1. അനന്തരം അവന് എന്നെ വിശുദ്ധമന്ദിരത്തിന്റെ കിഴക്കോട്ടു ദര്ശനമുള്ള പുറത്തെ ഗോപുരത്തിലേക്കു മടക്കിക്കൊണ്ടുവന്നു; എന്നാല് അതു അടെച്ചിരുന്നു.

1. Then the man brought me back to the east gate of the Temple area. We were outside the gate and the gate was shut.

2. അപ്പോള് യഹോവ എന്നോടു അരുളിച്ചെയ്തതുഈ ഗോപുരം തുറക്കാതെ അടെച്ചിരിക്കേണം; ആരും അതില്കൂടി കടക്കരുതു; യിസ്രായേലിന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവ അതില്കൂടി അകത്തു കടന്നതുകൊണ്ടു അതു അടെച്ചിരിക്കേണം.

2. The Lord said to me, 'This gate will stay shut. It will not be opened. No one will enter through it, because the Lord of Israel has entered through it. So it must stay shut.

3. പ്രഭുവോ അവന് പ്രഭുവായിരിക്കയാല് യഹോവയുടെ സന്നിധിയില് ഭോജനം കഴിപ്പാന് അവിടെ ഇരിക്കേണം; അവന് ആ ഗോപുരത്തിന്റെ പൂമുഖത്തുകൂടി അകത്തു കടക്കയും അതില്കൂടി പുറത്തു പോകയും വേണം.

3. Only the ruler of the people may sit at this gate when he eats a meal with the Lord. He must enter through the porch of the gateway and go out the same way.'

4. പിന്നെ അവന് എന്നെ വടക്കെ ഗോപുരംവഴിയായി ആലയത്തിന്റെ മുമ്പില് കൊണ്ടുചെന്നു; ഞാന് നോക്കി, യഹോവയുടെ തേജസ്സു യഹോവയുടെ ആലയത്തില് നിറഞ്ഞിരിക്കുന്നതു കണ്ടു കവിണ്ണുവീണു.

4. Then the man led me through the north gate to the front of the Temple. I looked and saw the Glory of the Lord filling the Lord's Temple. I bowed with my face touching the ground.

5. The Lord said to me, 'Son of man, look very carefully! Use your eyes and ears. Look at these things, and listen very carefully to everything that I tell you about all the rules and laws about the Lord's Temple. Look carefully at the entrances to the Temple and at all the exits from the holy place.

6. യിസ്രായേല്ഗൃഹക്കരായ മത്സരികളോടു നീ പറയേണ്ടതുയഹോവയായ കര്ത്താവു ഇപ്രകാരം അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നുയിസ്രായേല്ഗൃഹമേ, നിങ്ങളുടെ സകല മ്ളേച്ഛതകളും മതിയാക്കുവിന് .

6. Then give this message to all the people of Israel who refused to obey me. Tell them, 'This is what the Lord God said: Family of Israel, I have had enough of the terrible things you have done!

7. You brought foreigners into my Temple who are not circumcised and have not given themselves to me. In this way you made my Temple unclean. You broke our agreement and did terrible things, and then you gave me the offerings of bread, the fat, and the blood. But this only made my Temple unclean.

8. നിങ്ങള് എന്റെ വിശുദ്ധവസ്തുക്കളുടെ കാര്യം വിചാരിക്കാതെ അവരെ എന്റെ വിശുദ്ധമന്ദിരത്തില് കാര്യവിചാരണെക്കു ആക്കിയിരിക്കുന്നു.

8. You did not take care of my holy things. No, you let foreigners have responsibility of my holy place!''

9. യഹോവയായ കര്ത്താവു ഇപ്രകാരം അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നുയിസ്രായേല്മക്കളുടെ ഇടയിലുള്ള യാതൊരു അന്യജാതിക്കാരനും, ഹൃദയത്തിലും മാംസത്തിലും അഗ്രചര്മ്മിയായ യാതൊരു അന്യജാതിക്കാരനും തന്നേ, എന്റെ വിശുദ്ധമന്ദിരത്തില് പ്രവേശിക്കരുതു.

