1. യഹോവയുടെ അരുളപ്പാടു എനിക്കുണ്ടായതെന്തെന്നാല്

1. A message came to me from the Lord. He said,

2. മനുഷ്യപുത്രാ, നീ സെയീര് പര്വ്വതത്തിന്നു നേരെ മുഖം തിരിച്ചു അതിനെക്കുറിച്ചു പ്രവചിച്ചു അതിനോടു പറയേണ്ടതു

2. 'Son of man, turn your attention to Mount Seir. Prophesy against it.

3. യഹോവയായ കര്ത്താവു ഇപ്രകാരം അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നുസെയീര്പര്വ്വതമേ, ഞാന് നിനക്കു വിരോധമായിരിക്കുന്നു; ഞാന് നിന്റെ നേരെ കൈ നീട്ടി നിന്നെ പാഴും ശൂന്യവുമാക്കും.

3. Tell it, 'The Lord and King says, 'Mount Seir, I am against you. I will reach out my powerful hand against you. I will turn you into a dry and empty desert.

4. ഞാന് നിന്റെ പട്ടണങ്ങളെ ശൂന്യമാക്കും; നീ പാഴായിത്തീരും; ഞാന് യഹോവയെന്നു നീ അറിയും.

4. I will destroy your towns. Your land will become empty. Then you will know that I am the Lord.

5. നീ നിത്യവൈരം ഭാവിച്ചു, യിസ്രായേല്മക്കളുടെ അന്ത്യാകൃത്യകാലമായ അവരുടെ ആപത്തുകാലത്തു അവരെ വാളിന്നു ഏല്പിച്ചുവല്ലോ.

5. ' 'People of Edom, you have been Israel's enemies for a long time. You let many Israelites be killed with swords when they were in great trouble. At that time I used Nebuchadnezzar to punish them and destroy them completely.

6. അതുകൊണ്ടുഎന്നാണ, ഞാന് നിന്നെ രക്തമാക്കിത്തീര്ക്കുംകയും രക്തം നിന്നെ പിന്തുടരുകയും ചെയ്യും; അതേ രക്തം നീ വെറുത്തിരിക്കുന്നു; രക്തം നിന്നെ പിന്തുടരും എന്നു യഹോവയായ കര്ത്താവിന്റെ അരുളപ്പാടു.

6. Now I will hand you over to murderers. They will hunt you down. You murdered others. So murderers will chase you. And that is just as sure as I am alive,' announces the Lord and King.

7. അങ്ങനെ ഞാന് സെയീര്പര്വ്വതത്തെ പാഴും ശൂന്യവുമാക്കി, ഗതാഗതം ചെയ്യുന്നവരെ അതില് നിന്നു ഛേദിച്ചുകളയും.

7. ' ' 'I will turn Mount Seir into a dry and empty desert. No one will be able to go anywhere or do anything there.

8. ഞാന് അതിന്റെ മലകളെ നിഹതന്മാരെക്കൊണ്ടു നിറെക്കും നിന്റെ കുന്നുകളിലും താഴ്വരകളിലും നിന്റെ സകലനദികളിലും വാളാല് നിഹതന്മാരായവര് വീഴും.

8. I will fill your mountains with dead bodies. Some of those who are killed with swords will fall down dead on your hills. Others will die in your valleys and in all of your canyons.

9. ഞാന് നിന്നെ ശാശ്വതശൂന്യങ്ങളാക്കും; നിന്റെ പട്ടണങ്ങള് നിവാസികള് ഇല്ലാതെയിരിക്കും; ഞാന് യഹോവ എന്നു നിങ്ങള് അറിയും.

9. I will make your land empty forever. No one will live in your towns. Then you will know that I am the Lord.

10. യഹോവ അവിടെ ഉണ്ടായിരിക്കെഈ ജാതി രണ്ടും ഈ ദേശം രണ്ടും എനിക്കുള്ളവയാകും; ഞങ്ങള് അതു കൈവശമാക്കും എന്നു നീ പറഞ്ഞിരിക്കകൊണ്ടു

10. ' ' 'You said, 'The nations of Israel and Judah will belong to us. We will take them over.' You said that, even though I was there. I am the Lord.

11. എന്നാണ, നീ അവരോടു നിന്റെ ദ്വേഷം ഹേതുവായി കാണിച്ചിരിക്കുന്ന കോപത്തിന്നും അസൂയെക്കും ഒത്തവണ്ണം ഞാനും പ്രവര്ത്തിക്കും; ഞാന് നിനക്കു ന്യായം വിധിക്കുമ്പോള് ഞാന് അവരുടെ ഇടയില് എന്നെത്തന്നേ വെളിപ്പെടുത്തും എന്നു യഹോവയായ കര്ത്താവിന്റെ അരുളപ്പാടു.

11. You were full of anger, jealousy and hatred toward my people. So I will punish you. When I judge you, they will know that I am the Lord. And that is just as sure as I am alive,' announces the Lord and King.

12. യിസ്രായേല്പര്വ്വതങ്ങള് ശൂന്യമായിരിക്കുന്നു; അവ ഞങ്ങള്ക്കു ഇരയായി നല്കപ്പെട്ടിരിക്കുന്നു എന്നിങ്ങനെ അവയെക്കുറിച്ചു നീ പറഞ്ഞിരിക്കുന്ന ദൂഷണങ്ങളെ ഒക്കെയും യഹോവയായ ഞാന് കേട്ടിരിക്കുന്നു എന്നു നീ അറിയും.

12. ' ' 'You will know that I have heard all of the terrible things you said about those who live in the mountains of Israel. You made fun of them. You said, 'They have been destroyed. They've been handed over to us. Let's wipe them out.'

13. നിങ്ങള് വായ്കൊണ്ടു എന്റെ നേരെ വമ്പു പറഞ്ഞു എനിക്കു വിരോധമായി നിങ്ങളുടെ വാക്കുകളെ പെരുക്കി; ഞാന് അതു കേട്ടിരിക്കുന്നു.

13. You bragged that you were better than I am. You spoke against me. You did not hold anything back. But I heard it.' ' '

14. യഹോവയായ കര്ത്താവു ഇപ്രകാരം അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നുസര്വ്വഭൂമിയും സന്തോഷിച്ചുകൊണ്ടിരിക്കുമ്പോള് ഞാന് നിന്നെ ശൂന്യമാക്കും.

14. The Lord and King says, 'The whole earth will be glad. But I will make your land empty.

15. യിസ്രായേല്ഗൃഹത്തിന്റെ അവകാശം ശൂന്യമായതില് നീ സന്തോഷിച്ചുവല്ലോ; ഞാന് നിന്നോടും അതുപോലെ ചെയ്യും; സെയീര്പര്വ്വതവും എല്ലാ ഏദോമുമായുള്ളാവേ, നീ ശൂന്യമായ്പോകും; ഞാന് യഹോവയെന്നു അവര് അറിയും.

15. You were happy when the land of Israel became empty. So I will treat you in the same way. Mount Seir, you will be empty. So will the whole land of Edom. Then you will know that I am the Lord.'
