1. അവന് കടന്നുപോകുമ്പോള് പിറവിയിലെ കുരുടനായോരു മനുഷ്യനെ കണ്ടു.

1. And as Iesus passed by, he saw a man whiche was blynde fre?his birth:

2. അവന്റെ ശിഷ്യന്മാര് അവനോടുറബ്ബീ, ഇവന് കുരുടനായി പിറക്കത്തക്കവണ്ണം ആര് പാപം ചെയ്തു? ഇവനോ ഇവന്റെ അമ്മയപ്പന്മാരോ എന്നു ചോദിച്ചു.

2. And his disciples asked hym, saying: Maister, who did sinne, this man, or his father and mother, that he was borne blynde?

3. അതിന്നു യേശുഅവന് എങ്കിലും അവന്റെ അമ്മയപ്പന്മാരെങ്കിലും പാപം ചെയ്തിട്ടല്ല, ദൈവപ്രവൃത്തി അവങ്കല് വെളിവാകേണ്ടതിന്നത്രേ.

3. Iesus aunswered, Neither hath this man sinned, nor yet his father & mother: but that the workes of God shoulde be shewed in hym.

4. എന്നെ അയച്ചവന്റെ പ്രവൃത്തി പകല് ഉള്ളേടത്തോളം നാം ചെയ്യേണ്ടതാകുന്നു; ആര്ക്കും പ്രവര്ത്തിച്ചുകൂടാത്ത രാത്രി വരുന്നു;

4. I must worke the workes of him that sent me, whyle it is daye. The nyght commeth when no man can worke.

5. ഞാന് ലോകത്തില് ഇരിക്കുമ്പോള് ലോകത്തിന്റെ വെളിച്ചം ആകുന്നു എന്നു ഉത്തരം പറഞ്ഞു.
യെശയ്യാ 49:6

5. As long as I am in the world, I am the lyght of the worlde.

6. ഇങ്ങനെ പറഞ്ഞിട്ടു അവന് നിലത്തു തുപ്പി തുപ്പല്കൊണ്ടു ചേറുണ്ടാക്കി ചേറു അവന്റെ കണ്ണിന്മേല് പൂശി

6. Assoone as he had thus spoke, he spat on the grounde, and made claye of the spittle, and he annoynted with the claye the eyes of the blynde,

7. നീ ചെന്നു ശിലോഹാംകുളത്തില് കഴുകുക എന്നു അവനോടു പറഞ്ഞു; ശിലോഹാം എന്നതിന്നു അയക്കപ്പെട്ടവന് എന്നര്ത്ഥം. അവന് പോയി കഴുകി, കണ്ണു കാണുന്നവനായി മടങ്ങിവന്നു.

7. And sayde vnto hym: Go, washe thee in the poole of Siloe, whiche by interpretation, is [as much to say, as] sent. He went his way therefore, & washed, and came agayne, seyng.

8. അയല്ക്കാരും അവനെ മുമ്പെ ഇരക്കുന്നവനായി കണ്ടവരുംഇവനല്ലയോ അവിടെ ഇരുന്നു ഭിക്ഷ യാചിച്ചവന് എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

8. So, the neyghbours, and they that hadde seene hym before when he was blynde, sayde: Is not this he that sate and begged?

9. അവന് തന്നേഎന്നു ചിലരും അല്ല, അവനെപ്പോലെയുള്ളവന് എന്നു മറ്റുചിലരും പറഞ്ഞു; ഞാന് തന്നേ എന്നു അവന് പറഞ്ഞു.

9. Some sayde, this is he: Other sayde, he is lyke hym. He hym selfe sayde, I am [euen] he.

10. അവര് അവനോടുനിന്റെ കണ്ണു തുറന്നതു എങ്ങനെ എന്നു ചോദിച്ചതിന്നു അവന്

10. Therfore sayde they vnto him: Howe are thyne eyes opened?

11. യേശു എന്നു പേരുള്ള മനുഷ്യന് ചേറുണ്ടാക്കി എന്റെ കണ്ണിന്മേല് പൂശിശിലോഹാംകുളത്തില് ചെന്നു കഴുകുക എന്നു എന്നോടു പറഞ്ഞു; ഞാന് പോയി കഴുകി കാഴ്ച പ്രാപിച്ചു എന്നു ഉത്തരം പറഞ്ഞു.

