1. സഹോദരന്മാരേ, ആത്മികവരങ്ങളെക്കുറിച്ചു നിങ്ങള്ക്കു അറിവില്ലാതിരിക്കരുതു എന്നു ഞാന് ആഗ്രഹിക്കുന്നു.

1. Now about spiritual gifts, brothers, I do not want you to be ignorant.

2. നിങ്ങള് ജാതികള് ആയിരുന്നപ്പോള് നിങ്ങളെ നടത്തിയതുപോലെ ഊമവിഗ്രഹങ്ങളുടെ അടുക്കല് പോക പതിവായിരുന്നു എന്നു നിങ്ങള് അറിയുന്നുവല്ലോ.

2. You know that when you were pagans, somehow or other you were influenced and led astray to mute idols.

3. ആകയാല് ദൈവാത്മാവില് സംസാരിക്കുന്നവന് ആരും യേശു ശപിക്കപ്പെട്ടവന് എന്നു പറകയില്ല; പരിശുദ്ധാത്മാവില് അല്ലാതെ യേശു കര്ത്താവു എന്നു പറവാന് ആര്ക്കും കഴികയുമില്ല എന്നു ഞാന് നിങ്ങളെ ഗ്രഹിപ്പിക്കുന്നു.

3. Therefore I tell you that no one who is speaking by the Spirit of God says, 'Jesus be cursed,' and no one can say, 'Jesus is Lord,' except by the Holy Spirit.

4. എന്നാല് കൃപാവരങ്ങളില് വ്യത്യാസം ഉണ്ടു; ആത്മാവു ഒന്നത്രേ.

4. There are different kinds of gifts, but the same Spirit.

5. ശുശ്രൂഷകളില് വ്യത്യാസം ഉണ്ടു; കര്ത്താവു ഒരുവന് .

5. There are different kinds of service, but the same Lord.

6. വീര്യ്യപ്രവൃത്തികളില് വ്യത്യാസം ഉണ്ടു; എങ്കിലും എല്ലാവരിലും എല്ലാം പ്രവര്ത്തിക്കുന്ന ദൈവം ഒരുവന് തന്നേ.

6. There are different kinds of working, but the same God works all of them in all men.

7. എന്നാല് ഔരോരുത്തന്നു ആത്മാവിന്റെ പ്രകാശനം പൊതുപ്രയോജനത്തിന്നായി നല്കപ്പെടുന്നു.

7. Now to each one the manifestation of the Spirit is given for the common good.

8. ഒരുത്തന്നു ആത്മാവിനാല് ജ്ഞാനത്തിന്റെ വചനവും മറ്റൊരുത്തന്നു അതേ ആത്മാവിനാല് പരിജ്ഞാനത്തിന്റെ വചനവും നല്കപ്പെടുന്നു;

8. To one there is given through the Spirit the message of wisdom, to another the message of knowledge by means of the same Spirit,

9. വേറൊരുത്തന്നു അതേ ആത്മാവിനാല് വിശ്വാസം, മറ്റൊരുവന്നു അതേ ആത്മാവിനാല് രോഗശാന്തികളുടെ വരം;

9. to another faith by the same Spirit, to another gifts of healing by that one Spirit,

10. മറ്റൊരുവന്നു വീര്യ്യപ്രവൃത്തികള്; മറ്റൊരുവന്നു പ്രവചനം; മറ്റൊരുവന്നു ആത്മാക്കളുടെ വിവേചനം; വേറൊരുവന്നു പലവിധ ഭാഷകള്; മറ്റൊരുവന്നു ഭാഷകളുടെ വ്യാഖ്യാനം.

10. to another miraculous powers, to another prophecy, to another distinguishing between spirits, to another speaking in different kinds of tongues, and to still another the interpretation of tongues.

