1. രണ്ടു ദിവസം കഴിഞ്ഞിട്ടു പെസഹയുടെയും പുളിപ്പില്ലാത്ത അപ്പത്തിന്റെയും ഉത്സവം ആയിരുന്നു. അപ്പോള് മഹാപുരോഹിതന്മാരും ശാസ്ത്രിമാരും അവനെ ഉപായത്താല് പിടിച്ചു കൊല്ലേണ്ടതു എങ്ങനെ എന്നു അനേഷിച്ചു

1. And after two dayes was Easter, and the daies of swete bred. And ye hye prestes & scrybes sought how they might take him with disceate, & put him to death.

2. ജനത്തില് കലഹം ഉണ്ടാകാതിരിപ്പാന് ഉത്സവത്തില് അരുതു എന്നു അവര് പറഞ്ഞു.

2. But they sayde: Not in the feast daye, lest there be an vproure in the people.

3. അവന് ബേഥാന്യയില് കുഷ്ഠരോഗിയായ ശിമോന്റെ വീട്ടില് പന്തിയില് ഇരിക്കുമ്പോള് ഒരു സ്ത്രീ ഒരു വെണ്കല്ഭരണി വിലയേറിയ സ്വച്ഛജടാമാംസി തൈലുവുമായി വന്നു ഭരണി പൊട്ടിച്ചു അവന്റെ തലയില് ഒഴിച്ചു.

3. And when he was at Bethanye in the house of Symon the leper, and sat at the table, there came a woman, which had a boxe of pure and costly Nardus oyntment. And she brake ye boxe, & poured it vpo his heade.

4. അവിടെ ചിലര്തൈലത്തിന്റെ ഈ വെറും ചെലവു എന്തിന്നു?

4. Then were there some, yt disdayned and sayde: Where to serueth this waist?

5. ഇതു മുന്നൂറ്റില് അധികം വെള്ളിക്കാശിന്നു വിറ്റു ദരിദ്രര്ക്കും കൊടുപ്പാന് കഴിയുമായിരുന്നുവല്ലോ എന്നിങ്ങനെ ഉള്ളില് നീരസപ്പെട്ടു അവളെ ഭര്ത്സിച്ചു.

5. This oyntment might haue bene solde for more then thre hundreth pens, & bene geue to ye poore. And they grudged agaynst her.

6. എന്നാല് യേശുഇവളെ വിടുവിന് ; അവളെ അസഹ്യപ്പെടുത്തുന്നതു എന്തു? അവള് എങ്കല് നല്ല പ്രവൃത്തിയല്ലോ ചെയ്തതു.

6. But Iesus sayde: let her be in rest. Why trouble ye her? She hath done a good worke vpo me.

7. ദരിദ്രര് നിങ്ങള്ക്കു എല്ലായ്പോഴും അടുക്കെ ഉണ്ടല്ലോ; ഇച്ഛിക്കുമ്പോള് അവര്ക്കും നന്മചെയ്വാന് നിങ്ങള്ക്കു കഴിയും; ഞാനോ എല്ലായ്പോഴും നിങ്ങളോടുകൂടെ ഇരിക്കയില്ല.

7. Ye haue allwaye the poore with you, and wha so euer ye wil, ye maye do the good: but me haue ye not allwaie.

8. അവള് തന്നാല് ആവതു ചെയ്തു; കല്ലറയിലെ അടക്കത്തിന്നായി എന്റെ ദേഹത്തിന്നു മുമ്പുകൂട്ടി തൈലം തേച്ചു.

8. She hath done what she coulde, she is come before, to anoynte my body for my buriall.

9. സുവിശേഷം ലോകത്തില് ഒക്കെയും പ്രസംഗിക്കുന്നേടത്തെല്ലാം അവള് ചെയ്തതും അവളുടെ ഔര്മ്മെക്കായി പ്രസ്താവിക്കും എന്നു ഞാന് സത്യമായിട്ടു നിങ്ങളോടു പറയുന്നു.

9. Verely I saye vnto you: Where so euer this gospell shalbe preached in all the worlde, there shal this also that she hath now done, be tolde for a remembraunce of her.

