1. അനന്തരം ബിലെയാം ബാലാക്കിനോടുഇവിടെ എനിക്കു ഏഴു യാഗപീഠം പണിതു ഏഴു കാളയെയും ഏഴു ആട്ടുകൊറ്റനെയും ഒരുക്കിനിര്ത്തുക എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

1. And Balaam sayd vnto Balak, Builde me here seuen altars, and prepare me here seuen bullockes, and seuen rammes.

2. ബിലെയാം പറഞ്ഞതുപോലെ ബാലാക് ചെയ്തു; ബാലാക്കും ബിലെയാമും ഔരോ പീഠത്തിന്മേലും ഒരു കാളയെയും ഒരു ആട്ടുകൊറ്റനെയും യാഗം കഴിച്ചു;

2. And Balak did as Balaam sayd, and Balak and Balaam offred on euery altar a bullocke and a ramme.

3. പിന്നെ ബിലെയാം ബാലാക്കിനോടുനിന്റെ ഹോമയാഗത്തിന്റെ അടുക്കല് നില്ക്ക; ഞാന് അങ്ങോട്ടു ചെല്ലട്ടെ; പക്ഷേ യഹോവ എനിക്കു പ്രത്യക്ഷനാകും; അവന് എന്നെ ദര്ശിപ്പിക്കുന്നതു ഞാന് നിന്നോടു അറിയിക്കും എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു കുന്നിന്മേല് കയറി.

3. Then Balaam sayde vnto Balak, Stande by the burnt offring, and I will goe, if so be that the Lord will come and meete me: and whatsoeuer he sheweth me, I will tell thee: so he went forth alone.

4. ദൈവം ബിലെയാമിന്നു പ്രത്യക്ഷനായി; ബിലെയാം അവനോടുഞാന് ഏഴു പിഠം ഒരുക്കി ഔരോ പീഠത്തിന്മേല് ഒരു കാളയെയും ഒരു ആട്ടുകൊറ്റനെയും യാഗം കഴിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

4. And God met Balaam, and Balaam sayd vnto him, I haue prepared seuen altars, and haue offred vpon euery altar a bullocke and a ramme.

5. എന്നാറെ യഹോവ ഒരു വചനം ബിലെയാമിന്റെ നാവിന്മേല് ആക്കിക്കൊടുത്തുനീ ബാലാക്കിന്റെ അടുക്കല് മടങ്ങിച്ചെന്നു ഇപ്രകാരം പറയേണം എന്നു കല്പിച്ചു.

5. And the Lord put an answere in Balaams mouth, and sayde, Go againe to Balak, and say on this wise.

6. അവന് അവന്റെ അടുക്കല് മടങ്ങിച്ചെന്നു; അവനും മോവാബ്യപ്രഭുക്കന്മാര് എല്ലാവരും ഹോമയാഗത്തിന്റെ അടുക്കല് നിന്നിരുന്നു.

6. So when he returned vnto him, loe, hee stoode by his burnt offering, he, and all the princes of Moab.

7. അപ്പോള് അവന് സുഭാഷിതം ചൊല്ലിത്തുടങ്ങിയതുബാലാക് എന്നെ അരാമില്നിന്നും മോവാബ്രാജാവു പൂര്വ്വപര്വ്വതങ്ങളില്നിന്നും വരുത്തിചെന്നു യാക്കോബിനെ ശപിക്ക; ചെന്നു യിസ്രായേലിനെ പ്രാകുക എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

7. Then he vttered his parable, and sayde, Balak the king of Moab hath brought mee from Aram out of the mountaines of the East, saying, Come, curse Iaakob for my sake: come, and detest Israel.

8. ദൈവം ശപിക്കാത്തവനെ ഞാന് എങ്ങനെ ശപിക്കും? യഹോവ പ്രാകാത്തവനെ ഞാന് എങ്ങനെ പ്രാകും?

8. How shall I curse, where God hath not cursed? or howe shall I detest, where the Lord hath not detested?

9. ശിലാഗ്രങ്ങളില്നിന്നു ഞാന് അവനെ കാണുന്നു; ഗിരികളില്നിന്നു ഞാന് അവനെ ദര്ശിക്കുന്നു; ഇതാ തനിച്ചു പാര്ക്കുംന്നോരു ജനം; ജാതികളുടെ കൂട്ടത്തില് എണ്ണപ്പെടുന്നതുമില്ല.

9. For from the top of the rocks I did see him, and from the hils I did beholde him: lo, the people shall dwell by themselues, and shall not be reckened among the nations.

10. യാക്കോബിന്റെ ധൂളിയെ ആര്ക്കും എണ്ണാം? യിസ്രായേലിന്റെ കാലംശത്തെ ആര്ക്കും ഗണിക്കാം? ഭക്തന്മാര് മരിക്കുമ്പോലെ ഞാന് മരിക്കട്ടെ; എന്റെ അവസാനം അവന്റേതുപോലെ ആകട്ടെ.

