടെ കൂട്ടത്തില് കിടക്കേണ്ടിവന്നു; അവര് അഗ്രചര്മ്മികളോടും കുഴിയില് ഇറങ്ങുന്നവരോടും കൂടെ കിടക്കുന്നു.

29. The graves of kings and leaders from Edom are there. They were powerful at one time. Now they are buried in the world of the dead with other godless soldiers killed in battle.

30. അവിടെ വടക്കെ പ്രഭുക്കന്മാരെല്ലാവരും നിഹതന്മാരോടു കൂടെ ഇറങ്ങിപ്പോയ സകല സീദോന്യരും ഉണ്ടു; അവര് തങ്ങളുടെ വല്ലഭത്വത്താല് പരത്തിയ ഭീതിനിമിത്തം ലജ്ജിക്കുന്നു; അവര് അഗ്രചര്മ്മികളായി വാളാല് നിഹതന്മാരായവരോടുകൂടെു കിടക്കുകയും കുഴിയില് ഇറങ്ങുന്നവരോടുകൂടെ ലജ്ജ വഹിക്കയും ചെയ്യുന്നു.

30. The graves of the rulers of the north are there, as well as those of the Sidonians. Their powerful armies once terrified enemies. Now they lie buried in the world of the dead, where they are disgraced like other soldiers killed in battle.

31. അവരെ ഫറവോന് കണ്ടു തന്റെ സകലപുരുഷാരത്തെയും കുറിച്ചു ആശ്വസിക്കും; ഫറവോനും അവന്റെ സകലസൈന്യവും വാളാല് നിഹതന്മാരായിരിക്കുന്നു എന്നു യഹോവയായ കര്ത്താവിന്റെ അരുളപ്പാടു.

31. The LORD God says: When your king of Egypt sees all of these graves, he and his soldiers will be glad they are not the only ones suffering.

32. ഞാനല്ലോ അവന്റെ ഭീതി ജീവനുള്ളവരുടെ ദേശത്തു പരത്തിയതു; ഫറവോനും അവന്റെ പുരുഷാരമൊക്കെയും വാളാല് നിഹതന്മാരായവരോടുകൂടെ അഗ്രചര്മ്മികളുടെ കൂട്ടത്തില് കിടക്കേണ്ടിവരും എന്നു യഹോവയായ കര്ത്താവിന്റെ അരുളപ്പാടു.

32. I sent him to terrify people all over the earth. But he and his army will be killed and buried alongside other godless soldiers in the world of the dead. I, the LORD God, have spoken.