10. പിന്നെ പന്തിരുവരില് ഒരുത്തനായി ഈസ്കര്യ്യോത്താവായ യൂദാ അവനെ മഹാപുരോഹിതന്മാര്ക്കും കാണിച്ചുകൊടുക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു അവരുടെ അടുക്കല് ചെന്നു.

10. And Iudas Iscarioth one of the twolue wente vnto the hye prestes, to betraye him vnto them.

11. അവര് അതു കേട്ടു സന്തോഷിച്ചു അവന്നു പണം കൊടുക്കാം എന്നു വാഗ്ദത്തം ചെയ്തു; അവനും അവനെ എങ്ങനെ കാണിച്ചുകൊടുക്കാം എന്നു തക്കം അന്വേഷിച്ചുപോന്നു.

11. Whan they herde yt, they were glad, & promysed that they wolde geue him money. And he sought, how he might coueniently betraye him.

12. പെസഹകുഞ്ഞാടിനെ അറുക്കുന്നതായ പുളിപ്പില്ലാത്ത അപ്പത്തിന്റെ ഒന്നാം നാളില് ശിഷ്യന്മാര് അവനോടുനീ പെസഹ കഴിപ്പാന് ഞങ്ങള് എവിടെ ഒരുക്കേണം എന്നു ചോദിച്ചു.

12. And vpon ye first daye of swete bred, wha the Easter lambe was offered, his disciples sayde vnto him: Where wilt thou yt we go and prepare, yt thou mayest eate ye Easter labe?

13. അവന് ശിഷ്യന് മാരില് രണ്ടുപേരെ അയച്ചു; നഗരത്തില് ചെല്ലുവിന് ; അവിടെ ഒരു കുടം വെള്ളം ചുമന്നുകൊണ്ടു ഒരു മനുഷ്യന് നിങ്ങളെ എതിര്പെടും.

13. And he sent two of his disciples, and sayde vnto them: Go youre waye into the cite, and there shal mete you a ma bearinge a pitcher with water, folowe him,

14. അവന്റെ പിന്നാലെ ചെന്നു അവന് കടക്കുന്നേടത്തു ആ വിട്ടുടയവനോടുഞാന് എന്റെ ശിഷ്യന്മാരുമായി പെസഹ കഴിപ്പാനുള്ള ശാല എവിടെ എന്നു ഗുരു ചോദിക്കുന്നു എന്നു പറവിന് .

14. & where so euer he goeth in, there saye ye to the good man of the house: The Master sendeth the worde: Where is the gest house, wherin I maye eate the Easter labe, wt my disciples?

15. അവന് വിരിച്ചൊരുക്കിയ ഒരു വന്മാളിക കാണിച്ചുതരും; അവിടെ നമുക്കു ഒരുക്കുവിന് എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

15. And he shal shewe you a greate parlour, which is paued & prepared, there make readye for vs.

16. ശിഷ്യന്മാര് പുറപ്പെട്ടു നഗരത്തില് ചെന്നു അവന് തങ്ങളോടു പറഞ്ഞതു പോലെ കണ്ടു പെസഹ ഒരുക്കി.

16. And ye disciples wete forth, & came in to ye cite, & foude it as he had sayde vnto the. And they prepared ye Easter lambe.

17. സന്ധ്യയായപ്പോള് അവന് പന്തിരുവരോടും കൂടെ വന്നു.

17. At euen he came wt the twolue.

18. അവര് ഇരുന്നു ഭക്ഷിക്കുമ്പോള് യേശുനിങ്ങളില് ഒരുവന് എന്നോടുകൂടെ ഭക്ഷിക്കുന്നവന് തന്നേ, എന്നെ കാണിച്ചുകൊടുക്കും എന്നു ഞാന് സത്യമായിട്ടു നിങ്ങളോടു പറയുന്നു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

18. And as they sat at the table & ate, Iesus sayde: Verely I saye vnto you: One of you yt eateth wt me, shal betraye me.

19. അവന് ദുഃഖിച്ചു, ഔരോരുത്തന് ഞാനോ, ഞാനോ എന്നു അവനോടു ചോദിച്ചു തുടങ്ങി.

