1. യഹോവ സീനായിപര്വ്വതത്തില്വെച്ചു മോശെയോടു അരുളിച്ചെയ്തതതുശബ്ബത്തു ആചരിക്കേണം.

1. And the LORD spoke to Moses in mount Sinai, saying,

2. ആറു സംവത്സരം നിന്റെ നിലം വിതെക്കേണം; അവ്വണ്ണം ആറു സംവത്സരം നിന്റെ മുന്തിരിത്തോട്ടം വള്ളിത്തല മുറിച്ചു അനുഭവം എടുക്കേണം.

2. Speak to the children of Israel, and say to them, When ye come into the land which I give you, then shall the land keep a sabbath to the LORD.

3. ഏഴാം സംവത്സരത്തിലോ ദേശത്തിന്നു സ്വസ്ഥതയുള്ള ശബ്ബത്തായ യഹോവയുടെ ശബ്ബത്ത് ആയിരിക്കേണം; നിന്റെ നിലം വിതെക്കയും മുന്തിരിത്തോട്ടം വള്ളിത്തല മുറിക്കയും ചെയ്യരുതു.

3. Six years thou shalt sow thy field, and six years thou shalt prune thy vineyard, and gather in its fruit;

4. ദേശത്തിന്റെ ശബ്ബത്തില് താനേ വിളയുന്നതു നിങ്ങളുടെ ആഹാരമായിരിക്കേണം; നിനക്കും നിന്റെ ദാസന്നും ദാസിക്കും കൂലിക്കാരന്നും നിന്നോടുകൂടെ പാര്ക്കുംന്ന പരദേശിക്കും

4. But in the seventh year shall be a sabbath of rest to the land, a sabbath for the LORD: thou shalt neither sow thy field, nor prune thy vineyard.

5. നിന്റെ കന്നുകാലിക്കും കാട്ടുമൃഗത്തിന്നും അതിന്റെ അനുഭവം ഒക്കെയും ആഹാരമായിരിക്കേണം.

5. That which groweth of its own accord of thy harvest thou shalt not reap, neither gather the grapes of thy untrimmed vine: [for] it is a year of rest to the land.

6. പിന്നെ ഏഴു ശബ്ബത്താണ്ടായ ഏഴേഴുസംവത്സരം എണ്ണേണം; അങ്ങനെ ഏഴു സബ്ബത്താണ്ടായ നാല്പത്തൊമ്പതു സംവത്സരം കഴിയേണം.

6. And the sabbath of the land shall be food for you; for thee, and for thy male servant, and for thy female servant, and for thy hired servant, and for thy stranger that sojourneth with thee,

7. അപ്പോള് ഏഴാം മാസം പത്താം തിയ്യതി മഹാധ്വനികാഹളം ധ്വനിപ്പിക്കേണം; പാപപരിഹാരദിവസത്തില് നിങ്ങള് നിങ്ങളുടെ ദേശത്തു എല്ലാടവും കാഹളം ധ്വനിപ്പിക്കേണം.

7. And for thy cattle, and for the beast that [are] in thy land, shall all the increase of it be food.

8. അമ്പതാം സംവത്സരത്തെ ശുദ്ധീകരിച്ചു ദേശത്തെല്ലാടവും സകലനിവാസികള്ക്കും സ്വാതന്ത്ര്യം പ്രസിദ്ധമാക്കേണം; അതു നിങ്ങള്ക്കു യോബേല്സംവത്സരമായിരിക്കേണംനിങ്ങള് താന്താന്റെ അവകാശത്തിലേക്കു മടങ്ങിപ്പോകേണം; ഔരോരുത്തന് താന്താന്റെ കുടുംബത്തിലേക്കും മടങ്ങിപ്പോകേണം.

8. And thou shalt number seven sabbaths of years to thee, seven times seven years; and the space of the seven sabbaths of years shall be to thee forty and nine years.

9. അമ്പതാം സംവത്സരം നിങ്ങള്ക്കു യോബേല് സംവത്സരമായിരിക്കേണം; അതില് നിങ്ങള് വിതെക്കയോ പടുവിളവു കൊയ്കയോ വള്ളിത്തല മുറിക്കാത്ത മുന്തിരിവള്ളിയുടെ പഴം പറിക്കയോ ചെയ്യരുതു.

