1. ആറു ദിവസം കഴിഞ്ഞശേഷം യേശു പത്രൊസിനെയും യാക്കോബിനെയും അവന്റെ സഹോദരനായ യോഹന്നാനെയും കൂട്ടി തനിച്ചു ഒരു ഉയര്ന്ന മലയിലേക്കു കൊണ്ടുപോയി,.

1. And after sixe dayes, Iesus taketh Peter, Iames, and Iohn his brother, and bryngeth them vp into an hye mountayne, out of the way,

2. അവരുടെ മുമ്പാകെ രൂപാന്തരപ്പെട്ടു, അവന്റെ മുഖം സൂര്യനെപ്പോലെ ശോഭിച്ചു അവന്റെ വസ്ത്രം വെളിച്ചം പോലെ വെള്ളയായി തീര്ന്നു.

2. And was transfigured before them, and his face did shyne as the sunne, and his clothes were as whyte as the lyght.

3. മോശെയും ഏലിയാവും അവനോടു സംഭാഷിക്കുന്നതായി അവര് കണ്ടു.

3. And beholde, there appeared vnto them, Moyses, and Elias talkyng with hym.

4. അപ്പോള് പത്രൊസ് യേശുവിനോടുകര്ത്താവേ, നാം ഇവിടെ ഇരിക്കുന്നതു നന്നു; നിനക്കു സമ്മതമെങ്കില് ഞാന് ഇവിടെ മൂന്നു കുടില് ഉണ്ടാക്കാം ഒന്നു നിനക്കും ഒന്നു മോശെക്കും ഒന്നു ഏലീയാവിന്നും എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

4. Then aunswered Peter, and sayde vnto Iesus: Lorde, it is good for vs to be here. If thou wylt, let vs make here three tabernacles: one for thee, and one for Moyses, and one for Elias.

5. അവന് പറയുമ്പോള് തന്നേ പ്രകാശമുള്ളോരു മേഘം അവരുടെ മേല് നിഴലിട്ടു; മേഘത്തില് നിന്നുഇവന് എന്റെ പ്രീയ പുത്രന് , ഇവങ്കല് ഞാന് പ്രസാദിക്കുന്നു; ഇവന്നു ചെവികൊടുപ്പിന് എന്നു ഒരു ശബ്ദവും ഉണ്ടായി.

5. Whyle he yet spake, beholde, a bryght cloude shadowed them: And beholde, [there came] a voyce out of the cloude, which sayde, this is my beloued sonne in whom I am well pleased, heare hym.

6. ശിഷ്യന്മാര് അതു കേട്ടിട്ടു ഏറ്റവും ഭയപ്പെട്ടു കവിണ്ണുവീണു.

6. And when the disciples hearde [these thynges] they fell on their face, and were sore afrayde.

7. യേശു അടുത്തു ചെന്നു അവരെ തൊട്ടു“എഴുന്നേല്പിന് , ഭയപ്പെടേണ്ടാ” എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

7. And Iesus came, and touched them, and sayde: aryse, and be not afrayde.

8. അവര് തലപൊക്കിയാറെ യേശുവിനെ മാത്രമല്ലാതെ ആരെയും കണ്ടില്ല.

8. And when they had lyft vp their eyes, they sawe no man, saue Iesus only.

9. അവന് മലയില് നിന്നു ഇറങ്ങുമ്പോള് യേശു അവരോടു“മനുഷ്യപുത്രന് മരിച്ചവരുടെ ഇടയില് നിന്നു ഉയിര്ത്തെഴുന്നേലക്കുംവരെ ഈ ദര്ശനം ആരോടും പറയരുതു” എന്നു കല്പിച്ചു.

9. And when they came downe from the mountayne, Iesus charged them, saying: shewe the vision to no man, vntyll the sonne of man be rysen agayne from the dead.

10. ശിഷ്യന്മാര് അവനോടുഎന്നാല് ഏലീയാവു മുമ്പെ വരേണ്ടതു എന്നു ശാസ്ത്രിമാര് പറയുന്നതു എന്തു എന്നു ചോദിച്ചു.