11. He aunswered and sayde: The man that is called Iesus made claye, and annoynted myne eyes, and sayde vnto me, go to the poole Siloe and washe: And when I went and washed, I receaued [my] syght.

12. അവന് എവിടെ എന്നു അവര് അവനോടു ചോദിച്ചതിന്നുഞാന് അറിയുന്നില്ല എന്നു അവന് പറഞ്ഞു.

12. Then sayde they vnto hym, where is he? He sayde, I can not tell.

13. കുരുടനായിരുന്നവനെ അവര് പരീശന്മാരുടെ അടുക്കല് കൊണ്ടുപോയി.

13. They brought to the pharisees, hym that a litle before was blynde.

14. യേശു ചേറുണ്ടാക്കി അവന്റെ കണ്ണു തുറന്നതു ശബ്ബത്ത് നാളില് ആയിരുന്നു.

14. And it was the Sabboth day when Iesus made ye claye, & opened his eyes.

15. അവന് കാഴ്ച പ്രാപിച്ചതു എങ്ങനെ എന്നു പരീശന്മാരും അവനോടു ചോദിച്ചു. അവന് അവരോടുഅവന് എന്റെ കണ്ണിന്മേല് ചേറു തേച്ചു ഞാന് കഴുകി; കാഴ്ച പ്രാപിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

15. Then againe the pharisees also asked hym, howe he had receaued his syght. He sayde vnto them: He put claye vpon myne eyes, and I washed, and do see.

16. പരീശന്മാരില് ചിലര്ഈ മനുഷ്യന് ശബ്ബത്ത് പ്രമാണിക്കായ്കകൊണ്ടു ദൈവത്തിന്റെ അടുക്കല്നിന്നു വന്നവനല്ല എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു. മറ്റു ചിലര്പാപിയായോരു മനുഷ്യന്നു ഇങ്ങനെയുള്ള അടയാളങ്ങള് ചെയ്വാന് എങ്ങനെ കഴിയും എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു; അങ്ങനെ അവരുടെ ഇടയില് ഒരു ഭിന്നത ഉണ്ടായി.

16. Therfore sayde some of the pharisees, this man is not of God, because he kepeth not the Sabboth day. Other said: How can a man that is a sinner do such miracles? And there was a stryfe among them.

17. അവര് പിന്നെയും കുരുടനോടുനിന്റെ കണ്ണു തുറന്നതുകൊണ്ടു നീ അവനെക്കുറിച്ചു എന്തു പറയുന്നു എന്നു ചോദിച്ചതിന്നുഅവന് ഒരു പ്രവാചകന് എന്നു അവന് പറഞ്ഞു.

17. They spake vnto the blynde man againe: What sayest thou of him, because he hath opened thyne eyes? He sayde, he is a prophete.

18. കാഴ്ചപ്രാപിച്ചവന്റെ അമ്മയപ്പന്മാരെ വിളിച്ചു ചോദിക്കുവോളം അവന് കുരുടനായിരുന്നു എന്നും കാഴ്ച പ്രാപിച്ചു എന്നും യെഹൂദന്മാര് വിശ്വസിച്ചില്ല.

18. But the Iewes dyd not beleue the man, howe that he had ben blynde, and receaued his syght, vntyll they called the father and mother of hym that had receaued his syght:

19. കുരുടനായി ജനിച്ചു എന്നു നിങ്ങള് പറയുന്ന നിങ്ങളുടെ മകന് ഇവന് തന്നെയോ? എന്നാല് അവന്നു ഇപ്പോള് കണ്ണു കാണുന്നതു എങ്ങനെ എന്നു അവര് അവരോടു ചോദിച്ചു.

19. And they asked them, saying: Is this your sonne, whom ye saye was borne blynde? Howe doeth he nowe see then?

20. അവന്റെ അമ്മയപ്പന്മാര്ഇവന് ഞങ്ങളുടെ മകന് എന്നും കുരുടനായി ജനിച്ചവന് എന്നും ഞങ്ങള് അറിയുന്നു.

