1. Jesus called his twelve followers together and gave them authority to drive out evil spirits and to heal every kind of disease and sickness.

2. പന്ത്രണ്ടു അപ്പൊസ്തലന്മാരുടെ പേരാവിതുഒന്നാമന് പത്രൊസ് എന്നു പേരുള്ള ശിമോന് , അവന്റെ സഹോദരന് അന്ത്രെയാസ്, സെബെദിയുടെ മകന് യാക്കോബ്,

2. These are the names of the twelve apostles: Simon (also called Peter) and his brother Andrew; James son of Zebedee, and his brother John;

3. Philip and Bartholomew; Thomas and Matthew, the tax collector; James son of Alphaeus, and Thaddaeus;

4. Simon the Zealot and Judas Iscariot, who turned against Jesus.

5. Jesus sent out these twelve men with the following order: 'Don't go to the non-Jewish people or to any town where the Samaritans live.

6. But go to the people of Israel, who are like lost sheep.

7. When you go, preach this: 'The kingdom of heaven is near.'

8. Heal the sick, raise the dead to life again, heal those who have skin diseases, and force demons out of people. I give you these powers freely, so help other people freely.

9. Don't carry any money with you -- gold or silver or copper.

10. Don't carry a bag or extra clothes or sandals or a walking stick. Workers should be given what they need.

11. ഏതു പട്ടണത്തിലോ ഗ്രാമത്തിലോ കടക്കുമ്പോള് അവിടെ യോഗ്യന് ആര് എന്നു അന്വേഷിപ്പിന് ; പുറപ്പെടുവോളം അവിടത്തന്നേ പാര്പ്പിന് .

11. 'When you enter a city or town, find some worthy person there and stay in that home until you leave.

12. ആ വീട്ടില് ചെല്ലുമ്പോള് അതിന്നു വന്ദനം പറവിന് .

12. When you enter that home, say, 'Peace be with you.'

13. വീട്ടിന്നു യോഗ്യതയുണ്ടെങ്കില് നിങ്ങളുടെ സമാധാനം അതിന്മേല് വരട്ടെ; യോഗ്യതയില്ല എന്നു വരികില് സമാധാനം നിങ്ങളിലേക്കു മടങ്ങിപ്പോരട്ടെ.

13. If the people there welcome you, let your peace stay there. But if they don't welcome you, take back the peace you wished for them.

14. ആരെങ്കിലും നിങ്ങളെ കൈക്കൊള്ളാതെയും നിങ്ങളുടെ വചനങ്ങളെ കേള്ക്കാതെയുമിരുന്നാല് ആ വീടോ പട്ടണമോ വിട്ടു പോകുമ്പോള് നിങ്ങളുടെ കാലിലെ പൊടി തട്ടിക്കളവിന് .

14. And if a home or town refuses to welcome you or listen to you, leave that place and shake its dust off your feet.

15. ന്യായവിധിദിവസത്തില് ആ പട്ടണത്തെക്കാള് സൊദോമ്യരുടേയും ഗമോര്യരുടെയും ദേശത്തിന്നു സഹിക്കാവതാകും എന്നു ഞാന് സത്യമായിട്ടു നിങ്ങളോടു പറയുന്നു.

15. I tell you the truth, on the Judgment Day it will be better for the towns of Sodom and Gomorrahn than for the people of that town.

16. ചെന്നായ്ക്കളുടെ നടുവില് ആടിനെപ്പോലെ ഞാന് നിങ്ങളെ അയക്കുന്നു. ആകയാല് പാമ്പിനെപ്പോലെ ബുദ്ധിയുള്ളവരും പ്രാവിനെപ്പോലെ കളങ്കമില്ലാത്തവരും ആയിരിപ്പിന് .

16. Listen, I am sending you out like sheep among wolves. So be as smart as snakes and as innocent as doves.

17. മനുഷ്യരെ സൂക്ഷിച്ചുകൊള്വിന് ; അവര് നിങ്ങളെ ന്യായാധിപസഭകളില് ഏല്പിക്കയും തങ്ങളുടെ പള്ളികളില്വെച്ചു ചമ്മട്ടികൊണ്ടു അടിക്കയും

17. Be careful of people, because they will arrest you and take you to court and whip you in their synagogues.

18. എന്റെ നിമിത്തം നാടുവാഴികള്ക്കും രാജാക്കന്മാര്ക്കും മുമ്പില് കൊണ്ടുപോകയും ചെയ്യും; അതു അവര്ക്കും ജാതികള്ക്കും ഒരു സാക്ഷ്യം ആയിരിക്കും.

