1. ആഴ്ചവട്ടത്തില് ഒന്നാം നാള് മഗ്ദലക്കാരത്തി മറിയ രാവിലെ ഇരുട്ടുള്ളപ്പോള് തന്നേ കല്ലറെക്കല് ചെന്നു കല്ലറവായ്ക്കല് നിന്നു കല്ലു നീങ്ങിയിരിക്കുന്നതു കണ്ടു.

1. Vpon one daye of the Sabbath, came Mary Magdalene early (whe it was yet darcke) vnto the sepulcre, & sawe that the stone was take from the sepulcre.

2. അവള് ഔടി ശിമോന് പത്രൊസിന്റെയും യേശുവിന്നു പ്രിയനായ മറ്റെ ശിഷ്യന്റെയും അടുക്കല് ചെന്നുകര്ത്താവിനെ കല്ലറയില് നിന്നു എടുത്തു കൊണ്ടുപോയി; അവനെ എവിടെ വെച്ചു എന്നു ഞങ്ങള് അറിയുന്നില്ല എന്നു അവരോടു പറഞ്ഞു;

2. Then ranne she, & came to Symon Peter, and to ye other disciple, whom Iesus loued, and sayde vnto them: They haue take awaye the LORDE out of the sepulcre, & we can not tell where they haue layed him.

3. അതുകൊണ്ടു പത്രൊസും മറ്റെ ശിഷ്യനും പുറപ്പെട്ടു കല്ലറെക്കല് ചെന്നു.

3. The wete Peter forth and the other disciple, and came to the sepulcre.

4. ഇരുവരും ഒന്നിച്ചു ഔടി; മറ്റെ ശിഷ്യന് പത്രൊസിനെക്കാള് വേഗത്തില് ഔടി ആദ്യം കല്ലെറക്കല് എത്തി;

4. They rane both together, and that other disciple out rane Peter, and came first to the sepulcre,

5. കുനിഞ്ഞുനോക്കി ശീലകള് കിടക്കുന്നതു കണ്ടു; അകത്തു കടന്നില്ലതാനും.

5. and loked in, and sawe the lynnen clothes layed. But he wete not in.

6. അവന്റെ പിന്നാലെ ശിമോന് പത്രൊസും വന്നു കല്ലറയില് കടന്നു

6. The came Symon Peter after him, and wente in to the sepulcre, & sawe the lynne clothes lye,

7. ശീലകള് കിടക്കുന്നതും അവന്റെ തലയില് ചുറ്റിയിരുന്നറൂമാല് ശീലകളോടുകൂടെ കിടക്കാതെ വേറിട്ടു ഒരിടത്തു ചുരുട്ടി വെച്ചിരിക്കുന്നതും കണ്ടു.

7. and the napkyn that was bounde aboute Iesus heade, not layed with the lynnen clothes, but wrapped together in a place by it self.

8. ആദ്യം കല്ലെറക്കല് എത്തിയ മറ്റെ ശിഷ്യനും അപ്പോള് അകത്തു ചെന്നു കണ്ടു വിശ്വസിച്ചു.

8. The wete i also yt other disciple, which came first to ye sepulcre, & he sawe & beleued:

9. അവന് മരിച്ചവരില് നിന്നു ഉയിര്ത്തെഴുന്നേല്ക്കേണ്ടതാകുന്നു എന്നുള്ള തിരുവെഴുത്തു അവര് അതുവരെ അറിഞ്ഞില്ല.

9. for as yet they knewe not ye scriptures, yt it behoued hi to ryse agayne fro ye deed.

10. അങ്ങനെ ശിഷ്യന്മാര് വീട്ടിലേക്കു മടങ്ങിപ്പോയി.

10. The wete ye disciples againe together.

11. എന്നാല് മറിയ കല്ലെറക്കല് പുറത്തു കരഞ്ഞുകൊണ്ടു നിന്നു. കരയുന്നിടയില് അവള് കല്ലറയില് കുനിഞ്ഞുനോക്കി.

11. As for Mary, she stode before ye sepulcre & wepte without. Now as she wepte she loked in to the sepulcre,

12. യേശുവിന്റെ ശരീരം കിടന്നിരുന്ന ഇടത്തു വെള്ളവസ്ത്രം ധരിച്ച രണ്ടു ദൂതന്മാര് ഒരുത്തന് തലെക്കലും ഒരുത്തന് കാല്ക്കലും ഇരിക്കുന്നതു കണ്ടു.

12. and sawe two angels in whyte garmentes syttinge, ye one at the heade, & the other at ye fete, where they had layed the body of Iesus.

