1. എന്നാല് ഞാന് പറഞ്ഞതുയാക്കോബിന്റെ തലവന്മാരും യിസ്രായേല്ഗൃഹത്തിന്റെ അധിപന്മാരുമായുള്ളോരേ, കേള്പ്പിന് ! ന്യായം അറിയുന്നതു നിങ്ങള്ക്കു വിഹിതമല്ലയോ?

1. And I said, Hear, I pray you+, you+ heads of Jacob, and rulers of the house of Israel: is it not for you+ to know justice?

2. നിങ്ങള് നന്മയെ ദ്വേഷിച്ചു തിന്മയെ ഇച്ഛിക്കുന്നു; നിങ്ങള് ത്വകൂ അവരുടെ മേല്നിന്നും മാംസം അവരുടെ അസ്ഥികളില്നിന്നും പറിച്ചുകളയുന്നു.

2. You+ who hate the good, and love the evil; who pluck off their skin from off them, and their flesh from off their bones;

3. നിങ്ങള് എന്റെ ജനത്തിന്റെ മാംസം തിന്നു അവരുടെ ത്വകൂ അവരുടെ മേല് നിന്നു ഉരിച്ചുകളയുന്നു; നിങ്ങള് അവരുടെ അസ്ഥികളെ ഒടിച്ചു കലത്തില് ഇടുവാന് എന്നപോലെയും കുട്ടകത്തിന്നകത്തെ മാംസംപോലെയും മുറിച്ചുകളയുന്നു.

3. who also eat the flesh of my people, and flay their skin from off them, and break their bones, and chop them in pieces, as for the pot, and as flesh inside the cauldron.

4. അന്നു അവര് യഹോവയോടു നിലവിളിക്കും; എന്നാല് അവന് അവര്ക്കും ഉത്തരം അരുളുകയില്ല; അവര് ദുഷ്പ്രവൃത്തികളെ ചെയ്തതിന്നൊത്തവണ്ണം അവന് ആ കാലത്തു തന്റെ മുഖം അവര്ക്കും മറെക്കും.

4. Then they will cry to Yahweh, but he will not answer them; yes, he will hide his face from them at that time, according to as they have wrought evil in their doings.

5. എന്റെ ജനത്തെ തെറ്റിച്ചുകളകയും പല്ലിന്നു കടിപ്പാന് വല്ലതും ഉണ്ടെങ്കില് സമാധാനം പ്രസംഗിക്കയും അവരുടെ വായില് ഒന്നും ഇട്ടുകൊടുക്കാത്തവന്റെ നേരെ വിശുദ്ധയുദ്ധം ഘോഷിക്കയും ചെയ്യുന്ന പ്രവാചകന്മാരെക്കുറിച്ചു യഹോവ ഇപ്രകാരം അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നു

5. Thus says Yahweh concerning the prophets who make my people to err; that bite with their teeth, and cry, Peace; and whoever does not put into their mouths, they even prepare war against him:

6. അതുകൊണ്ടു നിങ്ങള്ക്കു ദര്ശനമില്ലാത്ത രാത്രിയും ലക്ഷണം പറവാന് കഴിയാത്ത ഇരുട്ടും ഉണ്ടാകും. പ്രവാചകന്മാര്ക്കും സൂര്യന് അസ്തമിക്കയും പകല് ഇരുണ്ടുപോകയും ചെയ്യും.

6. Therefore it will be night to you+, that you+ will have no vision; and it will be dark to you+, that you+ will not have fortune-telling; and the sun will go down on the prophets, and the day will be black over them.

7. അപ്പോള് ദര്ശകന്മാര് ലജ്ജിക്കും; ലക്ഷണം പറയുന്നവര് നാണിക്കും; ദൈവത്തിന്റെ ഉത്തരം ഇല്ലായ്കകൊണ്ടു അവര് ഒക്കെയും വായ് പൊത്തും.

7. And the seers will be put to shame, and the fortune-tellers confounded; yes, they will all cover their lips; for there is no answer of God.

8. എങ്കിലും ഞാന് യാക്കോബിനോടു അവന്റെ അതിക്രമവും യിസ്രായേലിനോടു അവന്റെ പാപവും പ്രസ്താവിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു യഹോവയുടെ ആത്മാവിനാല് ശക്തിയും ന്യായവും വീര്യവുംകൊണ്ടു നിറഞ്ഞിരിക്കുന്നു.

8. But as for me, I am full of power by the Spirit of Yahweh, and of judgment, and of might, to declare to Jacob his transgression, and to Israel his sin.

9. ന്യായം വെറുക്കയും ചൊവ്വുള്ളതു ഒക്കെയും വളെച്ചുകളകയും ചെയ്യുന്ന യാക്കോബ്ഗൃഹത്തിന്റെ തലവന്മാരും യിസ്രായേല്ഗൃഹത്തിന്റെ അധിപന്മാരുമായുള്ളോരേ, ഇതു കേള്പ്പിന് .

9. Hear this, I pray you+, you+ heads of the house of Jacob, and rulers of the house of Israel, who are disgusted by justice, and pervert all equity.

10. അവര് സീയോനെ രക്തപാതകംകൊണ്ടും യെരൂശലേമിനെ ദ്രോഹംകൊണ്ടും പണിയുന്നു.

10. They build up Zion with blood, and Jerusalem with iniquity.

11. അതിലെ തലവന്മാര് സമ്മാനം വാങ്ങി ന്യായം വിധിക്കുന്നു; അതിലെ പുരോഹിതന്മാര് കൂലി വാങ്ങി ഉപദേശിക്കുന്നു; അതിലെ പ്രവാചകന്മാര് പണം വാങ്ങി ലക്ഷണം പറയുന്നു; എന്നിട്ടും അവര് യഹോവയെ ചാരിയഹോവ നമ്മുടെ ഇടയില് ഇല്ലയോ? അനര്ത്ഥം നമുക്കു വരികയില്ല എന്നു പറയുന്നു.

11. The heads of it judge for reward, and its priests teach for wages, and its prophets tell the future for money: yet they lean on Yahweh, and say, Is not Yahweh in the midst of us? No evil will come upon us.

12. അതുകൊണ്ടു നിങ്ങളുടെ നിമിത്തം സീയോനെ വയല്പോലെയും ഉഴും; യെരൂശലേം കലക്കുന്നുകളും ആലയത്തിന്റെ പര്വ്വതം കാട്ടിലെ മേടുകള് പോലെയും ആയ്തീരും.

12. Therefore will Zion for your+ sake be plowed as a field, and Jerusalem will become heaps, and the mountain of the house as the high places of a forest.
