1. യേശുവോ ഒലീവ് മലയിലേക്കു പോയി.

1. BUT JESUS went to the Mount of Olives.

2. അതികാലത്തു അവന് പിന്നെയും ദൈവാലയത്തില് ചെന്നു; ജനം ഒക്കെയും അവന്റെ അടുക്കല് വന്നു; അവന് ഇരുന്നു അവരെ ഉപദേശിച്ചുകൊണ്ടിരിക്കുമ്പോള്

2. Early in the morning (at dawn), He came back into the temple [court], and the people came to Him in crowds. He sat down and was teaching them,

3. ശാസ്ത്രിമാരും പരീശന്മാരും വ്യഭിചാരത്തില് പിടിച്ചിരുന്ന ഒരു സ്ത്രീയെ കൊണ്ടുവന്നു നടുവില് നിറുത്തി അവനോടു

3. When the scribes and Pharisees brought a woman who had been caught in adultery. They made her stand in the middle of the court and put the case before Him.

4. ഗുരോ, ഈ സ്ത്രീയെ വ്യഭിചാരകര്മ്മത്തില് തന്നേ പിടിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു.

4. Teacher, they said, This woman has been caught in the very act of adultery.

5. ഇങ്ങനെയുള്ളവരെ കല്ലെറിയേണം എന്നു മോശെ ന്യായപ്രമാണത്തില് ഞങ്ങളോടു കല്പിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു; നീ ഇവളെക്കുറിച്ചു എന്തു പറയുന്നു എന്നു ചോദിച്ചു.

5. Now Moses in the Law commanded us that such [women--offenders] shall be stoned to death. But what do You say [to do with her--what is Your sentence]? [Deut. 22:22-24.]

6. ഇതു അവനെ കുറ്റം ചുമത്തുവാന് സംഗതി കിട്ടേണ്ടതിന്നു അവനെ പരീക്ഷിച്ചു ചോദിച്ചതായിരുന്നു. യേശുവോ കുനിഞ്ഞു വിരല്കൊണ്ടു നിലത്തു എഴുതിക്കൊണ്ടിരുന്നു.

6. This they said to try (test) Him, hoping they might find a charge on which to accuse Him. But Jesus stooped down and wrote on the ground with His finger.

7. അവര് അവനോടു ചോദിച്ചുകൊണ്ടിരിക്കുമ്പോള് അവന് നിവിര്ന്നുനിങ്ങളില് പാപമില്ലാത്തവന് അവളെ ഒന്നാമതു കല്ലു എറിയട്ടെ എന്നു അവരോടു പറഞ്ഞു.

7. However, when they persisted with their question, He raised Himself up and said, Let him who is without sin among you be the first to throw a stone at her.

8. പിന്നെയും കുനിഞ്ഞു വിരല്കൊണ്ടു നിലത്തു എഴുതിക്കാണ്ടിരുന്നു.

8. Then He bent down and went on writing on the ground with His finger.

9. അവര് അതു കേട്ടിട്ടു മനസ്സാക്ഷിയുടെ ആക്ഷേപം ഹേതുവായി മൂത്തവരും ഇളയവരും ഔരോരുത്തനായി വിട്ടുപോയി; യേശു മാത്രവും നടുവില് നിലക്കുന്ന സ്ത്രീയും ശേഷിച്ചു.

9. They listened to Him, and then they began going out, conscience-stricken, one by one, from the oldest down to the last one of them, till Jesus was left alone, with the woman standing there before Him in the center of the court.

10. യേശു നിവിര്ന്നു അവളോടുസ്ത്രീയേ, അവര് എവിടെ? നിനക്കു ആരും ശിക്ഷവിധിച്ചില്ലയോ എന്നു ചോദിച്ചതിന്നു

10. When Jesus raised Himself up, He said to her, Woman, where are your accusers? Has no man condemned you?

11. ഇല്ല കര്ത്താവേ, എന്നു അവള് പറഞ്ഞു. ഞാനും നിനക്കു ശിക്ഷ വിധിക്കുന്നില്ലപോക, ഇനി പാപം ചെയ്യരുതു എന്നു യേശു പറഞ്ഞു.)

11. She answered, No one, Lord! And Jesus said, I do not condemn you either. Go on your way and from now on sin no more.

12. യേശു പിന്നെയും അവരോടു സംസാരിച്ചുഞാന് ലോകത്തിന്റെ വെളിച്ചം ആകുന്നു; എന്നെ അനുഗമിക്കുന്നവന് ഇരുളില് നടക്കാതെ ജീവന്റെ വെളിച്ചമുള്ളവന് ആകും എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

12. Once more Jesus addressed the crowd. He said, I am the Light of the world. He who follows Me will not be walking in the dark, but will have the Light which is Life.