13. അവര് അവളോടുസ്ത്രീയേ, നീ കരയുന്നതു എന്തു എന്നു ചോദിച്ചു. എന്റെ കര്ത്താവിനെ എടുത്തു കൊണ്ടുപോയി; അവനെ എവിടെ വെച്ചു എന്നു ഞാന് അറിയുന്നില്ല എന്നു അവള് അവരോടു പറഞ്ഞു.

13. And they sayde vnto her: Woma, why wepest thou? She saide vnto the: They haue taken awaye my LORDE, & I wote not where they haue layed hi.

14. ഇതു പറഞ്ഞിട്ടു അവള് പിന്നോക്കം തിരിഞ്ഞു, യേശു നിലക്കുന്നതു കണ്ടു; യേശു എന്നു അറിഞ്ഞില്ല താനും.

14. And whan she had sayde yt, she turned her self backe, & sawe Iesus stondinge, & knewe not yt it was Iesus.

15. യേശു അവളോടുസ്ത്രീയേ, നീ കരയുന്നതു എന്തു? ആരെ തിരയുന്നു എന്നു ചോദിച്ചു. അവന് തോട്ടക്കാരന് എന്നു നിരൂപിച്ചിട്ടു അവള്യജമാനനേ, നീ അവനെ എടുത്തുകൊണ്ടു പോയി എങ്കില് അവനെ എവിടെ വെച്ചു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞുതരിക; ഞാന് അവനെ എടുത്തു കൊണ്ടുപൊയ്ക്കൊള്ളാം എന്നു അവനോടു പറഞ്ഞു.

15. Iesus sayde vnto her: Woman, why wepest thou? Whom sekest thou? She thought yt it had bene ye gardener, & sayde vnto him: Syr, yf thou hast borne him hence: then tell me where thou hast layed him? and I wil fetch hi.

16. യേശു അവളോടുമറിയയേ, എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു. അവള് തിരിഞ്ഞു എബ്രായഭാഷയില്റബ്ബൂനി എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു;

16. Iesus sayde vnto her: Mary. Then turned she her aboute, & sayde vnto him: Rabboni, yt is to saye: Master.

17. അതിന്നു ഗുരു എന്നര്ത്ഥം. യേശു അവളോടുഎന്നെ തൊടരുതു; ഞാന് ഇതുവരെ പിതാവിന്റെ അടുക്കല് കയറിപ്പോയില്ല; എങ്കിലും നീ എന്റെ സഹോദരന്മാരുടെ അടുക്കല് ചെന്നുഎന്റെ പിതാവും നിങ്ങളുടെ പിതാവും എന്റെ ദൈവവും നിങ്ങളുടെ ദൈവവുമായവന്റെ അടുക്കല് ഞാന് കയറിപ്പോകുന്നു എന്നു അവരോടു പറക എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

17. Iesus sayde vnto her: Touche me not, for I am not yet ascended vnto my father. But go thou yi waye vnto my brethre & saye vnto the: I ascede vp vnto my father and yor father: to my God, & yor God.

18. മഗ്ദലക്കാരത്തി മറിയ വന്നു താന് കര്ത്താവിനെ കണ്ടു എന്നും അവന് ഇങ്ങനെ തന്നോടു പറഞ്ഞു എന്നും ശിഷ്യന്മാരോടു അറിയിച്ചു.

18. Mary Magdalene came, & tolde ye disciples: I haue sene the LORDE, & soch thinges hath he spoken vnto me.

19. ആഴ്ചവട്ടത്തിന്റെ ഒന്നാം നാള് ആയ ആ ദിവസം, നേരംവൈകിയപ്പോള് ശിഷ്യന്മാര് ഇരുന്ന സ്ഥലത്തു യെഹൂദന്മാരെ പേടിച്ചു വാതില് അടെച്ചിരിക്കെ യേശു വന്നു നടുവില് നിന്നുകൊണ്ടുനിങ്ങള്ക്കു സമാധാനം എന്നു അവരോടു പറഞ്ഞു.

19. The same Sabbath at eue wha ye disciples were gathered together, and the dores were shut for feare of ye Iewes, came Iesus, and stode i ye myddes, & sayde vnto the: Peace be wt you.

20. ഇതു പറഞ്ഞിട്ടു അവന് കയ്യും വിലാപ്പുറവും അവരെ കാണിച്ചു; കര്ത്താവിനെ കണ്ടിട്ടു ശിഷ്യന്മാര് സന്തോഷിച്ചു.

20. And wha he had so sayde, he shewed the his hades & his syde. The were ye disciples glad, yt they sawe ye LORDE.

21. യേശു പിന്നെയും അവരോടുനിങ്ങള്ക്കു സമാധാനം; പിതാവു എന്നെ അയച്ചതുപോലെ ഞാനും നിങ്ങളെ അയക്കുന്നു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

21. The sayde Iesus vnto the agayne: Peace be with you. Like as my father sent me, eue so sede I you.

22. ഇങ്ങനെ പറഞ്ഞശേഷം അവന് അവരുടെമേല് ഊതി അവരോടുപരിശുദ്ധാത്മാവിനെ കൈക്കൊള്വിന് .