9. Then shalt thou cause the trumpet of the jubilee to sound on the tenth [day] of the seventh month, in the day of atonement shall ye make the trumpet sound throughout all your land.

10. അതു യോബേല്സംവത്സരം ആകുന്നു; അതു നിങ്ങള്ക്കു വിശുദ്ധമായിരിക്കേണം; ആയാണ്ടത്തെ അനുഭവം നിങ്ങള് വയലില് നിന്നുതന്നേ എടുത്തു തിന്നേണം.

10. And ye shall hallow the fiftieth year, and proclaim liberty throughout [all] the land to all its inhabitants: it shall be a jubilee to you; and ye shall return every man to his possession, and ye shall return every man to his family.

11. ഇങ്ങനെയുള്ള യോബേല് സംവത്സരത്തില് നിങ്ങള് താന്താന്റെ അവകാശത്തിലേക്കു മടങ്ങിപ്പോകേണം.

11. A jubilee shall that fiftieth year be to you: ye shall not sow, neither reap that which groweth of itself in it, nor gather [the grapes] in it of thy untrimmed vine.

12. കൂട്ടുകാരന്നു എന്തെങ്കിലും വില്ക്കയോ കൂട്ടുകാരനോടു എന്തെങ്കിലും വാങ്ങുകയോ ചെയ്താല് നിങ്ങള് തമ്മില് തമ്മില് അന്യായം ചെയ്യരുതു.

12. For it [is] the jubilee; it shall be holy to you: ye shall eat the increase of it out of the field.

13. യോബേല്സംവത്സരത്തിന്റെ പിമ്പുള്ള സംവത്സരങ്ങളുടെ സംഖ്യകൂ ഒത്തവണ്ണം നിന്റെ കൂട്ടുകാരനോടു വാങ്ങേണം; അനുഭവമുള്ള സംവത്സരങ്ങളുടെ സംഖ്യെക്കു ഒത്തവണ്ണം അവന് നിനക്കു വില്ക്കേണം.

13. In the year of this jubilee ye shall return every man to his possession.

14. സംവത്സരങ്ങള് ഏറിയിരുന്നാല് വില ഉയര്ത്തേണം; സംവത്സരങ്ങള് കുറഞ്ഞിരുന്നാല് വില താഴ്ത്തേണം; അനുഭവത്തിന്റെ കാലസംഖ്യെക്കു ഒത്തവണ്ണം അവന് നിനക്കു വിലക്കുന്നു.

14. And if thou shalt sell any to thy neighbour, or buy [any thing] from thy neighbour's hand, ye shall not oppress one another:

15. ആകയാല് നിങ്ങള് തമ്മില് തമ്മില് അന്യായം ചെയ്യരുതു; നിന്റെ ദൈവത്തെ ഭയപ്പെടേണംഞാന് നിങ്ങളുടെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവ ആകുന്നു.

15. According to the number of years after the jubilee thou shalt buy of thy neighbour, [and] according to the number of years of the fruits he shall sell to thee:

16. അതു കൊണ്ടു നിങ്ങള് എന്റെ കല്പനകള് അനുസരിച്ചു എന്റെ വിധികള് പ്രമാണിച്ചു ആചരിക്കേണം; എന്നാല് നിങ്ങള് ദേശത്തു നിര്ഭയം വസിക്കും.

16. According to the multitude of years thou shalt increase the price of it, and according to the fewness of years thou shalt diminish the price of it: for [according] to the number [of the years] of the fruits doth he sell to thee.

17. ഭൂമി അതിന്റെ ഫലം തരും; നിങ്ങള് തൃപ്തിയായി ഭക്ഷിച്ചു അതില് നിര്ഭയം വസിക്കും.