13. പരീശന്മാര് അവനോടുനീ നിന്നെക്കുറിച്ചു തന്നേ സാക്ഷ്യം പറയുന്നു; നിന്റെ സാക്ഷ്യം സത്യമല്ല എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

13. Whereupon the Pharisees told Him, You are testifying on Your own behalf; Your testimony is not valid and is worthless.

14. യേശു അവരോടു ഉത്തരം പറഞ്ഞതുഞാന് എന്നെക്കുറിച്ചു തന്നേ സാക്ഷ്യം പറഞ്ഞാലും എന്റെ സാക്ഷ്യം സത്യം ആകുന്നു; ഞാന് എവിടെ നിന്നു വന്നു എന്നും എവിടേക്കു പോകുന്നു എന്നും ഞാന് അറിയുന്നു; നിങ്ങളോ, ഞാന് എവിടെ നിന്നു വന്നു എന്നും എവിടേക്കു പോകുന്നു എന്നും അറിയുന്നില്ല.

14. Jesus answered, Even if I do testify on My own behalf, My testimony is true and reliable and valid, for I know where I came from and where I am going; but you do not know where I come from or where I am going.

15. നിങ്ങള് ജഡപ്രകാരം വിധിക്കുന്നു; ഞാന് ആരെയും വിധിക്കുന്നില്ല.

15. You [set yourselves up to] judge according to the flesh (by what you see). [You condemn by external, human standards.] I do not [set Myself up to] judge or condemn or sentence anyone.

16. ഞാന് വിധിച്ചാലും ഞാന് ഏകനല്ല, ഞാനും എന്നെ അയച്ച പിതാവും കൂടെയാകയാല് എന്റെ വിധി സത്യമാകുന്നു.

16. Yet even if I do judge, My judgment is true [My decision is right]; for I am not alone [in making it], but [there are two of Us] I and the Father, Who sent Me.

17. രണ്ടു മനുഷ്യരുടെ സാക്ഷ്യം സത്യം എന്നു നിങ്ങളുടെ ന്യായപ്രമാണത്തിലും എഴുതിയിരിക്കുന്നുവല്ലോ.

17. In your [own] Law it is written that the testimony (evidence) of two persons is reliable and valid. [Deut. 19:15.]

18. ഞാന് എന്നെക്കുറിച്ചു തന്നേ സാക്ഷ്യം പറയുന്നു; എന്നെ അയച്ച പിതാവും എന്നെക്കുറിച്ചു സാക്ഷ്യം പറയുന്നു.

18. I am One [of the Two] bearing testimony concerning Myself; and My Father, Who sent Me, He also testifies about Me.

19. അവര് അവനോടുനിന്റെ പിതാവു എവിടെ എന്നു ചോദിച്ചതിന്നു യേശുനിങ്ങള് എന്നെ ആകട്ടെ എന്റെ പിതാവിനെ ആകട്ടെ അറിയുന്നില്ല; എന്നെ അറിഞ്ഞു എങ്കില് എന്റെ പിതാവിനെയും അറിയുമായിരുന്നു എന്നു ഉത്തരം പറഞ്ഞു.

19. Then they said to Him, Where is this Father of Yours? Jesus answered, You know My Father as little as you know Me. If you knew Me, you would know My Father also.

20. അവന് ദൈവാലയത്തില് ഉപദേശിക്കുമ്പോള് ഭണ്ഡാരസ്ഥലത്തുവെച്ചു ഈ വചനം പറഞ്ഞു; അവന്റെ നാഴിക അതുവരെയും വന്നിട്ടില്ലായ്കകൊണ്ടു ആരും അവനെ പിടിച്ചില്ല.

20. Jesus said these things in the treasury while He was teaching in the temple [court]; but no one ventured to arrest Him, because His hour had not yet come.

21. അവന് പിന്നെയും അവരോടുഞാന് പോകുന്നു; നിങ്ങള് എന്നെ അന്വേഷിക്കും; നിങ്ങളുടെ പാപത്തില് നിങ്ങള് മരിക്കും; ഞാന് പോകുന്ന ഇടത്തേക്കു നിങ്ങള്ക്കു വരുവാന് കഴികയില്ല എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

21. Therefore He said again to them, I am going away, and you will be looking for Me, and you will die in (under the curse of) your sin. Where I am going, it is not possible for you to come.