19. And they were sory, & sayde vnto hi one after another: Is it I? & another (sayde:) is it I?

20. അവന് അവരോടുപന്തിരുവരില് ഒരുവന് , എന്നോടുകൂടെ താലത്തില് കൈമുക്കുന്നവന് തന്നേ.

20. He answered & saide vnto the: One of the twolue, euen ye same yt dyppeth with me in ye platter.

21. മനുഷ്യപുത്രന് പോകുന്നതു തന്നെക്കുറിച്ചു എഴുതിയിരിക്കുന്നതുപോലെ തന്നേ സത്യം; മനുഷ്യപുത്രനെ കാണിച്ചുകൊടുക്കുന്ന മനുഷ്യന്നോ അയ്യോ കഷ്ടം; ആ മനുഷ്യന് ജനിക്കാതിരുന്നു എങ്കില് അവന്നു കൊള്ളായിരുന്നു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

21. The sonne of man truly goeth forth, as it is wrytte of hi. But wo vnto that ma, by whom the sonne of man is betrayed. It were better for the same man, that he had neuer bene borne.

22. അവര് ഭക്ഷിക്കുമ്പോള് അവന് അപ്പം എടുത്തു വാഴ്ത്തി നുറുക്കി അവര്ക്കും കൊടുത്തുവാങ്ങുവിന് ; ഇതു എന്റെ ശരീരം എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

22. And as they ate, Iesus toke the bred, gaue thankes, & brake it, and gaue it the, & sayde: Take, eate, this is my body.

23. പിന്നെ പാനപാത്രം എടുത്തു സ്തോത്രംചൊല്ലി അവര്ക്കും കൊടുത്തു; എല്ലാവരും അതില്നിന്നു കുടിച്ചു;

23. And he toke the cuppe, thaked, and gaue it the, and they all dranke therof.

24. ഇതു അനേകര്ക്കും വേണ്ടി ചൊരിയുന്നതായി നിയമത്തിന്നുള്ള എന്റെ രക്തം.

24. And he sayde vnto them: This is my bloude of the new Testament, which shalbe shed for many.

25. മുന്തിരിവള്ളിയുടെ അനുഭവം ദൈവരാജ്യത്തില് പുതുതായി അനുഭവിക്കുംനാള്വരെ ഞാന് അതു ഇനി അനുഭവിക്കയില്ല എന്നു ഞാന് സത്യമായിട്ടു നിങ്ങളോടു പറയുന്നു എന്നു അവരോടു പറഞ്ഞു.

25. Verely I saye vnto you, that from hence forth I wil not drynke of the frute of the vyne, tyll ye daye yt I drynke it new in ye kyngdome of God.

26. പിന്നെ അവര് സ്തോത്രം പാടിയശേഷം ഒലീവുമലകൂ പോയി.

26. And wha they had sayde grace, they wete forth vnto mount Oliuete.

27. യേശു അവരോടുനിങ്ങള് എല്ലാവരും ഇടറിപ്പോകും; “ഞാന് ഇടയനെ വെട്ടും, ആടുകള് ചിതറിപ്പോകും” എന്നു എഴുതിയിരിക്കുന്നുവല്ലോ.

27. And Iesus sayde vnto them: This night shal ye all be offended in me, for it is wrytten: I wil smyte the sheperde, & the shepe shal be scatred abrode.

28. എന്നാല് ഞാന് ഉയിര്ത്തെഴുന്നേറ്റശേഷം നിങ്ങള്ക്കു മുമ്പെ ഗലീലെക്കു പോകും എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

28. Neuertheles after yt I am rysen agayne, I wil go before you in to Galile.

29. പത്രൊസ് അവനോടുഎല്ലാവരും ഇടറിയാലും ഞാന് ഇടറുകയില്ല എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

29. But Peter sayde vnto him: And though all men shulde be offended, yet wolde not I be offended.

30. യേശു അവനോടുഇന്നു, ഈ രാത്രിയില് തന്നേ, കോഴി രണ്ടു വട്ടം ക്കുകും മുമ്പെ നീ മൂന്നു വട്ടം എന്നെ തള്ളിപ്പറയും എന്നു ഞാന് സത്യമായി നിന്നോടു പറയുന്നു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

30. And Iesus sayde vnto him: Verely I saye vnto ye: Todaye in this same night, before ye cock crowe two tymes, shalt thou denye me thryse.