10. Who can tell the dust of Iaakob, and the nomber of the fourth part of Israel? Let me die the death of the righteous, and let my last ende be like his.

11. ബാലാക് ബിലെയാമിനോടുനീ എന്നോടു ഈ ചെയ്തതു എന്തു? എന്റെ ശത്രുക്കളെ ശപിപ്പാനല്ലോ ഞാന് നിന്നെ വരുത്തിയതു? നീയോ അവരെ അനുഗ്രഹിക്കയത്രേ ചെയ്തിരിക്കുന്നു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

11. Then Balak saide vnto Balaam, What hast thou done vnto mee? I tooke thee to curse mine enemies, and beholde, thou hast blessed them altogether.

12. അതിന്നു അവന് യഹോവ എന്റെ നാവിന്മേല് തന്നതു പറവാന് ഞാന് ശ്രദ്ധിക്കേണ്ടായോ എന്നു ഉത്തരം പറഞ്ഞു.

12. And he answered, and said, Must I not take heede to speake that, which the Lord hath put in my mouth?

13. ബാലാക് അവനോടുനീ അവരെ മറ്റൊരു സ്ഥലത്തുനിന്നു കാണേണ്ടതിന്നു എന്നോടുകൂടെ വരിക; എന്നാല് അവരുടെ ഒരറ്റം മാത്രമല്ലാതെ എല്ലാവരെയും കാണുകയില്ല; അവിടെനിന്നു അവരെ ശപിക്കേണം എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

13. And Balak sayde vnto him, Come, I pray thee, with mee vnto another place, whence thou mayest see them, and thou shalt see but the vtmost part of them, and shalt not see them all: therefore curse them out of that place for my sake.

14. ഇങ്ങനെ അവന് പിസ്ഗകൊടുമുടിയില് സോഫീം എന്ന മുകള്പ്പരപ്പിലേക്കു അവനെ കൊണ്ടുപോയി ഏഴു യാഗപീഠം പണിതു ഔരോ പീഠത്തിന്മേലും ഒരു കാളയെയും ഒരു ആട്ടുകൊറ്റനെയും യാഗം കഴിച്ചു.

14. And he brought him into Sede-sophim to the top of Pisgah, and built seuen altars, and offred a bullocke, and a ramme on euery altar.

15. പിന്നെ അവന് ബാലാക്കിനോടുഇവിടെ നിന്റെ ഹോമയാഗത്തിന്റെ അടുക്കല് നില്ക്ക; ഞാന് അങ്ങോട്ടു ചെന്നു കാണട്ടെ എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

15. After, he sayde vnto Balak, Stande here by thy burnt offring, and I wil meete the Lord yonder.

16. യഹോവ ബിലെയാമിന്നു പ്രത്യക്ഷനായി അവന്റെ നാവിന്മേല് ഒരു വചനം കൊടുത്തുബാലാക്കിന്റെ അടുക്കല് മടങ്ങിച്ചെന്നു ഇപ്രകാരം പറക എന്നു കല്പിച്ചു.

16. And the Lord mette Balaam, and put an answere in his mouth, and sayd, Goe againe vnto Balak, and say thus.

17. അവന് അവന്റെ അടുക്കല് വന്നപ്പോള് അവന് മോവാബ്യ പ്രഭുക്കന്മാരോടുകൂടെ തന്റെ ഹോമയാഗത്തിന്റെ അടുക്കല് നിന്നിരുന്നു. അപ്പോള് ബാലാക് അവനോടുയഹോവ എന്തു അരുളിച്ചെയ്തു എന്നു ചോദിച്ചു.

17. And when he came to him, beholde, hee stoode by his burnt offering, and the princes of Moab with him: so Balak sayde vnto him, What hath the Lord sayd?

18. അവന് സുഭാഷിതം ചൊല്ലിത്തുടങ്ങിയതുബാലാക്കേ, എഴുന്നേറ്റു കേള്ക്ക; സിപ്പോരിന്റെ പുത്രാ, എനിക്കു ചെവി തരിക.

18. And he vttered his parable, and sayde, Rise vp, Balak, and heare: hearken vnto me, thou sonne of Zippor.

19. വ്യാജം പറവാന് ദൈവം മനുഷ്യനല്ല; അനുതപിപ്പാന് അവന് മനുഷ്യപുത്രനുമല്ല; താന് കല്പിച്ചതു ചെയ്യാതിരിക്കുമോ? താന് അരുളിച്ചെയ്തതു നിവര്ത്തിക്കാതിരിക്കുമോ?

19. God is not as man, that he should lie, neither as the sonne of man that he shoulde repent: hath he sayde and shall he not do it? and hath he spoken, and shall he not accomplish it?