22. ഞാന് പോകുന്ന ഇടത്തേക്കു നിങ്ങള്ക്കു വരുവാന് കഴികയില്ല എന്നു അവന് പറഞ്ഞതുകൊണ്ടു പക്ഷേ തന്നെത്താന് കൊല്ലുമോ എന്നു യെഹൂദന്മാര് പറഞ്ഞു.

22. At this the Jews began to ask among themselves, Will He kill Himself? Is that why He says, Where I am going, it is not possible for you to come?

23. അവന് അവരോടുനിങ്ങള് കീഴില്നിന്നുള്ളവര്, ഞാന് മേലില് നിന്നുള്ളവന് ; നിങ്ങള് ഈ ലോകത്തില് നിന്നുള്ളവര്, ഞാന് ഈ ലോകത്തില് നിന്നുള്ളവനല്ല.

23. He said to them, You are from below; I am from above. You are of this world (of this earthly order); I am not of this world.

24. ആകയാല് നിങ്ങളുടെ പാപങ്ങളില് നിങ്ങള് മരിക്കും എന്നു ഞാന് നിങ്ങളോടു പറഞ്ഞു; ഞാന് അങ്ങനെയുള്ളവന് എന്നു വിശ്വസിക്കാഞ്ഞാല് നിങ്ങള് നിങ്ങളുടെ പാപങ്ങളില് മരിക്കും എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

24. That is why I told you that you will die in (under the curse of) your sins; for if you do not believe that I am He [Whom I claim to be--if you do not adhere to, trust in, and rely on Me], you will die in your sins.

25. അവര് അവനോടുനീ ആര് ആകുന്നു എന്നു ചോദിച്ചതിന്നു യേശുആദിമുതല് ഞാന് നിങ്ങളോടു സംസാരിച്ചുപോരുന്നതു തന്നേ.

25. Then they said to Him, Who are You anyway? Jesus replied, [Why do I even speak to you!] I am exactly what I have been telling you from the first.

26. നിങ്ങളെക്കുറിച്ചു വളരെ സംസാരിപ്പാനും വിധിപ്പാനും എനിക്കു ഉണ്ടു; എങ്കിലും എന്നെ അയച്ചവന് സത്യവാന് ആകുന്നു; അവനോടു കേട്ടതു തന്നേ ഞാന് ലോകത്തോടു സംസാരിക്കുന്നു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

26. I have much to say about you and to judge and condemn. But He Who sent Me is true (reliable), and I tell the world [only] the things that I have heard from Him.

27. പിതാവിനെക്കുറിച്ചു ആകുന്നു അവന് തങ്ങളോടു പറഞ്ഞതു എന്നു അവര് ഗ്രഹിച്ചില്ല.

27. They did not perceive (know, understand) that He was speaking to them about the Father.

28. ആകയാല് യേശുനിങ്ങള് മനുഷ്യപുത്രനെ ഉയര്ത്തിയശേഷം ഞാന് തന്നേ അവന് എന്നും ഞാന് സ്വയമായിട്ടു ഒന്നും ചെയ്യാതെ പിതാവു എനിക്കു ഉപദേശിച്ചുതന്നതു പോലെ ഇതു സംസാരിക്കുന്നു എന്നും അറിയും.

28. So Jesus added, When you have lifted up the Son of Man [on the cross], you will realize (know, understand) that I am He [for Whom you look] and that I do nothing of Myself (of My own accord or on My own authority), but I say [exactly] what My Father has taught Me.

29. എന്നെ അയച്ചവന് എന്നോടുകൂടെ ഉണ്ടു; ഞാന് എല്ലായ്പോഴും അവന്നു പ്രസാദമുള്ളതു ചെയ്യുന്നതുകൊണ്ടു അവന് എന്നെ ഏകനായി വിട്ടിട്ടില്ല എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

29. And He Who sent Me is ever with Me; My Father has not left Me alone, for I always do what pleases Him.

30. അവന് ഇങ്ങനെ സംസാരിച്ചു കൊണ്ടിരിക്കുമ്പോള് പലരും അവനില് വിശ്വസിച്ചു.

30. As He said these things, many believed in Him [trusted, relied on, and adhered to Him].

31. തന്നില് വിശ്വസിച്ച യെഹൂദന്മാരോടു യേശുഎന്റെ വചനത്തില് നിലനിലക്കുന്നു എങ്കില് നിങ്ങള് വാസ്തവമായി എന്റെ ശിഷ്യന്മാരായി,

31. So Jesus said to those Jews who had believed in Him, If you abide in My word [hold fast to My teachings and live in accordance with them], you are truly My disciples.