9. This is what the Lord God says: 'A foreigner who is not really circumcised must not come into my Temple�not even a foreigner living permanently among the people of Israel. He must be circumcised, and he must give himself completely to me before he can come into my Temple.

10. യിസ്രായേല് തെറ്റിപ്പോയ കാലത്തു എന്നെ വിട്ടകന്നു പോയവരും എന്നെ വിട്ടു തെറ്റി വിഗ്രഹങ്ങളോടു ചേര്ന്നവരുമായ ലേവ്യര് തന്നേ തങ്ങളുടെ അകൃത്യം വഹിക്കേണം.

10. In the past, the Levites left me when Israel turned away from me. Israel left me to follow their idols. The Levites will be punished for their sin.

11. അവര് എന്റെ വിശുദ്ധമന്ദിരത്തില് ആലയത്തിന്റെ പടിവാതില്ക്കല് എല്ലാം ശുശ്രൂഷകന്മാരായി കാവല്നിന്നു ആലയത്തില് ശുശ്രൂഷ ചെയ്യേണം; അവര് ജനത്തിന്നുവേണ്ടി ഹോമയാഗവും ഹനനയാഗവും അറുത്തു അവര്ക്കും ശുശ്രൂഷ ചെയ്യേണ്ടതിന്നു അവരുടെ മുമ്പില് നില്ക്കേണം.

11. The Levites were chosen to serve in my holy place. They guarded the gates of the Temple. They served in the Temple. They killed the animals for the sacrifices and burnt offerings for the people. They were chosen to help the people and to serve them.

12. But the Levites helped the people sin against me! They helped the people worship their idols! So I am making this promise against them: 'They will be punished for their sin.'' This is what the Lord God said.

13. അവര് എനിക്കു പുരോഹിതശുശ്രൂഷ ചെയ്വാനും അതിവിശുദ്ധങ്ങളായ എന്റെ സകല വിശുദ്ധവസ്തുക്കളെയും തൊടുവാനും എന്നോടു അടുത്തുവരാതെ തങ്ങളുടെ ലജ്ജയും തങ്ങള് ചെയ്ത മ്ളേച്ഛതകളും വഹിക്കേണം.

13. So the Levites will not bring offerings to me like the priests. They will not come near any of my holy things or the things that are most holy. They must carry their shame because of the terrible things that they did.

14. എന്നാല് ആലയത്തിന്റെ എല്ലാ വേലെക്കും അതില് ചെയ്വാനുള്ള എല്ലാറ്റിന്നും ഞാന് അവരെ അതില് കാര്യവിചാരകന്മാരാക്കി വേക്കും.

14. But I will let them take care of the Temple. They will work in the Temple and do the things that must be done in it.

15. യിസ്രായേല്മക്കള് എന്നെ വിട്ടു തെറ്റിപ്പോയ കാലത്തു എന്റെ വിശുദ്ധമന്ദിരത്തിന്റെ കാര്യവിചാരണ നടത്തിയിരുന്ന സാദോക്കിന്റെ പുത്രന്മാരായ ലേവ്യപുരോഹിതന്മാര് എനിക്കു ശുശ്രൂഷ ചെയ്യേണ്ടതിന്നു എന്നോടു അടുത്തുവരികയും മേദസ്സും രക്തവും എനിക്കു അര്പ്പിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു എന്റെ മുമ്പാകെ നില്ക്കയും വേണം എന്നു യഹോവയായ കര്ത്താവിന്റെ അരുളപ്പാടു.

15. The priests are all from the tribe of Levi. But only priests from Zadok's family took care of my holy place when the people of Israel turned away from me. So only Zadok's descendants will bring offerings to me. They will stand before me to offer me the fat and the blood from the animals they sacrifice.' This is what the Lord God said!