20. His father & mother aunswered them, and sayde: We knowe that this is our sonne, and that he was borne blynde:

21. എന്നാല് കണ്ണു കാണുന്നതു എങ്ങനെ എന്നു അറിയുന്നില്ല; അവന്റെ കണ്ണു ആര് തുറന്നു എന്നും അറിയുന്നില്ല; അവനോടു ചോദിപ്പിന് ; അവന്നു പ്രായം ഉണ്ടല്ലോ അവന് തന്നേ പറയും എന്നു ഉത്തരം പറഞ്ഞു.

21. But by what meanes he now seeth, we can not tell: Or who hath opened his eyes, can not we tell. He is olde inough, aske him, let him aunswere for himselfe.

22. യെഹൂദന്മാരെ ഭയപ്പെടുകകൊണ്ടത്രേ അവന്റെ അമ്മയപ്പന്മാര് ഇങ്ങനെ പറഞ്ഞതു; അവനെ ക്രിസ്തു എന്നു ഏറ്റുപറയുന്നവന് പള്ളിഭ്രഷ്ടനാകേണം എന്നു യെഹൂദന്മാര് തമ്മില് പറഞ്ഞൊത്തിരുന്നു

22. Such wordes spake his father & mother, because they feared the Iewes: For the Iewes had decreed alredy, that yf any man dyd confesse that he was Christe, he shoulde be excommunicate out of the synagogue.

23. അതുകൊണ്ടത്രേ അവന്റെ അമ്മയപ്പന്മാര്അവന്നു പ്രായം ഉണ്ടല്ലോ; അവനോടു ചോദിപ്പിന് എന്നു പറഞ്ഞതു.

23. Therfore sayde his father & mother: he is olde inough, aske hym.

24. കുരുടനായിരുന്ന മനുഷ്യനെ അവര് രണ്ടാമതും വിളിച്ചുദൈവത്തിന്നു മഹത്വം കൊടുക്ക; ആ മനുഷ്യന് പാപി എന്നു ഞങ്ങള് അറിയുന്നു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

24. Then agayne called they the man that was blynde, and sayde vnto hym: Geue God the prayse, we knowe that this man is a sinner.

25. അതിന്നു അവന് അവന് പാപിയോ അല്ലയോ എന്നു ഞാന് അറിയുന്നില്ല; ഒന്നു അറിയുന്നു; ഞാന് കുരുടനായിരുന്നു, ഇപ്പോള് കണ്ണു കാണുന്നു എന്നു ഉത്തരം പറഞ്ഞു.

25. He aunswered, and sayde: Whether he be a sinner or no, I can not tell: One thyng I am sure of, that wheras I was blynde, nowe I see.

26. അവര് അവനോടുഅവന് നിനക്കു എന്തു ചെയ്തു? നിന്റെ കണ്ണു എങ്ങനെ തുറന്നു എന്നു ചോദിച്ചു.

26. Then sayde they to hym agayne: What dyd he to thee? Howe opened he thyne eyes?

27. അതിന്നു അവന് ഞാന് നിങ്ങളോടു പറഞ്ഞുവല്ലോ; നിങ്ങള് ശ്രദ്ധിച്ചില്ല; വീണ്ടും കേള്പ്പാന് ഇച്ഛിക്കുന്നതു എന്തു? നിങ്ങള്ക്കും അവന്റെ ശിഷ്യന്മാര് ആകുവാന് മനസ്സുണ്ടോ എന്നു ഉത്തരം പറഞ്ഞു.

27. He aunswered them: I tolde you yer whyle, and ye dyd not heare. Wherfore woulde ye heare it agayne? Wyll ye also be his disciples?

28. അപ്പോള് അവര് അവനെ ശകാരിച്ചുനീ അവന്റെ ശിഷ്യന് ; ഞങ്ങള് മോശെയുടെ ശിഷ്യന്മാര്.

28. Then rayted they hym, and sayde, Be thou his disciple: We are Moyses disciples.

29. മോശെയോടു ദൈവം സംസാരിച്ചു എന്നു ഞങ്ങള് അറിയുന്നു; ഇവനോ എവിടെനിന്നു എന്നു അറിയുന്നില്ല എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

29. We are sure, that God spake vnto Moyses: As for this felowe, we knowe not from whence he is.

30. ആ മനുഷ്യന് അവരോടുഎന്റെ കണ്ണു തുറന്നിട്ടും അവന് എവിടെനിന്നു എന്നു നിങ്ങള് അറിയാത്തതു ആശ്ചയ്യം.