18. Because of me you will be taken to stand before governors and kings, and you will tell them and the non-Jewish people about me.

19. എന്നാല് നിങ്ങളെ ഏല്പിക്കുമ്പോള് എങ്ങനെയോ എന്തോ പറയേണ്ടു എന്നു വിചാരപ്പെടേണ്ടാ; പറവാനുള്ളതു ആ നാഴികയില് തന്നേ നിങ്ങള്ക്കു ലഭിക്കും.

19. When you are arrested, don't worry about what to say or how to say it. At that time you will be given the things to say.

20. പറയുന്നതു നിങ്ങള് അല്ല, നിങ്ങളില് പറയുന്ന നിങ്ങളുടെ പിതാവിന്റെ ആത്മാവത്രേ.

20. It will not really be you speaking but the Spirit of your Father speaking through you.

21. Brothers will give their own brothers to be killed, and fathers will give their own children to be killed. Children will fight against their own parents and have them put to death.

22. All people will hate you because you follow me, but those people who keep their faith until the end will be saved.

23. എന്നാല് ഒരു പട്ടണത്തില് നിങ്ങളെ ഉപദ്രവിച്ചാല് മറ്റൊന്നിലേക്കു ഔടിപ്പോകുവിന് . മനുഷ്യപുത്രന് വരുവോളം നിങ്ങള് യിസ്രായേല് പട്ടണങ്ങളെ സഞചരിച്ചു തീരുകയില്ല എന്നു ഞാന് സത്യമായിട്ടു നിങ്ങളോടു പറയുന്നു.

23. When you are treated badly in one city, run to another city. I tell you the truth, you will not finish going through all the cities of Israel before the Son of Man comes.

24. ശിഷ്യന് ഗുരുവിന്മീതെയല്ല; ദാസന് യജമാനന്നു മീതെയുമല്ല;

24. 'A student is not better than his teacher, and a servant is not better than his master.

25. ഗുരുവിനെപ്പോലെയാകുന്നതു ശിഷ്യന്നു മതി; യജമാനനെപ്പോലെയാകുന്നതു ദാസന്നും മതി. അവര് വീട്ടുടയവനെ ബെയെത്സെബൂല് എന്നു വിളിച്ചു എങ്കില് വീട്ടുകാരെ എത്ര അധികം?

25. A student should be satisfied to become like his teacher; a servant should be satisfied to become like his master. If the head of the family is called Beelzebul, then the other members of the family will be called worse names! Fear God, Not People

26. അതു കൊണ്ടു അവരെ ഭയപ്പെടേണ്ടാ; മറെച്ചുവെച്ചതു ഒന്നും വെളിപ്പെടാതെയും ഗൂഢമായതു ഒന്നും അറിയാതെയും ഇരിക്കുകയില്ല.

26. So don't be afraid of those people, because everything that is hidden will be shown. Everything that is secret will be made known.

27. ഞാന് ഇരുട്ടത്തു നിങ്ങളോടു പറയുന്നതു വെളിച്ചത്തു പറവിന് ; ചെവിയില് പറഞ്ഞുകേള്ക്കുന്നതു പുരമുകളില്നിന്നു ഘോഷിപ്പിന് .

27. I tell you these things in the dark, but I want you to tell them in the light. What you hear whispered in your ear you should shout from the housetops.

28. ദേഹിയെ കൊല്ലുവാന് കഴിയാതെ ദേഹത്തെ കൊല്ലുന്നവരെ ഭയപ്പെടേണ്ടാ; ദേഹിയെയും ദേഹത്തെയും നരകത്തില് നശിപ്പിപ്പാന് കഴിയുന്നവനെ തന്നേ ഭയപ്പെടുവിന് .

28. Don't be afraid of people, who can kill the body but cannot kill the soul. The only one you should fear is the one who can destroy the soul and the body in hell.

29. കാശിന്നു രണ്ടു കുരികില് വില്ക്കുന്നില്ലയോ? അവയില് ഒന്നുപോലും നിങ്ങളുടെ പിതാവു സമ്മതിക്കാതെ നിലത്തു വീഴുകയില്ല.