17. Ye shall not therefore oppress one another; but thou shalt fear thy God: for I [am] the LORD your God.

18. എന്നാല് ഏഴാം സംവത്സരത്തില് ഞങ്ങള് എന്തു ഭക്ഷിക്കും? ഞങ്ങള് വിതെക്കയും ഞങ്ങളുടെ അനുഭവമെടുക്കയും ചെയ്യരുതല്ലോ എന്നു നിങ്ങള പറയുന്നുവെങ്കില്

18. Therefore ye shall do my statutes, and keep my judgments, and do them; and ye shall dwell in the land in safety.

19. ഞാന് ആറാം സംവത്സരത്തില് നിങ്ങള്ക്കു എന്റെ അനുഗ്രഹം അരുളുകയും അതു മൂന്നു സംവത്സരത്തേക്കുള്ള അനുഭവം തരികയും ചെയ്യും.

19. And the land shall yield her fruit, and ye shall eat your fill, and dwell in it in safety.

20. നിലം ജന്മം വില്ക്കരുതു; ദേശം എനിക്കുള്ളതു ആകുന്നു; നിങ്ങള് എന്റെ അടുക്കല് പരദേശികളും വന്നു പാര്ക്കുംന്നവരും അത്രേ.

20. And if ye shall say, What shall we eat the seventh year? behold, we shall not sow, nor gather in our increase:

21. നിങ്ങളുടെ അവകാശമായ ദേശത്തൊക്കെയും നിലത്തിന്നു വീണ്ടെടുപ്പു സമ്മതിക്കേണം.

21. Then I will command my blessing upon you in the sixth year, and it shall bring forth fruit for three years.

22. നിന്റെ സഹോദരന് ദിരദ്രനായ്തീര്ന്നു തന്റെ അവകാശത്തില് ഏതാനും വിറ്റാല് അവന്റെ അടുത്ത ചാര്ച്ചക്കാരന് വന്നു സഹോദരന് വിറ്റതു വീണ്ടുകൊള്ളേണം.

22. And ye shall sow the eighth year, and eat of old fruit until the ninth year; until its fruits come in ye shall eat [of] the old [store].

23. എന്നാല് വീണ്ടുകൊള്ളുവാന് അവന്നു ആരും ഇല്ലാതിരിക്കയും താന് തന്നേ വകയുള്ളവനായി വീണ്ടുകൊള്ളുവാന് പ്രാപ്തനാകയും ചെയ്താല്

23. The land shall not be sold for ever: for the land [is] mine; for ye [are] strangers and sojourners with me.

24. അവന് അതു വിറ്റശേഷമുള്ള സംവത്സരം കണക്കുകൂട്ടി മിച്ചമുള്ളതു അതു വാങ്ങിയിരുന്ന ആള്ക്കു മടക്കിക്കൊടുത്തു തന്റെ അവകാശത്തിലേക്കു മടങ്ങിവരേണം.

24. And in all the land of your possession ye shall grant a redemption for the land.

25. എന്നാല് മടക്കിക്കൊടുപ്പാന് അവന്നു പ്രാപ്തിയില്ല എങ്കില് വിറ്റുപോയ യോബേല് സംവത്സരംവരെ വാങ്ങിയവന്റെ കയ്യില് ഇരിക്കേണം; യോബേല്സംവത്സരത്തില് അതു ഒഴിഞ്ഞുകൊടുക്കയും അവന് തന്റെ അവകാശത്തിലേക്കു മടങ്ങിവരികയും വേണം.

25. If thy brother shall have become poor, and have sold [some] of his possession, and if any of his kin shall come to redeem it, then shall he redeem that which his brother sold.

26. ഒരുത്തന് മതിലുള്ള പട്ടണത്തില് ഒരു വീടു വിറ്റാല് വിറ്റശേഷം ഒരു സംവത്സരത്തിന്നകം അവന്നു അതു വീണ്ടുകൊള്ളാം; വീണ്ടുകൊള്ളുവാന് ഒരു സംവത്സരത്തെ അവധി ഉണ്ടു.

26. And if the man shall have none to redeem it, and himself be able to redeem it;

27. ഒരു സംവത്സരം മുഴുവനും തികയുവോളം വീണ്ടുകൊണ്ടില്ലെങ്കില് മതിലുള്ള പട്ടണത്തിലെ വീടു, വാങ്ങിയവന്നു തലമുറതലമുറയായി എന്നും സ്ഥിരമായിരിക്കേണം; യോബേല്സംവത്സരത്തില് അതു ഒ ഴുഞ്ഞുകൊടുക്കേണ്ടാ.