30. The man aunswered, and sayde vnto them: this is a marueylous thyng, that ye wote not from whence he is, and yet he hath opened myne eyes.

31. പാപികളുടെ പ്രാര്ത്ഥന ദൈവം കേള്ക്കുന്നില്ല എന്നും ദൈവഭക്തനായിരുന്നു അവന്റെ ഇഷ്ടം ചെയ്യുന്നവന്റെ പ്രാര്ത്ഥന കേള്ക്കുന്നു എന്നും നാം അറിയുന്നു.

31. For we be sure, that God heareth not sinners: But yf any man be a worshipper of God, and obedient vnto his wyll, hym heareth he.

32. കുരുടനായി പിറന്നവന്റെ കണ്ണു ആരെങ്കിലും തുറന്നപ്രകാരം ലോകം ഉണ്ടായതുമുതല് കേട്ടിട്ടില്ല.

32. Sence the worlde began, was it not hearde, that any man opened the eyes of one that was borne blynde.

33. ദൈവത്തിന്റെ അടുക്കല്നിന്നു വന്നവന് അല്ലെങ്കില് അവന്നു ഒന്നും ചെയ്വാന് കഴികയില്ല എന്നു ഉത്തരം പറഞ്ഞു.

33. If this man were not of God, he coulde haue done nothyng.

34. അവര് അവനോടുനീ മുഴുവനും പാപത്തില് പിറന്നവന് ; നീ ഞങ്ങളെ ഉപദേശിക്കുന്നുവോ എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു അവനെ പുറത്താക്കിക്കളഞ്ഞു.

34. They aunswered, & sayde vnto hym: Thou art altogether borne in sinne, and doest thou teache vs? And they cast hym out.

35. അവനെ പുറത്താക്കി എന്നു യേശു കേട്ടു; അവനെ കണ്ടപ്പോള്നീ ദൈവപുത്രനില് വിശ്വസിക്കുന്നുവോ എന്നു ചോദിച്ചു.

35. Iesus hearde that they had excommunicate hym, & when he had founde hym, he sayde vnto hym: Doest thou beleue on the sonne of God?

36. അതിന്നു അവന് യജമാനനേ, അവന് ആര് ആകുന്നു? ഞാന് അവനില് വിശ്വസിക്കാം എന്നു ഉത്തരം പറഞ്ഞു.

36. He aunswered and sayde: Who is he Lorde, that I myght beleue on hym?

37. യേശു അവനോടുനീ അവനെ കണ്ടിട്ടുണ്ടു; നിന്നോടു സംസാരിക്കുന്നവന് അവന് തന്നേ എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

37. And Iesus sayde vnto hym: Thou hast both seene hym, and it is he that talketh with thee.

38. ഉടനെ അവന് കര്ത്താവേ, ഞാന് വിശ്വസിക്കുന്നു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു അവനെ നമസ്കരിച്ചു.

38. And he sayde, Lorde, I beleue: And he worshipped hym.

39. കാണാത്തവര് കാണ്മാനും കാണുന്നവര് കുരുടര് ആവാനും ഇങ്ങനെ ന്യായവിധിക്കായി ഞാന് ഇഹലോകത്തില് വന്നു എന്നു യേശു പറഞ്ഞു.

39. And Iesus sayde vnto hym: I am come vnto iudgement into this worlde, that they which see not, myght see: and that they which see, myght be made blynde.

40. അവനോടുകൂടെയുള്ള ചില പരീശന്മാര് ഇതു കേട്ടിട്ടു ഞങ്ങളും കുരുടരോ എന്നു ചോദിച്ചു.

40. And some of the pharisees which were with hym, hearde these wordes, & sayde vnto hym: Are we blynde also?

41. യേശു അവരോടു നിങ്ങള് കുരുടര് ആയിരുന്നു എങ്കില് നിങ്ങള്ക്കു പാപം ഇല്ലായിരുന്നു; എന്നാല്ഞങ്ങള് കാണുന്നു എന്നു നിങ്ങള് പറയുന്നതുകൊണ്ടു നിങ്ങളുടെ പാപം നിലക്കുന്നു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

41. Iesus sayde vnto them, Yf ye were blynde, ye shoulde haue no sinne: But nowe ye say, we see, therfore your sinne remayneth.