31. അവനോനീന്നോടുകൂടെ മരിക്കേണ്ടിവന്നാലും ഞാന് നിന്നെ തള്ളിപ്പറകയില്ല എന്നു അധികമായി പറഞ്ഞു; അങ്ങനെ തന്നേ എല്ലാവരും പറഞ്ഞു.

31. But he saide yet more: Yee though I shulde dye wt ye, yet wil I not denie ye. So saide they all i like maner.

32. അവര് ഗെത്ത്ശേമന എന്നു പേരുള്ള തോട്ടത്തില് വന്നാറെ അവന് ശിഷ്യന്മാരോടുഞാന് പ്രാര്ത്ഥിച്ചുതീരുവോളം ഇവിടെ ഇരിപ്പിന് എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

32. And they came in to ye felde called Gethsemane, and he saide vnto his disciples: Syt ye here, tyll I go yonder, and praye.

33. പിന്നെ അവന് പത്രൊസിനെയും യാക്കോബിനെയും യോഹന്നാനെയും കൂട്ടിക്കൊണ്ടു ഭ്രമിപ്പാനും വ്യകുലപ്പെടുവാനും തുടങ്ങി

33. And he toke with him Peter & Iames, & Ihon, and begane to waxe fearefull, & to be in an agonye,

34. എന്റെ ഉള്ളം മരണവേദനപോലെ അതിദുഃഖിതമായിരിക്കുന്നു; ഇവിടെ പാര്ത്തു ഉണര്ന്നിരിപ്പിന് എന്നു അവരോടു പറഞ്ഞു.

34. & sayde vnto the: My soule is heuy eue vnto ye death: tary ye here and watch.

35. പിന്നെ അല്പം മുമ്പോട്ടു ചെന്നു നിലത്തു വീണു, കഴിയും എങ്കില് ആ നാഴിക നീങ്ങിപ്പോകേണം എന്നു പ്രാര്ത്ഥിച്ചു

35. And he wente forth a litle, fell vpon the grounde and prayed, that, (yf it were possyble) ye houre might passe fro him,

36. അബ്ബാ, പിതാവേ, നിനക്കു എല്ലാം കഴിയും; ഈ പാനപാത്രം എങ്കല് നിന്നു നീക്കേണമേ; എങ്കിലും ഞാന് ഇച്ഛിക്കുന്നതല്ല നീ ഇച്ഛിക്കുന്നതത്രേ ആകട്ടെ എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

36. and sayde: Abba, my father, all thinges are possyble vnto the, take this cuppe awaye fro me: Neuertheles not what I wyl, but what thou wilt.

37. പിന്നെ അവന് വന്നു അവര് ഉറങ്ങുന്നതു കണ്ടു പത്രൊസിനോടുശിമോനേ, നീ ഉറങ്ങുന്നുവേ? ഒരു നാഴിക ഉണര്ന്നിരിപ്പാന് നിനക്കു കഴിഞ്ഞില്ലയോ?

37. And he came vnto them, and founde the slepynge, and sayde vnto Peter: Symon, slepest thou? Couldest thou not watch with me one houre?

38. പരീക്ഷയില് അകപ്പെടായ്വാന് ഉണര്ന്നിരുന്നു പ്രാര്ത്ഥിപ്പിന് ; ആത്മാവു ഒരുക്കമുള്ളതു, ജഡമോ ബലഹീനമത്രേ എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

38. Watch and praye, that ye fal not in to temptacion. The sprete is wyllinge, but ye flesh is weake.

39. അവന് പിന്നെയും പോയി ആ വചനം തന്നെ ചൊല്ലി പ്രാര്ത്ഥിച്ചു.