27. Then let him count the years of the sale of it, and restore the balance to the man to whom he sold it; that he may return to his possession.

28. മതിലില്ലാത്ത ഗ്രാമങ്ങളിലെ വീടുകളോ ദേശത്തുള്ള നിലത്തിന്നു സമമായി വിചാരിക്കേണം; അവേക്കു വീണ്ടെടുപ്പു ഉണ്ടു; യോബേല്സംവത്സരത്തില് അവയെ ഒഴിഞ്ഞുകൊടുക്കേണം.

28. But if he shall not be able to restore [it] to him, then that which is sold shall remain in the hand of him that hath bought it until the year of jubilee: and in the jubilee it shall go out, and he shall return to his possession.

29. എന്നാല് ലേവ്യരുടെ പട്ടണങ്ങളും അവരുടെ അവകാശമായ പട്ടണങ്ങളിലെ വീടുകളും ലേവ്യര്ക്കും എപ്പോഴെങ്കിലും വീണ്ടുകൊള്ളാം.

29. And if a man shall sell a dwelling house in a walled city, then he may redeem it within a whole year after it is sold; [within] a full year may he redeem it.

30. ലേവ്യരില് ഒരുത്തന് വീണ്ടുകൊള്ളുന്നു എങ്കില് വിറ്റുപോയ വീടും അവന്റെ അവകാശമായ പട്ടണവും യോബേല്സംവത്സരത്തില് ഒഴിഞ്ഞുകൊടുക്കേണം; ലേവ്യരുടെ പട്ടണങ്ങളിലെ വീടുകള് യിസ്രായേല് മക്കളുടെ ഇടയില് അവര്ക്കുംള്ള അവകാശമല്ലോ.

30. And if it shall not be redeemed within the space of a full year, then the house that [is] in the walled city shall be established for ever to him that bought it throughout his generations: it shall not go out in the jubilee.

31. എന്നാല് അവരുടെ പട്ടണങ്ങളോടു ചേര്ന്നിരിക്കുന്ന പുല്പുറമായ ഭൂമി വില്ക്കരുതു; അതു അവര്ക്കും ശാശ്വതാവകാശം ആകുന്നു.

31. But the houses of the villages which have no walls around them shall be counted as the fields of the country: they may be redeemed, and they shall go out in the jubilee.

32. നിന്റെ സഹോദരന് ദരിദ്രനായ്തീര്ന്നു നിന്റെ അടുക്കല് വെച്ചു ക്ഷയിച്ചുപോയാല് നീ അവനെ താങ്ങേണം; അന്യനും പരദേശിയും എന്നപോലെ അവന് നിന്റെ അടുക്കല് പാര്ക്കേണം.

32. However the cities of the Levites, [and] the houses of the cities of their possession, may the Levites redeem at any time.

33. അവനോടു പലിശയും ലാഭവും വാങ്ങരുതു; നിന്റെ ദൈവത്തെ ഭയപ്പെടേണം; നിന്റെ സഹോദരന് നിന്റെ അടുക്കല് പാര്ക്കേണം.

33. And if a man shall purchase of the Levites, then the house that was sold, and the city of his possession, shall go out in [the year of] jubilee: for the houses of the cities of the Levites [are] their possession among the children of Israel.

34. നിന്റെ പണം പലിശെക്കു കൊടുക്കരുതു; നിന്റെ ആഹാരം അവന്നു ലാഭത്തിന്നായി കൊടുക്കയും അരുതു.

34. But the field of the common land of their cities may not be sold; for it [is] their perpetual possession.

35. ഞാന് നിങ്ങള്ക്കു കനാന് ദേശം തരുവാനും നിങ്ങളുടെ ദൈവമായിരിപ്പാനും നിങ്ങളെ മിസ്രയീംദേശത്തുനിന്നു കൊണ്ടുവന്ന നിങ്ങളുടെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവ ആകുന്നു.

35. And if thy brother shall have become poor, and falleth into poverty among you; then thou shalt relieve him: [yea, though he may be] a stranger, or a sojourner; that he may live with thee.