16. അവര് എന്റെ വിശുദ്ധമന്ദിരത്തില് കടന്നു എനിക്കു ശുശ്രൂഷ ചെയ്യേണ്ടതിന്നു എന്റെ മേശയുടെ അടുക്കല് വരികയും എന്റെ കാര്യവിചാരണ നടത്തുകയും വേണം.

16. They will enter my holy place and come near my table to serve me. They will take care of the things I gave them.

17. എന്നാല് അകത്തെ പ്രാകാരത്തിന്റെ വാതിലുകള്ക്കകത്തു കടക്കുമ്പോള് അവര് ശണവസ്ത്രം ധരിക്കേണം; അകത്തെ പ്രാകാരത്തിന്റെ വാതില്ക്കലും ആലയത്തിന്നകത്തും ശുശ്രൂഷചെയ്യുമ്പോള് ആട്ടിന് രോമംകൊണ്ടുള്ള വസ്ത്രം ധരിക്കരുതു.

17. When they enter the gates of the inner courtyard, they will wear linen clothes. They will not wear wool while they serve at the gates of the inner courtyard and in the Temple.

18. അവരുടെ തലയില് ശണംകൊണ്ടുള്ള തലപ്പാവും അരയില് ശണംകൊണ്ടുള്ള കാലക്കുപ്പായവും ഉണ്ടായിരിക്കേണം; വിയര്പ്പുണ്ടാകുന്ന യാതൊന്നും അവര് ധരിക്കരുതു.

18. They will wear linen turbans on their heads, and they will wear linen underwear. They will not wear anything that makes them sweat.

19. അവര് പുറത്തെ പ്രാകാരത്തിലേക്കു, പുറത്തെ പ്രാകാരത്തില് ജനത്തിന്റെ അടുക്കലേക്കു തന്നേ, ചെല്ലുമ്പോള് തങ്ങളുടെ വസ്ത്രത്താല് ജനത്തെ വിശുദ്ധീകരിക്കാതിരിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു തങ്ങള് ശുശ്രൂഷചെയ്ത സമയം ധരിച്ചിരുന്ന വസ്ത്രം നീക്കി വിശുദ്ധമണ്ഡപങ്ങളില് വെച്ചിട്ടു വേറെ വസ്ത്രം ധരിക്കേണം.

19. Before they go out into the outer courtyard to the people, they will take off the clothes they wear while serving me. They will put these clothes away in the holy rooms. Then they will put on other clothes. In this way they will not let people touch those holy clothes.

20. അവര് തല ക്ഷൌരം ചെയ്കയോ തലമുടി നീട്ടുകയോ ചെയ്യാതെ കത്രിക്ക മാത്രമേ ചെയ്യാവു.

20. 'These priests will not shave their heads or let their hair grow long. The priests may only trim the hair of their heads.

21. യാതൊരു പുരോഹിതനും വീഞ്ഞു കുടിച്ചു അകത്തെ പ്രാകാരത്തില് കടക്കരുതു.

21. None of the priests may drink wine when they go into the inner courtyard.

22. വിധവയെയോ ഉപേക്ഷിക്കപ്പെട്ടവളെയോ ഭാര്യയായി എടുക്കാതെ അവര് യിസ്രായേല്ഗൃഹത്തിലെ സന്തതിയിലുള്ള കന്യകമാരെയോ ഒരു പുരോഹിതന്റെ ഭാര്യയായിരുന്ന വിധവയെയോ വിവാഹം കഴിക്കേണം.

22. The priests must not marry a widow or a divorced woman. No, they must only marry a virgin from the family of Israel or a woman whose dead husband was a priest.

23. അവര് വിശുദ്ധമായതിന്നും സാമാന്യമായതിന്നും തമ്മിലുള്ള വ്യത്യാസം എന്റെ ജനത്തിന്നു ഉപദേശിച്ചു, മലിനമായതും നിര്മ്മലമായതും അവരെ തിരിച്ചറിയുമാറാക്കേണം.

23. Also, the priests must teach my people the difference between things that are holy and things that are not holy. They must help my people know what is clean and what is unclean.

