1. പുരോഹിതന്മാരേ, കേള്പ്പിന് ; യിസ്രായേല്ഗൃഹമേ, ചെവിക്കൊള്വിന് ; രാജഗൃഹമേ, ചെവിതരുവിന് ; നിങ്ങള് മിസ്പെക്കു ഒരു കണിയും താബോരിന്മേല് വിരിച്ച വലയും ആയിത്തീര്ന്നിരിക്കകൊണ്ടു ന്യായവിധി നിങ്ങള്ക്കു വരുന്നു.

1. Hear this, ye priests; and hearken, ye house of Israel; and give ear, O house of the king: for this judgment is for you; for ye have been a snare at Mizpah, and a net spread upon Tabor.

2. മത്സരികള് വഷളത്വത്തില് ആണ്ടുപോയിരിക്കുന്നു; ഞാനോ അവര്ക്കും ഏവര്ക്കും ഒരു ശാസകന് ആകുന്നു.

2. And they have plunged themselves in the corruption of apostasy, but I will be a chastiser of them all.

3. ഞാന് എഫ്രായീമിനെ അറിയുന്നു; യിസ്രായേല് എനിക്കു മറഞ്ഞിരിക്കുന്നതുമില്ല; എഫ്രയീമേ, നീ ഇപ്പോള് പരസംഗം ചെയ്തിരിക്കുന്നു; യിസ്രായേല് മലിനമായിരിക്കുന്നു.

3. I know Ephraim, and Israel is not hid from me; for now, Ephraim, thou hast committed whoredom; Israel is defiled.

4. അവര് തങ്ങളുടെ ദൈവത്തിന്റെ അടുക്കലേക്കു മടങ്ങിവരേണ്ടതിന്നു അവരുടെ പ്രവൃത്തികള് സമ്മതിക്കുന്നില്ല; പരസംഗമോഹം അവരുടെ ഉള്ളില് ഉണ്ടു; അവര് യഹോവയെ അറിയുന്നതുമില്ല.

4. Their doings do not allow them to return unto their God; for the spirit of whoredoms is in the midst of them, and they know not Jehovah.

5. യിസ്രായേലിന്റെ അഹംഭാവം അവന്റെ മുഖത്തു സാക്ഷീകരിക്കുന്നു; അതുകൊണ്ടു യിസ്രായേലും എഫ്രയീമും തങ്ങളുടെ അകൃത്യത്താല് ഇടറിവീഴും; യെഹൂദയും അവരോടുകൂടെ ഇടറിവീഴും.

5. And Israel's pride doth testify to his face; and Israel and Ephraim shall fall by their iniquity: Judah also shall fall with them.

6. യഹോവയെ അന്വേഷിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു അവര് ആടുകളെയും കന്നുകാലികളെയും കൊണ്ടുചെല്ലും; എങ്കിലും അവര് അവനെ കണ്ടെത്തുകയില്ല; അവന് അവരെ വിട്ടുമാറിയിരിക്കുന്നു.

6. They shall go with their flocks and with their herds to seek Jehovah; but they shall not find [him]: he hath withdrawn himself from them.

7. അവര് അന്യപുത്രന്മാരെ ജനിപ്പിച്ചിരിക്കകൊണ്ടു അവര് യഹോവയോടു വിശ്വാസപാതകം ചെയ്തിരിക്കുന്നു. ഇപ്പോള് ഒരു അമാവാസ്യ അവരെ അവരുടെ ഔഹരികളോടുകൂടെ തിന്നുകളയും.

7. They have dealt treacherously against Jehovah; for they have begotten strange children: now shall the new moon devour them, with their allotted possessions.

8. ഗിബെയയില് കാഹളവും രാമയില് തൂര്യ്യവും ഊതുവിന് ; ബേത്ത്--ആവെനില് പോര്വിളി കൂട്ടുവിന് ; ബെന്യാമീനേ, നിന്റെ പിറകെ വരുന്നു.

8. Blow the horn in Gibeah, the trumpet in Ramah; cry aloud [at] Beth-aven: behind thee, O Benjamin!

9. ശിക്ഷാദിവസത്തില് എഫ്രയീം ശൂന്യമാകും; നിശ്ചയമുള്ളതു ഞാന് യിസ്രായേല് ഗോത്രങ്ങളുടെ ഇടയില് അറിയിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു.

9. Ephraim shall be a desolation in the day of rebuke: among the tribes of Israel have I made known that which is sure.

10. യെഹൂദാപ്രഭുക്കന്മാര് അതിര് മാറ്റുന്നവരെപ്പോലെ ആയിത്തീര്ന്നു; അതുകൊണ്ടു ഞാന് എന്റെ ക്രോധം വെള്ളംപോലെ അവരുടെ മേല് പകരും.

10. The princes of Judah are become like them that remove the landmark: I will pour out my wrath upon them like water.

11. എഫ്രയീമിന്നു മാനുഷകല്പന അനുസരിച്ചു നടപ്പാന് ഇഷ്ടം തോന്നിയതുകൊണ്ടു അവന് പീഡിതനും വ്യവഹാരത്തില് തോറ്റവനും ആയിരിക്കുന്നു.

11. Ephraim is oppressed, crushed in judgment, because in selfwill he walked after the commandment [of man].

12. അതുകൊണ്ടു ഞാന് എഫ്രയീമിന്നു പുഴുവും യെഹൂദാഗൃഹത്തിന്നു ദ്രവത്വവുമായിരിക്കും.

12. And I will be unto Ephraim as a moth, and to the house of Judah as rottenness.

13. എഫ്രയീം തന്റെ വ്യാധിയും യെഹൂദാ തന്റെ മുറിവും കണ്ടപ്പോള് എഫ്രയീം അശ്ശൂരില്ചെന്നു യുദ്ധതല്പരനായ രാജാവിന്റെ അടുക്കല് ആളയച്ചു; എങ്കിലും നിങ്ങളെ സൌഖ്യമാക്കുവാനും നിങ്ങളുടെ മുറിവു പൊറുപ്പിപ്പാനും അവന്നു കഴിഞ്ഞില്ല.

13. When Ephraim saw his sickness, and Judah his sore, then went Ephraim to the Assyrian, and sent to king Jareb; but he was unable to heal you, nor hath he removed your sore.

14. ഞാന് എഫ്രയീമിന്നു ഒരു സിംഹംപോലെയും യെഹൂദാഗൃഹത്തിന്നു ഒരു ബാലസിംഹംപോലെയും ഇരിക്കും; ഞാന് തന്നേ കടിച്ചുകീറി പൊയ്ക്കളയും; ഞാന് പിടിച്ചു കൊണ്ടുപോകും; ആരും വിടുവിക്കയുമില്ല.

14. For I will be unto Ephraim as a lion, and as a young lion to the house of Judah. I, I will tear and go away; I will carry off, and there shall be none to deliver.

15. അവര് കുറ്റം ഏറ്റുപറഞ്ഞു എന്റെ മുഖം അന്വേഷിക്കുവോളം ഞാന് മടങ്ങിപ്പോയി എന്റെ സ്ഥലത്തു ഇരിക്കും; കഷ്ടതയില് അവര് എന്നെ ജാഗ്രതയോടെ അന്വേഷിക്കും.

15. I will go away, I will return to my place, till they acknowledge their trespass, and seek my face: in their affliction they will seek me early.