36. നിന്റെ സഹോദരന് ദരിദ്രനായ്തീര്ന്നു തന്നെത്താന് നിനക്കു വിറ്റാല് അവനെ കൊണ്ടു അടിമവേല ചെയ്യിക്കരുതു.

36. Take thou no interest of him, or increase: but fear thy God; that thy brother may live with thee.

37. കൂലിക്കാരന് എന്നപോലെയും വന്നുപാര്ക്കുംന്നവന് എന്നപോലെയും അവന് നിന്റെ അടുക്കല് ഇരുന്നു യോബേല്സംവത്സരംവരെ നിന്നെ സേവിക്കേണം.

37. Thou shalt not give him thy money upon interest, nor lend him thy food for increase.

38. പിന്നെ അവന് തന്റെ മക്കളുമായി നിന്നെ വിട്ടുതന്റെ കുടുംബത്തിലേക്കു മടങ്ങിപ്പോകേണം; തന്റെ പിതാക്കന്മാരുടെ അവകാശത്തിലേക്കു അവന് മടങ്ങിപ്പോകേണം.

38. I [am] the LORD your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt, to give you the land of Canaan, [and] to be your God.

39. അവര് മിസ്രയീംദേശത്തുനിന്നു ഞാന് കൊണ്ടുവന്ന എന്റെ ദാസന്മാര് ആകകൊണ്ടു അവരെ അടിമകളായി വില്ക്കരുതു.

39. And if thy brother [that dwelleth] by thee shall have become poor, and be sold to thee; thou shalt not compel him to serve as a slave:

40. അവനോടു കാഠിന്യം പ്രവര്ത്തിക്കരുതു; നിന്റെ ദൈവത്തെ ഭയപ്പെടേണം.

40. [But] as an hired servant, [and] as a sojourner, he shall be with thee, [and] shall serve thee to the year of jubilee:

41. നിന്റെ അടിയാരും അടിയാട്ടികളും നിങ്ങള്ക്കു ചുറ്റുമുള്ള ജാതികളില്നിന്നു ആയിരിക്കേണം; അവരില്നിന്നു അടിയാരെയും അടയാട്ടികളെയും കൊള്ളേണം.

41. And [then] shall he depart from thee, [both] he and his children with him, and shall return to his own family, and to the possession of his fathers shall he return.

42. അവ്വണ്ണം നിങ്ങളുടെ ഇടയില് വന്നു പാര്ക്കുംന്ന അന്യജാതിക്കാരുടെ മക്കളില്നിന്നും അവര് നിങ്ങളുടെ ദേശത്തു ജനിപ്പിച്ചവരും നിങ്ങളോടു കൂടെ ഇരിക്കുന്നവനുമായ അവരുടെ കുടുംബങ്ങളില്നിന്നും നിങ്ങള് വാങ്ങേണം; അവര് നിങ്ങള്ക്കു അവകാശമായിരിക്കേണം;

42. For they [are] my servants, which I brought out of the land of Egypt: they shall not be sold as slaves.

43. നിങ്ങളുടെ ശേഷം നിങ്ങളുടെ മക്കള്ക്കും അവകാശമായിരിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു നിലങ്ങള് അവരെ അവകാശമാക്കിക്കൊള്ളേണം; അവര് എന്നും നിങ്ങള്ക്കു അടിമകളായിരിക്കേണം; യിസ്രായേല്മക്കളായ നിങ്ങളുടെ സഹോദരന്മാരോടോ നിങ്ങള് കാഠിന്യം പ്രവര്ത്തിക്കരുതു.
കൊലൊസ്സ്യർ കൊളോസോസ് 4:1

43. Thou shalt not rule over him with rigour; but shalt fear thy God.

44. നിന്നോടുകൂടെയുള്ള പരദേശിയോ അന്യനോ സമ്പന്നനാകയും അവന്റെ അടുക്കലുള്ള നിന്റെ സഹോദരന് ദരിദ്രനായ്തീര്ന്നു തന്നെത്താന് അന്യന്നോ പരദേശിക്കോ അന്യന്റെ സന്തതിക്കോ വില്ക്കയും ചെയ്താല്

44. Both thy male and female slaves, which thou shalt have, [shall be] from the heathen that are around you; from them shall ye buy male and female slaves.