20. അനുഗ്രഹിപ്പാന് എനിക്കു കല്പന ലഭിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു; അവന് അനുഗ്രഹിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു; എനിക്കു അതു മറിച്ചുകൂടാ.

20. Behold, I haue receiued commandement to blesse: for he hath blessed, and I cannot alter it.

21. യാക്കോബില് തിന്മ കാണ്മാനില്ല; യിസ്രായേലില് കഷ്ടത ദര്ശിപ്പാനുമില്ല; അവന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവ അവനോടു കൂടെ ഇരിക്കുന്നു; രാജകോലാഹലം അവരുടെ മദ്ധ്യേ ഉണ്ടു.

21. Hee seeth none iniquitie in Iaakob, nor seeth no transgression in Israel: the Lord his God is with him, and the ioyfull shoute of a king is among them.

22. ദൈവം അവരെ മിസ്രയീമില്നിന്നു കൊണ്ടു വരുന്നു; കാട്ടുപോത്തിന്നു തുല്യമായ ബലം അവന്നു ഉണ്ടു.

22. God brought them out of Egypt: their strength is as an vnicorne.

23. ആഭിചാരം യാക്കോബിന്നു പറ്റുകയില്ല; ലക്ഷണവിദ്യ യിസ്രായേലിനോടു ഫലിക്കയുമില്ല; ഇപ്പോള് യാക്കോബിനെക്കുറിച്ചും യിസ്രായേലിനെക്കുറിച്ചുംദൈവം എന്തെല്ലാം പ്രവര്ത്തിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു എന്നേ പറയാവു.

23. For there is no sorcerie in Iaakob, nor soothsaying in Israel: according to this time it shalbe sayde of Iaakob and of Israel, What hath God wrought?

24. ഇതാ, ജനം സിംഹിയെപ്പോലെ എഴുന്നേലക്കുന്നു; ബാലസിംഹത്തെപ്പോലെ തെളിഞ്ഞുനിലക്കുന്നു; അവന് ഇര പിടിച്ചു തിന്നാതെയും നിഹതന്മാരുടെ രക്തം കുടിക്കാതെയും കിടക്കയില്ല.

24. Behold, the people shall rise vp as a lyon, and lift vp himselfe as a yong lyon: hee shall not lye downe, till he eate of the pray, and till he drinke the blood of the slayne.

25. അപ്പോള് ബാലാക് ബിലെയാമിനോടുഅവരെ ശപിക്കയും വേണ്ടാ അനുഗ്രഹിക്കയും വേണ്ടാ എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

25. Then Balak sayde vnto Balaam, Neither curse, nor blesse them at all.

26. ബിലെയാം ബാലാക്കിനോടുയഹോവ കല്പിക്കുന്നതൊക്കെയും ഞാന് ചെയ്യും എന്നു നിന്നോടു പറഞ്ഞില്ലയോ എന്നുത്തരം പറഞ്ഞു.

26. But Balaam answered, and saide vnto Balak, Tolde not I thee, saying, All that the Lord speaketh, that must I do?

27. ബാലാക് ബിലെയാമിനോടുവരിക, ഞാന് നിന്നെ മറ്റൊരു സ്ഥലത്തു കൊണ്ടുപോകും; അവിടെനിന്നു നീ എനിക്കുവേണ്ടി അവരെ ശപിപ്പാന് ദൈവത്തിന്നു പക്ഷേ സമ്മതമാകും എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

27. Againe Balak sayd vnto Balaam, Come, I pray thee, I wil bring thee vnto another place, if so be it wil please God, that thou mayest thence curse them for my sake.

28. അങ്ങനെ ബാലാക് ബിലെയാമിനെ മരുഭൂമിക്കു എതിരെയുള്ള പെയോര്മലയുടെ മുകളില് കൊണ്ടുപോയി.

28. So Balak brought Balaam vnto the top of Peor, that looketh toward Ieshmon.

29. ബിലെയാം ബാലാക്കിനോടുഇവിടെ എനിക്കു ഏഴു യാഗപീഠം പണിതു ഏഴു കാളയെയും ഏഴു ആട്ടുകൊറ്റനെയും ഒരുക്കിനിര്ത്തുക എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

29. Then Balaam sayde vnto Balak, Make me here seuen altars, and prepare me here seuen bullocks, and seuen rammes.

30. ബിലെയാം പറഞ്ഞതുപോലെ ബാലാക് ചെയ്തു; ഔരോ യാഗപീഠത്തിന്മേലും ഒരു കാളയെയും ഒരു ആട്ടുകൊറ്റനെയും യാഗം കഴിച്ചു.

30. And Balak did as Balaam had sayd, and offred a bullocke and a ram on euery altar.