39. And he wete forth agayne, and prayde, and spake the same wordes,

40. മടങ്ങിവന്നാറെ അവരുടെ കണ്ണുകള്ക്കു ഭാരമേറിയിരുന്നതുകൊണ്ടു അവര് ഉറങ്ങുന്നതു കണ്ടു; അവര് അവനോടു എന്തു ഉത്തരം പറയേണം എന്നു അറിഞ്ഞില്ല;

40. and returned, and founde them slepynge agayne: for their eyes were heuy, & they knewe not what they shulde answere him.

41. അവന് മൂന്നാമതു വന്നു അവരോടുഇനി ഉറങ്ങി ആശ്വസിച്ചുകൊള്വിന് ; മതി, നാഴിക വന്നു; ഇതാ, മനുഷ്യ പുത്രന് പാപികളുടെ കയ്യില് ഏല്പിക്കപ്പെടുന്നു.

41. And he came the thirde tyme, and sayde vnto them: Slepe on now, and take youre rest, It is ynough, the houre is come: beholde, ye sonne of man shalbe delyuered in to the handes of synners:

42. എഴുന്നേല്പിന് ; നാം പോക; ഇതാ, എന്നെ കാണിച്ചുകൊടുക്കുന്നവന് അടുത്തിരിക്കുന്നു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

42. aryse, let vs be goynge. Beholde, he is at hande, that betrayeth me.

43. ഉടനെ, അവന് സംസാരിച്ചുകൊണ്ടിരിക്കുമ്പോള് തന്നേ, പന്തിരുവരില് ഒരുത്തനായ യൂദയും അവനോടുകൂടെ മഹാപുരോഹിതന്മാര്, ശാസ്ത്രിമാര്, മൂപ്പന്മാര് എന്നവര് അയച്ച ഒരു പുരുഷാരവും വാളും വടിയുമായി വന്നു.

43. And immediatly whyle he yet spake, came Iudas one of the twolue, and with him a greate multitude, with swerdes and staues from the hye prestes and scrybes and elders.

44. അവനെ കാണിച്ചുകൊടുക്കുന്നവന് ഞാന് ഏവനെ ചുംബിക്കുമോ അവന് തന്നേ ആകുന്നു; അവനെ പിടിച്ചു സൂക്ഷമതയോടെ കൊണ്ടു പോകുവിന് എന്നു അവര്ക്കും ഒരു അടയാളം പറഞ്ഞുകൊടുത്തിരുന്നു.

44. And the traytoure had geuen them a toke, and sayde: Whom so euer I kysse, that same is he, laye handes vpon him, and lede him awaye warely.

45. അവന് വന്നു ഉടനെ അടുത്തു ചെന്നുറബ്ബീ, എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു അവനെ ചുംബിച്ചു.

45. And wha he was come, he wente straight waye vnto him, and sayde vnto him: O master, master, and kyssed him.

46. അവര് അവന്റെമേല് കൈവച്ചു അവനെ പിടിച്ചു.

46. Then layed they their handes vpon him, & toke him.

47. അരികെ നിലക്കുന്നവരില് ഒരുവന് വാള് ഊരി മഹാപുരോഹിതന്റെ ദാസനെ വെട്ടി കാതു അറുത്തു.

47. But one of the that stode by, drew out his swerde, and smote the hye prestes seruaunt, and cut of his eare.

48. യേശു അവരോടുഒരു കള്ളന്റെ നേരെ എന്നപോലെ നിങ്ങള് എന്നെ പിടിപ്പാന് വാളും വടിയുമായി പുറപ്പെട്ടു വന്നുവോ?

48. And Iesus answered, and sayde vnto the: Ye are come forth as it were to a murthurer with swerdes and with staues to take me.

49. ഞാന് ദിവസേന ദൈവലായലയത്തില് ഉപദേശിച്ചുകൊണ്ടു നിങ്ങളോടുകൂടെ ഇരുന്നു; നിങ്ങള് എന്നെ പിടിച്ചില്ല; എങ്കിലും തിരുവെഴുതത്തുകള്ക്കു നിവൃത്തി വരേണ്ടിതിന്നു ഇങ്ങനെ സംഭവിക്കുന്നു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

49. I was daylie with you in the temple, and taught, and ye toke me not. But this is done, that the scrypture maye be fulfilled.