45. അവന് തന്നെത്താന് വിറ്റശേഷം അവനെ വീണ്ടെടുക്കാം; അവന്റെ സഹോദരന്മാരില് ഒരുത്തന്നു അവനെ വീണ്ടെടുക്കാം.

45. Moreover of the children of the strangers that sojourn among you, of them shall ye buy, and of their families that [are] with you, whom they begat in your land: and they shall be your possession.

46. അവന്റെ പിതൃവ്യന്നോ പിതൃവ്യന്റെ പുത്രന്നോ അവനെ വീണ്ടെടുക്കാം; അല്ലെങ്കില് അവന്റെ കുടുംബത്തില് അവന്റെ അടുത്ത ചാര്ച്ചക്കാരില് ഒരുത്തന്നു അവനെ വീണ്ടെടുക്കാം; അവന്നു പ്രാപ്തിയുണ്ടെങ്കില് തന്നെത്താന് വീണ്ടെടുക്കാം.

46. And ye shall take them as an inheritance for your children after you, to inherit [them for] a possession; they shall be your slaves for ever: but over your brethren the children of Israel, ye shall not rule one over another with rigour.

47. അവന് തന്നെ വിറ്റ സംവത്സരം മുതല് യോബേല്സംവത്സരംവരെയുള്ള കാലക്കണകൂ തന്നെ വാങ്ങിയവനുമായി കൂട്ടിനോക്കേണം; അവന്റെ വില സംവത്സരസംഖ്യെക്കു ഒത്തവണ്ണം ആയിരിക്കേണം; അവന് ഒരു കൂലിക്കാരന്റെ കാലത്തിന്നു ഒത്തവണ്ണം അവന്റെ അടുക്കല് പാര്ക്കേണം.

47. And if a sojourner or a stranger shall become rich by thee, and thy brother [that dwelleth] by him shall become poor, and sell himself to the stranger [or] sojourner by thee, or to the stock of the stranger's family:

48. സംവത്സരം ഏറെയുണ്ടെങ്കില് അതിന്നു തക്കവണ്ണം അവന് തന്റെ വീണ്ടെടുപ്പുവില തനിക്കു കിട്ടിയ പണത്തില്നിന്നു മടക്കിക്കൊടുക്കേണം.

48. After that he is sold he may be redeemed again; one of his brethren may redeem him:

49. യോബേല്സംവത്സരംവരെ ശേഷിക്കുന്ന സംവത്സരം കുറെ മാത്രം എങ്കില് അവനുമായി കണക്കുകൂട്ടി സംവത്സരങ്ങള്ക്കു ഒത്തവണ്ണം തന്റെ വീണ്ടെടുപ്പുവില മടക്കിക്കൊടുക്കേണം.

49. Either his uncle, or his uncle's son, may redeem him, or [any] that is near of kin to him of his family may redeem him; or if he is able, he may redeem himself.

50. അവന് ആണ്ടോടാണ്ടു കൂലിക്കാരന് എന്നപോലെ അവന്റെ അടുക്കല് ഇരിക്കേണം; നീ കാണ്കെ അവന് അവനോടു കാഠിന്യം പ്രവര്ത്തിക്കരുതു.

50. And he shall reckon with him that bought him from the year that he was sold to him to the year of jubilee: and the price of his sale shall be according to the number of years, according to the time of an hired servant shall it be with him.

51. ഇങ്ങനെ അവന് വീണ്ടെടുക്കപ്പെടാതെയിരുന്നാല് അവനും അവനോടു കൂടെ അവന്റെ മക്കളും യോബേല് സംവത്സരത്തില് പുറപ്പെട്ടുപോകേണം.

51. If [there shall be] yet many years [behind], according to them he shall give again the price of his redemption out of the money that he was bought for.

52. യിസ്രായേല്മക്കള് എനിക്കു ദാസന്മാര് ആകുന്നു; അവര് മിസ്രയീംദേശത്തുനിന്നു ഞാന് കൊണ്ടുവന്ന എന്റെ ദാസന്മാര്; ഞാന് നിങ്ങളുടെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവ ആകുന്നു.

52. And if there shall remain but few years to the year of jubilee, then he shall count with him, [and] according to his years shall he give him again the price of his redemption.