32. സത്യം അറികയും സത്യം നിങ്ങളെ സ്വതന്ത്രന്മാരാക്കുകയും ചെയ്യും എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

32. And you will know the Truth, and the Truth will set you free.

33. അവര് അവനോടുഞങ്ങള് അബ്രാഹാമിന്റെ സന്തതി; ആര്ക്കും ഒരുനാളും ദാസന്മാരായിരുന്നിട്ടില്ല; നിങ്ങള് സ്വതന്ത്രന്മാര് ആകും എന്നു നീ പറയുന്നതു എങ്ങനെ എന്നു ഉത്തരം പറഞ്ഞു.

33. They answered Him, We are Abraham's offspring (descendants) and have never been in bondage to anybody. What do You mean by saying, You will be set free?

34. അതിന്നു യേശുആമേന് , ആമേന് , ഞാന് നിങ്ങളോടു പറയുന്നുപാപം ചെയ്യുന്നവന് എല്ലാം പാപത്തിന്റെ ദാസന് ആകുന്നു.

34. Jesus answered them, I assure you, most solemnly I tell you, Whoever commits and practices sin is the slave of sin.

35. ദാസന് എന്നേക്കും വീട്ടില് വസിക്കുന്നില്ല; പുത്രനോ എന്നേക്കും വസിക്കുന്നു.

35. Now a slave does not remain in a household permanently (forever); the son [of the house] does remain forever.

36. പുത്രന് നിങ്ങള്ക്കു സ്വാതന്ത്ര്യം വരുത്തിയാല് നിങ്ങള് സാക്ഷാല് സ്വതന്ത്രര് ആകും.

36. So if the Son liberates you [makes you free men], then you are really and unquestionably free.

37. നിങ്ങള് അബ്രാഹാമിന്റെ സന്തതി എന്നു ഞാന് അറിയുന്നു; എങ്കിലും എന്റെ വചനത്തിന്നു നിങ്ങളില് ഇടം ഇല്ലായ്കകൊണ്ടു നിങ്ങള് എന്നെ കൊല്ലുവാന് നോക്കുന്നു.

37. [Yes] I know that you are Abraham's offspring; yet you plan to kill Me, because My word has no entrance (makes no progress, does not find any place) in you.

38. പിതാവിന്റെ അടുക്കല് കണ്ടിട്ടുള്ളതു ഞാന് സംസാരിക്കുന്നു; നിങ്ങളുടെ പിതാവിനോടു കേട്ടിട്ടുള്ളതു നിങ്ങള് ചെയ്യുന്നു എന്നു ഉത്തരം പറഞ്ഞു.

38. I tell the things which I have seen and learned at My Father's side, and your actions also reflect what you have heard and learned from your father.

39. അവര് അവനോടുഅബ്രാഹാം ആകുന്നു ഞങ്ങളുടെ പിതാവു എന്നു ഉത്തരം പറഞ്ഞതിന്നു യേശു അവരോടുനിങ്ങള് അബ്രാഹാമിന്റെ മക്കള് എങ്കില് അബ്രാഹാമിന്റെ പ്രവൃത്തികളെ ചെയ്യുമായിരുന്നു.

39. They retorted, Abraham is our father. Jesus said, If you were [truly] Abraham's children, then you would do the works of Abraham [follow his example, do as Abraham did].

40. എന്നാല് ദൈവത്തോടു കേട്ടിട്ടുള്ള സത്യം നിങ്ങളോടു സംസാരിച്ചിരിക്കുന്ന മനുഷ്യനായ എന്നെ നിങ്ങള് കൊല്ലുവാന് നോക്കുന്നു; അങ്ങനെ അബ്രാഹാം ചെയ്തില്ലല്ലോ.

40. But now [instead] you are wanting and seeking to kill Me, a Man Who has told you the truth which I have heard from God. This is not the way Abraham acted.

41. നിങ്ങളുടെ പിതാവിന്റെ പ്രവൃത്തികളെ നിങ്ങള് ചെയ്യുന്നു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു. അവര് അവനോടുഞങ്ങള് പരസംഗത്താല് ജനിച്ചവരല്ല; ഞങ്ങള്ക്കു ഒരു പിതാവേയുള്ളു; ദൈവം തന്നേ എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

41. You are doing the works of your [own] father. They said to Him, We are not illegitimate children and born out of fornication; we have one Father, even God.