11. എന്നാല് ഇതു എല്ലാം പ്രവര്ത്തിക്കുന്നതു താന് ഇച്ഛിക്കുംപോലെ അവനവന്നു അതതു വരം പകുത്തുകൊടുക്കുന്ന ഒരേ ആത്മാവു തന്നേ.

11. All these are the work of one and the same Spirit, and he gives them to each one, just as he determines.

12. ശരീരം ഒന്നും, അതിന്നു അവയവം പലതും ശരീരത്തിന്റെ അവയവം പലതായിരിക്കെ എല്ലാം ഒരു ശരീരവും ആയിരിക്കുന്നതുപോലെ ആകുന്നു ക്രിസ്തുവും.

12. The body is a unit, though it is made up of many parts; and though all its parts are many, they form one body. So it is with Christ.

13. യെഹൂദന്മാരോ യവനന്മാരോ ദാസന്മാരോ സ്വതന്ത്രരോ നാം എല്ലാവരും ഏകശരീരമാകുമാറു ഒരേ ആത്മാവില് സ്നാനം ഏറ്റും എല്ലാവരും ഒരേ ആത്മാവിനെ പാനംചെയ്തുമിരിക്കുന്നു.

13. For we were all baptized by one Spirit into one body-- whether Jews or Greeks, slave or free-- and we were all given the one Spirit to drink.

14. ശരീരം ഒരു അവയവമല്ല പലതത്രേ.

14. Now the body is not made up of one part but of many.

15. ഞാന് കൈ അല്ലായ്കകൊണ്ടു ശരീരത്തിലുള്ളതല്ല എന്നു കാല് പറയുന്നു എങ്കില് അതിനാല് അതു ശരീരത്തിലുള്ളതല്ല എന്നു വരികയില്ല.

15. If the foot should say, 'Because I am not a hand, I do not belong to the body,' it would not for that reason cease to be part of the body.

16. ഞാന് കണ്ണു അല്ലായ്കകൊണ്ടു ശരീരത്തിലുള്ളതല്ല എന്നു ചെവി പറയുന്നു എങ്കില് അതിനാല് അതു ശരീരത്തിലുള്ളതല്ല എന്നും വരികയില്ല.

16. And if the ear should say, 'Because I am not an eye, I do not belong to the body,' it would not for that reason cease to be part of the body.

17. ശരീരം മുഴുവന് കണ്ണായാല് ശ്രവണം എവിടെ? മുഴുവന് ശ്രവണം ആയാല് ഘ്രാണം എവിടെ?

17. If the whole body were an eye, where would the sense of hearing be? If the whole body were an ear, where would the sense of smell be?

18. ദൈവമോ തന്റെ ഇഷ്ടപ്രകാരം അവയവങ്ങളെ ശരീരത്തില് വെവ്വേറായി വെച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു.

18. But in fact God has arranged the parts in the body, every one of them, just as he wanted them to be.

19. സകലവും ഒരു അവയവം എങ്കില് ശരീരം എവിടെ?

19. If they were all one part, where would the body be?

20. എന്നാല് അവയവങ്ങള് പലതെങ്കിലും ശരീരം ഒന്നു തന്നേ.

20. As it is, there are many parts, but one body.

21. കണ്ണിന്നു കയ്യോടുനിന്നെക്കൊണ്ടു എനിക്കു ആവശ്യമില്ല എന്നും, തലെക്കു കാലുകളോടുനിങ്ങളെക്കൊണ്ടു എനിക്കു ആവശ്യമില്ല എന്നുംപറഞ്ഞുകൂടാ.

21. The eye cannot say to the hand, 'I don't need you!' And the head cannot say to the feet, 'I don't need you!'

22. ശരീരത്തില് ബലം കുറഞ്ഞവ എന്നു തോന്നുന്ന അവയവങ്ങള് തന്നേ ആവശ്യമുള്ളവയാകുന്നു.