10. And his disciples asked hym, saying: Why then say the scribes, that Elias must first come?

11. അതിന്നു അവന് “ഏലീയാവു വന്നു സകലവും യഥാസ്ഥാനത്താക്കും സത്യം.

11. Iesus aunswered, & sayde vnto them: Elias truely shall first come, and restore all thynges:

12. എന്നാല് ഏലീയാവു വന്നു കഴിഞ്ഞു എന്നു ഞാന് നിങ്ങളോടു പറയുന്നു; എങ്കിലും അവര് അവനെ അറിഞ്ഞുകൊള്ളാതെ തങ്ങള്ക്കു തോന്നിയതു എല്ലാം അവനോടു ചെയ്തു. അവ്വണ്ണം മനുഷ്യപുത്രന്നും അവരാല് കഷ്ടപ്പെടുവാനുണ്ടു” എന്നു ഉത്തരം പറഞ്ഞു.

12. But I say vnto you, that Elias is come alredy, and they knewe hym not, but haue done vnto hym, whatsoeuer they lusted.

13. അവന് യോഹന്നാന് സ്നാപകനെക്കുറിച്ചു തങ്ങളോടു പറഞ്ഞു എന്നു ശിഷ്യന്മാര് ഗ്രഹിച്ചു.

13. Lykewyse, shall also the sonne of man suffer of them. Then the disciples vnderstode, that he spake vnto them of Iohn Baptist.

14. അവര് പുരുഷാരത്തിന്റെ അടുക്കല് വന്നാറെ ഒരു മനുഷ്യന് വന്നു അവന്റെ മുമ്പാകെ മുട്ടുകുത്തി

14. And when they were come to the people, there came to hym a certayne man, knelyng downe to hym, and saying:

15. കര്ത്താവേ, എന്റെ മകനോടു കരുണയുണ്ടാകേണമേ; അവന് ചന്ദ്രരോഗം പിടിച്ചു പലപ്പോഴും തീയിലും പലപ്പോഴും വെള്ളത്തിലും വീണു വല്ലാത്ത കഷ്ടത്തിലായ്പോകുന്നു.

15. Lorde, haue mercy on my sonne, for he is lunaticke, and sore vexed: for oft tymes he falleth into the fyre, and oft into the water.

16. ഞാന് അവനെ നിന്റെ ശീഷ്യന്മാരുടെ അടുക്കല് കൊണ്ടുവന്നു; എന്നാല് സൌഖ്യം വരുത്തുവാന് അവര്ക്കും കഴിഞ്ഞില്ല എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

16. And I brought hym to thy disciples, and they coulde not heale hym.

17. അതിന്നു യേശു“അവിശ്വാസവും കോട്ടവുമുള്ള തലമുറയേ, എത്രത്തോളം ഞാന് നിങ്ങളോടു കൂടെ ഇരിക്കും? എത്രത്തോളം നിങ്ങളെ സഹിക്കും? അവനെ എന്റെ അടുക്കല് കൊണ്ടുവരുവിന് ” എന്നു ഉത്തരം പറഞഞു.

17. Iesus aunswered and sayde: O faythlesse and croked nation, howe long shall I be with you? howe long shal I suffer you? bryng hym hyther to me.

18. യേശു ഭൂതത്തെ ശാസിച്ചു, അതു അവനെ വിട്ടുപോയി, ബാലന്നു ആ നാഴികമുതല് സൌഖ്യംവന്നു.

18. And Iesus rebuked the deuyll, and he departed out of hym: And the chylde was healed euen that same tyme.

19. പിന്നെ ശിഷ്യന്മാര് സ്വകാര്യമായി യേശുവിന്റെ അടുക്കല് വന്നുഞങ്ങള്ക്കു അതിനെ പുറത്താക്കിക്കൂടാഞ്ഞതു എന്തു എന്നു ചോദിച്ചു.

19. Then came the disciples to Iesus secretely, and sayde: why coulde not we cast hym out?

20. അവന് അവരോടു“നിങ്ങളുടെ അല്പവിശ്വാസം നിമിത്തമത്രേ;

20. Iesus sayde vnto them: because of your vnbeliefe. For veryly I say vnto you: If ye haue fayth as a grayne of mustarde seede, ye shall say vnto this mountayne: remoue hence to yonder place, and it shall remoue, neither shall any thyng be vnpossible vnto you.