42. യേശു അവരോടു പറഞ്ഞതുദൈവം നിങ്ങളുടെ പിതാവു എങ്കില് നിങ്ങള് എന്നെ സ്നേഹിക്കുമായിരുന്നു ഞാന് ദൈവത്തിന്റെ അടുക്കല്നിന്നു വന്നിരിക്കുന്നു; ഞാന് സ്വയമായി വന്നതല്ല, അവന് എന്നെ അയച്ചതാകുന്നു.

42. Jesus said to them, If God were your Father, you would love Me and respect Me and welcome Me gladly, for I proceeded (came forth) from God [out of His very presence]. I did not even come on My own authority or of My own accord (as self-appointed); but He sent Me.

43. എന്റെ ഭാഷണം നിങ്ങള് ഗ്രഹിക്കാത്തതു എന്തു? എന്റെ വചനം കേള്പ്പാന് നിങ്ങള്ക്കു മനസ്സില്ലായ്കകൊണ്ടത്രേ.

43. Why do you misunderstand what I say? It is because you are unable to hear what I am saying. [You cannot bear to listen to My message; your ears are shut to My teaching.]

44. നിങ്ങള് പിശാചെന്ന പിതാവിന്റെ മക്കള്; നിങ്ങളുടെ പിതാവിന്റെ മോഹങ്ങളെ ചെയ്വാനും ഇച്ഛിക്കുന്നു. അവന് ആദിമുതല് കുലപാതകന് ആയിരുന്നു; അവനില് സത്യം ഇല്ലായ്കകൊണ്ടു സത്യത്തില് നിലക്കുന്നതുമില്ല. അവന് ഭോഷകു പറയുമ്പോള് സ്വന്തത്തില് നിന്നു എടുത്തു പറയുന്നു; അവന് ഭോഷ്ക പറയുന്നവനും അതിന്റെ അപ്പനും ആകുന്നു.

44. You are of your father, the devil, and it is your will to practice the lusts and gratify the desires [which are characteristic] of your father. He was a murderer from the beginning and does not stand in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaks a falsehood, he speaks what is natural to him, for he is a liar [himself] and the father of lies and of all that is false.

45. ഞാനോ സത്യം പറയുന്നതുകൊണ്ടു നിങ്ങള് എന്നെ വിശ്വസിക്കുന്നില്ല.

45. But because I speak the truth, you do not believe Me [do not trust Me, do not rely on Me, or adhere to Me].

46. നിങ്ങളില് ആര് എന്നെ പാപത്തെക്കുറിച്ചു ബോധം വരുത്തുന്നു? ഞാന് സത്യം പറയുന്നു എങ്കില് നിങ്ങള് എന്നെ വിശ്വസിക്കാത്തതു എന്തു? ദൈവസന്തതിയായവന് ദൈവവചനം കേള്ക്കുന്നു; നിങ്ങള് ദൈവസന്തതിയല്ലായ്കകൊണ്ടു കേള്ക്കുന്നില്ല.

46. Who of you convicts Me of wrongdoing or finds Me guilty of sin? Then if I speak truth, why do you not believe Me [trust Me, rely on, and adhere to Me]?

47. യെഹൂദന്മാര് അവനോടുനീ ഒരു ശമര്യന് ; നിനക്കു ഭൂതം ഉണ്ടു എന്നു ഞങ്ങള് പറയുന്നതു ശരിയല്ലയോ എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

47. Whoever is of God listens to God. [Those who belong to God hear the words of God.] This is the reason that you do not listen [to those words, to Me]: because you do not belong to God and are not of God or in harmony with Him.

48. അതിന്നു യേശുഎനിക്കു ഭൂതമില്ല; ഞാന് എന്റെ പിതാവിനെ ബഹുമാനിക്ക അത്രേ ചെയ്യുന്നതു; നിങ്ങളോ എന്നെ അപമാനിക്കുന്നു.

48. The Jews answered Him, Are we not right when we say You are a Samaritan and that You have a demon [that You are under the power of an evil spirit]?

49. ഞാന് എന്റെ മഹത്വം അന്വേഷിക്കുന്നില്ല; അന്വേഷിക്കയും വിധിക്കയും ചെയ്യുന്നവന് ഒരുവന് ഉണ്ടു.

49. Jesus answered, I am not possessed by a demon. On the contrary, I honor and reverence My Father and you dishonor (despise, vilify, and scorn) Me.