22. On the contrary, those parts of the body that seem to be weaker are indispensable,

23. ശരീരത്തില് മാനം കുറഞ്ഞവ എന്നു തോന്നുന്നവേക്കു നാം അധികം മാനം അണിയിക്കുന്നു; നമ്മില് അഴകു കുറഞ്ഞവേക്കു അധികം അഴകു വരുത്തുന്നു;

23. and the parts that we think are less honorable we treat with special honor. And the parts that are unpresentable are treated with special modesty,

24. നമ്മില് അഴകുള്ള അവയവങ്ങള്ക്കു അതു ആവശ്യമില്ലല്ലോ.

24. while our presentable parts need no special treatment. But God has combined the members of the body and has given greater honor to the parts that lacked it,

25. ശരീരത്തില് ഭിന്നത വരാതെ അവയവങ്ങള് അന്യോന്യം ഒരുപോലെ കരുതേണ്ടതിന്നായി ദൈവം കുറവുള്ളതിന്നു അധികം മാനം കൊടുത്തുകൊണ്ടു ശരീരത്തെ കൂട്ടിച്ചേര്ത്തിരിക്കുന്നു.

25. so that there should be no division in the body, but that its parts should have equal concern for each other.

26. അതിനാല് ഒരുഅവയവം കഷ്ടം അനുഭവിക്കുന്നു എങ്കില് അവയവങ്ങള് ഒക്കെയും കൂടെ കഷ്ടം അനുഭവിക്കുന്നു; ഒരു അവയവത്തിന്നു മാനം വന്നാല് അവയവങ്ങള് ഒക്കെയുംകൂടെ സന്തോഷിക്കുന്നു.

26. If one part suffers, every part suffers with it; if one part is honored, every part rejoices with it.

27. എന്നാല് നിങ്ങള് ക്രിസ്തുവിന്റെ ശരീരവും ഔരോരുത്തന് വെവ്വേറായി അവയവങ്ങളും ആകുന്നു.

27. Now you are the body of Christ, and each one of you is a part of it.

28. ദൈവം സഭയില് ഒന്നാമതു അപ്പൊസ്തലന്മാര്, രണ്ടാമതു പ്രവാചകന്മാര് മൂന്നാമതു ഉപദേഷ്ടാക്കന്മാര് ഇങ്ങനെ ഔരോരുത്തരെ നിയമിക്കയും പിന്നെ വീര്യ്യപ്രവൃത്തികള്, രോഗശാന്തികളുടെ വരം, സഹായം ചെയ്വാനുള്ള വരം, പരിപാലനവരം, വിവിധഭാഷാവരം എന്നിവ നലകുകയും ചെയ്തു.

28. And in the church God has appointed first of all apostles, second prophets, third teachers, then workers of miracles, also those having gifts of healing, those able to help others, those with gifts of administration, and those speaking in different kinds of tongues.

29. എല്ലാവരും അപ്പൊസ്തലന്മാരോ? എല്ലാവരും പ്രവാചകന്മാരോ? എല്ലാവരും ഉപദേഷ്ടാക്കന്മാരോ? എല്ലാവരും വീര്യ്യപ്രവൃത്തികള് ചെയ്യുന്നവരോ?

29. Are all apostles? Are all prophets? Are all teachers? Do all work miracles?

30. എല്ലാവര്ക്കും രോഗശാന്തിക്കുള്ള വരംഉണ്ടോ? എല്ലാവരും അന്യഭാഷകളില് സംസാരിക്കുന്നുവോ?

30. Do all have gifts of healing? Do all speak in tongues? Do all interpret?

31. എല്ലാവരും വ്യാഖ്യാനിക്കുന്നുവോ? ശ്രേഷ്ഠവരങ്ങളെ വാഞ്ഛിപ്പിന് ; ഇനി അതിശ്രേഷ്ഠമായോരു മാര്ഗ്ഗം ഞാന് നിങ്ങള്ക്കു കാണിച്ചുതരാം.

31. But eagerly desire the greater gifts. And now I will show you the most excellent way.