29. Two sparrows cost only a penny, but not even one of them can die without your Father's knowing it.

30. എന്നാല് നിങ്ങളുടെ തലയിലെ രോമവും എല്ലാം എണ്ണപ്പെട്ടിരിക്കുന്നു.

30. God even knows how many hairs are on your head.

31. ആകയാല് ഭയപ്പെടേണ്ടാ; ഏറിയ കുരികിലുകളെക്കാളും നിങ്ങള് വിശേഷതയുള്ളവരല്ലോ.

31. So don't be afraid. You are worth much more than many sparrows.

32. മനുഷ്യരുടെ മുമ്പില് എന്നെ ഏറ്റുപറയുന്ന ഏവനെയും സ്വര്ഗ്ഗസ്ഥനായ എന്റെ പിതാവിന് മുമ്പില് ഞാനും ഏറ്റുപറയും.

32. All those who stand before others and say they believe in me, I will say before my Father in heaven that they belong to me.

33. മനുഷ്യരുടെ മുമ്പില് എന്നെ തള്ളിപ്പറയുന്നവനെയോ എന്റെ പിതാവിന് മുമ്പില് ഞാനും തള്ളിപ്പറയും.

33. But all who stand before others and say they do not believe in me, I will say before my Father in heaven that they do not belong to me.

34. ഞാന് ഭൂമിയില് സമാധാനം വരുത്തുവാന് വന്നു എന്നു നിരൂപിക്കരുതു; സമാധാനം അല്ല വാള് അത്രേ വരുത്തുവാന് ഞാന് വന്നതു.

34. 'Don't think that I came to bring peace to the earth. I did not come to bring peace, but a sword.

35. മനുഷ്യനെ തന്റെ അപ്പനോടും മകളെ അമ്മയോടും മരുമകളെ അമ്മാവിയമ്മയോടും ഭേദിപ്പിപ്പാനത്രേ ഞാന് വന്നതു.

35. I have come so that 'a son will be against his father, a daughter will be against her mother, a daughter-in-law will be against her mother-in-law.

36. മനുഷ്യന്റെ വീട്ടുകാര് തന്നേ അവന്റെ ശത്രുക്കള് ആകും.

36. A person's enemies will be members of his own family.'

37. എന്നെക്കാള് അധികം അപ്പനേയോ അമ്മയേയോ പ്രിയപ്പെടുന്നവന് എനിക്കു യോഗ്യനല്ല; എന്നെക്കാള് അധികം മകനെയോ മകളെയോ പ്രിയപ്പെടുന്നവന് എനിക്കു യോഗ്യനല്ല.

37. 'Those who love their father or mother more than they love me are not worthy to be my followers. Those who love their son or daughter more than they love me are not worthy to be my followers.

39. Those who try to hold on to their lives will give up true life. Those who give up their lives for me will hold on to true life.

40. നിങ്ങളെ കൈക്കൊള്ളുന്നവന് എന്നെ കൈക്കൊള്ളുന്നു; എന്നെ കൈക്കൊള്ളുന്നവന് എന്നെ അയച്ചവനെ കൈക്കൊള്ളുന്നു.

40. Whoever accepts you also accepts me, and whoever accepts me also accepts the One who sent me.

41. പ്രവാചകന് എന്നുവെച്ചു പ്രവാചകനെ കൈക്കൊള്ളുന്നവന്നു പ്രവാചകന്റെ പ്രതിഫലം ലഭിക്കും. നീതിമാന് എന്നുവെച്ചു നീതിമാനെ കൈക്കൊള്ളുന്നവന്നു നീതിമാന്റെ പ്രതിഫലം ലഭിക്കും.

41. Whoever meets a prophet and accepts him will receive the reward of a prophet. And whoever accepts a good person because that person is good will receive the reward of a good person.

42. ശിഷ്യന് എന്നു വെച്ചു ഈ ചെറിയവരില് ഒരുത്തന്നു ഒരു പാനപാത്രം തണ്ണീര് മാത്രം കുടിപ്പാന് കൊടുക്കുന്നവന്നു പ്രതിഫലം കിട്ടാതെ പോകയില്ല എന്നു ഞാന് സത്യമായിട്ടു നിങ്ങളോടു പറയുന്നു.”

42. Those who give one of these little ones a cup of cold water because they are my followers will truly get their reward.'