50. ആമേന് , ആമേന് ഞാന് നിങ്ങളോടു പറയുന്നുഎന്റെ വചനം പ്രമാണിക്കുന്നവന് ഒരുനാളും മരണം കാണ്കയില്ല എന്നു ഉത്തരം പറഞ്ഞു.

50. However, I am not in search of honor for Myself. [I do not seek and am not aiming for My own glory.] There is One Who [looks after that; He] seeks [My glory], and He is the Judge.

51. യെഹൂദന്മാര് അവനോടുനിനക്കു ഭൂതം ഉണ്ടു എന്നു ഇപ്പോള് ഞങ്ങള്ക്കു മനസ്സിലായി; അബ്രാഹാമും പ്രവാചകന്മാരും മരിച്ചു; നീയോ എന്റെ വചനം പ്രമാണിക്കുന്നവന് ഒരുനാളും മരണം ആസ്വദിക്കയില്ല എന്നു പറയുന്നു.

51. I assure you, most solemnly I tell you, if anyone observes My teaching [lives in accordance with My message, keeps My word], he will by no means ever see and experience death.

52. ഞങ്ങളുടെ പിതാവായ അബ്രാഹാമിനെക്കാള് നീ വലിയവനോ? അവന് മരിച്ചു, പ്രവാചകന്മാരും മരിച്ചു; നിന്നെത്തന്നെ നീ ആര് ആക്കുന്നു എന്നു ചോദിച്ചതിന്നു യേശു

52. The Jews said to Him, Now we know that You are under the power of a demon (insane). Abraham died, and also the prophets, yet You say, If a man keeps My word, he will never taste of death into all eternity.

53. ഞാന് എന്നെത്തന്നെമഹത്വപ്പെടുത്തിയാല് എന്റെ മഹത്വം ഏതുമില്ല; എന്നെ മഹത്വപ്പെടുത്തുന്നതു എന്റെ പിതാവു ആകുന്നു; അവനെ നിങ്ങളുടെ ദൈവം എന്നു നിങ്ങള് പറയുന്നു.

53. Are You greater than our father Abraham? He died, and all the prophets died! Who do You make Yourself out to be?

54. എങ്കിലും നിങ്ങള് അവനെ അറിയുന്നില്ല; ഞാനോ അവനെ അറിയുന്നു; അവനെ അറിയുന്നില്ല എന്നു ഞാന് പറഞ്ഞാല് നിങ്ങളെപ്പോലെ ഭോഷകുപറയുന്നവന് ആകും; എന്നാല് ഞാന് അവനെ അറിയുന്നു; അവന്റെ വചനം പ്രമാണിക്കയും ചെയ്യുന്നു.

54. Jesus answered, If I were to glorify Myself (magnify, praise, and honor Myself), I would have no real glory, for My glory would be nothing and worthless. [My honor must come to Me from My Father.] It is My Father Who glorifies Me [Who extols Me, magnifies, and praises Me], of Whom you say that He is your God.

55. നിങ്ങളുടെ പിതാവായ അബ്രാഹാം എന്റെ ദിവസം കാണും എന്നുള്ളതുകൊണ്ടു ഉല്ലസിച്ചു; അവന് കണ്ടു സന്തോഷിച്ചുമിരിക്കുന്നു എന്നു ഉത്തരം പറഞ്ഞു.

55. Yet you do not know Him or recognize Him and are not acquainted with Him, but I know Him. If I should say that I do not know Him, I would be a liar like you. But I know Him and keep His word [obey His teachings, am faithful to His message].

56. യെഹൂദന്മാര് അവനോടുനിനക്കു അമ്പതു വയസ്സു ആയിട്ടില്ല; നീ അബ്രാഹാമിനെ കണ്ടിട്ടുണ്ടോ എന്നു ചോദിച്ചു.

56. Your forefather Abraham was extremely happy at the hope and prospect of seeing My day (My incarnation); and he did see it and was delighted. [Heb. 11:13.]

57. യേശു അവരോടുആമേന് , ആമേന് , ഞാന് നിങ്ങളോടു പറയുന്നുഅബ്രാഹാം ജനിച്ചതിന്നു മുമ്പേ ഞാന് ഉണ്ടു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

57. Then the Jews said to Him, You are not yet fifty years old, and have You seen Abraham?

58. അപ്പോള് അവര് അവനെ എറിവാന് കല്ലു എടുത്തു; യേശുവോ മറഞ്ഞു ദൈവാലയം വിട്ടു പോയി.

58. Jesus said to them, 'Most positively, I say to you*, before Abraham came to be,_I_ am!'