50. ശിഷ്യന്മാര് എല്ലാവരും അവനെ വിട്ടു ഔടിപ്പോയി.

50. And all the disciples forsoke him, and fled.

51. ഒരു ബാല്യക്കാരന് വെറും ശരീരത്തിന്മേല് പുതപ്പു പുതെച്ചും കൊണ്ടു അവനെ അനുഗമിച്ചു; അവര് അവനെ പിടിച്ചു.

51. And there folowed him a yonge ma, which was clothed in lynnen vpon the bare skynne, and the yonge me toke holde of him.

52. അവനോ പുതപ്പു വിട്ടു നഗ്നനായി ഔടിപ്പോയി.

52. But he let the lynnen go, and fled naked from them.

53. അവര് യേശുവിനെ മഹാപുരോഹിതന്റെ അടുക്കല് കൊണ്ടുപോയി. അവന്റെ അടുക്കല് മഹാപുരോഹിതന്മാരും മൂപ്പന്മാരും ശാസ്ത്രിമാരും എല്ലാം വന്നു കൂടിയിരുന്നു.

53. And they led Iesus vnto the hye prest, where all ye hye prestes, and elders and scrybes were come together.

54. പത്രൊസ് മഹാപുരോഹിതന്റെ അരമനെക്കകത്തോളവും അവനെ ദൂരവേ അനുഗമിച്ചു, ഭൃത്യന്മാരോടു ചേര്ന്നു തീ കാഞ്ഞുകൊണ്ടിരുന്നു.

54. As for Peter, he folowed him a farre of in to the hye prestes palace. And he was there, and sat with the seruauntes, and warmed him.

55. മഹാപുരോഹിതന്മാരും ന്യായാധിപസംഘം ഒക്കെയും യേശുവിനെ കൊല്ലേണ്ടതിന്നു അവന്റെ നേരെ സാക്ഷ്യം അന്വേഷിച്ചു കണ്ടില്ലതാനും.

55. But the hye prestes and the whole councell sought wytnesse agaynst Iesus, yt they might brynge him to death, and they founde none.

56. അനേകര് അവന്റെ നേരെ കള്ളസ്സാക്ഷ്യം പറഞ്ഞിട്ടും സ്സാക്ഷ്യം ഒത്തുവന്നില്ല.

56. Many gaue false wytnesse agaynst him, but their wytnesses agreed not together.

57. ചിലര് എഴുന്നേറ്റു അവന്റെ നേരെ

57. And some stode vp, and gaue false wytnes agaynst him, and sayde:

58. ഞാന് കൈപ്പണിയായ ഈ മന്ദിരം പൊളിച്ചു മൂന്നു ദിവസംകൊണ്ടു കൈപ്പണിയല്ലാത്ത മറ്റൊന്നു പണിയും എന്നു ഇവന് പറഞ്ഞതു ഞങ്ങള് കേട്ടു എന്നു കള്ളസ്സാക്ഷ്യം പറഞ്ഞു.

58. We herde him saye: I wil breake downe this temple that is made with hodes, and in thre dayes buylde another not made wt handes.

59. എന്നിട്ടും അവരുടെ സാക്ഷ്യം ഒത്തുവന്നില്ല.

59. But their wytnesse agreed not together.

60. മഹാപുരോഹിതന് നടുവില് നിന്നുകൊണ്ടു യേശുവിനോടുനീ ഒന്നും ഉത്തരം പറയുന്നില്ലയോ? ഇവര് നിന്റെ നേരെ സാക്ഷ്യം പറയുന്നതു എന്തു എന്നു ചോദിച്ചു.

60. And the hye prest stode vp amonge them, and axed Iesus, and sayde: Answerest thou nothinge vnto it, that these testifie agaynst the?

61. അവനോ മിണ്ടാതെയും ഉത്തരം പറയാതെയും ഇരുന്നു. മഹാപുരോഹിതന് പിന്നെയും അവനോടുനീ വന്ദ്യനായവന്റെ പുത്രനായ ക്രിസ്തുവോ എന്നു ചോദിച്ചു.