24. വ്യവഹാരത്തില് അവര് ന്യായം വിധിപ്പാന് നില്ക്കേണം; എന്റെ വിധികളെ അനുസരിച്ചു അവര് ന്യായം വിധിക്കേണം; അവര് ഉത്സവങ്ങളിലൊക്കെയും എന്റെ പ്രമാണങ്ങളും ചട്ടങ്ങളും ആചരിക്കയും എന്റെ ശബ്ബത്തുകളെ വിശുദ്ധീകരിക്കയും വേണം.

24. The priests will be the judges in court. They will follow my laws when they judge people. They will obey my laws and my rules at all my special feasts. They will respect my special days of rest and keep them holy.

25. അവര് മരിച്ച ആളുടെ അടുക്കല് ചെന്നു അശുദ്ധരാകരുതു; എങ്കിലും അപ്പന് , അമ്മ, മകന് , മകള്, സഹോദരന് , ഭര്ത്താവില്ലാത്ത സഹോദരി എന്നിവര്ക്കുംവേണ്ടി അശുദ്ധരാകാം.

25. They will not go near a dead person to make themselves unclean. But they may make themselves unclean if the dead person is their father, mother, son, daughter, brother, or a sister who is not married.

26. അവന്റെ ശുദ്ധീകരണം കഴിഞ്ഞശേഷം ഏഴു ദിവസം എണ്ണേണം.

26. After the priest has been made clean, he must wait seven days.

27. വിശുദ്ധമന്ദിരത്തില് ശുശ്രൂഷചെയ്യേണ്ടതിന്നു അവന് അകത്തെ പ്രാകാരത്തില് വിശുദ്ധമന്ദിരത്തിലേക്കു പോകുന്ന ദിവസത്തില് അവന് പാപയാഗം അര്പ്പിക്കേണം എന്നു യഹോവയായ കര്ത്താവിന്റെ അരുളപ്പാടു.

27. Then he can go back into the holy place. But on the day he goes into the inner courtyard to serve in the holy place, he must offer a sin offering for himself.' This is what the Lord God said.

28. അവരുടെ അവകാശമോ, ഞാന് തന്നേ അവരുടെ അവകാശം; നിങ്ങള് അവര്ക്കും യിസ്രായേലില് സ്വത്തു ഒന്നും കൊടുക്കരുതു; ഞാന് തന്നേ അവരുടെ സ്വത്താകുന്നു.

28. About the land that will belong to the Levites: I am their property. You will not give the Levites any land in Israel. I am their share in Israel.

29. അവര് ഭോജനയാഗം, പാപയാഗം, അകൃത്യയാഗം എന്നിവകൊണ്ടു ഉപജീവനം കഴിക്കേണം; യിസ്രായേലില് നിവേദിതമായതൊക്കെയും അവര്ക്കുംള്ളതായിരിക്കേണം.

29. They will get to eat the grain offerings, the sin offerings, and the guilt offerings. Everything the people in Israel give to the Lord will be theirs.

30. സകലവിധ ആദ്യഫലങ്ങളിലും ഉത്തമമായതും വഴിപാടായി വരുന്ന എല്ലാവക വഴിപാടും പുരോഹിതന്മാര്ക്കുംള്ളതായിരിക്കേണം; നിന്റെ വീട്ടിന്മേല് അനുഗ്രഹം വരുത്തേണ്ടതിന്നു നിങ്ങളുടെ തരിമാവിന്റെ ആദ്യഭാഗവും പുരോഹിതന്നു കൊടുക്കേണം.

30. And the first part of the harvest from every kind of crop will be for the priests. You will also give the priests the first part of your flour. This will bring blessings to your house.

31. താനേ ചത്തതും പഠിച്ചുകീറിപ്പോയതുമായ പക്ഷിയെയോ മൃഗത്തെയോ ഒന്നിനെയും പുരോഹിതന് തിന്നരുതു.

31. The priests must not eat any bird or animal that has died a natural death or has been torn to pieces by a wild animal.