21. നിങ്ങള്ക്കു കടുകുമണിയോളം വിശ്വാസമുണ്ടെങ്കില് ഈ മലയോടുഇവിടെ നിന്നു അങ്ങോട്ടു നീങ്ങുക എന്നു പറഞ്ഞാല് അതു നീങ്ങും; നിങ്ങള്ക്കു ഒന്നും അസാദ്ധ്യമാകയുമില്ല.” (എങ്കിലും പ്രാര്ത്ഥനയാലും ഉപവാസത്താലുമല്ലാതെ ഈ ജാതി നീങ്ങിപ്പോകുന്നില്ല) എന്നു ഞാന് സത്യമായിട്ടു നിങ്ങളോടു പറയുന്നു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

21. Howebeit, this kynde goeth not out, but by prayer and fastyng.

22. അവര് ഗലീലയില് സഞ്ചരിക്കുമ്പോള് യേശു അവരോടു“മനുഷ്യപുത്രന് മനുഷ്യരുടെ കയ്യില് ഏല്പിക്കപ്പെടുവാറായിരിക്കുന്നു.

22. Whyle they were occupyed in Galilee, Iesus sayde vnto them: it wyll come to passe, that the sonne of man shalbe betrayed into the handes of men:

23. അവര് അവനെ കൊല്ലുകയും മൂന്നാം നാള് അവന് ഉയിര്ത്തെഴുന്നേല്ക്കയും ചെയ്യും” എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു; അവരോ ഏറ്റവും ദുഃഖിച്ചു.

23. And they shall kyll hym, & the thyrde day shall he ryse agayne: And they were exceadyng sory.

24. അവര് കഫര്ന്നഹൂമില് എത്തിയാറെ ദ്വിദ്രഹ്മപ്പണം വാങ്ങുന്നവര് പത്രൊസിന്റെ അടക്കല് വന്നുനിങ്ങളുടെ ഗുരു ദ്വിദ്രഹ്മപ്പണം കൊടുക്കുന്നില്ലയോ എന്നു ചോദിച്ചതിന്നുഉവ്വു എന്നു അവന് പറഞ്ഞു.

24. And when they were come to Capernaum, they that receaued tribute money, came to Peter, and sayde: Doth not your maister pay tribute?

25. അവന് വീട്ടില് വന്നപ്പോള് യേശു അവനോടു“ശിമോനേ, നിനക്കു എന്തു തോന്നുന്നു? ഭൂമിയിലെ രാജാക്കന്മാര് ചുങ്കമോ കരമോ ആരോടു വാങ്ങുന്നു? പുത്രന്മാരോടോ അന്യരോടോ” എന്നു മുന്നിട്ടു ചോദിച്ചതിന്നുഅന്യരോടു എന്നു അവന് പറഞ്ഞു.

25. He sayth: yes. And when he was come into the house, Iesus preuented hym, saying: What thynkest thou Simon? of whom do the kynges of the earth take tribute or toule? of the chyldren, or of straungers?

26. യേശു അവനോടു“എന്നാല് പുത്രന്മാര് ഒഴിവുള്ളവരല്ലോ.

26. Peter sayth vnto hym: of straungers. Iesus sayth vnto hym: Then are the chyldren free.

27. എങ്കിലും നാം അവര്ക്കും ഇടര്ച്ച വരുത്താതിരിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു നീ കടലീലേക്കു ചെന്നു ചൂണ്ടല് ഇട്ടു ആദ്യം കിട്ടുന്ന മീനിനെ എടുക്ക; അതിന്റെ വായ് തുറക്കുമ്പോള് ഒരു ചതുര്ദ്രഹ്മപ്പണം കാണും; അതു എടുത്തു എനിക്കും നിനക്കും വേണ്ടി കൊടുക്ക” എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

27. Notwithstandyng, lest we shoulde offende them, go thou to the sea, and cast an angle, and take the fisshe that first commeth vp: and when thou hast opened his mouth, thou shalt fynde a peece of twenty pence: that take, and geue it vnto them for me, and thee.