61. But he helde his tunge, and answered nothinge. The the hye prest axed him agayne, and sayde vnto him: Art thou Christ the sonne of the blessed?

62. ഞാന് ആകുന്നു; മുനഷ്യപുത്രന് സര്വ്വശക്തന്റെ വലത്തുഭാഗത്തു ഇരിക്കുന്നതും ആകാശമേഘങ്ങളോടെ വരുന്നതും നിങ്ങള് കാണും എന്നു യേശു പറഞ്ഞു.

63. Then the hye prest rent his clothes, & sayde: What nede we eny mo wytnesses?

64. ഇനി സാക്ഷികളെകൊണ്ടു നമുക്കു എന്തു ആവശ്യം? ദൈവദൂഷണം നിങ്ങള് കേട്ടുവല്ലോ; നിങ്ങള്ക്കു എന്തു തോന്നുന്നു എന്നു ചോദിച്ചു. അവന് മരണയോഗ്യന് എന്നു എല്ലാവരും വിധിച്ചു.

64. Ye haue herde the blasphemy. What thynke ye? They all codemned him, that he was giltie of death.

66. പത്രൊസ് താഴെ നടുമുറ്റത്തു ഇരിക്കുമ്പോള് മഹാപുരോഹിതന്റെ ബാല്യക്കാരത്തികളില് ഒരുത്തി വന്നു,

66. And Peter was beneth in ye palace. The came one of the wenches of the hye prest:

67. പത്രൊസ് തീ കായുന്നതു കണ്ടു അവനെ നോക്കിനീയും ആ നസറായനായ യേശുവിനോടുകൂടെ ആയിരുന്നു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

67. And wha she sawe Peter warmynge him, she loked vpo hi, and sayde: And thou wast with Iesus of Nazareth also.

68. നീ പറയുന്നതു തിരിയുന്നില്ല, ബോദ്ധ്യമാകുന്നതുമില്ല എന്നിങ്ങനെ അവന് തള്ളിപ്പറഞ്ഞു; പടിപ്പുരയിലേക്കു പുറപ്പെട്ടപ്പോള് കോഴി ക്കുകി.

68. But he denyed, & sayde: I knowe him not, nether can I tell what thou sayest. And he wente out in to the fore courte, and the cock crew.

69. ആ ബാല്യക്കാരത്തി അവനെ പിന്നെയും കണ്ടു സമീപത്തു നിലക്കുന്നവരോടുഇവന് ആ കൂട്ടരില് ഉള്ളവന് തന്നേ എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു തുടങ്ങി. അവന് പിന്നെയും തള്ളിപ്പറഞ്ഞു.

69. And a damsell sawe him, and beganne agayne to saye vnto them that stode by: This is one of them.

70. കുറയനേരം കഴിഞ്ഞിട്ടു അരികെ നിന്നവര് പത്രൊസിനോടുനീ ആ കൂട്ടരില് ഉള്ളവന് സത്യം; ഗലീലക്കാരനല്ലോ എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

70. And he denyed it agayne. And after a litle whyle they yt stode by, sayde agayne vnto him: Of a trueth thou art one of them for thou art a Galilean, and thy speach soundeth euen alike.

71. നിങ്ങള് പറയുന്ന മനുഷ്യനെ ഞാന് അറിയുന്നില്ല എന്നു അവന് പ്രാകുവാനും ആണയിടുവാനും തുടങ്ങി.

71. But he begane to curse and sweare: I knowe not the man, that ye speabe of.

72. ഉടനെ കോഴി രണ്ടാമതും ക്കുകി; കോഴി രണ്ടുവട്ടം ക്കുകുംമുമ്പെ നീ മൂന്നു വട്ടം എന്നെ തള്ളിപ്പറയും എന്നു യേശു തന്നോടു പറഞ്ഞ വാക്കു പത്രൊസ് ഔര്ത്തു അതിനെക്കുറിച്ചു വിചാരിച്ചു കരഞ്ഞു.

72. And the cock crew agayne.Then thought Peter vpon the worde, that Iesus sayde vnto him: Before ye cock crow two tymes, thou shalt denye me thryse. And he beganne to wepe.