22. And whan he had sayde yt, he brethed vpo the, and sayde vnto the: Receaue the holy goost.

23. ആരുടെ പാപങ്ങള് നിങ്ങള് മോചിക്കുന്നവോ അവര്ക്കും മോചിക്കപ്പെട്ടിരിക്കുന്നു; ആരുടെ പാപങ്ങള് നിര്ത്തുന്നുവോ അവര്ക്കും നിര്ത്തിയിരിക്കുന്നു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

23. Whose synnes soeuer ye remytte, they are remytted vnto the: and whose synnes so euer ye retayne, they are retayned.

24. എന്നാല് യേശു വന്നപ്പോള് പന്തിരുവരില് ഒരുവനായ ദിദിമൊസ് എന്ന തോമാസ് അവരോടുകൂടെ ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നില്ല.

24. But Thomas one of the twolue which is called Didimus, was not wt the wha Iesus came.

25. മറ്റേ ശിഷ്യന്മാര് അവനോടുഞങ്ങള് കര്ത്താവിനെ കണ്ടു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞാറെഞാന് അവന്റെ കൈകളില് ആണിപ്പഴുതു കാണുകയും ആണിപ്പഴുതില് വിരല് ഇടുകയും അവന്റെ വിലാപ്പുറത്തു കൈ ഇടുകയും ചെയ്തിട്ടല്ലാതെ വിശ്വസിക്കയില്ല എന്നു അവന് അവരോടു പറഞ്ഞു.

25. The sayde the other disciples vnto him: We haue sene the LORDE. But he sayde vnto the: Excepte I se in his handes the prynte of the nales, and put my hade in to his syde, I wil not beleue.

26. എട്ടു ദിവസം കഴിഞ്ഞിട്ടു ശിഷ്യന്മാര് പിന്നെയും അകത്തു കൂടിയിരിക്കുമ്പോള് തോമാസും ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നു. വാതില് അടെച്ചിരിക്കെ യേശു വന്നു നടുവില് നിന്നുകൊണ്ടുനിങ്ങള്ക്കു സമാധാനം എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

26. And after eight dayes agayne were his disciples with in, & Thomas wt the. The came Iesus (wha ye dores were shutt) & stode in the myddes, & sayde: Peace be wt you.

27. പിന്നെ തോമാസിനോടുനിന്റെ വിരല് ഇങ്ങോട്ടു നീട്ടി എന്റെ കൈകളെ കാണ്ക; നിന്റെ കൈ നീട്ടി എന്റെ വിലാപ്പുറത്തു ഇടുക; അവിശ്വാസി ആകാതെ വിശ്വാസിയായിരിക്ക എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

27. After yt sayde he vnto Thomas: Reach hither yi fynger, and se my handes, and reach hither yi hade, & put it i to my syde, & be not faithlesse, but beleue.

28. തോമാസ് അവനോടുഎന്റെ കര്ത്താവും എന്റെ ദൈവവും ആയുള്ളോവേ എന്നു ഉത്തരം പറഞ്ഞു.

28. Thomas answered, & sayde vnto him: My LORDE, and my God.

29. യേശു അവനോടുനീ എന്നെ കണ്ടതുകൊണ്ടു വിശ്വസിച്ചു; കാണാതെ വിശ്വസിച്ചവര് ഭാഗ്യവാന്മാര് എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

29. Iesus sayde vnto him: Thomas, because thou hast sene me, thou hast beleued. Blessed are they, that se not, and yet beleue.

30. ഈ പുസ്തകത്തില് എഴുതിയിരിക്കുന്നതല്ലാതെ മറ്റു അനേകം അടയാളങ്ങളും യേശു തന്റെ ശിഷ്യന്മാര് കാണ്കെ ചെയ്തു.

30. Many other tokes dyd Iesus before his disciples, which are not wrytte in this boke.

31. എന്നാല് യേശു ദൈവപുത്രനായ ക്രിസ്തുഎന്നു നിങ്ങള് വിശ്വസിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നും വിശ്വസിച്ചിട്ടു അവന്റെ നാമത്തില് നിങ്ങള്ക്കു ജീവന് ഉണ്ടാകേണ്ടതിന്നും ഇതു എഴുതിയിരിക്കുന്നു.

31. But these are wrytte, yt ye shulde beleue, yt Iesus is Christ the sonne of God, & that ye thorow beleue might haue life in his name.
